The Quickster

Like Miss Appear and Captain Magma before it, this show is the next in line to build to the I.J.L.S.A miniseries. 

Plot:  "Peter Chang is an 18 year old college student who has recently developed the ability to move at supersonic speeds. Though initially using his powers to make his own life easier, Peter becomes inspired to fight for a greater good after the death of a loved one. Along the way, Peter uncovers the shocking truth about the origin of his powers, and a dastardly plan that could potentially threaten all of New Kelp City."

Ep.1  

Chang Household

"PETER! PETEEEER!" a voice was heard.

Peter Chang was seen in bed, throwing a pillow over his head.

"Does she have to do that every morning?" Peter asked himself.

Getting up, Peter uses super speed to quickly make up his bed, put on clothes, and get his book bag on.

Downstairs, Peter's mother, Sun Chang was seen putting plates on the table for breakfast.

"Same old Pete', always sleeping in." Kwang said.

"That's your brother." Sun remarked, with a laugh.

Peter suddenly appeared before them.

"PETER!" Sun said, startled.

"How do you always manage to sneak up on people like that?" Kwang asked.

"And how do you get dressed so fast?" Sun asked.

Peter just lifted his eyebrows.

"Did you shower?" Sun asked.

"Mom, for one, I'm a grown man. And for two, I showered last night." Peter said, taking bacon off his plate.

"I know, I know. You're in college now, and I shouldn't be so on top of you.. but I still feel that it's necessary." Sun said.

Peter rolled his eyes.

"Your brother here is getting ready for his first day of work at Paradye Industries." Sun said, smiling.

"Maybe when you graduate college, you'll think about coming to work with me and mom at Paradye." Kwang said, smiling.

"Yeah, or maybe jab a fork through my eye." Peter said.

"Peter, it's time for you to get serious about your life. What is it that you want to do?" Sun asked, sternly.

"Be a scientist." Peter stated.

"Paradye has great opportunities for that." Sun said.

"I have to go." Peter said.

"I woke you up early for breakfast. Wouldn't you like to join us for once?" Sun asked.

"No, I want to get to Kelp Labs before my classes start." Peter said, grabbing another piece of bacon.

"You spend a lot of time there with Irene and that.. Professor Seid." Sun said.

"I thought you wanted me to take a work study job." Peter said.

"You're right. Go." Sun said.

Peter left out.

Kelp Labs

Peter arrived at Kelp Labs, using his super speed.

As he arrived in the Lab Room, a bunch of papers blew off Professor Seid's desks.

"Oh, Peter, goodness." Seid said, startled.

"Peter, you came!" Irene said.

"You were the one who texted me to show up last night." Peter said.

"Yeah, but everyone knows you're a fan of sleeping in." Irene said, with a knowing smirk.

"Fastest fish alive, and he is always late." Seid said, chuckling.

"Well not this morning. What's up?" Peter asked.

"Uh, me and Seid have a surprise for you." Irene said.

Seid pressed a button on a remote which opened a secret door in the wall.

Inside, Peter saw a blue and white suit with a red lightning streak on it.

"This is.. this is cool." Peter said.

"It's for you." Irene said.

"Me and Irene spent some time in secret making this for you." Seid said.

"Neither of us are fashion designers, so you can probably imagine how difficult this was." Irene said.

"Just.. what is it for?" Peter asked.

"Well, Irene thought you needed a practical outfit to run around in." Seid said.

"I have been kind of wearing out my clothes.. but it's not like I can wear this silly thing out in public." Peter said, laughing.

"Well you wouldn't be wearing it as a civilian. You'd be wearing it as a hero." Irene said.

"Wait, wait, wait.. you guys want me to become a superhero?" Peter said, walking off and laughing.

"Peter, we're serious. We think you can do great things with your abilities." Irene said.

"Irene's right. Why not be the hero this city needs?" Seid asked.

"The cops can deal with the petty crime. I have a life to live. A regular.. normal.. life." Peter said, simply.

"But you're not 'regular'. You're amazing." Irene said.

"When you and Irene first came to me about your powers, I was skeptical.. but once I saw them in action, I realized that this kid - you, could serve a higher purpose." Seid explained.

"I don't see why I'm needed." Peter said.

"Maybe you haven't heard.." Seid said.

"Heard what?" Peter asked.

Seid put up an article on the screen monitor.

The headline read: "One Punch Woman: Real or Myth?"

"A woman has killed two men in New Kelp City in the past week." Seid started.

"A homicidal maniac? Nothing spectacular." Peter said.

"That's where you're wrong. Witnesses have described the woman punching a literal hole through her victims' chest. Autopsy's have confirmed this very fact." Seid told him.

"How could she be strong enough to do something like that?" Peter questioned.

"That's the myth part. Does this woman possess a meta ability?" Irene questioned.

"If she does.." Peter started.

"You might be the only person in the city who could bring her to justice." Irene said.

"Irene, we should get to the university. Our first class starts in a few minutes." Peter said.

"Right." Irene said, disappointed.

"I'll see the two of you later in class, I guess." Seid said, also disappointed.

"Later, professor." Peter said, as he and Irene took off.

Beldon Dime's Office, Paradye Industries

Beldon Dime, the CEO of Paradye Industries, is seen looking through papers on his desk.

A knock is heard.

"Yes, yes, come in!" Beldon calls out.

Kwang enters.

"Ah, Kwang Chang." Beldon said, happily.

"You wanted to see me, sir?" Kwang asked.

"Yes, have a seat. I just wanted to ask how your first day was going. Me and your mother are quite close, and when she told me how bright you were.. I knew I had to have you working here." Beldon said.

"I see you trust and value my mother's opinion." Kwang said.

"I do. She's an excellent woman." Beldon stated.

"Well, I'm just glad that I have a position here as a researcher. The study you guys did last year on new advances in neurology was simply unmatched. I'm proud to be here." Kwang said.

"Alright, continue your good work. I see lots of potential for your future here." Beldon told him.

Kwang nodded, getting up to leave.

Campus, Shale University

Peter was seen in line at the coffee stand on campus.

"Could this guy take any longer?" Peter said to himself, as the line was ridiculously long.

Peter used his speed to quickly make his own cup of coffee.

Peter than speeded over to Irene, who was by the campus fountain.

"Peter, goodness!" Irene said.

"Hey." Peter greeted

"Cut the line again at the coffee stand?" Irene said, putting her books in her bag.

"The beauty of super speed is that no one can see me making my own cup of joe." Peter whispered, winking.

"I just.. I thought you'd one day use your powers for a greater good. That's all." Irene said, walking.

Peter walked after her.

"Hey, come on. That's not fair. I was blessed with these powers, because I'm a good person." Peter said.

"We don't even know why you have these powers? And why did they manifest only a year ago? I'm just so curious." Irene said.

"I stopped caring about those answers. Besides, I have bigger issues on my mind." Peter said.

"Like what?" Irene asked.

"My mom has this 'step-family' dinner planned tonight with Ray East and his son, Tyrone." Peter revealed.

"Ohh, your mom is still dating Ray?" Irene asked.

"Yeah, they're getting more serious by the week." Peter said.

"I don't see the problem? I thought you liked his son?" Irene asked.

"Tyrone's great. That's.. kind of the problem." Peter said.

"Whoa, what does that mean?" Irene asked.

"I've hung out with Tyrone a few times, and we just.. click." Peter said.

"And? What's the problem there? It's good that you're friendly with your mom's boyfriend's son." Irene said.

"Yeah.. I guess." Peter said, biting his tongue.

Chang Household

Sun, Peter, and Kwang were seen around the dinner table, as Ray and Tyrone East entered.

"I'm glad you two could make it. Please sit." Sun said, kissing Ray.

Ray and Tyrone took their seats.

"It's great to be here. Dinner looks lovely, Ms. Kwang." Tyrone said, quite charmingly.

"Thank you, Tyrone." Sun said.

"So, Tyrone, how is your senior year of High School coming along?" Peter asked.

"I am so ready to graduate." Tyrone said, making everyone laugh.

"Well you're not done yet, you still have college to think about." Sun remarked.

"Ray, is your son thinking of attending Shale alongside Peter?" Kwang asked.

"Up to him." Ray said, shrugging.

"Definitely considering Shale." Tyrone said, flashing a smile at Peter.

"What are you looking to take up?" Sun asked.

"Uhh.. something to do with computers." Tyrone said.

"That's right! Tyrone's a hacktivist!" Peter said, pointing at him.

"That's a rebellious lifestyle." Sun said, laughing awkwardly.

"You guys should see him with a computer - he's crazy good at what he does." Peter said.

"Thanks for hyping me, Peter, but I don't think I'm that amazing." Tyrone remarked.

"Depends on who you ask." Peter complimented.

"Someone's red." Kwang said to Tyrone.

Tyrone covered his cheeks.

"Umm, compliments usually get me a little flustered." Tyrone said.

"Just teasing." Kwang said.

"Kwang had an exceptional college career. He's now working at Paradye Industries. I hope Peter decides to achieve high like his brother." Sun said.

Peter rolled his eyes.

"Aw mom, don't sing my praises." Kwang said.

"Yeah, seriously." Peter sniped.

"Kwang was always an intelligent boy. Straight A's in everything. Peter, on the other hand... quite a few D's here and there.." Sun said.

"YOU KNOW WHAT, MOM? I'm done here. I'm done letting you put me down and treat Kwang like the perfect one." Peter said, slamming his eating utensils.

"No, mom, this isn't about you. This has always been about me. Peter's always been a jealous brat." Kwang said, standing up.

Peter spat in his face.

"PETER!" Sun yelled.

Ray and Tyrone gasped.

Kwang wiped the spit with a napkin.

"I'mma go. Alright?" Kwang said, leaving out.

"I'm sorry, mom." Peter said, after a moment of silence.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to." Sun said.

"I think me and Tyrone are gonna head out too." Ray said.

"Alright. I'll call you." Sun said.

"Bye Petey." Tyrone said.

Peter waved bye.

Sun began to put the dishes up.

"Just go to your room. I can't even look at you right now." Sun said.

Peter left up to his room.

Kelp Park

Strolling through the park at night, Kwang came across the playground he and Peter used to play on.

[Flashback starts:

A nine year old Peter is seen falling off the monkey bars, hurting his ankle.

Peter begins crying.

A twelve year old Kwang is seen sliding down the slide, rushing to tend to his little brother.

"Peter! Peter! Are you okay?" Kwang asked, gently grabbing his ankle.

"It hurts!" Peter remarked, through tears.

"You'll be okay, because I got you." Kwang said, pulling Peter into a hug.

Peter clenched onto his brother.

"Besides, mom's coming back with ice cream. That should cheer you up." Kwang said, kissing his little brother on the forehead.

Flashback Ends.]

Kwang smiles at the memory.

Suddenly he hears footsteps from behind.

"That blazer you're wearing." a woman said.

"Hello, who are you?" Kwang asked.

"My name is Monica Stewart. I recognize that work outfit from Paradye Industries." Monica said.

"Yes. I am Mr. Chang." Kwang introduced himself, extending a hand.

"Mr. Chang?" Monica questioned.

"Is something the matter?" Kwang asked.

Monica punched Kwang with great force onto the playground.

"YOU ARE!" Monica yelled, with rage in her eyes.

Kwang landed under the monkey bars.

Monica jumped on top of him.

"What do you want from me!??" Kwang asked, nervously.

"JUSTICE!" Monica screamed.

Monica punched Kwang through his chest.

Kwang immediately spit up blood.

"Another one down." Monica said, standing up.

Chang Household

Peter was seen on his bed, drawing a picture.

Suddenly, his phone began to ring.

"Hello?" Peter answered.

"Hey, it's me - Tyrone." Tyrone said.

"Tyrone! Hey, umm.. did you make it home alright?" Peter asked.

"I should be asking if you're alright." Tyrone said.

"I wasn't myself tonight. I'm sorry you had to see that." Peter said, regretfully.

"Siblings fight sometimes. All the time. The only thing you can do is make up and squash the beef." Tyrone said.

"Not sure I want to do that right now." Peter said.

"You'll regret not doing it later. And I'm not just talking about a week from now, but when you guys are at the end of your lives. Taking your last breaths. You'll regret." Tyrone said, convincingly.

"You're so right. I just.. I don't even know where he is right now." Peter said.

"He's your brother. You know him better than any other soul in this world." Tyrone said.

Peter thought for a moment.

"Uh, well, he likes going to the park to think. I'll probably find him there." Peter said.

"Go get 'em, Petey." Tyrone said.

Peter hung up, and then speeded out of the house.

Kelp Park

Peter arrived at Kelp Park.

"FIRE!" Peter said, seeing that his jacket was burning.

Peter yanked it off, stomping it into the ground.

"Maybe I will start wearing that suit.." Peter said.

Peter looked around for Kwang.

"KWANG! KWANG!" Peter called out.

Peter came across the main playground they frequented as kids.

"Is that.. a body?" Peter asked.

Peter rushed over to the area under the monkey bars.

"KWANG! NOOOOO!" Peter yelled, picking up his brother's upper body.

Kwang was barely conscious.

"Pete-" Kwang tried to talk.

"Just hang in there, just hang in there!" Peter said, rocking him back and forth.

"No, no.." Kwang said.

"Kwang, listen to me! You'll be alright, because I got you!" Peter said, crying.

Kwang's eyes closed, as his breathing stopped.

Peter screamed in pain.

Chang Household

The next morning, police officers were seen talking with Sun, who kept bursting out into tears.

Peter watched from upstairs, holding in this own tears.

After the officers left, Peter approached his mother.

"I don't know how we do this without him." Sun said, throwing herself onto Peter.

Peter hugged his mother tight.

"I'm so sorry, mom! This is my fault!" Peter said.

"Don't you dare say that. This is the fault of the person who did this to him." Sun said.

"It's that woman.. I know it." Peter said.

"That silly urban legend? What do they call her.. uh, the 'One Punch Woman'?" Sun asked.

"It's not a legend. Multiple eyewitnesses have seen his woman kill two men with her bare hands." Peter said.

"I need to go lie down, and pretend this is all a dream." Sun said.

"That won't help anyone." Peter said.

"It'll help me." Sun said, racing off.

The doorbell rung.

Peter answered, seeing Beldon Dime standing before him.

"You must be Peter. I'm Beldon Dime - "

" - I know who you are." Peter said, looking angered.

"I came to drop some flowers off. I heard what happened to your brother." Beldon said.

"My mother's in no condition to speak with you right now." Peter said.

"Just take the flowers, that's all." Beldon said.

Peter nodded, taking the flowers.

"My sincerest regards." Beldon said, leaving.

----

Kelp Labs

Irene and Professor Seid were seen at Kelp Labs, looking over reports of the 'One Punch Woman'.

"Peter's gotta be a mess right now. I've left him so many messages." Irene said.

"Maybe we just need to leave him be. He'll want some space in all of this." Seid said.

"You're right." Irene said.

Just then, Peter arrived using his speed.

"Peter, whoa. What are you doing here?" Irene asked.

"Where else would I be? I spend most of my weekends here." Peter said.

"It's just, we thought with your brother's death and all.. you'd be distant." Seid said.

"My brother's death is exactly why I'm here." Peter said.

"Okay. Talk to us." Irene said.

"Tell me everything you two know about the One Punch Woman." Peter said.

"Why?" Seid asked, curiously.

"Because I'm going to kill her - like she did my brother." Peter announced.

"Are you sure this is the road you want to travel? Kwang's death is so fresh right now.." Irene said.

"Irene, please!" Peter nearly yelled.

"The man wants to know. So we'll tell him." Seid said.

Seid pulled out a white board, with all of the information he and Irene had collected on the woman.

"Her three victims, including your brother, have all been employees of Paradye Industries." Irene said.

"That's strange. Why would she specifically target Paradye employees?" Peter asked.

"We don't know, but both of the prior victims worked on a famous research team in 1998. This team were responsible for studies on the 'genome'." Seid said.

"The only oddball is your brother. He wasn't on that research team in 1998." Irene said.

"My father was. He actually received an award for the Genome Study." Peter said.

"Interesting.." Irene said.

"The only living member from this research team is now Amber Hillington. The woman lives at this address here." Seid said, circling it on the white board.

"I need to talk with her." Peter said, studying the address. 

"She could be a target for our mystery woman." Irene said.

"I know. I'm taking the suit." Peter said.

"You are?" Irene asked.

Peter nodded, dressing into the suit.

"That was quick!" Irene said.

"I'm quick. Haven't you learned that by now?" Peter joked.

"We programmed a coms-system into the suit's ear piece, so you'll be able to communicate with us when on the ground." Seid revealed.

"Neat. Gotta jet." Peter said, speeding off.

Apr. 202, Kelp Apartments

Peter speeded into Amber's apartment, breaking her locks in the process.

"What the hell! Who are you?" Amber asked, dropping her newspaper.

"If you're reading that, you should be well aware that the One Punch Woman is coming for your ass." Peter said.

Amber stood up slowly.

"She's killed members of my research team from 1998. We did a study on the Genome." Amber told him.

"I know. That's why I'm here. Why would this woman want all of you dead?" Peter asked.

Amber appeared nervous.

"I don't.. I don't know." Amber said.

"You're lying! I can tell." Peter said.

Suddenly, someone else entered the apartment.

"DON'T WORRY, SHE'LL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN." Monica Stewart said.

"Who are you?" Peter asked.

"I didn't expect interference when I came to kill this bitch, but you can leave now and I'll spare you." Monica said to Peter.

"You're the One Punch Woman." Peter remarked.

"My real name is Monica Stewart. But, if I must have a nickname, I guess I'd prefer something like... Muscle Ma'am." Monica said.

"You won't kill again, I PROMISE you that." Peter said, looking intense.

Peter speeded over to Monica, but her reflexes were fast.

Monica managed to grab his neck mid-run, and throw him into the ceiling.

Peter crashed down to the floor.

Monica came to Amber.

"Please! Don't!" Amber begged.

Monica punched Amber through her chest.

"Feels good." Monica smiled.

Monica jumped through the apartment window, landing on the side walk below.

Peter regained consciousness, using his speed to quickly run outside.

"OUT of my way, white and blue!" Monica said, as Peter stood in her path.

"Peter, come in!" Seid said, from Kelp Labs.

Peter touched his com.

"Seid! Irene! Muscle Ma'am showed up and murdered Amber." Peter revealed.

"Muscle WHAT?" Irene questioned.

"Peter, you have to stop her! HERE AND NOW!" Seid urged.

Peter tried running up to her again, but she grabbed him and threw him into a parked car on the other side of the street.

Citizens began to gather around the scene.

Monica lifted up an entire car, throwing it at Peter.

Peter used his speed to quickly dodge, as civilians began running and screaming.

"Peter, the only way that you can subvert her strength is by building up enough kinetic energy to match it!" Seid explained.

"I know how to do that!" Peter said.

Peter used his speed to run all the way to the edge of the city.

Bending down to the ground, Peter speeded all the way back to the scene, building up a massive amount of kinetic energy.

Peter used the energy to land a super punch in Monica's face.

Monica went charging into the ground some feet away.

Peter raced over to her body.

Monica appeared unconscious.

"Wow, Peter.. you are a quick-ster." Irene said, over coms.

"Quick-ster." Peter said, chuckling.

Civilians were seen clapping and cheering.

"All for me? Alright, I'll take it!" Peter said, smiling and waving.

Police officers arrived at the scene.

"Who are you?" an officer asked.

"Uhh.." Peter started to think.

A few officers were seen putting an Inhibitor Collar on Irene.

"The Quickster." Peter announced. 

Peter speeded off, as the cops were flustered.

Kelp Labs

At Kelp Labs, Peter was seen settling down with Irene and Seid, as the three ate ice cream.

"So, it's been a half hour and already every major publication in the city is talking about. The Quickster." Irene said.

"You made it up." Peter laughed.

"I just said a random made up word. You ran with it." Irene said, laughing.

"An update." Seid said, looking at the computer.

"Did they identify her?" Irene asked.

"Peter was right. Monica Stewart. A pretty normal woman for the most part." Seid said.

"There must be something tying her to Paradye." Irene said.

"If there's gonna be more metas like her popping up.. this city is gonna need The Quickster." Peter said.

Irene smiled.

"You could of killed her out there. You didn't." Irene noticed.

"She could of killed me, actually." Peter said, raising his eyebrows.

"I know you wanted justice for your brother." Irene said.

"..And I still got it. She's locked up now. She'll pay." Peter nodded.

"We need to find out how you and Monica received your powers." Seid addressed.

"Maybe we need to start with Paradye. Monica attacked them for a reason." Peter said.

"Paradye is a force to be reckoned with." Irene said.

"He's right, Irene. We need to hack into Paradye's files." Seid said.

"Hack? Are you insane?" Irene asked.

"How else would we get a lead?" Peter asked.

"Well, I can't hack, that's for sure." Seid said.

"Peter's friend can.." Irene realized.

"Tyrone?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, you told me before that he's exceptional with computers." Irene said.

"I'm not sure I want to bring him into all of this." Peter said.

"Like you said. How else?" Seid retorted.

"Fine. I'll talk to him about it soon." Peter said.

"We're gonna figure this out, together." Irene nodded.

Peter looked hopeful.

Ep.2 

Shelly's Coffee Shop

Peter was seen waiting a table at Shelly's, a popular coffee shop in New Kelp.

Tyrone walks into the shop, walking over to Peter.

"Hey. I got you a latte." Peter greeted, gesturing toward the latte.

"Thanks, Petey. Though, I'm a little surprised you wanted to meet with me." Tyrone said, taking a seat.

"I know I've been distant since my brother's death.." Peter remarked.

"I thought the service yesterday was beautiful." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, and expensive. But, my brother deserved the best." Peter said.

"I know you two had issues, but he seemed like a decent guy. Hardworking." Tyrone remarked.

"Yeah, well.. he's actually the reason I wanted us to meet." Peter said.

"Oh?" Tyrone asked.

"I need your help with something." Peter said.

"Tech-wise?" Tyrone asked.

"Exactly." Peter said.

"Whatever it is, I'm down." Tyrone said.

"You may regret saying that." Peter joked.

Kelp Labs

Peter and Tyrone arrived at Kelp Labs.

"Yo! This place is so cool!" Tyrone gushed, looking around.

"Peter, hey. You brought him." Irene noted.

"Oh, hi. Who is the cute girl?" Tyrone asked Peter.

"This is my best friend, Irene." Peter introduced.

"You must be Tyrone." Irene said, shaking his hand.

"Uh, so Peter told me that Paradye Industries might have something to do with One Punch Woman?" Tyrone asked.

"She calls herself Muscle Ma'am, but yeah." Irene said.

"Okay, but hacking into Paradye is going to be.. risky." Tyrone said.

"Hey, I told you on the way here. You don't HAVE to do this for me." Peter reminded him.

"No, no. I want to help you find out why your brother was murdered. Just explain one thing - what will you do with this information?" Tyrone asked.

"Expose Paradye. What else?" Peter replied.

"They could try to take you out." Tyrone said.

"They'd be too slow." Peter said.

Peter used his super speed to quickly change into his Quickster outfit.

"OH MY GOD! YOU'RE HIM!" Tyrone said, getting excited.

"Yup!" Peter said.

"He is the one that they call The Quickster." Irene added.

"Whoa, this is too much excitement in one day. Especially considering we buried your brother twenty four hours ago." Tyrone remarked.

Peter looked glum.

Professor Seid arrived.

"What the hell is this?" Seid asked.

"Oh, SeId.. you said it was a good idea to bring in Tyrone." Irene said.

"To hack Paradye for us. But, now he knows Peter is The Quickster." Seid said.

"I'm super trustful. Don't worry." Tyrone said.

"It's not about you. It's about Peter's secret." Seid said.

"Which will stay intact." Peter said.

Seid walked up close to Peter.

"Your secret identity is everything. Never forget that." Seid said, walking off.

Chang Household

The doorbell rings, as Sun races to answer.

"Oh, Mr. Dime.." Sun said, trying to wipe away her tears.

"Please, Sun. We've been close friends for a few years now. Call me Beldon." Beldon said, entering.

"Sorry." Sun said, closing the door.

"How are you? I just wanted to check in after the funeral yesterday." Beldon said.

"I'm doing as good as can be expected. I just lost my child." Sun said, walking over to her couch.

Beldon followed after.

"I know how you feel. If I had lost my daughter like that.. I wouldn't be able to live with myself." Beldon said.

"I'm relying on the support of my boyfriend right now." Sun said.

"Good, good. If you need a few days off work next week, I'd be happy to excuse you." Beldon said.

"No. Work is what I do best when I'm stressed. Quite ironic, isn't it?" Sun asked.

Beldon raised his eyebrows.

Shelly's

At Shelly's, we see a young woman enter.

A group of sorority girls from Shale University turn their attention to her.

"Allison, isn't that Pamela Palmer?" one of the girls asked.

Allison stood up.

Pamela came over to her.

"Pamela - it's been awhile. Everyone knows you dropped out of Shale just because we kicked you out of our sorority. I'm surprised you'd show your face here." Allison said.

"Yeah! Shouldn't you be heading back home to Bikini Bottom?" another girl asked.

"I returned because I wanted to give you all a little departing present. One that I wasn't able to give you before." Pamela said.

"And what's that?" Allison asked, shaking her head.

Pamela extended her hand, letting out hypnotic waves at the five girls. 

All of them passed out, as other costumers looked on.

"That." Pamela said, smiling.

Examination Room, Kelp Labs

In the examination room, Irene was seen giving Peter a medical evaluation.

"So, your vitals have all been great. Your body is actually rapidly healing itself in magnificent ways." Irene said, looking at a screen.

"You're going to make a fine doctor, one day." Peter smiled.

"Thanks. I certainly hope so." Irene said.

"Seriously, all of your hard work is paying off." Peter said.

"Growing up in foster care, I never thought I'd have a chance to be attending Shale University, or making my dream come true. But, everything is going great." Irene explained.

"So.. uh, Seid seemed intense this morning." Peter said.

"Sometimes I think Seid is a little depressed." Irene said.

"How so?" Peter asked.

"He'd planned for Kelp Labs to be this beacon of scientific progress, but.. Paradye Industries has completely snatched that hope away. They recruit all possible employers, and everyone wants to hear what they have to say. No one wants to hear from Kelp Labs where the only employees are a crackpot college professor and his two freshman interns." Irene remarked.

"He'll get his big break. I know it." Peter said.

Suddenly, Tyrone comes running into the room.

"Guys! Guys!" Tyrone said, excitedly.

"Did you find something?" Peter asked.

"I did. I finally broke through some of their mainframes." Tyrone revealed.

"What did you find?" Irene asked.

"Something that will interest all of you." Tyrone said.

Tyrone, Peter, Irene, and Seid all arrived back in the Main Room.

Tyrone hopped back on the computer to show them what he discovered.

"It's only been a couple hours, so this is the most I've uncovered." Tyrone said.

"It's a list." Seid noticed.

"Child Experimentation Inquiry." Tyrone said.

"Child?" Peter asked.

"There are dozens of names here. Petey...you're one of them." Tyrone pointed out.

Peter looked shocked.

"What does this all mean?" Irene questioned.

"Paradye must of been experimenting with babies. Trying to make them metafish." Peter explained.

"This is insane.." Peter said, shaking his head.

"You weren't blessed with your powers. You were experimented on." Irene remarked.

"I'm sorry, Peter." Seid said.

"Peter, what if this means your parents knew?" Irene asked.

"Come on, don't do that." Peter said.

"Some of the people on this list.. their powers are described. It seems Paradye has also been keeping a close eye on them." Tyrone said.

"Peter, your father worked on the Genome study. Are you still gonna deny that he could be apart of this?" Irene asked.

"I can't exactly ask him, he's DEAD." Peter shouted, walking off.

Tyrone ran after him in the hall.

"Hey, come back." Tyrone said.

"No, no. I just need a minute to cool off." Peter said.

"Look, you just took in a lot of information. No one blames you for being thrown off." Tyrone said, stroking his arm.

"I guess I feel like I don't know anything anymore. I used to be carefree about these powers,.. now I'm questioning things I didn't a year ago!" Peter stressed.

Tyrone hugged him.

"We'll get through it together." Tyrone said.

Peter nodded.

Peter and Tyrone returned to the room.

"Guys, we got a situation." Irene said.

Seid turned up the volume on the TV.

"Police are still on the look out for a young woman who reportedly put five sorority girls into a comatose-like state. The five girls, all from Shale University, are undergoing medical evaluation at New Kelp General Hospital. At this time, we can only ask why New Kelp has suddenly come under attack by metafish criminals." a news reporter summed up.

"This young woman.. is she on the list?" Peter asked.

"A girl named Pamela Palmer is described here on the list. Her intended powers match the news report." Irene said, scrolling down.

"What does it say?" Peter asked.

"The experiments done on her were supposed to be able to allow her to induce illusions in the minds of others." Irene read.

"How do we stop someone like her?" Peter asked.

"I'll brainstorm something, but until then.. don't try and go after her." Irene said to Peter.

"I agree with Irene." Seid said.

"So what am I supposed to do in the meantime?" Peter asked.

"Pamela went after a group of sorority girls. I don't think that's random." Seid said.

"An online news article says the girls are apart of Shell Gamma Pi. I know those girls." Irene said.

"They go to Shale U?" Tyrone asked.

"I have a Drama 101 class with the lead of their sorority." Peter remembered.

"Why don't you talk to her? That's doing something, is it not?" Irene suggested.

"Fine." Peter said.

Campus, Shale University

A young woman was seen heading across campus at night, texting with every step she took.

Suddenly, the girl heard a whoosh.

"Texting and walking. A dangerous combination." Peter said, vibrating his voice.

The girl turned around.

"Oh my god! You're The Quickster." the girl said, nearly dropping her phone.

"That's what they call me. And you are Lisa Simmons." Peter said.

"Wait, you know ME?" Lisa asked.

"A recent case of mine drew me toward your name." Peter said.

"What case?" Lisa asked.

"Why would Pamela Palmer be targeting your sorority?" Peter asked.

"Oh my god.. she's the one who did it, isn't she?" Lisa asked.

"What's her beef?" Peter asked.

"She didn't fit it.. simple as that. So, we kicked her out. She accused of us of bullying and hazing, but it was never like that. Anyway, she dropped out of the university and moved back home to Bikini Bottom." Lisa revealed.

"Well, now she has a grudge and she's out to settle it." Peter told her.

"I should get to my dorm.." Lisa said, trying to walk off.

Out of the blue, Pamela steps out from some bushes.

"I knew it wouldn't be hard to find you." Pamela said.

Peter and Lisa appeared stunned.

Kelp Labs

Back at Kelp Labs, Seid checked in with Irene in the Lab Room.

"Hey, what are you up to?" Seid asked.

"Making an experimental antidote to the effects of Lisa's powers." Irene said, clad with gloves, goggles and her lab suit.

"You figured something out, didn't you?" Seid asked, walking over to her.

"I figured that using Stimulants would be the best way to wake someone up out of.. well, whatever Lisa's abilities do to them." Irene said.

"But what are you targeting?" Seid asked.

"The nervous system. This cocktail I'm working on should be able to give it quite the kick." Irene said.

"Enough to pull the sorority girls out from under?" Seid questioned.

"Hopefully." Irene said.

"You are truly amazing, you know that?" Seid asked.

"Sure. Anyway, where is Tyrone?" Irene asked.

"He may of found his way into the little kitchen area we have." Seid said.

"Don't tell me he's eating my yogurt balls!" Irene freaked out.

Seid bit his lip.

Campus, Shale University

"Look, you don't want to do this." Peter said to Pamela.

"Lisa and her sorority ruined my college career. They deserve every bit of this." Pamela said, shedding tears.

"Pamela, whatever it is that we did to you.. I'm sorry." Lisa apologized.

"Did you say sorry when you forced me to streak? Or when you guys spiked my drink and caused me get my stomach pumped for two hours in the emergency room?" Pamela asked.

"Lisa, did you really do it?" Peter asked.

"Yes. Yes.." Lisa admitted.

"Now do you agree with what I'm going to do to her?" Pamela asked.

"I'm sorry, but no." Peter said.

Pamela, angered, extended her arm.

Peter used his super speed to snatch her away.

"Where'd they go?" Lisa said, freaked out.

Kelp Labs

Peter speeded himself and Pamela into the main room at Kelp Labs.

"WHOA! Where am I?" Pamela asked.

"Kelp Labs. Look, I wanted to get through to you. I thought the best way to do that would be away from the woman who bullied you." Peter said.

"NO! You're ruining everything!" Pamela said.

"I can help you. Me and some friends are trying to find out what caused my abilities.. and yours." Peter said.

"I already know. Paradye did this to me. It was a blessing in disguise." Pamela said.

"Wait, you remember experimented on?" Peter asked.

"The experiments were conducted on children as old as ten. I was one of the older ones. At first, my abilities manifested slightly, but it wasn't until recently that I've been able to fully access them." Pamela explained.

"And you decided to use them to get revenge on Lisa and the others? Way to put your powers to good use." Peter said, disappointed.

"Well, that's the thing. Some of us aren't good." Pamela said, darkly.

Pamela extended her arm, shooting hypnotic waves at Peter.

Peter fell out.

Pamela kneeled down by his body.

"Now, let's see who you are underneath that mask." Pamela said, touching his face mask.

From behind, Pamela was whacked in the head with a pipe.

"OWW!" Pamela said, passing out next to Peter.

"PETER!" Tyrone yelled, dropping the pipe.

Instantly, Irene and Seid ran into the room.

"WHAT HAPPENED?" Seid screamed.

"Peter must of brought her here, and now he's.. under." Tyrone said.

"I TOLD him not to engage her. Now what?" Irene asked.

"Irene, go get the cocktail you whipped up. Tyrone get a power inhibitor from the storage downstairs - BEFORE she wakes up. I'll get Peter onto a medical table." Seid said, picking Peter up.

Peter's Illusion

Peter opens his eyes. He appears to be in a hospital. The lighting is white, and almost dream-like.

Sun comes from around a corner, rushing to Peter.

"Mom?" Peter asked.

"Peter, the doctor just said that we can go in and see him!" Sun said, grabbing his shoulders.

"Kwang?" Peter asked.

"Yes. He made it through the operation!" Sun said, pulling Peter along.

Peter and Sun enter Kwang's hospital room.

Sun hugs Kwang, with tears pouring out of her eyes.

"I'm so glad you're okay." Sun said, kissing his cheeks.

"I am too, mom." Kwang said, feeling smothered.

"I'll go get you something to drink." Sun said, rushing out.

"Anything to say, bro?" Kwang asked Peter.

Peter, in a state of confusion, slowly walked over to his bedside.

"You're.. you're dead.." Peter said.

"I'm here, Peter. Sorry if that's not what you wanted." Kwang said.

"Don't say that. I love you, Kwang." Peter said, shedding tears.

"I love you too. I'm sorry about the fight we had." Kwang remarked.

"I didn't mean it! I didn't mean it!" Peter said, wiping his face.

Kwang grabbed his hand.

"I know, Peter. I know." Kwang stated, looking at his brother knowingly.

Medical Room, Kelp Labs

Irene rushes in with the stimulant cocktail.

"Will that save Petey?" Tyrone asked.

"This cocktail is experimental. Early stages." Irene said, looking nervous.

"Irene, we don't have a choice. We need to wake Peter up, NOW." Seid stressed.

Irene looked at Peter lying on the medical table.

"Okay, I'll inject him." Irene said.

Irene injects Peter with the cocktail.

Peter's vitals begin to rapidly pick up.

"Is everything okay?" Tyrone asked, nervous.

"I don't know!" Irene said, visibly shaking.

Peter's vitals went to their normal state, and he opened his eyes.

Peter's body jerked up.

"What happened?" Peter asked.

"You big dummy!" Tyrone said, hugging him.

"You went after Pamela." Irene said.

"Ya know, Pamela is such a boring name. I say we call her Illustress." Tyrone said.

"Whatever we call her, I'm just happy that my cocktail seems to have worked." Irene said.

"Hopefully you can recreate it to help the sorority girls?" Seid asked.

"I'll be working on that." Irene nodded.

"Hey, maybe that will be the thing that puts Kelp Labs on the map?" Peter stated.

Irene and Seid nodded in agreement.

"So, what'd you see? When you were under?" Tyrone asked.

"My brother." Peter said.

Everyone went silent.

"He was alive, and I saw him in the hospital." Peter revealed.

"It's awful that Illustress put you through that." Irene said.

"No. I think it was gift. I got to see my brother again.. and tell him what I wished I could have." Peter said, shedding a tear.

Tyrone grasped his hand.

"He'll always be with you." Tyrone said.

Peter nodded.

"So, where is Pamela?" Peter asked.

"We put a power inhibitor on her and locked her up in the examination cell." Seid said.

"The what?" Peter asked.

"We didn't know either. But, apparently Seid built a room to contain and study meta's." Irene said.

"It was supposed to be secret. But, I thought it would be useful for our little... Illustress." Seid said.

"So, you built a prison room? Do you know how wrong that is?" Peter questioned.

"I do. I still did it. So, be mad at me all you want, but I can't change the past." Seid said.

"None of us can." Peter said, glumly.

----

Irene's Dorm Room

Irene got a knock on her door.

"Peter? It's pretty late." Irene said.

"Well, we don't have classes tomorrow, so i thought I'd drop by with snacks." Peter said, holding a bag.

Irene took the bag.

"Cheesy weezy doodles, vanilla ice cream, canned sodas, and strawberry wafers. You want to have a movie night, don't you?" Irene asked.

"Unless you're too tired?" Peter asked.

"No, come in." Irene said.

Peter and Irene sat at the edge of her bed.

"So, what happened with Pamela?" Irene asked.

"I dropped her off at the police station. Warned them of her power." Peter said.

"The Quickster scores again." Irene said, smiling.

"Yeah, I feel pretty proud of myself. Tyrone's proud of me too. I'm so glad we let him in on this." Peter said.

"Speaking of Tyrone, it seems pretty clear that the two of you really care about each other." Irene said.

"What do you mean? Peter asked.

"I finally noticed, okay? The way you lit up when he was by your side after you came from out the illusive coma... it spoke volumes." Irene said.

"Okay. You're right. I have a crush on Tyrone." Peter said.

"I knew it!" Irene cheered.

"But, it would be pointless to tell him. I just don't know if he'd return my feelings." Peter said.

"Trust me, Tyrone East is very much interested in you." Irene said.

"Anyway, what movie do you want to watch?" Peter asked.

"Wait. Uh.. I have something to tell you. Me and Seid wanted to tell you earlier, but his announcement of the examination cell made it seem like bad timing." Irene said.

"Just tell me." Peter said.

"We made this." Irene said, pulling out a bug device.

Peter was shocked.

"Peter, if you plant this on your mother, we'll be able to find out what she knows about the Child Experimentation Inquiry." Irene said.

"I can't believe you guys." Peter said, standing up.

"I know, it's ethically questionable. And I know that you don't want to suspect your own mother.. but, we are so close to busting this whole thing wide open." Irene said.

Peter thought long and hard.

"I'll do it." Peter said, snatching the device.

Meeting Room, Paradye Industries

Sun was seen entering the meeting room at Paradye.

"Sun, nice of you to show up." Beldon said, sitting at the end of a long table.

Sun took her seat.

"You can all stop treating me like I'm fragile." Sun said, sitting her purse on the floor.

"We just want to be respectful. We would of understood if you needed time off." another employee said.

"Thank you, Frank. But, I'm fine. Can we move along with the meeting?" Sun asked.

"As you wish. I asked everyone here, because Paradye is facing a potentially dire situation." Beldon announced.

"We know. The metafish emergence." Frank said.

"When Paradye did the Child Experimentation Inquiry, we knew that one day those children would fully develop the abilities we gave them. This is on us." a woman said.

"That was the goal, Serena. But, the experiments usually failed more than they succeeded. The children would show signs of these great abilities, but then the powers would go dormant." Beldon said.

"Well, that's all changed. The children from that list are popping up with abilities." Serena said.

"And wreaking havoc on New Kelp City. If this was ever traced to us, we'd be in deep you-know-what." Frank said, shaking his head.

Other employees agreed.

"Sun, you're awfully quiet. Wasn't Peter one of the children used in the experiments?" Beldon asked.

"Peter did not go through full experimentation. It's impossible for him to have abilities." Sun said, getting tense.

"I'd keep an eye on him, still." Beldon said.

"Enough about my son. How about that speedster that's been running around? The one cleaning our mess." Sun brought up.

"I'll be looking into this... Quickster, in due time. This meeting is finished." Beldon said.

Kelp Labs

At Kelp Labs, Peter, Irene, Tyrone, and Seid had overheard the entire conversation by tapping into the bug Peter planted on his mother's purse.

"It looks like she's in on it, Petey..." Tyrone said, touching his shoulder.

Peter looked angry.

"We can deal with this." Irene said.

"HOW, Irene? My mother was apart of illegal experimentation!" Peter said.

"You know what? Why don't we all look on the bright side, right now? Kelp Labs is being awarded for the discovery Irene made in reversing the effects of Illustress's powers." Seid said, poking Irene.

Irene blushed.

"It was nothing, really." Irene said, modestly.

"No, no, no. It was something. You're going to help me put Kelp Labs back on the map." Seid said.

"Well, I'd stay and gush with everyone, but school starts in T minus twenty." Tyrone said, grabbing his backpack.

"Oh, Peter, we should get going too." Irene said.

"He'll be right after you." Seid said to Irene.

"Okay." Irene said, as she and Tyrone left.

"Am I in trouble, daddy?" Peter joked.

"Call me daddy again, and you will be." Seid said.

Peter gave a faint smile.

"Look, I know your whole world just erupted, but we need to eat this one bite at a time." Seid said.

"I'm gonna try, but I should really get going now." Peter said.

"Alright, bud." Seid said.

Peter left out.

Shelly's Coffee Shop

Inside Shelly's, we see two twin siblings sitting at a table.

"I asked for a peppermint latte, Teo." the girl said.

"That's not in season right now, Tammie." Teo said, drinking his own coffee.

"Whatever. Anyway, I got his address." Tammie said.

"Whose?" Teo asked.

"Duuuh, Beldon Dime. I just need you to drive me." Tammie said. 

"I'm not going to help you with another murder, Tammie." Teo said.

"I didn't MURDER mom." Tammie said, getting heated.

"You need to control your anger!" Teo said.

"If you won't help me, I'll hurt everyone here." Tammie said.

"Don't!" Teo said.

Tammie created a small yellow-colored ball of pure energy.

"NO!" Teo said, alerting others.

Tammie threw the ball behind the counter, causing a massive explosion.

People began to run out of Shelly's, as Tammie laughed evilly.

"We have to get out of here, NOW!" Teo said.

Teo and Tammie ran out of the cafe, where a police car pulled up.

"Hold!" an officer said, rolling down the window.

Tammie threw another energy ball at the cop car, causing another explosion that pushed the twins onto the ground.

"You IDIOT!" Teo yelled at her.

"Just get us out of here!" Tammie said.

Teo took Tammie by the waist.

Using his own powers, he blasted them both into the sky.

Chang Household

Sun walked into her home, but was surprised to see Peter in the living room.

"Peter? What are you doing here?" Sun asked.

"I could ask you the same question." Peter said, turning the TV up louder, and throwing more chips into his mouth.

"I'm on my lunch break, young man. YOU are supposed to be at your classes right now." Sun said.

Peter turned the TV up even louder.

Sun grabbed the remote from him.

"Peter!" Sun yelled.

"WHAT?" Peter yelled back.

"I have no idea what's going on right now. Why aren't you at Shale?" Sun asked.

"Taking a mental health day." Peter said, snappily.

"You're in school, not working a 9 to 5." Sun said.

"Ya know what, I'm going up to my room. I need a nap." Peter said, storming off.

Sun appeared stunned and confused.

East Household

Sun was seen knocking on Ray's door.

Ray opened up.

"Hey, you know I gave you a key." Ray said.

"I didn't want to intrude." Sun said, walking in.

"On your lunch?" Ray asked.

"Yup." Sun said.

"The benefits of working from home is that I can take several, several, lunch breaks a day." Ray said, laughing.

"Lucky you. I only have a few minutes, but I wanted to drop by and talk to you about something." Sun said.

"Of course. What of?" Ray asked.

"Peter. When I went home, I found him skipping his classes. He kind of blew up at me when I confronted him, and then went up to his room. I thought I'd make him a sandwich as a peace offering, but he'd locked his door and wouldn't let me in." Sun explained.

"Babe, look... Peter's still a teenager, and right now he's dealing with some nasty emotions. Teenagers aren't the best at handling those kinds of emotions." Ray said.

"Kwang's death is still so fresh, but Peter was nothing but an angel to me for the first week after." Sun said.

"People change fast. So do emotions. Not everything hits everyone at the same speed." Ray told her.

Sun nodded.

"I'm glad I have you." Sun said, hugging Ray.

Ray kissed her on the head.

Kelp Labs

Peter arrived at Kelp Labs, storming in with his speed.

"Peter." Irene said.

"Peter, where the hell were you today?" Seid asked.

"Sorry, Professor Seid. I stayed home, ate food, and watched daytime soaps." Peter said.

Irene looked at him in confusion.

"Instead of coming to my lecture?" Seid asked.

"YES." Peter yelled.

"Peter, are you okay?" Irene asked.

"You guys are the ones who alerted me here. Just tell me what's happened now." Peter said.

"Alright then, we'll save this discussion for later." Seid said.

Suddenly, Tyrone walked in.

"Just in time." Irene said.

"What's the situation?" Tyrone asked.

"The video footage we had you hack into the street cams for." Irene said.

"Ohhh yeah, Peter, you've gotta see it." Tyrone said.

Seid put the video footage on the big screen.

The first video showed the inside of Shelly's.

"Did that girl just... throw an explosive behind the counter?" Peter asked, curiously.

"Some kind of energy construct, yes." Seid said.

"Switch to the street cams." Irene said.

Seid showed the second video, which saw Tammie throwing another energy ball at the cop car, and showed Teo flying off with her.

"Who are these kids?" Peter asked.

Tyrone hopped on the computer.

"The Paradye List has a pair of twins listed. Tammie Hernandez, 16, can create balls and spheres of energy. Teo Hernandez, 16, is able to generate thermo-chemical energy and release it from his skin." Tyrone revealed.

"So, the release of this thermo-chemical energy allows him to thrust his body off the ground and simulate flight." Irene noted.

"Not just simulate, but from the way he propelled him and his sister into the air... I'm going to say that he can fly at supersonic speeds." Seid speculated.

"Soooo, the flight version of Peter? Seems legit." Tyrone said, looking at Peter.

"And that girl has quite an interesting meta ability." Irene said.

"I think I'll call her, Boom. And the guy will be... CANNONBALL!" Tyrone stated.

"Cute." Irene said, laughing.

"Find their address. I'm gonna pay them a little visit." Peter said.

"Maybe we shouldn't be so bold." Irene said.

"I'm ALL for bold, today. I'll be fine." Peter said.

"Okay, chill." Irene said.

"Sorry." Peter said.

"Petey, why don't you come with me." Seid asked.

Peter rolled his eyes, but followed after Seid.

Seid and Peter walked down to a large room on the lower level of Kelp Labs.

"I call this the Speed Room." Seid said.

"WHEN are you finding the time to build this stuff? This place is wicked awesome." Peter said, looking around.

"Much better than the prison I made, huh?" Seid asked.

"You think I'm still angry with you for the prison room?" Peter asked.

"You're angry at something." Seid said.

"People aren't who I thought they were anymore. Not you and not even my mother." Peter said, dismayed.

"That's life, unfortunately. None of us are perfect." Seid explained.

"I never said people had to be perfect." Peter said.

"This room is able to measure your speed levels. Also good for blowing off steam." Seid said, raising his eyebrows.

"I can test it out?" Peter asked.

"Break it in all you need. When Tyrone is able to find the Hernandez's address, we'll call you up." Seid said, flashing a smile.

"Thanks, professor." Peter said, as Seid left.

Hernandez Household

Tammie was seen peaking through the window blinds.

"Would you cut that out!" Teo said, sweeping.

"No one knows it was US. We'll be fine." Tammie said.

"The street cams have our FACES on it!" Teo said.

"I've been looking out for cops all day. None have shown up. We're in the clear." Tammie said.

"Until someone comes here looking for mom." Teo said.

"We'll get jobs, move out, change our names, and just put this behind us!" Tammie said.

"You're a loose canon, dude." Teo said, shaking his head.

"Not a dude, dude." Tammie said, rolling her eyes.

"The basement is really starting to smell." Teo said, grabbing a can of spray.

Teo and Tammie opened the basement door.

On the floor, a white body bag could be seen.

Teo sprayed.

"What was that sound?" Tammie asked, as the siblings ran back upstairs.

Peter had burst into the house using his speed.

"The Quickster!" Tammie said.

"Tammie and Teo Hernandez, am I right?" Peter asked.

"Who wants to know?" Tammie asked.

"ME!" Peter said.

Tammie threw five balls of energy at Peter. 

The explosion caused Peter to be pushed into their television screen, as the screen shattered, and Peter received an electric shock.

"Time to go." Teo said.

Tammie and Teo ran outside.

Peter rubbed his head, but got up quickly.

Peter ran around the twins, using his speed.

"WHAT IS HE DOING?" Tammie asked, over the sound of a whirlwind.

"CREATING A WHIRLWIND AROUND US." Teo shouted.

Teo grabbed onto Tammie, and used his powers to emit a supersonic burst.

Peter was sent flying into a car, as Teo and Tammie were seen in the sky.

Peter watched as Teo flew them away at great speeds.

"Uhhh, my ribs!" Peter moaned, holding his sides.

"Peter, come in!" Irene was heard through his coms.

Peter touched his coms.

"I think... I think I broke my ribs!" Peter said.

"Probably a fracture, but that's okay. You can heal at a far greater speed than anyone in the world." Seid reminded him.

"Right..." Peter said, pulling himself together.

As cop cars were heard, Peter used his remaining energy to speed back to Kelp Labs.

Kelp Labs

"Petey, are you okay?" Tyrone asked, as Peter stumbled in.

"I think it's getting better already." Peter said, putting his arm around Tyrone.

Tyrone laid him on the medical table.

"Just rest there." Irene said.

"What happened?" Seid asked.

"When Teo - "

" - Canonball." Tyrone cut him off.

"When CANNONBALL thrusted... it blasted me away." Peter explained.

"Is he... faster than you?" Irene questioned.

"Oh, come on." Peter said.

"I don't think he is. I think it's just easier for him to direct his speed than it is for Peter." Tyrone chimed in.

"You may be on to something, Mr. East. Flying and running are two totally different mechanisms." Seid said.

"So, how do I optimize my speed better?" Peter asked.

"Follow me." Seid asked.

Seid took Peter to the third floor.

"Where are we going?" Peter asked.

"This room." Seid said, entering a password into the code lock.

"You told us this was an off limits area." Peter said.

"Yeah, because I keep all my crazy inventions and ideas in this place. I'll give you the password later. I trust you." Seid said.

Peter smiled.

Peter and Seid entered the small room.

"Cool place. A little dark, though." Peter said.

"Sorry about the lighting, but we're here for this." Seid said, picking up a small device.

"What is that?" Peter asked.

"A speed accelerator. I've been working on it for you for awhile. All you have to do is attach it to your suit, and it'll help you draw more energy." Seid explained.

"For more speed." Peter said.

"Exactly, but you have to be ready to handle the surge it gives you." Seid expressed.

"I'll train in the Speed Room. All night. Don't really want to go home, anyway." Peter said.

"You should sleep at some point. Unless you're planning to miss my class again tomorrow." Seid said.

"My head is not really there right now." Peter said.

"Alright. You're an adult. You'll deal with the consequences." Seid said, raising his eyebrows.

"Already have been. Just ask my dead brother." Peter said, leaving out.

Chang Household

The next morning, Sun heard the doorbell.

Opening the door, it was Beldon.

"Beldon... I was just on my way to work." Sun said.

"We have a new issue." Beldon said, walking in.

"What now?" Sun asked.

"Yesterday, the police showed up at the household of Tammie and Teo Hernandez." Beldon explained.

"The twins from the study." Sun remembered.

"Exactly. Tammie was the one who exploded a cop car the other day, severely injuring two officers." Beldon told her.

"What did the police find in their home?" Sun asked.

"A body bag." Beldon revealed.

Sun searched the story on her phone.

"All these reports. I've been so worried about my son, that I totally missed the morning News." Sun said.

"Your son? What happened?" Beldon asked.

"He didn't come home last night." Sun said.

Beldon looked curious.

"Anyway, it says here that they found the body of Amanda Hernandez inside the bag. Did the twins kill their own mother?" Sun questioned.

"Tammie likely did it by accident. From what we've seen, these people are starting to re-develop their abilities... sometimes to horrific outcomes." Beldon said.

"How about that." Sun stated.

"Eventually it'll get out. What Paradye did." Beldon said.

"I assume you have a plan to prevent that." Sun said.

"Making more." Beldon said.

"More... metas?" Sun asked.

"If everyone is a meta, there won't be controversy about what Paradye did." Beldon rationalized.

"No, there will be more controversy. Are you insane? How would you even have the means to make everyone in the city a metafish?" Sun asked.

"I don't have the means. Not yet, at least. All that may change, next week." Beldon hinted.

Beldon Dime's Home

Tammie and Teo knocked on the door of Beldon's house in a nice area of New Kelp City.

A woman answered.

"Hello, can I help you?" the woman asked.

"Does Beldon Dime live here?" Tammie asked.

"That's my husband. Do you have some business with him?" the woman asked.

"Yes." Tammie said.

"I'm sorry, but he's at his company, right now. Why don't I give him a call for you." the woman said.

"We'll wait him out." Tammie said.

"Uh... no." the woman said.

Tammie created an energy ball.

"If you want to keep all your body pieces intact, I think you'll let us in." Tammie said.

The woman gulped, opening her door wider.

Kelp Labs

Irene and Tyrone arrived at Kelp Labs.

Peter appeared behind him.

"Hey! Don't scare me like that." Irene said, handing him a milkshake.

"A shake?" Peter asked.

"Thought you could use it, since you've been here all day." Irene said.

"Thanks." Peter said, sipping.

"So, I've been thinking about Boom and Cannonball." Tyrone said.

"About how those names are absolutely cheesy?" Peter asked.

Tyrone stuck his tongue out at Peter.

"Anyway, I'm assuming we all heard the news?" Tyrone asked.

"Their mom is dead." Peter said.

"And they may have killed her." Irene added.

"Maybe they found out their mom had something to do with their powers?" Tyrone suggested.

"The mom was never a worker at Paradye." Irene said.

"But she still let Paradye use them." Tyrone said.

"True. So, where would Boom and Cannonball go next?" Irene questioned.

"Straight to the head." Tyrone said.

"Beldon Dime." Peter said.

Beldon Dime's Home

Beldon arrived home.

"Marissa, honey! I'm home! Is Melondy at tennis practice?" Beldon shouted, arriving inside his home.

Beldon walked into his living room.

He saw his wife sitting silently on the couch, as the twins hovered around her.

"We've been waiting a long time for you, Mr. Dime." Teo said.

"I was getting all fired up." Tammie said, creating another energy ball.

"Look, I know why you're here." Beldon said.

"Oh, you do?" Tammie asked.

"You think I destroyed your life." Beldon said.

"I don't think that. I know it. You ran an illegal experimentation on me." Tammie said.

"Your mother is the one who wanted a quick way to make money, and I paid her lovely for it." Beldon said.

"Enough talk. Don't you agree, Tammie?" Teo asked.

"You're right. Grab the wife. Time for both of them to die." Tammie said.

Teo grabbed Marissa, as the twins nudged the couple into the front hall.

"This will be fun." Tammie said, heating up her energy ball.

Suddenly, The Quickster bursts in.

"DO YOU EVER GET TIRED?!?" Tammie asked, angrily.

"Tammie, I know you feel like you have to blame Beldon, but you don't." Peter said.

"My mother is dead due to him." Tammie said.

"No. It's on you. The choices you made." Peter said.

"I didn't intentionally kill her." Tammie said.

"What happened, then?" Peter asked.

"I had just discovered my ability, a few months after Teo discovered his. I got into an argument with mother, so I pranked her. Put an energy ball into her coffee." Tammie said.

"Tammie..." Teo said.

"It didn't explode immediately. She DRANK it. And then, her insides exploded." Tammie said, letting out tears.

"Her body was in half. Blood was all over the kitchen." Teo added.

"All because of the experiments HE was running." Tammie said, pointing to Beldon.

"Your MOM is the one who allowed you to be used, Tammie." Peter said.

"DOESN'T EXCUSE BELDON." Tammie said, angrily.

Tammie quickly created an energy ball and threw it at the chandelier.

"No!" Peter said, as the chandelier was about to fall on Marissa.

Peter speeded Marissa out of the way, as the chandelier crashed to the ground.

This allowed Teo and Tammie to escape out of the house.

"Thank you!" Marissa said.

Peter quickly speeded out of the door, as Marissa and Beldon watched.

Teo had grabbed onto Tammie and created a supersonic thrust that pushed Peter back as he tried to speed towards them.

Peter tapped into his coms.

"Guys! They're in the air!" Peter said.

"What about that device Professor Seid gave you?" Irene asked.

"RIGHT!" Peter said.

Peter put the device behind the chest piece of his suit.

Activating it, Peter ran off so fast that he shattered every window of Beldon Dime's home.

"Aw shit." Beldon said, holding Marissa in his arms.

Peter speeded down the street, directly under Teo.

Avoiding cars and bikers, Peter kept up with Teo.

"WHAT DO I DO?" Peter asked.

"I wish Seid were here!" Tyrone said.

"Uhh, Uhhh... catch them mid-air." Irene suggested.

Peter scaled a very tall building. He then turned his body, launching himself into the air and collided with Teo and Tammie.

All three crashed through the glass window of a clothing store.

As they crashed in, many costumers ran out.

"PETER! Are you okay?" Tyrone asked.

It took a few seconds for Peter to collect his thoughts.

"I'm... I'm good." Peter said, trying to lift mannequin parts off of him

"What about Boom and Cannonball?" Irene asked.

"They're knocked out." Peter said.

The store workers helped The Quickster up.

"This might be inappropriate, but... can we get a selfie?" one of the workers asked.

Peter laughed through the pain, as the police showed up.

"Quickster. The legend is right in front of me." a woman said.

"And you are?" Peter asked.

"Commissioner Daley." she introduced herself.

The officers put inhibitor collars on Tammie and Teo.

"I caught them for you." Peter said.

"What you did was cause havoc throughout the city." Daley said.

"Maybe." Peter said.

"So what's gonna stop me from arresting you too?" Daley asked.

"Because you'll need me the next time. It's a brave new world out there, ma'am. Don't react with fear." Peter spoke.

"How do I know I can trust you?" Daley asked.

"Unlike most people... I am who I say I am." Peter said.

Peter speeded out of the store, as Daley looked on with doubt.

City Hall

On the front steps of City Hall, Kelp Labs was awarded for their work in creating a cure for Illustress's powers.

Peter, Irene, and Professor Seid stood on the steps, dressed in formal outfits.

"It is our honor to give congrats to these heroes for their scientific breakthrough." Commissioner Daley said, giving them each medals.

The crowd clapped and cheered.

"Have we met before?" Daley asked, while putting a medal on Peter.

"Nope, can't say that we have." Peter said, nervously.

"Ah. Okay." Daley said, stepping back to the Mic.

"We'll also be extending a ten thousand dollar grant to Kelp Labs to allow them to keep doing what they're doing!" Daley announced.

More applause followed.

"Peter, nice job the other day." Seid said.

"Thanks. Your device worked like a charm." Peter whispered.

"Not nooow, guys." Irene said, as Peter's family came toward them.

Sun, Ray, and Tyrone all congratulated Peter.

Sun pulled Peter aside from everyone.

"You looked great, honey." Sun said, hugging her son.

"Thanks." Peter said.

"I know that dealing with Kwang's death is not easy. It's only gonna get harder with time, and especially if we don't talk to each other." Sun said.

Peter nodded.

"I love you, so much. I'm sorry if I don't say it enough." Sun expressed.

"I love you, mom." Peter said, nearing tears.

Sun hugged him again.

The Quickster

Ep.4  

New Kelp City

Peter is seen in his Quickster costume, speeding through the city.

He sees a boy band performing for beautiful women.

He then sees an old woman struggling to manage her seven snails, whom she has on seven different leashes.

He also sees a car spontaneously catch on fire.

"MY BOATMOBILEEEEEEEEE!" a man shrieks.

Peter arrives inside Kelp Labs, knocking down papers that Irene was reading.

"PETER!" Irene screams.

"Sorry!" Peter said.

"It's okay. I was going over some research for our spring semester project for Seid's class. Ya know... the whole reason he gives us time here at Kelp Labs in the first place." Irene said.

"While also managing us in fighting bad guys." Peter said, humorously.

"Yeah, that too. Anyhow, would it kill you to do some work on our project? I feel like I'm all alone these days on that front." Irene said.

"I will do some work, loosen up." Peter said.

"Oh, Peter's here." Seid said, walking in.

"Professor, hey." Peter greeted.

"I guess your weren't up to working out in the Speed Lab this morning, huh?" Seid asked.

"I just love the feel of the wind as I race through the streets outside. Nothing quite like it." Peter said.

Seid's phone beeped.

"Oh, hold my coffee, would you?" Seid asked.

Peter took his cup of coffee, as Seid pulled his phone from his back pocket.

"A text?" Peter asked.

"From a friend of mines. He reminded me of something." Seid said.

"What is it?" Peter asked.

"Tonight is the opening of the Paradye Technology Museum." Seid announced.

"Oh, yeah... my mom hasn't shut up about that. We're supposed to be going together." Peter said.

"I heard they're presenting something huge." Irene said.

"Indeed, Irene. And thanks to a few secret contacts, I found out what that is." Seid told them.

"Care to share?" Peter asked.

"The Quantum Generator. A truly revolutionary device that could change the face of physics as we know it." Seid announced.

"Like how?" Irene asked.

"Unlimited energy, high speed technological systems, and even advancements in AI." Seid told them.

"That sounds wicked!" Peter said.

Peter's phone began to ring.

"It's my mother. She wants me to come home real quick." Peter said.

"Was that a pun?" Irene asked.

"No! Quick ya later." Peter said, racing out with his speed.

"You definitely heard puns, right?" Irene asked Seid.

"I definitely heard puns." Seid said, nodding his head.

Peter arrived inside his house, dressed in his normal clothes.

"Peter, that was quick!" Sun said, hugging him.

"You have no idea." Peter said, smiling.

Peter saw that Tyrone and Ray were there also.

"Why don't you have a seat next to Tyrone on the couch." Sun said, excitedly.

"You know what this is about?" Peter asked Tyrone.

"Not a clue." Tyrone said.

Sun and Ray stood next to each other, with Ray's arm around Sun.

"We have very exciting news!" Sun said.

"I asked Sun to marry me." Ray said.

Sun held up her hand, showing the engagement ring.

Peter looked distraught.

"WOW! I'm so happy for you two!" Tyrone said, jumping up to hug them.

The three cheered like little school girls, jumping up and down.

"Peter, how do you feel? I really want you to be apart of this." Sun said.

Peter changed his facial expressions.

"I'm soooo happy for ya." Peter said, faking a grin.

"Thank you, baby!" Sun said, hugging him.

"Soon enough, you and Tyrone will be brothers! Ain't that cool?" Ray said, hitting Peter playfully in the arm.

Peter looked a little sick.

"Oh, honey... maybe you shouldn't of said that." Sun said.

"Oh, Peter, I'm so sorry. I'm not trying to replace your father and my son could never replace Kwang. I just want you to feel comfortable with all of this." Ray apologized.

"I'm sure he does, dad." Tyrone said.

"We should have dinner! All four of us!" Sun said.

"Well, not tonight. You have that thing to go to, right?" Ray asked.

"Ohhh, yeah. Why don't you and Tyrone come. Beldon won't mind me bringing a couple of guests of my own. I'm his top employee." Sun said.

"Great! You down, Tyrone?" Ray asked.

"Yeah, I'm down. I need a suit, though." Tyrone said.

"Uh, Peter knows a nice store. Don't you, Peter?" Sun asked.

"Yes." Peter said.

"Great!" Tyrone said, smiling at Peter.

Shelly's

Peter and Tyrone were seen having brunch at the diner.

"Do you want a piece of this BLT? I'm telling you, it's so good!" Tyrone said.

Peter shook his head.

"You're quiet, today." Tyrone said.

Irene walked into the diner.

"Irene, hey." Tyrone greeted.

"Hey, guys. What's good in the hood?" Irene asked, coming toward their table.

"SunRay is getting married! Isn't that awesome?" Tyrone asked, smiling.

"You guys' parents? AWW, SO CUTE! And nice ship name!" Irene gushed.

"I know right! They're so perfect for each other. I'm gonna go get you a coffee. You can join us in finishing this brunch platter. Peter doesn't seem to have an appetite today." Tyrone said, bouncing over to the counter.

Irene pulled up a seat.

"Your whole aura is different from when I saw you this morning." Irene noticed of Peter.

"Yeah, well I'm not as excited as Tyrone is about our parents marrying each other." Peter said.

"Why not?" Irene asked.

"Irene, you know that I like him." Peter whispered.

"Ohhh, right." Irene remarked.

"Now we're going to be... step brothers." Peter said, looking sickly.

"It's not that weird." Irene said, trying to comfort him.

"Yes it is!" Peter said.

"Fine. If you're so worried about crushing on your future step brother, then just don't." Irene told him.

"Don't? Are you telling me to get over it?" Peter asked.

"It might not be easy, but you're the Quickster. If you can't get over a crush quick enough, than who can?" Irene asked.

Peter nodded in agreement.

Tyrone returned back to the table, and handed Irene her coffee.

"Thank you." Irene said.

"Yup. I'm feeling good today. I'm so glad my dad's found a new woman to spend the rest of his life with." Tyrone said.

"Excuse me? Did I hear that correctly?" a woman asked.

"Who are you?" Tyrone asked.

"I'm Lily Orca. Is your father getting married?" Lily asked.

"What's it to you?" Peter asked.

"I was a divorcee kid when I was very young. My father was unhappy for years after my mother died. So much that he committed suicide on my fourteenth birthday. Spent the next four years in foster care, where I had hoped for a pair of loving parents to take me in as their own. That never happened." Lily revealed.

"I'm so sorry." Tyrone said, nearing tears.

"That sounds awful." Irene said.

"But, I'm happy to hear that you and your dad may be one of the very few success stories out there. Broken homes aren't easy to put back together." Lily said.

Peter went into deep thought.

"Hey, I know what you mean. I was in foster care too until last year when I turned 18. Now I'm at Shale University." Irene said, proudly.

"Very cool." Lily said, getting emotional.

Lily took off.

"I feel so terrible for her." Irene said.

"Yeah. I hope nothing messes up things between my dad and Sun." Tyrone said.

Peter felt guilty.

Kelp Labs

Irene was seen working on a paper at Kelp Labs.

"Irene, hey." Seid said, walking toward her.

"Hey, where were you?" Irene asked.

"Working on modifications to the Speed Room." Seid said.

"Oh." Irene replied.

"I'm surprised you're here doing homework. Shouldn't a kid like yourself be doing something fun and exciting on a nice Saturday such as this one?" Seid asked.

"You know I'm all about work, Professor. Besides, work helps me take my mind off things." Irene said.

"Things like what?" Seid asked, sitting next to her.

"This woman at Shelly's, earlier. She told me, Peter, and Tyrone about her struggles as a divorcee kid and foster care survivor." Irene told him.

"It reminded you of your own struggles, didn't it?" Seid asked.

"Yeah." Irene said, releasing her tears.

"Hey! Look at me." Seid said, pulling Irene's chin up.

Irene looked him in the eyes.

"You do not need to think about the past, because you have such a bright future ahead of you. Your intellect, your emotional strength, and your kind heart... it's all apart of what makes you an amazing young woman. And also, a survivor." Seid told her.

Irene nodded.

Seid hugged her.

"I wish you could of adopted me." Irene said, with a slight laugh.

"If I'd known about your situation a year ago, I would of. Now you're a grown woman, and I think you're gonna make the best of your life on your own terms." Seid said.

Irene nodded, hugging him again.

Suddenly, the two heard the Kelp Labs doorbell system.

"Someone's here." Irene said.

"Someone who's not Peter or Tyrone." Seid said, leaving downstairs.

After a few moments, Seid arrived back upstairs with a woman.

"Seid, who was it?" Irene asked.

"Uhh, Irene... I think this may be for you." Seid said.

A woman came in after Seid.

"This woman says that she's your birth mother." Seid revealed.

Irene looked shocked.

"My name is Evelyn Hart." Evelyn said.

"That's... that was my birth mother's name." Irene said, nearly crying.

"I'll leave you two alone." Seid said, exiting.

"I'm your mother." Evelyn said, shedding tears.

"Why? Why did it take you SO long to come and find me?" Irene asked.

"I had to get myself together, sweetheart." Evelyn said.

"Because you were a junkie. I still have the cig burns on my left elbow. The ones YOU PUT THERE when I was a baby!" Irene shouted.

"I was so messed up back then! But, that's why I gave you up! So I wouldn't hurt you anymore." Evelyn said, touching her face.

"I cried myself to sleep so many nights, thinking I'd never see you again." Irene said.

"Now I'm here. I want to rebuild. Please?" Evelyn asked.

Irene hugged Evelyn.

"We can take this slow. How about dinner tomorrow night?" Evelyn asked.

"I'd be okay with that." Irene said, feeling happy.

Peter and Tyrone were upstairs in Peter's room, as they looked at their suits in the mirror.

"I need a standing mirror in my room." Tyrone laughed.

"Damn, I can't quite get my tie right. You'd think I'd be used to it by now, with all the events my mother's taken me to as a kid." Peter said.

"Let me help." Tyrone said.

Tyrone pulled Peter closer, and worked on his tie.

Peter found himself lost in Tyrone's eyes.

For a slight moment, Tyrone stared back.

"Uh, you're all good to go now!" Tyrone said, breaking eye contact.

"Thanks." Peter said.

"Yeah. We should get downstairs. SunRay is waiting." Tyrone said.

"You're gonna kill me with that ship name, aren't you?" Peter asked, laughing.

"Yerp." Tyrone said, laughing himself.

"What is 'yerp'?" Peter asked, as they exited his room.

Paradye Technology Musuem

Many people were seen at the opening of the Paradye Museum, dressed in fancy clothing.

Sun entered with Ray by her side, and Peter and Tyrone behind them.

"A picture of the happy family?" a camera man asked.

"Aww, our first family picture!" Sun said, pulling them all together.

The camera man snapped the picture. 

"Peter, are you okay?" Tyrone asked, noticing his face.

"A little... under the weather." Peter said.

"Why did you bring a bookbag?" Tyrone asked.

"It's trendy now. All the guys did it last year at my prom." Peter said.

"Nice, but what's the real reason?" Tyrone asked.

"The Quickster suit is in here." Peter whispered.

"Why did you bring it?" Tyrone asked in a whisper.

"Paradye is about to present a revolutionary device, and we both know their track record with metas." Peter said.

"Ohhh, so if one attacks, you'll be ready." Tyrone said.

"Egg-xactly." Peter said.

"Did you just say... egg?" Tyrone asked.

"No." Peter lied, walking off.

"Hey! Come back here! Irene told me you've been very pun-ny lately!" Tyrone said, walking after him.

Sun and Ray both take a glass of wine, as Sun notices Vivian Coyne (from Miss Appear).

Sun walks over to Vivian.

"SHUT UP! If it isn't, Vivian Coyne." Sun said.

"Sun Chang, I believe? You're reportedly one of Paradye's finest." Vivian said.

"I'm surprised Beldon gave you an invite. You're not relevant anymore." Sun said, snarkily.

"I guess you haven't heard my new name, Black Vivian." Vivian remarked.

"Actually, I have. I'm surprised the security guards didn't frisk you at the door." Sun said.

"When I heard about Paradye's museum opening, and the surprise you guys were going to unveil, I knew I had to make my way to the city to see it. I've always respected Paradye. I just wish you could have the same respect for me." Vivian said.

"Respect a serial killer?" Sun asked.

"Alleged." Vivian smiled, walking off.

"That looked intense." Ray said, coming over to Sun.

"That woman and her whole family is intense." Sun said.

"Well, come on, Beldon's about to speak." Ray said.

Beldon Dime stood on a platform next to a glass casing with a red sheet covering it.

"Fine citizens, fellow co-workers, and esteemed public service members. I am proud to present to you something that will change the face of history." Beldon started.

Many pictures were taken.

"Please save the flash photography for after." Beldon said.

His plead ignited laughter from everyone.

"He is sooo fake." Peter whispered to Tyrone.

"I know." Tyrone whispered back.

"I'd like to present to you, The Quantum Generator." Beldon said, taking the red sheet off the glass casing.

The entire crowd applauded, as more photos were taken.

"This device will be able to provide unlimited energy, breakthroughs in science, and a direct enhancement for the AI field." Beldon continued.

Suddenly, everyone heard a whoosh.

A speedster in similar blue and white clothing crashed through the museum, quickly snatching the Quantum Generator from the glass casing.

Everyone ran as security guards tried shooting at the speedster.

Sun saw as Peter ran in a different direction.

"PETER!" Sun called out.

"Sun, come on!" Ray said, pulling her and Tyrone along.

Peter, now in his Quickster suit, chased after the other speedster onto the streets.

At Kelp Labs, Irene and Seid were talking.

"I'm glad you're repairing things with your mother." Seid said, eating cake.

"Me too. So coincidental how life works, right?" Irene asked, also eating cake.

"Agreed. Life is unexpected." Seid said.

Suddenly, the Kelp Labs computer system got an alert.

Seid dropped his cake.

"It's PETER! He turned his coms on." Seid said.

"I wonder what's wrong." Irene said.

"PETER, COME IN!" Seid spoke through the microphone.

"SEID! A SPEEDSTER STOLE THE GENERATOR." Peter announced.

"Aw no. Peter, you've GOT to get it back." Seid told him.

"She's faster than me!" Peter said, still running.

"It's a female?" Irene asked.

"I'm eighty percent sure, by what I saw of her physique. Also, the long, braided blond hair." Peter said.

"Peter, the Kelp Labs computer system is tracking another energy signature on third. Take a short cut and cut this girl off." Seid advised him.

"GOTCHA!" Peter said.

Peter took a short cut, running as fast as he could.

Peter then cut the woman off, coming out of an alley.

Both of their bodies fumbled in the streets, as they avoided being hit by cars.

"GIVE ME THE GENERATOR!" Peter shouted.

"STAY OUT OF MY WAY!" the woman replied.

The woman speeded off again, as Peter caught up to her and snatched the generator.

"NO!" she shouted.

The woman pulled out a knife, running after Peter.

Peter dodged the woman's attempts to cut his sides, but she finally got him.

Peter stumbles mid-run, and falls to the ground.

The woman stands before him, but she is hit by a car.

"AHHH!" the woman screams, being flung across the street.

"Quickster, get up!" a man said, rolling down his window.

Peter felt blood pouring down his side.

Using the last bit of his will, he raced all the way to Kelp Labs.

Kelp Labs

"PETER!" Seid and Irene both yelled, as Peter stumbled in with the generator.

Seid took the small device from him, as Irene helped him into the infirmary room.

Peter lied on the table, as Irene tended to his stab wound.

"This woman managed to penetrate a major organ." Irene said, examining him.

"Fast healing, right?" Peter asked, struggling to breathe.

"Even you aren't Mermaid Man." Irene said, tending to the wound.

Irene quickly stuffed antibiotics down his throat, as his vitals spike.

Irene quickly calls Tyrone.

"Tyrone!" Irene said.

"What's wrong? Is Peter there?" Tyrone asked.

"He's in bad shape. His vitals are spiking. You should get here now." Irene said.

Irene hangs up, continuing to tend to Peter.

Seid rushes in, nervously.

Chang Household

"Where did Tyrone rush off to?" Sun asked.

"I don't know. Think it's something to do with Peter?" Ray asked.

"Peter's not answering his phone. I have no idea where he disappeared to." Sun said.

"Tyrone will bring him home, I know it." Ray said.

"Those two seem quite close." Sun said.

"They're brothers." Ray said, nodding.

Kelp Labs

At Kelp Labs, Tyrone arrived in the infirmary.

"PETER! PETER!" Tyrone shouted.

"He's doing better now." Irene said, showing his vitals.

Peter appeared dazed and weak.

"Let's give them a moment, Professor." Irene said, pulling Seid out.

"You think Tyrone is the best medicine for him, don't you?" Seid asked.

"Yes." Irene confirmed.

"What's going on between those two, anyway?" Seid asked.

"Remains to be seen." Irene said.

In the infirmary, Tyrone rubbed Peter's head.

"I uh... I was so worried when Irene called me. I thought you would die and that I wouldn't get here in time." Tyrone said, crying.

"I'm all good now." Peter said, slightly doped up.

Tyrone giggled.

"Seriously, you have no idea how much I care about you, dude." Tyrone said.

Peter sat up.

"Hey, hey, you shouldn't do that." Tyrone said.

"No, no, I have to say this sitting up... cause otherwise I wouldn't have the courage." Peter said, tolerating the pain.

"Say what?" Tyrone asked, rubbing his arm.

"I love you." Peter said.

Tyrone nearly shook.

"I love you too, bro." Tyrone said.

"No, Tyrone... I love you." Peter said, kissing Tyrone. 

As they parted lips, Tyrone was surprised.

"You're doped up on meds.." Tyrone said, backing up.

Peter pulled him closer.

"No, I've loved you since we first met. That connection between us is something that happens once in a lifetime. The way I feel about you goes beyond words. I have been so scared to say all of this, because I thought you wouldn't feel the same way." Peter admitted.

"... I feel the same way, Petey." Tyrone said, kissing him back.

Peter smiled.

Shelly's

The next day, Peter met Tyrone at Shelly's.

"I got you a strawberry shake. Your favorite." Tyrone said.

Peter sat down.

"Thanks." Peter said, blushing.

"So, umm... the other night." Tyrone started.

"Yeah?" Peter asked.

"We kissed." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, that happened." Peter said, smiling.

"Did it happen because of the meds? Or do you really feel this way?" Tyrone asked.

"I really do." Peter said, grasping his hand.

"Good. Though, there's a problem." Tyrone said.

"I know. Our parents." Peter said.

"How the hell do we tell them?" Tyrone asked.

Suddenly, Sun walked into Shelly's

Peter and Tyrone quickly let their hands go.

"Peter! I was so worried." Sun said, hugging her son.

"I'm fine, mom. Didn't Tyrone tell you I stayed the night at Kelp Labs?" Peter asked.

"Yes, but I couldn't fathom why." Sun said.

"Seeing that meta attack... it triggered me. I thought about what Muscle Ma'am did to Kwang." Peter lied.

"I'm so sorry. Wait, are you bruised?" Sun asked, touching his side.

"No!" Peter lied.

"Don't lie! You're tender there." Sun said, touching it.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, don't touch it!" Peter said, squeamish.

"What happened?" Sun asked.

"A biker ran me down this morning, that's all." Peter said.

"Alright, hope so." Sun said.

Sun looked at Tyrone.

"I bet you two can't wait to make it official!" Sun said.

"MAKE WHAT OFFICIAL?" Peter and Tyrone asked, with their hearts beating.

"Uhhh... becoming brothers. Duhhhh." Sun said.

"Oh, right... yeah." Peter said.

Tyrone nodded, awkwardly.

"You two are so cute! You act just like siblings!" Sun said, laughing.

Peter and Tyrone laughed along awkwardly.

Kelp Labs

Later that night, Seid approached Irene, who was using the computer system.

"More research?" Seid asked

"Getting in some last bit of research before my dinner with Evelyn in an hour." Irene said.

"I'm so happy for you. Finally re-connecting with your mother." Seid said.

"I know right! Nothing could mess this up." Irene said, happily.

"I examined this generator. It's pretty advanced stuff." Seid said.

"I guess we're not gonna turn it over?" Irene asked.

"And let Beldon Dime get his hands on it again?" Seid asked.

"You're right. It's safer with us. Who knows what Beldon would do with all that power." Irene said.

Seid nodded.

"I do wonder what Lady Quick wanted with it?" Irene asked.

"Lady Quick?" Seid asked.

"Oh, Tyrone came up with the name last night. It's cute... effective." Irene said.

"What are we gonna do with that one? Anyway, I'm gonna put this up in my Hidden Room." Seid said.

"Good." Irene said, turning back to the computer.

Seid walked to the third floor, coming toward the Hidden Room.

Putting in the passcode, he entered.

Seid pulled out his cell phone, calling a private number.

"Beldon, I have the generator safe with me. Our plans will continue uninterrupted." Seid said, revealing himself to be in league with Paradye.

"Nice work, Seid." Beldon said, in his dark office.

Seid hung up.

Back upstairs, Irene was about to turn off the computer system, when she noticed a silent alarm was tripped.

"What?" Irene said, viewing camera footage of Kelp Labs.

Irene noticed a blur, or flash on the camera system.

"Peter?" Irene asked.

"GUESS AGAIN." Lady Quick said, from behind.

Irene jumped up.

"Oh my." Irene said, scared.

"It took me some time to figure it out, but luckily I'm smart. I know The Quickster comes here." Lady Quick said, coming toward Irene.

Irene backed up.

"No, that's insane! Kelp Labs is the very place he'd avoid!" Irene lied, nervously.

"DON'T lie! It was supposed to be SO SIMPLE. I come back here, take the generator, return home, and everything is fixed!" Lady Quick said, throwing her hands up.

"You're obviously in league with some bad stuff. But DON'T take that out on others!" Irene said.

"You have one more time to lie. Where is the generator?" Lady Quick asked again.

"I'll NEVER tell you! I'll NEVER give you what you want!" Irene stated, boldly.

Irene was back to the wall, as Lady Quick stepped closer to her.

"Fine. Then I'll tear apart every inch of this building until I find it!" Lady Quick said.

"The Quickster will stop you!" Irene said.

"From finding the generator? Maybe. From killing you? Unfortunately, not." Lady Quick said.

Lady Quick phased her hand through Irene's body.

Irene coughed up blood, dropping to the ground.

"You weren't supposed to die. But, history's always changing." Lady Quick said, speeding off.

Irene reached for her phone in her pocket.

She quickly dialed Peter, putting the phone on speaker.

"Irene? What's up?" Peter asked, being seen in his bedroom.

"La-dy... Qu-ick." Irene said.

Irene finally passed away.

"IRENE! WHAT'S GOING ON?" Peter asked, over the phone.

Peter fast-ly changed into the Quickster suit and speeded over to Kelp Labs.

"IRENE, NO!" Peter said, speeding in.

Peter kneeled down by her body, feeling her pulse.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Peter screamed, shedding tears.

Peter speeded off to the Hidden Room on the third floor. Entering the passcode, he saw Seid inside.

"Seid!" Peter said, hugging him.

"Peter, I heard ruckus. She's HERE isn't she?" Seid asked.

"She killed Irene. Irene's DEAD!" Peter said, crying more.

"PETER, we mourn later. Right now you have to take this generator and RUN. Hide it somewhere Lady Quick will never find it." Seid told him.

"She'll catch me! She's faster!" Peter said.

"Not with this." Seid said, handing Peter the accelerator device.

"The accelerator..." Peter said.

Peter put the accelerator on his suit, activated it, and speeded off.

Lady Quick spotted him and speeded after.

Both Peter and Lady Quick speeded out of Kelp Labs.

"GET BACK HEREEEE!" Lady Quick called out.

Peter thought about Irene's death and pushed himself further, ripping through the city at insane speeds.

Peter literally felt himself tearing apart.

A spark of light appeared around Peter as he accidentally slipped into a portal.

As Peter comes out of the portal, he notices that it is suddenly daytime.

While running still, he sees a boy band performing for beautiful women.

He then sees an old woman struggling to manage her seven snails, whom she has on seven different leashes.

He also sees a car spontaneously catch on fire.

New Kelp City

As Peter comes out of the portal, he notices that it is suddenly daytime.

While running still, he sees a boy band performing for beautiful women.

He then sees an old woman struggling to manage her seven snails, whom she has on seven different leashes.

He also sees a car spontaneously catch on fire.

"MY BOATMOBILEEEEEEEEE!" a man shrieks.

Peter stopped running.

"Oh... my... GOD." Peter said

He realized that he was repeating the day before.

"I gotta get to Kelp Labs..." Peter said.

Peter speeded over to Kelp Labs.

Kelp Labs

Peter arrives inside Kelp Labs, knocking down papers that Irene was reading.

"PETER!" Irene screams.

"Sorry!" Peter said.

"It's okay. I was going - " Irene started

" - over some research for our spring semester project for Seid's class." Peter remembered, interrupting her.

"...Uh, I'm glad you remember?" Irene said, confused.

"And I'm sorry about not contributing much to the project, I PROMISE I will, going forward." Peter said.

"How did you know I felt that way?" Irene asked.

"I... I... I.." Peter was lost for words.

"Oh, Peter's here." Seid said, walking in.

"Professor, hey." Peter greeted.

"I guess your weren't up to working out in the Speed Lab this morning, huh?" Seid asked.

"Uh... I guess not." Peter said.

Seid looked at him oddly.

"Are you okay, Pete?" Seid asked, noticing his body language.

"Professor, if I'm right, you're about to get a call in two seconds." Peter said.

Seid's phone beeped.

Irene looked curious.

"I guess you were right, Mr. Chang." Seid said, passing his coffee to Peter.

"A text from an old friend, reminding you of something." Peter predicted.

"Yes. Paradye's- "

"-Technology Museum opening, where Beldon will unveil the Quantum Generator. A truly revolutionary device that could change the face of physics as we know it, including unlimited energy, high speed technological systems, and even advancements in AI." Peter told them.

"Yes... I was going to say all that. How the hell did you know?" Seid asked.

"Peter, did you suddenly develop telepathy too?" Irene asked laughing.

"I think I traveled through time." Peter revealed.

"Whoa... WHAT?" Irene asked.

"Peter, what exactly do you mean?" Seid asked.

"I mean that I'm experiencing yesterday TODAY. Well, MY yesterday, not you guys' yesterday." Peter tried explaining.

"Peter, this is not making sense!" Irene said.

"Irene, did your mother stop by yet?" Peter asked.

"PETER." Seid yelled.

"My mother? My birth mother?" Irene asked.

"She's coming to see you today, Irene." Peter said.

"Peter, ENOUGH! It is dangerous for anyone to know too much about their own future." Seid yelled.

"I'm sorry, I'm just trying to figure this out!" Peter said.

"We can do that, but you CANNOT speak on future events." Seid said.

Peter received a call.

"Who was that?" Seid asked, as Peter hung up.

"It was my mother. She wants me over, and I already know why." Peter said.

"Okay, listen to me, Peter... you must go on about this day as if you are living it for the first time." Seid told him.

"How is this even possible?" Peter asked.

"Theoretically, if you one could generate enough speed,... faster than the speed of light... time travel is possible." Seid said.

"Well, Pete generates plenty speed." Irene said, in deep thought.

"What about tonight? A female speedster is going to try stealing the Quantum Generator." Peter announced.

"Damnit, Peter! I told you to stop!" Seid yelled.

"I can't! Some really bad stuff ends up happening BECAUSE of that event." Peter told them.

"You have to let it happen, Peter. Exactly the way it did yesterday. Tell me... do you end up stopping this woman?" Seid asked.

"I do get the generator, but- "

"-BUT nothing! That's all that matters. Everything has to play out like it did from the timeline you left. That's the only way to fix this." Seid told him.

"But, if I take the generator from the museum ahead of time, then I prevent the bad stuff." Peter argued.

"Peter, NO." Seid said, getting more frustrated.

"Fine. I'm sorry. I'll let things play out the way they did yesterday." Peter said."

"Thank you. Now get to your house." Seid said.

"Right." Peter said, racing off.

Chang Household

Peter arrived home.

"Peter, that was quick!" Sun said, hugging him.

"Yeah, I'm betting you have some kind of announcement." Peter said, smiling.

Peter saw that Tyrone and Ray were there also.

"I do, as a matter of fact! Why don't you have a seat next to Tyrone on the couch." Sun said, excitedly.

"You know what this is about?" Tyrone asked Peter, this time.

"Not a clue." Peter said, repeating what Tyrone said in the original timeline.

Sun and Ray stood next to each other, with Ray's arm around Sun.

"Alright, it's time to tell you guys!" Sun said.

"I asked Sun to marry me." Ray said.

Sun held up her hand, showing the engagement ring.

Peter looked distraught (again).

"WOW! I'm so happy for you two!" Tyrone said, jumping up to hug them.

The three cheered like little school girls, jumping up and down.

"Peter, how do you feel? I really want you to be apart of this." Sun said.

"This is great, this is great. I want you to be happy." Peter said.

"Thank you, baby!" Sun said, hugging him.

"Soon enough, you and Tyrone will be brothers! Ain't that cool?" Ray said, hitting Peter playfully in the arm.

"Very." Peter said, putting on a brave face.

"We should have dinner! All four of us!" Sun said.

"Well, not tonight. You have that thing to go to, right?" Ray asked.

"Ohhh, yeah. Why don't you and Tyrone come. Beldon won't mind me bringing a couple of guests of my own. I'm his top employee." Sun said.

"Great! You down, Tyrone?" Ray asked.

"Yeah, I'm down. I need a suit, though." Tyrone said.

"Uh, Peter knows a nice store. Don't you, Peter?" Sun asked.

"Yes." Peter said.

"Great!" Tyrone said, smiling at Peter.

"Uhh, before that, I need to go somewhere real quick." Peter told Tyrone.

Kelp Labs

"Irene... hey." Seid said, coming over to Irene.

"I'm really trying to focus on this paper for English." Irene said, putting her hand over her head.

"You're upset. I can tell." Seid said.

"My absentee biological mother is supposed to be showing up, eighteen years too late. The woman I cried myself to sleep over for SEVENTEEN years, hoping she'd come rescue me from abusive foster homes. No, not upset at all." Irene said, wiping tears.

"Peter shouldn't have told you." Seid said. 

"I'm glad he did, because now I can prepare to tell her to her face to get the hell out of my life. The life I built, without any help from her." Irene said.

"Irene, please don't tell your mother to go to hell." Seid said.

"You're right. I'll refuse to see her in the first place." Irene said.

The Kelp Labs doorbell system went off.

"That must be her now." Seid said. 

"Seid, can you tell her to go?" Irene asked.

"Irene, you may regret-" Seid started.

"-No, I won't." Irene interrupted.

"...Fine. I'll handle it for you." Seid said, leaving.

Seid took the elevator downstairs to the ground level of Kelp Labs.

He sees a woman standing outside the doors.

Opening the door, the woman walks in.

"Hello, my name is Evelyn Hart. I was informed that my daughter spends her time volunteering here?" Evelyn asked.

"Your daughter?" Seid asked.

"Irene Hart. I'm her biological mother." Evelyn told him.

"Right. Look... I don't think she would want to see you." Seid said.

"I came all this way..." Evelyn said.

"AND I WAITED ALL THESE YEARS." Irene's voice was heard.

Irene had come down on the elevator.

"Irene... you still have the same nose as when you were a baby." Evelyn said, staring at her intensely.

"I need you to LEAVE." Irene shouted.

"Please, I only want to repair - " Evelyn started.

"GO! I want NOTHING to do with you! You drugged-out, good for nothing, load of failure." Irene yelled.

Evelyn began to cry.

"I'm so sorry that I've hurt you." Evelyn said.

Evelyn ran out.

"That felt good." Irene said.

"Are you sure about that?" Seid asked, looking at her.

Irene held in her tears.

Shelly's

Peter arrived at Shelly's Diner.

"Peter, I ordered us the breakfast platter. Where'd you race off to anyway?" Tyrone asked.

"I was... setting something right." Peter said.

Tyrone stood up.

"Are you okay? You're sort of giving me a strange look." Tyrone said, walking towards Peter.

"I'm fine. It's just... I need to set something else right too." Peter said, looking into Tyrone's eyes.

"And what would that be?" Tyrone asked.

"This." Peter said, kissing Tyrone.

Tyrone pushed him backward.

"What the HELL are you doing?" Tyrone asked, freaked out.

"I-I... thought you liked me?" Peter asked.

"Peter, I'm not gay." Tyrone said.

"Well, I have news for you." Peter said, laughing.

"This isn't funny! You don't just go kissing people. What the hell has come over you?" Tyrone asked.

"People are starting to look, can we just talk about this somewhere else?" Peter whispered.

"No. I don't want to talk about anything with you right now." Tyrone said, rushing out.

Peter face-palmed.

"I'm SUCH an IDIOT!" Peter said.

Suddenly, Peter got an alert on his phone.

"Seid..." Peter said, seeing that the alert was from Kelp Labs.

Kelp Labs

"What's the dealio?" Peter asked, rushing in with his speed, and wearing his costume.

"Of all the future events you could of mentioned, why'd you leave this out?" Seid asked, showing news articles on the screen.

"Wait, what?" Peter asked. 

"Peter, there's been a female meta kidnapping young children from parks all across the city today. Dozens of amber alerts have gone off." Irene said.

"How is she doing this?" Peter asked.

"This article says that she seems to be transporting these kids away." Irene said.

"As in... teleportation?" Peter asked.

"Quite an interesting power, isn't it?" Seid asked.

"Not when she's kidnapping children! This didn't happen in the timeline I came from!" Peter told them.

"Wait, what?" Irene asked.

"That's not the only thing different. In the timeline I came from, me and Tyrone kissed." Peter announced.

"I knew there was something between you two." Seid said.

"So what was the difference today?" Irene asked.

"I kissed him, and he totally rebuffed me. He said he's 'not gay'." Peter told them.

"The conditions surrounding both kisses must of been different. Peter, please tell me that you have let this day play out exactly how it was supposed to?" Seid asked.

"Uh... yeah." Peter lied.

Suddenly, Tyrone arrived inside the room.

"Tyrone, hey." Peter said, awkwardly.

"Hey, Petey..." Tyrone said, also awkwardly.

"Tyrone, is everything okay?" Irene asked.

"I know I'm not the only one getting these excessive amber alerts. Something's up, isn't it?" Tyrone asked.

"A woman is using her teleportation powers to kidnap young children." Peter told him.  "How do we stop her?" Peter asked.

"I've mapped out her movements, and it looks like the next place she'll hit is the Clamstone Park by third street." Irene said.

"Then that's where I'm going." Peter said.

Peter raced off with his speed.

"Has Peter been weird today, for you guys?" Tyrone asked.

Seid and Irene looked at each other.

"Uh, no." Seid said.

"Not at all." Irene said.

"Hmm." Tyrone said, feeling that something was off.

Clamstone Park, New Kelp City

Peter arrived at Clamstone, seeing parents running out of the park with their children.

"These people must of heard of the kidnappings already." Peter said.

Suddenly, Peter hears a little girl crying.

Peter speeds over to a large tree.

"Hi, sweetie. Where are your parents?" Peter asked.

"The bad lady took her away!" the young girl cried.

"What's your name?" Peter asked.

"Macie." the young girl said.

"Do you know mine?" Peter asked.

"The Quickster!" Macie said.

"That's right. That means I'm gonna get you out of here!" Peter said, smiling.

Suddenly, a woman teleported behind Peter.

"If it isn't The Quickster!" the woman said.

"Wait... I know you." Peter said.

"We've never met." the woman said.

Peter turned on his coms.

"We have met. Your name is Lily Orca, and you told me and my friends that you were a survivor of the foster care system. Your mom died, and you dad committed suicide on your fourteenth birthday." Peter said.

Lily looked shocked.

Irene, Seid, and Tyrone listened in on coms.

"So, Peter knew her in the original timeline." Irene said.

"Original WHAT?" Tyrone asked.

"Tyrone, there are things we didn't tell you, but it was only to protect the fabric of the space time continuum." Seid said.

"How did you know all that?" Lily asked Peter.

"Because you told me, Lily. Trust me." Peter said.

Lily teleported away.

"Lily!" Peter yelled.

She teleported in back of him, with a shovel in hand.

Peter quickly turned around, as Lily hit him over the head with the shovel.

"Can't have you ruining my plans, Quickster." Lily said, looking at Macie.

Macie appeared scared.

"Peter! Come in! Come in!" Seid yelled.

"Seid, I think she's captured him." Irene said, looking frantic.

Kelp Labs

An hour later.

"We have to find him!" Tyrone said.

"I know. That's why I've reached out to a contact who works for the Federal Investigative Nexus." Seid revealed.

"F.I.N? Who do you know from that agency?" Irene asked.

"A kid named Felix. He was my student five years ago, and graduated at the top of his class from Shale University. He considers me a mentor, and we've kept in touch all these years." Seid told them.

"So, how can he help us?" Irene asked.

"He's sending over a computer program called The Quantum Locator. With the program, we'll be able to see where quantum energy is being unnaturally opened in New Kelp City." Seid revealed.

"Right! Lily's powers function through entanglement with quantum energy. Every time she teleports, she's leaving behind a unique quantum signature!" Irene put together.

"Exactly, Ms. Hart!" Seid said.

"You guys still have some explaining to do about this other timeline." Tyrone said.

"Basically, something happened that caused Peter to accidently time travel to a day he'd already lived." Irene said.

"Today?" Tyrone asked.

"Today for us, but yesterday from Peter's perspective. Now, some things are different. Some people... are different." Irene said.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Tyrone asked.

Irene shook her head.

"You know something, don't you?" Tyrone asked.

"No. I swear." Irene said.

The computer system got an alert.

"Felix sent it over." Seid said, looking at the program.

"I could help install it." Tyrone said.

"Great. Once you do, we'll able to find Peter." Seid said.

Unknown Location

Peter awoken, trapped in some kind of cell built into a wall.

Looking out of the cell's glass pane, Peter saw Lily Orca.

"Lily." Peter said, rubbing his head.

"I was waiting for you to wake up. Unfortunately, you ruined my fun." Lily said.

"Where am I?" Peter asked.

"This is a cabin outside of the city. I often come here to think. Ya know, find peace." Lily said, drinking a cup of tea.

"Lily, when I met you in the other timeline, you weren't like this!" Peter said.

"I have no idea what you mean. What I do know is that you must be like me. You've been getting other metas arrested. Metas that hail from the Paradye study in 1998." Lily said.

"So, you're aware that you were experiment on by Paradye?" Peter asked.

"After my father died and I was put in foster care, I tried to escape. I found myself falling in with this gang that exploited children. Often delievered them to trafficking rings. I was lucky to get sent to Paradye. They made me feel comfortable with what they were going to do to me." Lily revealed.

"How could you say that?" Peter asked.

"They promised me superpowers. What fourteen year old kid wouldn't want that? I was the oldest child experimented on. My powers were intended to be teleportation." Lily said.

"So, they developed different formulas for different powers?" Peter asked.

"Yes. But, it ended up being a failure. I didn't get powers, but the experiments left me infertile. I could never in my life birth children." Lily said, crying.

"So why not seek revenge on Paradye? Expose them for what they did." Peter questioned.

"They pay me ten thousand dollars every year for closed lips. I won't be rocking that boat." Lily said.

"Instead, you'll just kidnap children?" Peter asked.

"My powers finally began to emerge a year ago. I was happy. In fact, it was around that time that I tried to adopt a child." Lily said.

"Then what happened?" Peter asked.

"I did something stupid when I was twenty one. Left an ugly mark on my record. The adoption agency didn't look past it." Lily revealed.

"I'm sorry. But, the solution isn't to kidnap children, especially ones who don't belong to you." Peter said.

"That's cute, but I'm way past ethics." Lily said, smiling.

"Where are the children, Lily?" Peter asked.

"I have them in a shed in back of the cabin. Once I steal enough money, and buy a big enough mansion, they'll all come live with me. Their new mommy!" Lily said.

"It'll never happen. You're delusion." Peter told her.

"We'll see. Luckily, you won't be around to find out." Lily said, leaving out of the cabin.

"LILY!" Peter yelled.

Sun heard a knock on her door. 

"Beldon?" Sun asked, opening the door.

Beldon stormed in.

"It's MISSING!" Beldon yelled.

"What is?" Sun asked.

"The Quantum Generator. I was gonna present it tonight at the opening of the museum." Beldon said.

"Oh goodness, who could have taken it?" Sun asked.

"Security footage showed a blur on the screen at around ten o'clock this morning." Beldon revealed.

"A blur? You don't think..." Sun started.

"The Quickster. He did this." Beldon said.

"How would he know about the QG?" Sun asked.

"I'll be looking into that. That speed demon will be sorry that he messed with my plans." Beldon said.

Cabin, Outskirts of New Kelp City

Irene and Tyrone arrived inside Lily's cabin.

"Peter!" Irene yelled, seeing Peter inside the cell.

"GUYS, what are you doing here?" Peter asked, standing up.

"We're here for you, silly!" Tyrone said.

"I tried to reach you guys on my coms, but they must of been damaged when I took a whack over the head via Lily's shovel." Peter said.

"We figured that was the case. That's why Seid got a computer program that helped us track Lily's teleportation cycles. She always came back to this one location." Irene said.

"So she's been kidnapping more children?" Peter asked.

"Yes." Tyrone confirmed.

"She's keeping them all in a shed out back. I've GOT to get out of here." Peter said.

Tyrone took off his backpack.

"No worries, I have a metal pipe in here to break the glass." Tyrone said, taking out the short pipe.

"Stand back." Irene said.

Peter backed up.

Tyrone hit the glass with the pipe.

"It didn't break..." Tyrone said.

"That's impossible." Irene said, distraught.

"I've tried speeding into it. It must be maxi glass." Peter said.

"So how do we get you out of here? Preferably before Quick Shift gets back." Tyrone said.

"Did... did you, just name Lily, Quick Shift." Peter asked.

"Sweet name." Irene said, laughing.

"Well, ya know, I am super creative." Tyrone said, proud of himself.

"Guys, do you smell smoke?" Irene asked.

Suddenly, a fire began to spread through the cabin, coming from the door.

Outside, lily was seen backing away from the door, dropping a box of matches.

"That takes care of my little pests." Lily said, looking at the car that Irene and Tyrone arrived in.

"She's trying to burn us alive! Peter, you have to get out of there!" Tyrone said, panicking.

"I've tried!" Peter said.

Irene called Seid.

"Irene, have you guys found Peter?" Seid asked.

"Yes, but he's stuck behind Maxi Glass. And we're about to be burned alive in this cabin." Irene said.

"I know what Peter needs to do." Seid said.

"It'd be helpful if you told us!" Irene said, as the fire began to spread more.

"Peter has to vibrate himself out of the maxi glass." Seid told her.

"Peter, he said you have yo vibrate yourself out of there" Irene told him.

"I... I don't know if I can." Peter said.

"I know you can." Tyrone said, looking Peter in the eye.

Peter put his hands on the glass. At once, he began to vibrate his body at great speeds.

"Everything vibrates on a molecular level, Peter. Feel for the vibration of the glass." Irene said, repeating words from Seid said.

Peter tapped into the molecular vibration of the glass, and was able to phase through it.

"Yes!" Tyrone said.

"Woo!" Irene chaired.

The three hugged.

"Okay, now what about this fire." Tyrone said, quickly.

Peter super speeded his arms, creating strong winds that put out the fire.

Speeding his friends out of the cabin, Lily teleported in front of them.

"NO!" Lily yelled.

"Guys, get out of here." Peter said.

Irene and Tyrone ran towards Tyrone's car.

"Lily, I know this isn't you." Peter said.

"Because of some other timeline?" Lily asked.

"Because you're a survivor." Peter said.

Lily looked at him with tears.

"Don't tarnish that. Make something out of it." Peter urged her.

"Thanks, but no thanks." Lily said, teleporting away.

"Peter tried to speed toward her, but she was already gone.

Irene and Tyrone got out of the car.

"She's gone." Peter said.

"We didn't catch this one. That's alright, because I think what you said got to her." Irene said.

"Let's see if your right." Peter said.

Peter speeded to the shed behind the cabin.

Taking a deep breath, Peter opened the shed.

At least a dozen children began to scream out The Quickster's name.

"Don't worry, I'm gonna get you all out of here!" Peter said, noticing the kids' hands and legs were binded with rope.

Kelp Labs

At Kelp Labs, Seid congratulated the team.

"Nice job out there." Seid said, as the three walked in.

"Was it you who called the police?" Peter asked.

"Anonymous tip." Seid smiled.

"Well, the officers are transporting all the kids back into the city as we speak. I helped speed a few kids home, much to the chargin of the commissioner." Peter said.

"You were great out there." Irene said.

"And you guys had my back." Peter smiled.

"It's ashame about Quick Shift, though." Tyrone said.

Seid looked confused.

"He named her." Peter and Irene said together.

"Ah. Anyway, I have good news on that front." Seid said.

"Yeah?" Peter asked.

"The Quantum Tracker shows that Lily's energy signature is no longer in the city." Seid said.

"So, she just left?" Peter asked.

"Like I told you... you made an impression on her." Irene said.

"I hope." Peter said.

"Holy jellyfish." Seid said.

"What's wrong?" Irene asked.

Seid pulled up the News alert.

"The Paradye Technology Museum is delaying it's opening due to a stolen exhibit." Seid said, looking sternly at Peter.

"I took it. I took the QG." Peter revealed.

"The what now?" Tyrone asked.

"Quantum Generator." Irene told him.

"Peter, I TOLD YOU that you needed to let the day's events play out exactly how they did in the previous timeline." Seid said.

"I couldn't. In the previous timeline, Irene was killed by Lady Quick. It all stemmed from that one event." Peter said.

Irene's heart dropped.

"I don't know what to say." Irene said, feeling weak.

"I'm sorry, Irene. I wanted to tell you." Peter said.

"Where is the Quantum Generator now?" Seid asked.

"I'm gonna keep that to myself. For now. Until we catch this other speedster. She's out there, and she'll be back." Peter said.

"Not if we try and find out who she is before then." Tyrone said.

Irene noticed something on Peter.

"Infact, I know where we can start." Irene said, lifting Peter's arm.

Irene plucked a blonde hair string from Peter's costume.

"That's a hair string..." Peter said.

"What this is... may be residue from the timeline you left." Irene said.

"Residue from me and Lady Quick's battle. You're a genius!" Peter said.

"Indeed she is." Seid said.

Suddenly, Irene got a phone call.

"Yes?" Irene answered.

"Hello, are you Irene Hart?" a woman asked.

"I am." Irene said.

"I'm calling from New Kelp General Hospital. You were identified as the biological daughter of a woman, Evelyn Hart." the woman continued.

"Yes, and?" Irene asked.

"Evelyn Hart committed suicide in an alleyway. Her body was brought in, but it was too late for the hospital to reverse the damage. I'm so sorry." the woman continued.

Irene hung up.

"Irene, what's wrong?" Peter asked.

Irene began to cry.

"My mother. My biological mother is dead." Irene said, wiping her tears. 

Seid looked at Peter.

Peter looked bewildered.

"How?" Tyrone asked.

"Suicide." Irene told them.

Tyrone hugged Irene.

"Peter, I need to know... did she die in the timeline that you left?" Irene asked.

Peter looked nervous.

"Yes. She did." Peter lied.

Seid could tell that Peter was lying.

"I... uh, I'm gonna go home." Irene said, walking out.

"I'm gonna make sure she gets home okay." Tyrone said, leaving after her.

Seid walked closer to Peter.

"I told you to let this day play out the way it was supposed to. If you had done that, the timeline you left would have continued." Seid said.

"I don't need this right now, Professor." Peter said, emotionally.

"But, you need to hear it. Because of your actions today, who knows what changes have rippled through the face of future history."  Seid told him.

"You can't tell Irene that her mother survived in the original timeline." Peter said.

"I shouldn't have to." Seid said, implying that Peter should be honest with Irene.

"Everything I did today was for the best." Peter said.

"Are you sure about that? Careful, Quickster. With god-like powers such as yours... there's a fine line between hero and villain." Seid said, leaving out.

Peter stood alone, contemplating what's happened.

Speed Room, Kelp Labs

Seid, Irene, and Tyrone were monitoring Peter's speed level in the Speed Room.

As Peter stopped running, Irene and Tyrone cheered for him.  

"Peter, man, that was amazing!" Tyrone said.

"That was your fastest time ever!" Irene said, running to hug him.

"Thanks, thanks. I've been putting in a lot of effort into improving lately." Peter said.

"Well, it looks like you're on your way to becoming the Quickest man alive." Seid said.

"I feel like I've heard that phrase before. Maybe one of the words were different?" Tyrone asked.

"Uh, Tyrone... I need your help with something upstairs." Seid asked.

"Yeah, sure." Tyrone said.

The two left.

"So, how have things been between you and Tyrone lately?" Irene asked.

"Pretty normal, actually. I think he's trying to repress the whole kiss thing." Peter said.

"Do you think you can?" Irene asked.

"I still like him. That won't be changing anytime soon." Peter said.

"He'll come to terms with who he is. Don't worry." Irene said, hugging Peter.

"So, umm, what did Professor Seid want with him?" Peter asked.

"Oh, Seid wants Tyrone to hack into the computer systems of hospitals across the city." Irene told him.

"Why?" Peter asked.

"If we can get medical analysis from hospitals across New Kelp, we could narrow down who Lady Quick is." Irene said.

"What if she's not from New Kelp City? Or if she is a resident of New Kelp, what if she's never been admitted to a hospital?" Peter questioned.

"Valid questions, Pete. But, I feel that the odds will be on our side here." Irene said.

Clamstone Park, New Kelp City

At Clamstone Park, we see Beldon Dime sitting on bench, sporting sunglasses and a hat to hide his identity.

Professor Seid arrives, subtly sitting next to him.

"Hello, Seid." Beldon said.

"Good afternoon." Seid said.

"Where is the Quantum Generator?" Beldon asked.

"I told you. The Chang boy hid it." Seid said.

"I thought you would of gotten the location out of him by now." Beldon said, angrily.

"Peter's reluctant to give up the information until we find this uhh... female speedster." Seid said.

"The speedster who stole my property in this apparent, 'original timeline'?" Beldon asked.

"Exactly. Me and Peter's friends are trying to find out who this woman is." Seid told him

"Well do it fast. We have a very specific window of time to set this plan into motion, or the future we want will never come to be." Beldon said, mysteriously.

"Trust me. I'm all about my future." Seid said.

Kelp Labs

Peter and Irene arrived upstairs from the Speed Room.

"Hey, Tyrone... where's Professor Seid?" Peter asked.

"He said he was stepping out for some coffee." Tyrone said, hard at work on the computer.

"He's been going on a lot of coffee runs lately." Peter said.

"Uh, Irene. I want to ask you something." Tyrone said, getting up.

"Oh, sure." Irene said.

Tyrone gestured for her to come over to the corner.

"What is it?" Irene asked.

Peter looked over discreetly. 

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me tonight?" Tyrone asked.

"Oh... wow." Irene said, shocked.

"Are you... are you not interested?" Tyrone asked.

"Can I just get back to you?" Irene asked.

"Well, you do have my number." Tyrone said, winking.

Irene flashed a smile.

"I'm gonna go get a snack." Tyrone said, leaving.

Irene walked over to Peter.

"I'm assuming you overhead a little of that?" Irene asked.

"It was like I wasn't even in the room." Peter said, emotional.

"Peter, I didn't mean for this to happen. I will totally turn him down." Irene said.

"I mean, are you interested?" Peter asked.

"Tyrone's pretty cute... and funny, but I would never want to betray you." Irene said.

"No, no. You wouldn't be. Go for it." Peter said, nodding

"Are you sure?" Irene asked.

"Yes. I just hope he wouldn't be using you to, ya know, cover up." Peter said.

"Maybe he's bi?" Irene asked.

"For your sake, I hope so." Peter said.

Suddenly, the alert system went off.

"There's a new meta attack." Irene said, as she and Peter raced to the computer.

Tyrone arrived back upstairs.

"What's up this time?" Tyrone asked.

Irene pulled up a News headline.

"Female speedster rampages through NKPD and releases a prisoner who was awaiting trial." Irene read.

"There's video footage." Peter said.

Irene played it.

"Is that her, Petey?" Tyrone asked.

"That's Lady Quick. But, who is that she's freeing?" Peter questioned.

"Oh no..." Irene said, realizing.

Irene pulled back up the News report.

"Tammie Hernandez." Irene revealed.

"Boom." Tyrone said.

Seid walked in.

"I guess you guys found out about what happened at NKPD this morning.

"The NKPD released the footage. It was for sure Lady Quick from the timeline I left." Peter said.

"Yeah, and she released Tammie Hernandez." Seid said, shaking his head.

"Why would Lady Quick release Boom?" Irene asked.

"It's a play. To get to me." Peter guessed.

"But, you guys never met in this revised timeline." Irene said.

"I don't think that matters, Irene. Lady Quick would of guessed that it was another speedster who stole the Quantum Generator from the Paradye Museum before she could." Seid figured.

"Well I'm gonna get back to work." Tyrone said.

"I know it's not an ideal Saturday afternoon, Mr. East, but thank you." Seid said.

Warehouse, New Kelp City

Lady Quick and Tammie arrived at an empty warehouse.

"That was cool!" Tammie said, as Lady Quick stopped running.

"Yeah, yeah, the novelty wears off after a few times." Lady Quick said.

"Wait, but, why did you bust me out of jail?" Tammie asked.

"Because I need you." Lady Quick said.

"With that speed, you really don't need anyone." Tammie pointed out.

"Look, I know The Quickster got you put away. I know you'd like revenge." Lady Quick said.

"Not just on him. Beldon Dime as well." Tammie said.

"I need to make a play for this... Quickster. A power play, if you will. In order to do that, I need you to drop your focus on Beldon." Lady Quick said.

"You were nice enough to break me out. Even if it was for your own gain. I'll put aside Beldon for now, and help you draw out The Quickster." Tammie said.

"Thank you." Lady Quick said. "Oh, and.. about Beldon? I think if you help me, Beldon will 100% get what's coming to him." Lady Quick added.

Tammie nodded her head.

Kelp Labs

Irene and Tyrone were seen still at Kelp Labs.

"Alright, that's a wrap." Tyrone said.

"Wait, what?" Irene asked.

"The program I created will autonomously encrypt files and records from all of the hospitals across New Kelp City. In a matter of twenty four hours or less, the process for tracking Lady Quick's identity, should be a go." Tyrone explained, excitedly.

"You're amazing!" Irene said.

Irene and Tyrone hugged.

"Uh.. so, I wanted to tell you yes." Irene blurted out.

"Yes?" Tyrone asked.

"About the date." Irene said.

"OH, really?!! Oh my god, so cool!" Tyrone said.

"So, what do you want to do?" Irene asked.

"We could go to New Kelp Plaza." Tyrone asked.

"The mall? I go there so often." Irene said, laughing.

"Yes, but tonight is gonna be special. Ned and the Needlefish are playing there at seven." Tyrone told her.

"I did hear something about that! Sometimes I looove living in New Kelp City." Irene said.

Tyrone nodded in agreement.

"Oh, Peter!" Sun said, seeing her son pass the living room.

Peter went over to her.

"I was just getting some details together for me and Ray's wedding." Sun said, taking her reading glasses off.

"Oh, yeah? How's it going?" Peter asked, sitting next to her on the couch.

"Well, we definitely want to schedule it for after Tyrone's high school graduation. We don't want to steal the spotlight." Sun said.

"Yeah, I'm sure Tyrone would appreciate that." Peter said. 

"What's Tyrone up to anyway? You two haven't had one of your bro-nights in a while." Sun said, laughing.

"Uh, well, I think Tyrone will be too busy tonight anyway." Peter said.

"Is he going on a date?" Sun asked.

"More or less." Peter said, appearing sad.

"Are you okay?" Sun asked.

"Just fine." Peter said, faking a grin.

"I know what's going on here." Sun said.

"You.. do?" Peter asked.

"Yes. I'm getting married to Ray. Tyrone's found a girlfriend, obviously. Now you feel all lonely and hopeless. But, don't worry, I'm sure you'll find a nice boyfriend soon." Sun said, smiling and hugging him.

"Okay, mom. Yeah, sure." Peter said, standing up.

"Trust me, son. Love always finds a way." Sun said.

"I hope so." Peter said, walking away.

New Kelp Plaza

Irene and Tyrone were seen at the mall.

"So many people are here." Irene said, looking around.

"Well, Ned and the Needlefish will be playing soon, so I suppose everyone's really crowding in." Tyrone said.

"Thanks for the invite." Irene said, blushing.

"Thanks for coming with me." Tyrone said.

The two stopped walking, looking into each other's eyes.

Irene kissed Tyrone.

"That happened..." Tyrone said, awkwardly.

"Yeah..." Irene said, also awkwardly.

"Umm, I'm gonna go to the restroom. I'll be right back." Tyrone said.

"Okay, yeah." Irene said.

Tyrone entered the restroom, coming near the sink.

He pulled out his phone, and looked at a picture of Peter and him together.

"Senior Year Carnival. We had so much fun." Tyrone said, remembering the event from a few months ago.

"Thinking about a guy?" a random voice was heard.

A man appeared from out of the bathroom stall, wearing sunglasses.

"Uhh, I didn't know anyone else was in here." Tyrone said.

"Because you were so lost in that picture. I watched you for a few minutes now, and you were none the wiser." the man said.

"Do I know you?" Tyrone asked, looking at him hard.

The man snatched off his sunglasses.

"WHOA! You're Ned from Ned and The Needlefish!" Tyrone freaked out.

"I'm surprised these sunglasses still work to hide me anymore." Ned said, laughing.

"Sorry, I'm just so in my own head right now." Tyrone said.

"Have anything to do with that boy on your phone?" Ned asked.

Tyrone exited the picture, putting his phone in his pocket.

"I'm here with a girl tonight. A girl that I really like." Tyrone said.

"You don't have to prove anything to me." Ned said.

"What do you mean?" Tyrone asked.

"I think the more you deny your feelings to your own self, the more hate and shame you end up experiencing." Ned preached.

"Shame, huh?" Tyrone responded.

"If you care about what other people think or say, you're always gonna keep that shame with you. Take me for example. I no longer care that people know I'm bald." Ned said, taking off his wig.

Tyrone smiled.

"But, why do you still wear the wig?" Tyrone asked.

"Because I stopped wearing it for others, and started wearing it for myself." Ned told him, putting the wig back on.

Tyrone nodded.

"Now, I got a show to play. As for you? Maybe you have a show that you need to stop playing." Ned said, leaving the restroom.

Tyrone went into deep thought, staring at himself in the mirror.

A few minutes later, we see Tyrone, Irene, and hundreds of shoppers surround a platform where Ned and The Needlefish are seen performing.

"I LOVE this song!" Irene said, dancing along.

"I hope they play their new hit next." Tyrone said, being bumped into by another person.

Suddenly, everyone heard loud blasts.

Tammie Hernandez was seen walking through the Plaza, launching her energy balls all over the place.

Shoppers began to run in every which way.

"I'm calling Peter!" Tyrone said, pulling out his phone.

At his home, Peter receives a call.

"Tyrone, is everything okay?" Peter asked.

"Boom is here at the mall! Peter, you've gotta come." Tyrone stressed.

Peter immediately speeded into his suit and down to the Plaza.

Tammie was seen creating a hoard of energy balls and throwing them at security guards who were racing up to her.

The Quickster arrives and pulls all of the guards out of the way of the balls.

The balls hit a pillar in the mall, bringing down pieces of the mall's structure.

"This is bad!" Irene said.

"Come on, Peter's got this!" Tyrone said, pulling Irene away.

"QUICKSTER!" Tammie yelled.

"Boom!" Peter said, stopping in front of her.

"Boom? Hmm... I like it!" Tammie said.

"You need to stop. I know you're only doing all of this for Lady Quick." Peter said.

"You're killing me with these names!" Tammie said, laughing.

"WHO IS SHE?" Peter asked.

"Never told me her identity, but I don't care. She gave me an opportunity." Tammie said.

"To be an escaped convict?" Peter asked.

"To kill those who WRONGED me!" Tammie yelled.

Tammie threw more energy balls at Peter.

The Quickster used his quick reaction time to grab each of the balls in slow motion and throw them back at Tammie.

The balls hit the ground by Tammie and exploded.

Tammie is pushed back through a glass window.

"You really have a thing for glass windows, huh Tammie?" Peter asked, humorously.

Suddenly, Lady Quick arrives, ramming into The Quickster with her speed.

"Hello, Quickster." Lady Quick greeted.

Peter quickly got up.

"Lady Quick." Peter said, startled.

"Cute name. I think I'll adopt it. I know what you did, and I want back what's mine." Lady Quick said.

"You're not getting back the QG!" Peter shouted.

"Then I'll KILL you!" Lady Quick said.

The Quickster and Lady Quick rammed into each other, while using their super speed.

"How did you know I was going to steal it?" Lady Quick asked, stopping.

"Lucky guess!" Peter said.

"Something's off. You changed the timeline, didn't you?" Lady Quick asked.

The Quickster spun his arms fast, creating a whirlwind that pushed Lady Quick back.

Lady Quick was pushed into a wall. When she regained herself, Peter was gone.

Suddenly, several police officers and a S.W.A.T team stormed the Plaza.

"SHIT!" Lady Quick said, speeding away.

"Capture that one, QUICKLY!" Commissioner Daley ordered.

The officers put an inhibitor collar around an unconscious Tammie.

Shelly's

Irene and Tyrone were seen at Shelly's.

"I feel bad that we left Peter all alone to deal with Boom." Irene said.

"He'd rather not have to worry about us, so we did him a favor by leaving." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, perhaps." Irene said.

"Sorry that this... ruined our date." Tyrone remarked.

"Maybe it was for the best." Irene said.

"What do you mean?" Tyrone asked.

"Well, the date was kinda... awkward anyway?" Irene asked.

"True." Tyrone said, laughing.

"I think maybe we should stick to being friends." Irene said.

"Okay. Yeah." Tyrone said, slightly disappointed.

Irene received a text.

"It's Peter. He's at Kelp Labs now." Irene revealed.

Kelp Labs

Irene and Tyrone arrived at Kelp Labs.

"Nice of the two of you to join us." Seid said.

"So, what happened with Boom?" Tyrone asked.

"I knocked her into another store window, and then Lady Quick showed up." Peter revealed.

"She could of killed you." Irene said.

"Don't worry, I managed to get away from her. But, she is a tough opponent." Peter said.

"Is she faster than you?" Tyrone asked.

"I... I don't know what to say." Peter replied.

"There's no shame, Peter. You just need to get quicker. So that you can put this chick into the ground." Seid said.

"Make her eat your dust!" Tyrone said.

Peter smiled.

"I'm gonna go get the lab ready for analyzing the hair strand." Irene said.

"Good idea, Irene. I'll meet you there." Seid said.

Peter followed Irene into the hall.

"Hey, Irene." Peter said.

"Oh, hey." Irene said, turning around.

"I'm so sorry about your date." Peter said.

"No, don't worry. Besides, we won't be doing that again." Irene said.

"Wait, what? You and Tyrone broke up?" Peter asked.

"It was just a date, Peter. There was never anything to break up." Irene said.

"Was there a lack of chemistry?" Peter asked.

"In part. But, the main reason was you." Irene said.

"Me?" Peter asked.

"I know you said you didn't mind, but I did. I couldn't date Tyrone, knowing that you'd secretly feel like crap every time you saw us together." Irene explained.

"You shouldn't of done that for me." Peter said.

"You're my best friend. I would do anything for you, and nothing could ever come between us. Boys, secrets, or lies." Irene stressed.

Peter felt extremely guilty.

Irene hugged Peter and kissed him on the cheek.

Peter watched as she walked off.

"I have to tell her the truth." Peter whispered to himself.

Peter walked into the Lab Room.

"Peter?" Irene asked.

"Sit with me. Please." Peter asked of her.

The both of them sat down on chairs.

"What's wrong?" Irene asked.

"I have something huge to tell you." Peter said, shaking.

"Peter, what could be so huge?" Irene asked, noticing his body language.

"I lied to you." Peter said, trying to hold in tears.

"About what?" Irene asked, with her heart racing.

"Your mother. She was alive in the original timeline." Peter told her.

Irene looked empty.

"In the original timeline, what exactly happened?" Irene asked, calmly.

"She came to Kelp Labs by surprise. You talked with her, made up with her. You two made plans for dinner, BUT before that could happen, Lady Quick killed you." Peter explained.

Irene finally shed tears.

"She committed suicide, because I rejected her in this timeline." Irene said, continuing to cry.

"Irene - " Peter tried to speak.

"This whole time, you've kept this from me!" Irene said, wiping her tears.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't want you to hate me!" Peter said, finally shedding his own tears.

"I... uh, need some time away." Irene said, getting up.

"Irene, please." Peter said.

"Finals start next week, I just need some time away from Kelp Labs to deal with that." Irene said, breathing heavy.

Peter nodded.

"Bye, Peter." Irene said, hurt.

Irene took off.

Peter stood alone in the lab, disappointed in himself.

Ep.7 

Kelp Labs

Irene arrives at Kelp Labs, seeing Peter and Tyrone making upgrades to the Quickster suit.

"A lining of blue here would make it look ten times better." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Peter rolled his eyes.

"I like it just the way it is." Irene said.

"Irene... you're here." Peter said, nervous.

"Well, finals are over, and so are our classes." Irene said.

"I hope this means you're back with the Team Quickster brain-trust." Seid said, walking in.

"I never left I just needed some time to gather myself." Irene said.

"We understand." Tyrone said, looking at Peter.

"Sorry I wasn't around to help with analysis of the Lady Quick hair sample." Irene said.

"No worries. We should be getting a match for the hair sample in twenty four hours or less." Seid said.

"Great! Uh, Tyrone... are we still on for our date tonight?" Irene asked.

Peter and Seid looked confused.

"Totally." Tyrone said, smiling.

"Okay. I'm uh, gonna go to the Lab Room. Never too early to start working on my summer independent study." Irene said, leaving.

Peter turned to Tyrone.

"You two are back on again?" Peter asked.

"She texted me last night, asking if we could give things a go again. I was happy to say yes." Tyrone said.

"Okay." Peter said, nodding his head.

"I'm gonna go see if she needs some help getting started." Tyrone said, exiting also.

Seid walked over to Peter.

"Everything alright there?" Seid asked.

"Irene's only dating Tyrone again to get back at me for lying to her." Peter said.

"I don't blame her for being enraged. I mean, you changed the trajectory of her life by mentioning future events. Something I told you not to do." Seid said.

"I saved her life. She could of died if I didn't make changes to the timeline." Peter said.

"It wasn't your call to play with history." Seid said.

"Are you saying you would of wanted Irene to die?" Peter asked.

"Obviously not. But I do believe that fate is more powerful than any one person." Seid told him.

Peter nodded.

Fancy!

Beldon Dime and an associate were having a brunch at an upscale restaurant, Fancy!.

"This place is magnificent, Jonathan. I have to bring my wife and daughter here some time." Beldon said.

"Well, I'm glad you're enjoying the food. Now, onto the topic of Paradye Industries acquiring my firm." Jonathan said.

"Right. Well, I know you had some reservations before about this, but I truly think your science firm could do great things under my tutelage." Beldon started off.

Suddenly, a fire blast completely destroyed their table.

Beldon and Jonathan fell out of their seats, as a man in a red costume and lit on fire came toward them.

"IT'S CAPTAIN MAGMA!" a random voice said.

"BELDON DIME, I'm here for you." Captain Magma said,

Beldon's security force raced toward the hero, as Magma used a large heatwave to melt their guns.

At Kelp Labs, the computer system alerted Team Quickster, who all rushed to see what was going on.

"A meta attack at the restaurant, Fancy!" Seid said, reading over the alert.

"I'M ON IT!" Peter said, racing off with his speed.

At Fancy!, Captain Magma was seen fist fighting Beldon's security force, eventually knocking them all down.

"Finally." Captain Magma said, walking toward Beldon, who had his back to a corner.

The Quickster arrived, coming in between the two.

"WHOA! Captain Magma? Dude it's nice to meet yo- " Peter started.

Captain Magma lit fire from his hands.

" - Okay, clearly you're not up for talking..." Peter said.

The Quickster grabbed onto Magma, speeding him out of the restaurant.

Magma, annoyed, let out fire from his body, which pushed Peter off of him.

The Quickster stopped running, as the two were in a back alleyway.

At Kelp Labs, Tyrone hacked into the security cameras around the city.

"Oh my god, that's Captain Magma." Tyrone said.

"Is he gonna... attack Peter?" Irene asked.

The footage showed Magma charging up.

"Well, good thing one of the updates on Peter's suit was 'resistance to flames'. We can thank our experiences with Boom for that idea." Tyrone said.

Seid looked on curiously.

In the alleyway, Peter addressed the flaming hero.

"Okay, from what I know, you're a hero." Peter said.

"And from what I know, you've ruined my plans!" Magma said, frustrated.

"I don't know what you're on, bro.. but I'm not gonna let you harm anyone!" Peter said.

Captain Magma became angered, blasting an intense fire stream at The Quickster.

The Quickster spins his arms, releasing winds to counter the fire.

Magma charges at him, kicking him in his ball sack.

"Ouch!" Peter said

Magma punches him down, as The Quickster used his speed to fast-ly trip down Magma as well.

"Neither of us are gonna win this!" Peter said, as the two laid on their backs.

"You wanna bet?" Magma said, as his head was throbbing.

"Dude, just tell me what your damage is?" Peter asked.

"My damage is Beldon Dime. And he should be yours, too." Magma said, lifting up.

Peter stood, giving Magma a hand as well.

"Thanks." Magma said.

"Why don't you come with me? I think we're actually on the same side, after all." Peter said.

Kelp Labs

Peter speeded into Kelp Labs with Captain Magma.

"Alright, no more of that." Magma said, feeling sick.

"Ohhhhhh myyyyy godddddd! I am a big fan." Tyrone said, gushing over Magma.

"Nice to meet an admirer. Is this your team?" Magma asked.

"Yes. They're very trustworthy. This is Tyrone, that's Irene, and that's Professor Seid." Peter introduced.

"Nice to meet you all." Magma said.

"Oh, and I'm Peter." Peter said, taking off his mask.

"Peter, seriously?" Seid said, sighing.

"What, he's not gonna out me." Peter said.

"If you need extra reassurance, I am Johnny." Magma said, taking off his mask.

"Whoa, Johnny Flaire? Your family is pretty famous." Irene said.

"Now infamous, but it is what it is." Johnny said.

"This is awesome!" Tyrone said, with an open mouth smile.

"Mr. Flaire, I couldn't help but overhear that you have some beef with Beldon Dime?" Seid asked.

"Yes. And from what I'm getting from Peter, you all do as well." Johnny guessed.

"Beldon's company ran illegal experimentations on young children back in the late 90s." Peter revealed.

"Seriously? What were the goal of these experiments?" Johnny asked.

"Creating metas. Like me." Peter said.

"Wait, you were a victim of this?" Johnny asked.

"Yes I was." Johnny said.

"We hacked Paradye, and found a list of all of these potential metas. Some have popped up recently, wreaking havoc on the city with their powers. But it all goes back to Paradye." Irene said.

"And Beldon." Johnny added.

"So, Mr. Magma... why are you after Beldon?" Tyrone asked.

"Good question." Seid said, looking at him intensely.

"For a while now, I've been chasing after a man named Raymond Charles." Johnny said.

"He goes by ManRay. I remember reading about him half a decade ago, but he's been a ghost over the last couple of years." Seid said.

"Exactly. But, he hasn't been inactive. He's been an invisible hand behind the escape of a mentally insane metafish, and a drug trafficking ring in my own city, New Coral." Johnny said.

"What does this have to do with Beldon?" Peter asked.

"In my quest for information on this ManRay, I ran across Beldon Dime's name from some whistle blowers. I had planned out my kidnapping of him beforehand. I knew he was having a brunch today with an associate, and I thought this would be my chance. Unfortunately, Peter here messed that up." Johnny said, staring at him.

"Okay, dude... superhero kidnapping CEO of company is a good way to get your status changed to supervillain." Peter replied.

"Peter's right. We need to be smart about all of this." Irene said.

"Is that why you all haven't exposed Beldon yet?" Johnny asked.

"That, and the fact that he may have a speedster of his own working with him. We're trying to find out her identity in order to get the upper hand on her." Irene said.

Beldon Dime's Home

Beldon arrived at his home, as his personal security fought off nosy reporters.

Beldon entered his living room.

"Honey! Are you okay?" Marissa asked, hugging her husband.

"I'm fine." Beldon said.

"Captain Magma tried to ATTACK you." Marissa said.

"Wouldn't be the first superpowered freak to do so." Beldon said.

Suddenly, his teenage daughter ran into the living room.

"Dad, what is going on? Why would a superhero attack you?" Melondy asked, grabbing onto him.

"Relax, everything will be fine." Beldon said, kissing her head.

"I wish the reporters would go away." Melondy said, as they flashed their photography through the living room window.

Beldon and Marissa rolled down the blinds.

Shelly's

Peter, Irene, Tyrone, and Johnny were also seen at Shelly's Diner.

"The coffee here is really terrific." Johnny said.

"Glad you like the place." Peter said.

"We come here usually to unload our stress." Irene added.

"Unloading stress for me is going a few round with a punching bag at this lowscale gym in New Coral." Johnny said.

The three chuckled.

"I'm serious." Johnny said, smiling.

"Oh, Tyrone, we should get going." Irene said.

"Right." Tyrone said.

"Where are you guys going?" Peter asked.

"Dress shopping for me." Irene said.

"For your date tonight?" Peter questioned.

"Actually we're canceling that. Tyrone's prom is tomorrow night after his graduation ceremony. We decided to save the excitement for then." Irene said.

"You're taking Irene to your prom?" Peter asked Tyrone.

"...Uh, yeah... Petey." Tyrone said, conflicted.

"Umm, that's... uhh, great." Peter said, forcing a smile.

Johnny read Peter's expressions.

"So, yeah, come on." Irene said.

Irene and Tyrone left the Diner.

"That wasn't subtle." Johnny said.

"What wasn't?" Peter asked, blushing.

"You like him." Johnny said.

"But so does my best friend. For the wrong reasons, though." Peter said.

"What does that mean?" Johnny asked.

"I did something bad that I hid from Irene. I lied to her for weeks. She found out I lied, and distanced herself for days. Today, I find out she asked out Tyrone again, who she knows I have feelings for." Peter explained.

"Yeah, Irene's not very subtle either. There's a darkness in her. I picked up on that easily, because it's the same thing that's in me. Fire, rage... all comes from negative past experiences. It stays with you." Johnny said.

"Irene's one of the sweetest people I know. She may have been through some stuff, but there's no darkness in her." Peter said.

"Then you need to get your vision checked." Johnny said, raising his eyebrows.

Change Household

Peter and Johnny arrived at his house.

"Mom, I'm having a guy spend the night." Peter said, walking into the living room.

Sun was shocked to see Johnny Flaire walk in with him.

"Well, well... Johnny Flaire. I met your parents once at a convention. I'm so sorry about their recent divorce." Sun said, shaking his hand.

"Don't be sorry, it was for the best." Johnny said.

"How did you meet my son? And why are you here in New Kelp?" Sun questioned.

"I met Peter at a restaurant." Johnny said.

"Yeah, it was a fiery encounter." Peter said, nearly laughing.

"We got to talking about some business I'm conducting in the city." Johnny said.

"Oh cool! Well, uh... doors open, yeah?" Sun told Peter.

"MOM, we're not screwing!" Peter said.

"Straight as an arrow. Peter just offered me a place to crash until my uhhh, assignment is complete." Johnny said.

"Oh, okay then. You're welcomed here anyhow." Sun said, slightly embarrassed.

"I'm gonna go raid your kitchen." Johnny said, taking off.

"Uh, Peter, tomorrow I want you to come with me and Ray to Tyrone's graduation ceremony." Sun said.

"Of course." Peter said.

Kelp Labs

The next morning, Peter and Johnny arrived at Kelp Labs.

"I thought you guys would get here quicker!" Seid said.

"This guy refused to let me speed him again." Peter said.

"Like I said, never again. I still feel lightheaded from last time." Johnny joked.

"The analysis is complete. We're about to find out who Lady Quick really is." Seid told them.

"Nice!" Peter said.

"Where are Irene and Tyrone?" Seid asked.

"Probably getting ready for Tyrone's graduation ceremony." Peter said.

"Right." Seid said.

Seid read the results from the computer screen.

"Who is she?" Peter asked.

"This... this... can't be right." Seid said.

"Seid, what does it say?" Peter asked.

"There's a 99.9% DNA match to Melondy Dime." Seid revealed.

"Beldon's teenage daughter." Johnny said.

"What? Does that mean he subjected his daughter to the same experiments?" Peter asked.

"We've been over the Paradye List a million times, and she's not on it." Seid said.

"That doesn't mean she's not Lady Quick. We have our proof right here." Peter said.

"Now you guys need to do something with it." Johnny said.

"And what would that be, Mr. Flaire?" Seid asked.

"We need to kidnap Melondy Dime." Johnny said.

"Okay, hold up... I just don't see how this would end well." Peter voiced.

"Maybe it's necessary. If she remains on the field, the Quantum Generator won't ever be safe out in the open. This is our time to remove Lady Quick from the equation once and for all." Seid said.

"Fine. I'll do it." Peter said.

"We'll do it." Johnny said.

Peter nodded.

"Suit up." Seid told them both.

Chang Household

Irene arrived at the Chang house.

Sun opened the door.

"Irene, hi. You look beautiful!" Sun said.

Irene flaunted her dress.

"Thanks, Ms. Chang. I thought we could ride over together to the ceremony? It's starting in ten minutes." Irene said.

"I was trying to wait for Peter, but he left out early this morning. Where on earth could he be?" Sun questioned.

Irene looked at her phone, seeing the missed alert from Seid.

"Uh, I wish I knew." Irene said, lying.

"Well, come on. Maybe he'll meet me there." Sun said, leaving out.

Beldon Dime's House

Johnny charged down the street of Beldon's home with his motorcycle.

The motorcycle had flames erupting from it, attracting the attention of Beldon's home security as Johnny got closer. 

Stepping off of his cycle, the home security team races outside pointing their guns at the flaming hero.

In a flash, The Quickster stole all of their guns.

"No heat for you guys. Plenty for ME!" Johnny said, launching fire blasts at them.

From her room window, Melondy Dime saw the fight going on in the front yard.

From behind, Melondy felt a gust of wind.

The Quickster had speeded into her bedroom.

"What is happening?!? Why are superheroes terrorizing my family?" Melondy asked.

"The jig is up, Lady Quick. And if you think you're gonna out speed me this time, you're sadly mistaken." Peter taunted.

"Lady WHO now?" Melondy asked, confused.

"Don't play with me. I KNOW you're Lady Quick." Peter said.

"I'm just a 16 year old girl who was too sick to go to school today!" Melondy argued.

"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way." Peter said.

"My dad will hear about this!" Melondy said.

"I'm counting on it!" Peter said, punching her in the face.

Melondy passed out, as Peter quickly caught her body and speeded off with her.

Kelp Labs

Seid, Peter, and Johnny watched a live report from the Lab TV screen.

"They're totally trashing us!" Johnny said.

"Well... we did just kidnap the daughter of a major CEO, so.." Peter said.

"You two are now considered public enemies. I'd be careful putting on the suit again." Seid said.

"I'll weather this out." Peter said.

The three men went down to the Prison Cell.

"I guess my prison room came in handy after all?" Seid asked.

"Still not happy about it, professor." Peter said.

"LET ME OUT!" Melondy said, banging on the glass.

"That's not gonna break is it?" Johnny asked.

"It's maxiglass. Besides, the inhibitor collar prevents her from using her powers anyway." Seid said.

"I don't HAVE powers! I'm not this Lady Quick." Melondy kept pleading.

"We'll see about that." Peter said.

"You realize that you just ruined your rep as a hero?" Melondy said to Peter.

"It was worth it in order to catch you. You killed my friend in an alternate timeline. It all makes sense. You're working with your father." Peter said.

"I don't understand a thing you're saying." Melondy said, shaking her head.

"Come on, guys. Lets give her some time to breathe... and think." Johnny said, as the three left.

"I'll catch up with you guys." Seid said, staying in the hallway.

Peter and Johnny went upstairs.

Seid made a call to Beldon.

"SEID, where the HELL is my daughter?" Beldon asked, furiously.

"Beldon, our DNA test determined that Lady Quick is MELONDY." Seid said.

"What? I never subjected my daughter to those experiments. In fact, she was born after they had ended." Beldon said.

"Right, but Peter believes that she's working with you. We both know that isn't true, and that she's not a meta. So, what the hell is happening here?" Seid questioned.

"I don't know. But, if Peter Chang wants to get personal with me, I'll return the favor." Beldon said, having an evil thought.

A few hours later, Irene and Tyrone arrived at Kelp Labs.

"Hey guys, sorry I didn't make it to the ceremony, but we have a lot to tell you." Peter said.

Irene appeared in her dress, as Tyrone sported a nice suit.

"Well, we just dropped by to check in on you. Prom is about to start." Tyrone said, as Irene clenched his arm.

Peter looked sad.

"You two don't stay out too late, prom-ise? Get it? PROM?" Johnny joked, jumping in the conversation.

Irene and Tyrone chuckled.

"It's been great having you around, Johnny." Tyrone said.

"Yeahhhh, well it's now time for me to make my exit." Johnny said.

"Leaving so soon, Mr. Flaire?" Seid asked, walking into the room.

"I am. I have to get back on the trail to finding Raymond Charles. I think I'll leave this thread with Beldon to you guys." Johnny said.

"We'll figure this all out." Peter said, nodding.

"I truly hope you all do." Johnny said.

"Well, we should get going. Safe travels, Captain Magma." Irene said.

Irene and Tyrone left.

"Oh, and uh... Peter." Johnny said, turning to him.

"Yeah?" Peter asked.

"Don't give up on Tyrone. I can tell he likes you too, but he's fighting it." Johnny said.

"Thanks, man." Peter said.

Both of them smacked hands and hugged.

"Catch you 'round, Quickster." Johnny said, leaving.

"That is one colorful guy." Seid said.

"Yeah, well thanks to him, we now know that Beldon is only one part of a larger picture." Peter said.

"One disaster at a time, Mr. Chang." Seid said, patting Peter's shoulder.

A knock was heard at Sun's door.

Answering it, she saw Beldon.

"Beldon. I heard about your daughter. I'm so sorry." Sun said.

"May I come in?" Beldon asked.

"Sure." Sun said.

Beldon and Sun walked over into the living room.

"I have some news for you." Beldon said.

"For me? About what?" Sun asked.

"Your son, Peter." Beldon said.

"What about Peter?" Sun asked.

"He kidnapped my daughter." Beldon said.

Sun laughed.

"You're largely mistaken. Everyone knows it was The Quickster, or have you not been watching the News?" Sun asked.

"They are one in the same, Sun." Beldon revealed.

"What?" Sun asked.

"Peter is The Quickster." Beldon told her.

"Peter isn't - " Sun started. "Wait, Peter didn't show to Tyrone's graduation ceremony this afternoon. The same time The Quickster and Captain Magma kidnapped Melondy. My son... is The Quickster." Sun realized.

"He's gonna bring us all down, Sun." Beldon said.

Sun looked on in shock.

Chang Household

Sun walks into her living room.

"Oh, Peter..." Sun said, surprised.

"Hey, I got in late last night. Lost track of time at Kelp Labs." Peter said, muting the TV.

"Yeah, umm, I'm guessing that happens a lot these days?" Sun asked.

"Mom, is everything alright?" Peter asked.

"I'm fine. I just woke up, took a shower, and now I'm about to go cook breakfast." Sun said, on edge.

"Something's bothering you." Peter said, standing up.

"Perhaps you're right." Sun finally admitted.

"What's going on?" Peter asked.

"Peter, I know who you are." Sun blurted out.

Peter looked pale.

"What-what are you talking about?" Peter asked.

"THE QUICKSTER. You're The Quickster." Sun said.

Shelly's

Tyrone and Irene were seen sitting at the Diner.

"Last night was so much fun!" Irene said, wearing sunglasses.

"Yeah, I have the headache to prove it." Tyrone laughed.

"Well, that's why Shelly's tea is the perfect antidote." Irene said, sipping.

Tyrone sipped his tea as well.

"So, High School Grad... where to in the fall?" Irene asked.

"TBD." Tyrone said.

"I hope you at least got accepted into a few places." Irene said.

"Yeah, umm, Shale University and another school outside the city." Tyrone said.

"That's great!" Irene said, touching his hands.

Tyrone moved his hands.

"Did I do something wrong?" Irene asked.

"No, but I think I did. Dating you was the wrong move." Tyrone admitted.

"Wow, you really know how to lay it thick." Irene said, fiddling with her tea.

"I'm sorry, I just... I had to get this off my chest at last. You deserve better." Tyrone said.

"So, what's up?" Irene asked.

"I'm at a... paradox of sorts. I DO like you, but... I like someone else too." Tyrone revealed.

"You mean more." Irene said.

Tyrone sunk his head.

"No, don't feel bad or guilty. Look, I know that you like Peter." Irene said.

"I tried not too, but it didn't work." Tyrone said.

"Don't ever feel shame about being gay." Irene said.

"I'm not gay. I do like girls still. What I feel for Peter, though... it's on another level." Tyrone said, lighting up.

"Look at that smile of yours. Did it feel good to finally tell someone?" Irene asked, happily.

"Yeah." Tyrone laughed.

"I think I did something wrong too. I knew Peter liked you, and I dated you anyway to get at him." Irene said.

"Because of the timeline lie?" Tyrone asked.

"Yeah." Irene admitted.

"I think we both need to forgive each other. We had way too much fun at prom to hate each other the next day." Tyrone said, smiling.

"Deal." Irene said, nodding.

"You know that I'm The Quickster?" Peter asked Sun.

"Indeed." Sun said, visibly shaking.

"Who told you?" Peter asked.

"Does it matter?" Sun asked.

"WHO TOLD YOU?" Peter yelled at his mother.

"It was Beldon Dime, Peter." Sun revealed.

"How does he know?" Peter asked.

"He wouldn't reveal his sources, but he's been keeping tabs." Sun said.

"Yeah, and we BOTH know why." Peter said.

"What does that mean?" Sun asked.

"I know, mom. I know about the experiments on children that Paradye conducted in the 90s." Peter said.

"You were NEVER apart of those!" Sun yelled.

"LIAR! I have the list, MOM. I'm on it!" Peter yelled.

"Okay, FINE. But, you receiving powers couldn't have happened. I STOPPED the treatments on you before it got too far." Sun said.

"Well, it got far enough! Because, I can do THIS." Peter said, speeding into his Quickster outfit.

Sun appeared stunned.

"Yup. You were right. THIS is who I really am. Because of you." Peter said.

"Peter, I know you think Paradye is sketchy, but the truth is... we've been trying to counteract these powers and metas. We learned from the mistakes of our past." Sun said.

"Doesn't matter, because there are a bunch of millennial supervillains out there everyday wreaking havoc." Peter stated.

"Continue on this path, and you'll ruin Paradye's image. Is that what you want? For your mother to be out of a job? A career? Possibly lose my freedom?" Sun asked.

Peter couldn't look her in the eye.

"I need to go. But, think about these things. I don't know what Beldon will do if you continue to hold his daughter any longer." Sun said, leaving.

Peter changed back into his regular clothing, and headed into the backyard.

"Kwang... I wish you were here." Peter said, looking up at the sky. "I know I never appreciated the advice you gave me, but... I sure wish I had your words now." Peter continued.

Peter suddenly heard footsteps.

Turning around, Peter saw Tyrone enter the backyard.

"I saw your mom around front. She looked pretty upset and angry." Tyrone said.

"I will tell you why, but when we're all together. Me, you, Seid, and Irene." Peter said.

"Okay. Hope everything's okay." Tyrone said.

"Why are you here? I mean, I just thought you'd be resting after prom night." Peter laughed.

"Me and Irene went to get a tea at Shelly's." Tyrone said.

"Oh." Peter said.

"We broke things off." Tyrone revealed.

"Why are you telling me this?" Peter asked, frustrated.

"Because, all this time I've been too scared to face the truth. I like Irene, but not the way I like you." Tyrone said.

Peter laughed.

"I don't know what to say. Do you really mean this?" Peter asked.

"From the bottom of my heart. Even when I tried to ignore it." Tyrone said, nodding.

Peter kissed Tyrone.

"Wait, we can't." Tyrone said, stepping back.

"Why not?" Peter asked.

"Our parents are getting married in a few weeks. We're going to be brothers." Tyrone said.

"Step-brothers." Peter said, sharply.

"Same difference. And as long as that's true, we can never act on whatever is between us." Tyrone said.

"So why break up with Irene? Why tell me how you really feel?" Peter questioned.

"Because I was tired of living a lie." Tyrone said, quite simply.

Suddenly, the two got alerts from Seid.

"The professor." Peter said.

"Maybe you can tell everyone now about what's going on with your mother." Tyrone said.

Kelp Labs

Peter had finished telling Seid, Irene, and Tyrone about his mother and Beldon.

"I can't believe this. Your mother knows who you are." Tyrone said.

"Uh, WORSE - Beldon knows who you are!" Irene shouted.

"Relax guys. I don't think Beldon is going to try anything yet." Seid said.

"He already told Peter's mother his identity just because Peter kidnapped his supervillain daughter.' Irene said.

"Irene's right. Beldon will go to whatever lengths he can to get at Peter. Especially since he somehow knows Peter's secret." Tyrone said.

"I'm still trying to wrap my head around how he could of figured it was me. I'm on the Paradye List, but the treatments stopped far before a power could be selected for me." Peter said.

"So, how did the treatments end up giving you powers anyway?" Irene questioned.

"I'm not worried about that right now. Seid, why did you gather us all here?" Peter asked.

"Full analysis came back again, and Lady Quick and Melondy Dime are definitely the same people." Seid revealed.

"Let's confront Melondy again then? Maybe today she'll admit the truth at last." Peter said.

Suddenly, a whoosh was heard.

Lady Quick speeded into the room.

Team Quickster were shocked, as they all got on guard.

"HOW DID YOU ESCAPE?" Peter asked.

"So this is what you look like under the mask." Lady Quick said.

"He asked you a question." Tyrone said.

"Guys, I'm checking the live feed, and Melondy Dime is IN the prison room right now." Seid said, on the computer.

"So, who the hell are you?" Irene asked.

"Melondy Dime isn't Lady Quick... at least not yet." Lady Quick said, taking off her mask.

"Oh my god!" Tyrone said.

Lady Quick appeared to be Melondy.

"How do you look exactly like her?" Irene asked.

"Because Lady Quick IS Melondy. From the future." Seid said.

Melondy smiled, evilly.

Beldon's Office, Paradye Industries

"So, you confronted Peter?" Beldon asked.

"I did. He's got us all wrong." Sun said.

"He thinks we're the bad guys. Which is why he kidnapped my daughter. Claiming her to be some speedster, even though she was never subjected to the experiments." Beldon said.

"Beldon, I don't want you to hurt my boy." Sun pleaded.

"I just want one thing from Peter. Whether he dies before I get it or not... is completely up to him." Beldon said.

"Like I said. Don't you hurt him." Sun said, looking stern.

"Trust me, he can do more damage to us than we can to him." Beldon remarked.

"I will get him to tell me where your daughter is. I'll make him understand everything, I promise." Sun said.

"See to it that you do." Beldon said.

Kelp Labs

"You're correct. I am Melondy Dime from the year 2022." Lady Quick revealed.

"That's how you knew I time traveled... because you've done the same." Peter said.

"Why come back to 2017?" Seid asked.

"I went back in time in order to save the world." Lady Quick revealed.

"Why does the world need saving, Melondy?" Irene asked.

"In the timeline I come from, on June 16, 2017... Paradye will activate a machine that unleashes massive amounts of Quantum Energy all over the city." Melondy revealed.

"What happens after?" Tyrone asked.

"Every single person in New Kelp City gets superpowers." Lady Quick revealed.

"What?" Peter asked.

"You can't be serious? There's at least a million people in this city." Irene stated.

"Like I said... every single person. History calls this, the Metapocalypse." Lady Quick said.

"Why?" Peter asked.

"The meta's of New Kelp City went insane. The power literally went to everyone's heads. The metas headed outside the city, taking control over every single society on Earth. A massive world war raged. Death tolls? In the millions. Superheroes? Outnumbered and slaughtered. And this all starts the day Beldon recieved the Quantum Generator at the opening of the Technology Museum." Lady Quick revealed.

"That's why you stole from the museum. And I stupidly got in your way." Peter said.

"Exactly. So I tried to lure you out, but you ended up kidnapping my younger self." Lady Quick said.

"How did you know Melondy was here?" Irene asked.

"I'm receiving new memories from her." Lady Quick said.

"What do you want us to do?" Peter asked.

"You have to release Melondy. Today is the day that I receive my powers in the timeline I left. If you keep my past self locked up, you will interfere with this event and it will cause a paradox." Lady Quick explained.

"If your past self never gets superpowers, you never make the trip back to 2017." Irene said.

"Precisely, but since I've already meddled too long in the past, the sanctity of the space time continuum will rip. We'll lose both of our timelines." Melondy said.

"See, this is the danger of messing with time! Peter traveled back one day and changed significant events in the lives of people around him. You traveled back five years! Who knows what effect that took on history!" Seid yelled.

"I know, okay? I wasn't banking on seeing another speedster when I came back to 2017." Lady Quick said.

"Wait what?" Tyrone asked.

"I shouldn't of said - "

"No, continue. Please, Melondy." Peter begged.

"The Quickster did not exist in the timeline I left." Lady Quick said, emotionally.

Peter felt numb.

"I... think you need to let him sit with that." Irene said, approaching Lady Quick.

Peter took a seat.

"Melondy, how does your past self receive powers today?" Irene asked.

"I got sick the last week of school. Couldn't even go to prom with this boy who asked me. So, I was bored. I ended stumbling around in my dad's private chambers. He had a collection of books in his study. I pulled one, and just like the movies, a hidden door was revealed. I opened the door and entered the secret room. Inside I found strange vials, with the label 'Meta Juice'. As the stupid kid I was, I drank it." Lady Quick revealed.

"And you became Lady Quick." Tyrone said.

"I called myself 'Quickdime', but I guess Lady Quick works for this timeline." Lady Quick said.

"We'll release younger Melondy, and tell her what to do." Peter said, standing up.

"Until you do, I won't have the speed I need to time travel back to 2022. Because you interfered with my past.., my powers are slowly being drained until the course of my history is set back on the right track." Lady Quick said.

"What happens when you get back to 2022?" Irene asked.

"Time around me will instantly change. I'll return to a future where the Metapocalypse never occurred, because I'll have the Quantum Generator." Lady Quick explained.

Ten Minutes Later

Peter, Irene, and Tyrone are seen releasing younger Melondy from the Prison Cell.

"About damn time! Now, I wanna go home." Melondy said.

"And you will. But first, we need you to listen." Peter said.

"Are you him?" Melondy questioned.

"That doesn't matter. When you go home, you need to go into your father's private study. You'll find a hidden door, and you need to go in and drink one of the vials of liquid in the room." Peter said.

"This is insane. What the hell are you talking about?" Melondy asked.

"If you don't, it'll create a paradox!" Tyrone said.

"You all sound CRAZY!" Melondy said.

Suddenly, Lady Quick entered the prison room.

"Oh good, another freak." Melondy said.

Lady Quick pulled off her mask.

"Oh my god." Melondy said, in disbelief.

"I am you from the year 2022. I didn't intend to show myself to you, but this is dire. You MUST do as they say, or else a lot of bad things will happen." Lady Quick pleaded.

"Why does dad have vials of liquid hidden in a secret room?" Melondy asked.

"Because he's not the man you thought he was. You'll discover the truth. If you go." Lady Quick said, shedding a tear.

Back upstairs, Seid was seen making a secret phone call.

"Beldon, are you home? No? Well, you need to hurry there - and FAST. There's a little twist in the tale that you need to know about." Seid said, getting ready to explain.

Beldon Dime's Home

Melondy was seen entering her father's study.

"It's all too ridiculous. It can't be true..." Melondy whispered to herself.

Tapping around on some books, she managed to activate the opening of the hidden door.

"Daddy, what the hell is going on?" Melondy asked, afraid to enter.

Melondy turned the knob, entering the room.

Inside the room she found boxes of chemicals on a flat table.

Pulling out a vial, it read 'Meta Juice'.

Melondy remembered the words of Peter.

"...When you go home, you need to go into your father's private study. You'll find a hidden door, and you need to go in and drink one of the vials of liquid in the room." Peter said.

Melondy lowered the vial, but then had another memory.

"I am you from the year 2022. I didn't intend to show myself to you, but this is dire. You MUST do as they say, or else a lot of bad things will happen." Lady Quick pleaded.

Suddenly, Melondy heard footsteps.

"MELONDY!" Beldon shouted from behind.

"Dad!" Melondy said, turning around.

"Drop the vial, sweetie!" Beldon said.

"Daddy, what is this stuff?" Melondy asked.

"I made some bad choices. I tried covering them up." Beldon said.

"The metas that have been attacking the city these last few months. It was you. Paradye did this, correct?" Melondy asked, angry with her father.

"Correct." Beldon said, shedding a tear.

"I can't believe this. Did you... did you experiment on people?" Melondy asked, wiping her own tears.

"I thought I saw a brighter future for the world. So, I went about things the wrong way." Beldon said.

"I'll tell everyone what you've done!" Melondy said, shaking.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I can't let that happen." Beldon said, pulling out a gun.

"DAD!" Melondy yelled.

Beldon raised his gun, shooting Melondy through her head.

Beldon watched as his teenage daughter hit the ground, with the vial dropping out of her hands and breaking on the floor.

"NOOOOOOOO!" Beldon cried, grabbing up his daughter's body. 

Melondy Dime was dead.

Kelp Labs

Irene walked over to Peter, who was sitting against the wall on the hallway floor.

"Peter, are you okay?" Irene asked.

"If you consider 'okay' a relative term." Peter said, sighing.

"I broke up with Tyrone. I realize I was trying to hurt you for lying to me about my mother's survival in the original timeline." Irene said.

"I know. Tyrone told me." Peter said.

"I guess that doesn't help how you feel right now." Irene said.

"I was just told that my whole existence is possibly an aberration of history. How do you think I feel?" Peter asked.

"Yeah, but as The Quickster... not Peter Chang." Irene said.

"I'm beginning to find it hard to consider the difference." Peter said.

"GUYS! GUYS!" Tyrone screamed, rushing into the hall.

"What's happened?" Irene asked.

"Ty, what's up?" Peter asked.

"It's Lady Quick, something's happening to her!" Tyrone said.

Tyrone, Irene, and Peter rushed back into the Main Room.

Kelp Labs

Melondy's body is sen shaking and rumbling on a medical table, as Irene tries to help her.

"Irene, you have to do something!" Peter said.

"We're losing her!" Tyrone said.

"I KNOW, I KNOW! GIVE ME HEADSPACE." Irene said.

Peter and Tyrone exited into the main room.

Seid arrived.

"What's happened?" Seid asked.

"Lady Quick went into some kind of bodily shock. She suddenly had an open wound that started bleeding." Tyrone revealed.

"Well that sounds odd." Seid said.

"Something about this is off." Peter said.

"What are you saying?" Seid asked.

"There must be some kind of interference with her timeline!" Peter said.

"Let's not jump to conclusions just yet." Seid said, knowing fully well of the truth.

Irene exited the medical room.

"Irene, how is she?" Peter asked.

"The best I could do was stabilize her." Irene said.

"Where did that wound come from?" Tyrone questioned.

"It looked like a gun shot wound." Irene said.

"How?" Peter asked.

"Something must of changed in Melondy's timeline." Irene said.

Tyrone hopped on the computer.

"Oh my god... I think I know what." Tyrone said.

The gang huddled around him.

"The deceased body of Melondy Dime was found twenty minutes ago by the New Kelp City docks. It is assumed that she was shot to death by an unknown assailant. Just earlier this week, Melondy was reported to have been kidnapped by two superheroes known as Captain Magma and The Quickster." Tyrone read.

The team gasped.

"I can't believe this." Irene said.

"It was Beldon. He KILLED his own daughter!" Peter yelled.

"Why would he do that?" Seid asked.

"He must of known she'd find his secret room." Peter said.

"But that didn't happen in the timeline Lady Quick came from." Tyrone said.

"No, but we've seen before when you time traveled, that.. not everything happens the same way in the new timeline." Irene said, addressing Peter.

"Right." Peter said.

"What if the public thinks The Quickster did this to Melondy?" Tyrone asked.

"I was worried about that too." Peter said, sighing.

"Not now guys. Melondy's past self just died. How do we tell her?" Irene asked.

"You mean, how do we tell her that she's going to be erased from history?" Seid questioned.

"... When you put it that way..." Irene said, rolling her eyes.

"Guys..." Tyrone said.

Everyone noticed Melondy entering the room.

"Melondy, you should not be standing right now." Irene said.

"Tell me." Melondy said.

"Tell you what?" Irene asked.

"TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!" Melondy yelled.

The team remained silent.

Melondy began to shed tears.

"What happened? Please!" Melondy begged, breaking down into tears.

Irene held her as she sunk to the floor.

Beldon's Office, Paradye

Sun arrived at Beldon's office.

"Beldon, I just saw the News. Please tell me that Peter didn't - "

"No, Sun. I did." Beldon said.

"You murdered your own daughter?" Sun asked.

"The female speedster that was running around turned out to be my daughter from five years down the timeline." Beldon revealed.

"This doesn't make sense." Sun said.

"Time travel never does." Beldon remarked.

"I didn't sign up for any of this!" Sun said.

"Too bad, you're apart of it now." Beldon said.

Beldon got a phone call.

"My wife. Likely to tell me about Melondy's death." Beldon said.

"She doesn't know what a piece of shit you are." Sun said.

"I'll be right back. Gotta take this." Beldon said, walking outside the room.

Sun looked at Beldon's desktop computer.

"Hmmm..." Sun thought to herself.

Kelp Labs

Melondy was seen back in bed in the medical room.

"My own father... murdered me." Melondy said.

"Beldon's smart. He likely didn't leave a lot of evidence." Seid said.

"I'm receiving memories of my death. Beldon did this." Melondy confirmed.

"Son of a bitch." Peter said.

"Why hasn't this Melondy disappeared yet?" Tyrone asked.

"Irene stabilized her, meaning that she'll hang around for a bit as a time remnant, but she'll disappear soon." Seid announced.

"He's right." Melondy said, nearing tears again.

"We can't let that happnen." Irene said.

"Nothing we can do. We can't fight time." Seid said.

"Unless we can..." Peter said.

"What do you mean?" Seid asked.

"This Melondy is from another timeline. Maybe this paradox won't be able to touch her due to that?" Peter asked.

"But our timeline is still this Melondy's origin story." Seid said.

"I also don't have my speed anymore. I can feel it. The paradox has reached me already." Melondy said.

"Well, look.. do NOT get up again, or un-hook yourself from this machine. It'll just speed up the process." Irene said.

"Alright." Melondy said, nodding. 

"We can't let Beldon get away with this." Tyrone said.

"What do you suggest we do?" Irene asked.

"Expose Paradye. Finally bring this into the light, and let Beldon face justice." Tyrone said.

"NO." Seid yelled.

"...Professor? Why are you so against this?" Peter asked.

Seid looked nervous.

"Uh.. because we're playing with fire! Beldon found out that you kidnapped his daughter and what does he do? He tells your mother. If we expose Paradye, then he'll go to greater extremes." Seid said.

"Professor's right. I mean, Beldon is unpredictable. He shot his own daughter." Irene said.

"I'm still hereee." Melondy said.

"Sorry. I know you don't want to hear all this." Irene said.

"I just wanna be alone." Melondy said, turning over.

The gang left the medical room.

"How long does she have, Irene?" Tyrone asked.

"I simply don't know. Hours? days?" Irene suggested.

Seid stepped into the hallway.

"Where's he going." Tyrone asked.

"Look, I know Seid disagrees, but it's time we exposed Beldon once and for all. Besides, Tyrone's already broken through Paradye mainframes." Peter said.

"Took me all these months, but everything on Paradye... I can leak now." Tyrone said.

"At least not today, guys." Irene said.

In the hall, Seid speaks over the phone to Beldon.

"THEY WANNA LEAK ME?" Beldon asked.

"...Look, I convinced them against it." Seid said.

"How could you let them hack through Paradye, anyway?" Beldon questioned.

"It was a necessary evil. Peter needed the Paradye List to get informed on these metas and defeat them. I was training him, Beldon." Seid said.

"You never told me for what." Beldon said.

"You're daughter." Seid said.

"What? Anyhow, Melondy is dead." Beldon said.

"But her future self - Lady Quick, still has a few hours or days left in existence. The only good thing is that her speed is gone." Seid informed him.

"It's time I handle your little Team Quickster." Beldon said.

"What do you mean?" Seid asked.

"They're a problem I can no longer tolerate. They'll all die before they expose me." Beldon said, hanging up.

Seid looked unnerved.

Coral Street, New Kelp City

Beldon pulls up in front of a small house on Coral Street.

Steeping out his car, he sees a man peek through the house window blinds.

Beldon knocks on the door.

"Come on, Jordan! I know you're in there!" Beldon shouted.

The man opened the door.

"Jordan Wafer, nice to see you again." Beldon said.

"I guess you can tell I've been avoiding you." Jordan said, letting him inside.

"I don't know why. You were the first meta I was able to track down a few months ago from my list. After that, we got along well when I told you I could help you manage your abilities." Beldon said.

"Yes, and you were very kind to me. Doesn't make up for the fact that you forcibly experimented on me when I was a baby." Jordan said. 

"I get the feeling that's not what you're mad about." Beldon said.

"Your daughter is dead... now you're here seeing me? Makes me a little skeptical." Jordan said.

"Of what?" Beldon asked.

"What your life does to people." Jordan said.

"Jordan, I gave you a gift. Now, I come to ask if you could repay me by using that gift." Beldon said.

"A gift I didn't ask for." Jordan stated.

"Very true. So, I shall offer you another gift. One you'll have a choice in accepting." Beldon said.

"What's your new gift?" Jordan asked.

"More of an offer, really. I am willing to pay you five grand if you take out a few people..." Beldon asked.

"A few people like who?" Jordan asked.

"Three teenagers that work at Kelp Labs." Beldon said.

"Kelp Labs, how am I supposed to get into there?" Jordan questioned.

"Your powers, Jordan." Beldon said, rolling his eyes.

Jordan let out a spark of electricity.

"...Right." Jordan said, slightly smiling.

Kelp Labs

"I just checked on Melondy again, and she's holding well." Irene said.

"Hmm." Seid said.

"That's good, that's good." Peter said.

"Maybe we can find a way to maintain her for good?" Tyrone asked.

"I'll think of something. Me and Seid." Irene said, looking to Seid.

"Ya know what, we should do that now. Maybe go to Shelly's and discuss it?" Seid asked.

"Or the Lab Room." Irene said, laughing.

"No, no, no, my treat." Seid said.

"Really, we should just stay here. If we come up with something, we'll be right inside the Lab and ready to begin working." Irene said.

"But.. well.. okay. I'll meet ya there." Seid said, walking out.

"Why was he so adamant about getting out of here with me?" Irene asked, laughing.

"Maybe that was his way of asking you out." Peter teased.

Tyrone laughed, as Irene made a disgusted face.

"Okay, for one.. he's like a dad to me. And for TWO, he's like a gazillion years older than me!" Irene stressed.

Suddenly the lights at Kelp Labs turned off.

"What the hell?" Tyrone said.

"All the electricity in the building is out." Seid said, rushing back into the room.

"This is weird." Peter said.

"Yeah, this has never happened before." Irene said.

"I'll.. uh, check the basement. Get the power back on." Peter said, speeding off.

"I hope everything's alright." Tyrone said.

"Of course it is." Seid said, nervously.

Peter arrived down in the basement.

He pulled out a flashlight to get a better view.

"Too dark for you? How about I light things up!" a voice was heard.

Jordan stepped out of a corner, sparking yellow electricity from his hands.

"Who the hell are you?" Peter asked.

"Your slayer." Jordan said.

"That was lame. Now, I suggest you leave the way you came in. You don't want to piss me off." Peter said.

"Oh, I don't?" Jordan asked.

"You have no idea what I'm capable of." Peter said, intensely.

"Of course I do, Quickster." Jordan said.

Peter's eyes widened.

"Beldon Dime told me all about you and your friends. Oh, and he asked me to tell you something." Jordan said.

"What's that?" Peter asked.

"REST IN PEACE!" Jordan shouted, emitting severe bolts of electricity at Peter.

Peter's body surged into the air as he felt electricity race through his veins.

"Bye, Bye, Quickie!" Jordan said, dropping Peter's body into some crates.

Back upstairs, Irene confronted Seid.

"Professor, do you know something that we don't?" Irene questioned.

"What? Why would you say that?" Seid asked.

"You were pretty eager to get me out of here. Now, this happens." Irene said.

"Irene, chill. Ever heard of a 'coincidence'? They do exist." Tyrone said, defending Seid.

"OH MY GOD, MELONDY." Irene said, thinking of Melondy.

The three ran into the medical room, where they saw Melondy's body beginning to fade.

"WHAT'S HAPPENING?" Tyrone asked.

"SHE'S BEGINNING TO FADE. If we don't get the power back on, she'll erase from this timeline NOW." Irene cautioned.

"Where is Peter?" Tyrone asked.

"I hear something." Irene said.

The three ran back into the Main Room, where Jordan was seen approaching them.

"Who the hell are you?" Irene questioned.

"He must be a meta. He did this." Seid said.

"Yes, I did." Jordan said, releasing electricity from his hands.

"WHERE'S PETER?" Tyrone asked, emotionally.

"Don't worry. You'll all be joining him!" Jordan said, sparking electricity at them.

The three screamed, as they jumped out of the way.

Tyrone crawled over to the corner of the room.

Irene grabbed a loose pipe, running with it towards Jordan.

Jordan zapped the pipe with electricity, which stunned Irene.

Irene fell to the ground, slightly unconscious.

"Say goodbye, little girl!" Jordan said, shooting out electricity at her.

Seid jumped in between, taking all the electricity.

"IDIOT!" Jordan said.

"SEID!" Tyrone screamed.

Suddenly, Jordan and Tyrone heard a whoosh.

Tyrone smiled.

Peter speeded into the room, donning his Quickster outfit.

"What the hell? I thought I killed you!" Jordan said.

"No. You charged ME UP!" Peter said, speeding to Jorda.

Peter landed several speed punches on Jordan.

Nextly, Peter speeded around him at an unbelievable rate, creating a mini whirlpool.

Jordan's body lifted up, as Peter stopped speeding.

Jordan hit the floor, as Peter began running in a circle again.

As Peter stopped, he threw out a powerful electric blast at Jordan's body.

Jordan's body was seen fizzling, as he was overloaded with electricity.

"NOOOO!" Jordan screamed, as his physical body turned into electricity, and went into the building's technical systems.

All the power and lights turned back on.

"Oh my god, did you just kill him?" Tyrone asked.

"His own fault." Peter said, rushing to Tyrone on the floor.

"I was so worried about you." Tyrone said, looking into Peter's eyes.

"I'm fine. We both are." Peter smiled, touching his face.

"..Guys.." Irene said.

"Irene, are you okay?" Peter asked, as he and Tyrone stood up.

"The guy stunned Irene, but Seid jumped in the way before he could blast her with electricity." Tyrone said.

Irene bent down near Seid.

"Seid! Seid!" Irene cried out.

An Hour Later

Irene comes out of the med room.

"How's Seid and Melondy?" Tyrone asked.

"Seid is still out, but brain activity is good." Irene said.

"...Melondy?" Peter asked.

"Right. She's no longer fading away, but if the power stayed off any longer, we could of lost her right then and there." Irene said.

"What do you guys think happened to Outage?" Tyrone asked.

"You named him, Outage?" Irene asked, nearly laughing.

"He's on the Paradye List." Peter said, looking at the monitor.

"Actual name?" Irene asked, playfully rolling her eyes at Tyrone.

"Jordan Wafer. Intended abilities: electrokinesis." Peter said.

"I think when you overloaded him with electricity, his molecular structure became unbalanced and just.. erupted." Irene said.

"Well, luckily his death gave the building it's power back." Peter said.

"Luckily?" Tyrone asked.

"For lack of a better word." Peter said.

"Guys, I think we're missing the point. Peter said that Beldon sent Jordan after us." Irene said.

"Come on, Outage sounds cooler!" Tyrone said.

"Tyrone! Giving them all names GLORIFIES their violence!" Irene stressed. 

"GUYS! Please. Let's focus here." Peter said.

"If Beldon did send Outage after us, he must know we put his daughter up to snooping on him." Tyrone said.

"Possibly. I mean, he already knows Peter's The Quickster, which is justification enough for him to try and kill us." Irene said.

"I just feel like something isn't adding up." Peter said.

"Me too, if we're being honest." Irene said, looking over into the Medical Room at Seid's body.

"That's it. Beldon doesn't get away with trying to murder the people I care about." Peter said.

"What does that mean?" Tyrone asked.

"Tyrone, I want you to leak Paradye." Peter said.

"Peter!" Irene raised her voice.

"You know this is the last card we have left against him. He'll just come after us again, and WHO KNOWS what he'll have up his sleeve next." Peter said.

"Fine. Do it." Irene said, looking at Tyrone.

Tyrone hopped onto the computer.

"Here we go." Tyrone said.

Team Quickster is watching a Live News report.

"As officers continue their investigation into Paradye firms, buildings, and associates, Beldon Dime maintains that the recent leaks are completely fabricated. More information is expected to be arriving soon. This is Perch Perkins, over and out." Perch Perkins said, ending his story.

"I can't BELIEVE you guys did this!" Seid yelled.

Peter, Irene, and Tyrone turned around.

"Beldon sent a meta to kill us two days ago, or have you forgotten?" Peter barked.

"NO, I haven't. But, I also remember us agreeing that we wouldn't leak Paradye yet. When did you guys decide different?" Seid asked.

"While you were unconscious from the lightning blast you took for me." Irene said.

"Why are you so upset? Beldon is getting what's coming to him!" Peter said.

"He'll get out of it." a voice was heard.

Melondy was seen walking into the room.

"Melondy, you should be in your medical bed." Irene said.

"If time chooses to erase me, I'm not gonna fight it anymore." Melondy said.

Irene nodded.

"Beldon will get out of this, because he's just that good. Instead of leaking him, you need to be focused on preventing the Metapocalypse." Melondy told them. 

Peter's phone got an alert.

"A text from my mom.." Peter said.

"You haven't been home since we leaked Paradye, have you?" Irene guessed.

"No. Couldn't look her in the face." Peter said.

"What does she want?" Seid asked.

"She said she's coming here." Peter said.

"Looks like your phone got my text a little too late." a voice was heard.

Sun was seen walking into Kelp Labs.

"Mom, why are you here?" Peter asked.

"I knew it was you and your friends who leaked Paradye." Sun said.

"Come here to rant? Complain?" Irene asked.

"No. I came here to provide help." Sun said.

Everyone looked stunned.

Beldon Dime's House

Beldon and his wife were seen in their bedroom.

"How are you today?" Beldon asked, walking in.

Beldon had a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates.

"Flowers and chocolates?" Marissa asked, wiping her eyes.

"You've been... upset lately." Beldon said.

"UPSET? My daughter was found DEAD, and my husband is being investigated for illegal CHILD EXPERIMENTATION." Marissa shouted.

"I told you that none of it is true." Beldon said.

"What about our daughter?" Marissa asked.

"What?" Beldon asked.

"Was it you? Did you kill Melondy?" Marissa asked.

"Are you insane!? What kind of man do you think I am?" Beldon asked.

"One who will go to GREAT LENGTHS to cover his shit!" Marissa yelled.

"The Quickster was the one who-"

"- SAVE IT. It doesn't make sense. I know it, and so do you." Marissa said.

"So what happens now?" Beldon asked.

"Now? Now I'm leaving." Marissa said.

"Marissa.." Beldon tried to touch her.

"Don't! Please. I need to be alone to pack." Marissa said.

"Where are you going?" Beldon asked.

"With my mother for a little while. Maybe forever." Marissa said.

"If I prove to you that I'm innocent-"

"- You won't." Marissa said to him.

Beldon nodded, leaving out.

Kelp Labs

Sun pulled out a thumb drive.

"What's that?" Seid asked.

"I got it from Beldon's computer while he stepped out to make a call. Information on a top secret project he's conducting." Sun said.

"Why are you helping us?" Irene asked.

"All I ever wanted to do was to fix Paradye's mistakes. To make things better. But, it seems like Beldon's about to make everything a whole lot worse." Sun said.

"Thank you, mom." Peter said.

Melondy snatched the drive.

"Melondy, what are you..." Peter said, seeing her walk over to the computer.

The contents of the drive were now on the monitor, as Seid face palmed.

"Just as I thought. The Quantum Machine is a go." Melondy said.

"That's a big machine." Tyrone said.

"And tomorrow Beldon will set it off." Melondy said, looking at the calender.

"No, no he won't. You're forgetting, I have the Quantum Generator. Beldon can't activate the machine without it." Peter said.

"Meaning that the Metapocalypse will never come to be." Irene said.

"In this timeline. But, in order to change my own and prevent a paradox, I NEED to have the QG." Melondy said.

"Can't we just destroy it?" Irene asked.

"NO, that will make things worse." Melondy said.

"Why?" Tyrone asked.

"If the Quantum Generator is destroyed in 2017, then the 2022 version of me won't travel back here." Melondy said.

"Which will cause another paradox." Irene said, sighing.

"We're already working on one. Lets not add another." Melondy said.

"Peter, it's time for you to tell us where the QG is." Seid said.

"Honestly... it's under my bed." Peter said.

Tyrone let out a laugh.

"The mcguffin of which the universe's well-being depends on... is under the bed of a teenage boy's messy room?" Seid asked.

"Pretty much." Peter said.

"You need to get it." Melondy said.

"But you can't make it to the future, can you?" Peter asked.

"I can. Ask Irene." Melondy said.

Everyone looked at Irene.

"I may have made a little something." Irene said.

"Okay, be right back." Peter said, racing off with his speed.

Peter arrived inside his bedroom, but found Professor Seid already there.

".. Professor? Is that you?" Peter asked.

Seid turned around, with the Quantum Generator in hand.

"How.. how did you get here so fast? Before me?" Peter questioned, losing his mind.

"That's simple, Peter. I ran." Seid said, smiling.

Peter's eyes widened.

"You're a meta." Peter said.

Seid began to vibrate his body at a fast rate.

"A speedster." Seid revealed.

"It all makes sense now. How Beldon was one step ahead of us about Melondy. YOU are his leak!" Peter yelled, getting emotional.

"That's right. Me and Beldon are working side by side." Seid revealed.

"This entire time. You used me and my friends. You didn't care about us!" Peter said.

"Sorry, Peter... but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do." Seid said.

"What are you talking about? Why are you doing this?" Peter asked.

"Because my timeline is in danger." Seid said.

"Wait what?" Peter asked.

"I come from the far future of the timeline Lady Quick left. The year 2117, to be exact. In 2117, the weak have perished, and everyone in the world has powers. I am the ruler of the world, known as Quickseid. The quickest man alive." Seid explained.

"When Melondy left 2022, she interrupted that future, didn't she?" Peter asked.

"Yes she did. So, I made contingencies to counteract Melondy's actions in returning to 2016. I went back to the year 1990 and worked my way through the ranks of this... less advanced society. I introduced Beldon to future technology, and got him to create Paradye." Seid continued.

"You wanted him to create metas - so that this future of yours could be set in stone." Peter guessed.

"You catch on quick." Seid said, winking.

"Only problem? Your future is about to be erased forever." Peter said.

"And how is that?" Seid asked.

"How? By me taking the Quantum Generator out of your hands!" Peter said.

"If you can catch me, Quickster!" Seid said, running out of the room at an incredible speed.

Peter chased after him with his super speed.

The two sped out of the house and down the street, with the power of their speed energy destroying all glass in their vicinity, including car windows, store windows, and more.

Peter screamed as he felt his speed eating him alive.

Seid seemingly disappeared into a bright flash, as Peter stopped running.

Peter had ended up on a field outside of town, with a huge portion of his clothes burned off.

"Shit!" Peter said.

Kelp Labs

Peter returns to Kelp Labs, sporting his Quickster outfit.

"Guys!" Peter yelled.

Sun, Melondy, and Tyrone looked distraught.

"Wha- what's wrong?" Peter asked.

"It's Seid. He has super speed." Tyrone said.

"When you left, he knocked us all down and took Irene." Sun revealed.

"... But you don't seem surprised." Melondy said.

"When I went to get the QG, Seid was there in my bedroom. He took it, and I chased him. He UNBELIEVABLY faster than me." Peter said.

"Tell us everything you know." Tyrone said.

Peter explained everything to the three, as they began to process the information.

"So, Seid is from the timeline I left. The one I sought out to change?" Melondy asked for clarification.

"Yes. If we don't prevent that timeline from happening... then Quickseid will become the ruler of the entire world in 2117." Peter said.

"Yeah, not to mention 2117 is gonna be a world where everyone is a meta!" Tyrone said.

"We can stop this." Peter said.

"How? Seid has the QG, and is probably giving it to my father." Melondy said.

"I still can't believe it. Beldon Dime's speedster daughter from the future." Sun said.

"Please don't gush over me. This is all my fault." Melondy said.

Kelp Labs received a video transmission.

"Guys, a transmission." Tyrone said.

Tyrone accepted, as the four tuned in.

"Hello, Peter." Seid said.

"SEID! WHERE IS SHE?" Peter asked about Irene.

Seid appeared to be in a dark lit room.

"She's fine. For now. Interfere with me and Beldon's plans tomorrow, and I will kill Irene." Seid said.

"You don't have to do this!" Peter said.

"Sorry, Peter, but my future is literally on the line. All I'm doing is cementing it." Seid remarked.

"You're gonna ruin everything, Seid!" Peter said.

"This was MEANT to happen. You and Melondy can't change destiny. What's fast, Peter... is prologue." Seid said, smiling evilly.

The video transmission ended.

"Did you get a trace, Tyrone?" Sun asked.

"No. Seid covered the location good." Tyrone said.

"How do we stop this?" Peter asked.

"I train you to be quick enough to face him." Melondy said.

"But your powers are gone, and you could disappear at any moment." Peter said.

"We were waiting until you got back... but, Irene made this." Tyrone said, pulling a syringe out of a drawer.

"What is that?" Sun asked.

"Remember when Outage attacked Kelp Labs?" Tyrone asked Peter.

"Yes. He electrocuted the crap out of me." Peter said.

"... And in turn, he powered your cells." Tyrone said.

"Oh my god. That's why Irene wanted a blood sample from me the other day." Peter said, piecing it together.

"Your blood cells in here have TWICE the normal amount of speed within your system. Irene thought that this could be used to jump start Melondy's powers again." Tyrone said.

"Maybe it could even help me to remain in this timeline for a longer period." Melondy said.

"Are you sure this is what you want?" Peter asked.

"I didn't run five years into the past to lose now." Melondy said.

Melondy sat in a chair, rolled up her sleeves, and let Tyrone inject her with the speed cocktail.

Melondy's eyes had a spark of yellow lightning running through them, as her body began to vibrate.

Melondy quickly changed into her Lady Quick outfit.

"You're BACK!" Peter said, excitedly.

"... And Quickseid's going down!" Melondy said, grinning.

After a few moments, Peter and Melondy arrived inside the Speed Lab to train.

"Nice thing you got here, Quickster." Melondy said.

"Yeah, hoping you can show me a thing or two in here." Peter said.

"I am pretty quick." Melondy said.

Peter got a saddened look on his face.

"What is it?" Melondy asked.

"I just keep thinking. You said that I didn't exist in the timeline you left." Peter said.

"I said, The Quickster didn't exist." Melondy said.

"I know! I just... I'm wondering how that's possible." Peter said.

"Traveling through time has serious consequences on history." Melondy said.

"So you're saying that you created me?" Peter asked.

"I'm saying that history may have changed the circumstances of your life... of your destiny. If that's my fault, then so be it. But, we have to keep looking forward. Not wondering what could of been, or what should be." Melondy said.

"Did you tell that to yourself before you traveled five years into the past to prevent a future you didn't like?" Peter asked.

"What are you saying here?" Melondy asked.

"That maybe Seid is right. Maybe we can't stop destiny." Peter said.

"The thing about the future is that it is always changing. Mine as well change for the better." Melondy stated.

Peter nodded.

"Alright, I want to show you an advanced move." Melondy said.

"What is it?" Peter asked.

"Temporal duplication." Melondy said, with a smile.

Peter looked utterly confused.

Chang Household

Sun is seen sitting in her living room, as she hears the doorbell.

Opening the door, she sees Ray.

"Ray, you're back from your business conference." Sun said.

"Just in time to hear some news. About Paradye." Ray said, looking disgusted.

"You don't know everything." Sun said, letting him in.

"The woman I wanted to marry is working for a corporation that subjected children to illegal experimentation." Ray said.

"It's true, okay?" Sun said.

"So why is Paradye lying?" Ray asked.

"A lot is going on that I can't explain right now. But, just know that I am no longer gonna be apart of the chaos." Sun said.

"What does that mean?" Ray asked.

"Beldon is gonna get his just desserts. I promise that." Sun said.

"How can you promise it?" Ray asked.

"I'm working with some people to bring him down. And we will." Sun stated.

Ray looked curious.

Paradye

Irene was seen tied up in Beldon's office at Paradye.

Seid walks into the room.

"Let me go!" Irene yelled.

"Please don't be angered with me." Seid said.

"Let me out of these binds, and I'll think about it." Irene said, angrily.

"Can't do that." Seid said.

"Paradye has already been put on close for investigation. The cops will find out that you, Beldon, and your team of mechanics are here." Irene said.

"Nothing will interfere with our work on the Quantum Machine. Especially now that we have the Quantum Generator." Seid said.

"Except Peter. He'll take you down, like the decieving bastard you are." Irene yapped.

"I wouldn't count on that. I told Peter I'd kill you if he interferes." Seid said.

Irene's eyes widened.

"You'd kill me?" Irene asked.

"I admit that after all of this... the one thing I do regret, is hurting you. You're like a daughter to me." Seid said.

"I'm not your daughter!" Irene spoke, nearing tears.

"Fine. Protégé." Seid said.

"Not even that. Because, I'll never be like you." Irene said, intensely.

"Oh, I'm from the future, Irene. I know what you're destined to be." Seid said, smiling.

"What are you talking about?" Irene asked.

"Me and you don't turn out to be too much different. I can promise you that." Seid said, touching her face.

Irene caught a shiver.

Kelp Labs

The following afternoon, we see Peter and Melondy meeting with Tyrone in the main room.

"Did you two get any sleep last night?" Tyrone asked.

"Not a lick. Peter has to be ready to face Quickseid." Melondy said.

"I wish I could of named. I would of went with something likeeee.... Darkseid." Tyrone said.

Peter rolled his eyes.

"What? He's literally become an evil madman overnight." Tyrone said.

"No, he was evil all along. As much as it hurts to admit." Peter said.

"Why can't you guys race over to Paradye right now and stop the completion of the machine?" Tyrone asked.

"Because it has to be precisely timed. If we're too early, there will be a paradox." Melondy said.

"... But if you're too late..." Tyrone asked.

"... Then the timeline I came from will cement and become the future. I will have failed." Melondy said.

"That won't happen, alright?" Peter said to her.

"Yeah, I'm hoping not." Melondy said.

"I hear someone coming." Tyrone said.

Sun had arrived.

"You didn't come home last night." Sun said to Peter.

"Training. To beat Seid." Peter said.

"Right. Uh, so... what's the plan?" Sun asked.

"Sun, thanks to you and the information you collected from Beldon's computer, I was able to look at the technical blueprint of the Quantum Machine." Tyrone revealed.

"Well, you're welcome. But, how is that helpful?" Sun asked.

"I built a device that will disrupt the Quantum Machine. Basically, a reverse Quantum Generator." Tyrone said.

Tyrone pulled out a small device.

"Okay, so all we need to do is plant that on the machine when the time comes." Melondy said.

"That will be my job." Tyrone said.

"What?" Melondy asked.

"You and Peter will battle Seid, and clear the way for me." Tyrone said.

"Melondy, in your timeline, this machine went off on top of the main Paradye building?" Peter asked.

"Yes." Melondy confirmed.

"If we're busy battling Seid, then how will you get up there?" Peter asked.

"I called a friend of ours." Tyrone said, smirking.

Peter looked confused.

Suddenly, Lily Orca teleported into the room.

"LILY?" Peter asked, shocked.

"... Or as Tyrone likes to call me... Quick Shift." Lily said, with a smile.

"Isn't this the meta who was kidnapping children?" Sun asked.

"I talked her out of that and then she left town." Peter said.

"But, I managed to find her by expanding the search beacon for her quantum-based powers." Tyrone said, feeling smart.

"And you've been conversing with her ever since?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. Convinced her that she could be a superhero." Tyrone said, proudly.

"Tyrone helped me through a dark place. So, thank him for that." Lily said.

"Well, I guess my little speech did nothing." Peter said.

"Of course it did. I thank you too. You both helped me onto a better path. Now I'm here to pay that forward." Lily said.

"Tyrone tell you what we're up against?" Melondy asked.

"Yes. I'm responsible for teleporting him on top of Paradye's roof when the time comes." Lily said.

"Great, everyone knows their roles." Peter said.

"Peter, can I talk to you?" Sun asked.

"Yeah, sure." Peter said.

Peter and Irene stepped into the hallway.

"Hey, I know it's gonna take me a long time to earn your forgiveness, but.. for Kwang's sake, I hope you don't turn your back on me forever." Sun said. 

"Do you see my back? No. Because it's not turned." Peter stated, humorously.

Sun smiled, hugging her son.

"I love you so much." Sun said, shedding tears.

"I know." Peter said, nodding his head.

Paradye

As night approached, Beldon and Seid were seen walking up onto Paradye's roof.

"Are you ready for your whole world to change?" Seid asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be." Beldon stated, feeling confident.

A team of Paradye engineers were working on the Quantum Machine.

"Should be ready to go in less than ten minutes." an engineer said.

"Good." Beldon said.

Irene was seen tied up in rope, sitting at the corner of the roof.

Seid approached her, taking the tape off her mouth.

"You have to stop what you're doing!" Irene cried out.

"Tonight, my future as the supreme ruler of this planet will be set in stone. So no, I won't stop what I'm doing." Seid told her.

Irene shook her head in disgust.

"You should be happy! I'm giving you a front row seat to the biggest world-changing event in all of history!" Seid said.

"This will destroy the world." Irene said.

Suddenly, police sirens were heard, as dozens of cop cars showed up.

Commissioner Daley was seen holding a loudspeaker.

"BELDON DIME, WE ORDER YOU AND YOUR EMPLOYEES TO EVACUATE THE PREMISES." Daley called out.

Seid went over to Beldon.

"Don't worry, we have all the power here on this room. Those officers are nothing." Beldon said.

"COME DOWN NOW, OR YOU WILL ALL BE ARRESTED." Daley said through the loudspeaker.

"Seid, it's time for you to get... dressed." Beldon said, smiling.

Seid speeded off.

Down below on the ground, the officers were seen conversing.

"I've had enough of this. We'll storm the building, get to the roof, and arrest all of them that are up there." Daley ordered.

At that moment, Seid appeared in front of them, having used his speed.

Seid was now sporting a sharp black colored supervillain outfit, with blue lining.

"What the hell are you? Dark Quickster?" Daley asked.

"QUICKSEID!" Seid yelled.

Seid began to run in a circle, using his powers to create a tornado.

"RUN!" Daley shouted.

Seid's tornado tore through the dozens of cop cars and began heading into the city streets.

Around the corner, The Quickster and Lady Quick were seen speeding toward Paradye.

"TYRONE, COME IN!" Peter said through coms.

"Peter, what's up?" Tyrone asked.

"A giant tornado is wrecking through the city!" Peter said.

"Peter, can you here me?" Sun asked.

"YES." Peter yelled.

"If you and Melondy both run around the tornado in the opposite direction, then you'll be able to stop it!" Sun told him.

"Right!" Peter said.

Peter and Melondy zipped around the tornado, which had already ripped apart stores, cars, and homes.

"REMEMBER WHAT I TAUGHT YOU! QUICKER, PETER, QUICKER!" Melondy shouted, running at her fastest.

Peter focused on the energy within himself to push forward. Peter soon outpaced Melondy.

Their combined speed around the tornado finally stopped it.

Seid arrived, racing up to them.

"SEID? Is that you?" Peter asked.

"Like the new get-ups?" Seid asked.

"Sure. Though, I should probably let you know that I'm gonna stain it with your blood!" Peter said.

"JUST YOU TRY!" Seid shouted.

Peter and Melondy raced toward Seid, as all three collided.

Back at Kelp Labs, Lily had put on her own super suit, which was all white with a bunch of blue dots.

"What are the dots for?" Sun asked.

"They represent the places I've teleported to." Lily said.

"Are you ready?" Tyrone asked, holding the disruptor device.

"Let's do this." Lily said.

Lily touched Tyrone's shoulder, teleporting them both on top of Paradye's roof.

"HEY, LOOK!" an engineer said.

The engineers picked up some of the tools, trying to swing at Lily and Tyrone.

"I got this!" Lily said.

Lily avoided their blows, taking them out quickly with an array of karate moves.

"In all of the time we've been texting and chatting... you never told me you knew freaking karate!" Tyrone said, excitedly.

"I'm a woman of many talents, little boy." Lily said, laughing.

Tyrone spotted Irene in the corner.

"Irene!" Tyrone yelled, ripping the tape off her mouth.

"Tyrone, hey!" Irene said.

Tyrone untied her.

"Are you okay?" Tyrone asked, helping her stand.

"I'm fine. Just glad you're here. But, with Lily?" Irene asked.

"Long story, but she's a good guy now. Or... well, girl. Woman." Tyrone said, awkwardly.

"We get it." Lily laughed.

Suddenly, Lily was shot in the head.

Tyrone and Irene screamed in horror.

"Sorry to break up the reunion, children!" Beldon said, walking toward them.

"LILY! Tyrone screamed, kneeling at her body.

The Quantum Machine finally activated.

"It's activated! Soon enough, a quantum pulse will sweep the entire city!" Beldon said, raising his gun.

"Tyrone!" Irene said, grabbing him up.

"Beldon, put the gun down!" Tyrone pleaded.

"Unfortunately, I can't do that. The two of you don't deserve to bask in the glory of the new world I'm erecting." Beldon said, ready to pull the trigger.

Suddenly, Melondy speeded in front of Irene and Tyrone.

"DAD, STOP!" Melondy yelled, ripping off her mask.

"... Mel." Beldon said, stunned.

"If you wanna kill them, you'll have to shoot me first. Could you shoot your own daughter twice." Melondy asked, shedding tears.

Beldon began to shed tears himself.

"I love you, Melondy." Beldon said.

"But?" Melondy asked.

"... You're in my way. I wanted to build a better future." Beldon stated.

"One where everyone on the planet has superpowers, and Seid is the supreme ruler?" Melondy asked.

"That's not what happens. We enter a utopia, where everyone in New Kelp City has superpowers. NKC becomes a world super-house. The tourist attraction of all tourist attractions." Beldon said.

"That's what Seid told you, isn't it?" Irene asked.

"What does that mean?" Beldon asked.

"He lied." Tyrone said.

"In five years... the future I come from... the world is literally in ruins. The metas of New Kelp become unstable - and they conquer the entire planet. One hundred years from now, only superpowered people exist on the planet, with Seid being the supreme overlord." Melondy reveals.

"I... I didn't... I didn't know." Beldon said.

On the streets, Peter was still battling Seid.

"I guess Melondy got scared, huh?" Seid asked, bumping Peter into a damaged car.

"She's handling her own business. YOU are MINES!" Peter said, circling his arms.

Peter pushed Seid back with a small whirlwind.

Seid flew back into a store window.

Speeding out of the store, he grabbed Peter by the neck.

Peter struggled to breathe, as Seid tightened his grip.

"Time for you to die, Peter." Seid said.

Seid vibrated his hand, running it through Peter's chest.

Peter's eyes widened, as he felt his life draining.

"Rest in peace, Quickster." Seid said, dropping Peter's lifeless body.

Seid began to laugh, but was soon stabbed through the heart with a long knife.

Seid kneeled to the ground, coughing up blood.

Peter appeared, standing over him.

"..How?" Seid asked, clenching himself.

"A little trick called temporal duplication. Yeah, Melondy knows a lot of tricks." Peter said.

Peter's time duplicate disappeared.

"Rest in peace, Quickseid." Peter said, toying with him.

Seid fell face first to the ground.

Back on the roof, the Quantum Machine began to rev up.

"It's revving." Beldon said.

"Tyrone, the disruptor." Melondy said.

Tyrone raced toward the machine, putting the disruptor device on it.

"Melondy! Get Lily to a hospital, NOW." Irene shouted.

"ON IT." Melondy said, using her speed to quickly jet off with Lily.

"Will the disruptor work?" Beldon asked.

"It should." Tyrone said.

The disruptor began to kick in, as the machine began to shoot out electricity.

Peter arrived on the roof, using his speed.

"THIS THING'S GONNA BLOW!" Peter said.

"The disruptor was meant to shut the machine down, but I didn't contemplate that it would cause he machine to explode!" Tyrone said to everyone.

Peter used his powers to rush the unconscious engineers off the roof, then Beldon, and then Tyrone and Irene.

The Quantum Machine exploded soon after, releasing a very weak pulse.

"It's over.." Beldon said.

Peter quickly punched Beldon out.

"Now it is." Peter said.

Down the street, Seid's body was seen disappearing, as Peter speeded over with Irene and Tyrone.

"What's happening?" Irene asked.

"The machine was destroyed, meaning that Seid's future as an overlord speedster will never come to be. This version of him is erasing from history." Peter noted.

Seid's body erased completely.

Peter, Irene, and Tyrone held hands in mourning.

The next day, Peter hosted a brunch party at Kelp Labs.

Sun arrives with a basket of muffins.

"Did you guys see the News earlier? The Quickster was honored for saving the city." Sun said, sitting the muffins on a table.

".. And my father admitted everything he did. Including murdering me." Melondy said, eating an omlette.

"I didn't expect that from him." Peter said.

"I think that deep inside, everything he did horrified him. But, he still did it." Melondy said.

"Could you ever forgive him?" Tyrone asked.

"No." Melondy replied.

Irene was seen in a corner.

"I can't forgive Seid either. But, luckily he's gone now." Irene said, seeming withdrawn.

"Hey, I like your gloves." Melondy said, referring to her white finger-less gloves.

"Oh, thanks..." Irene said, weirdly.

"Uh, Melondy, can you help me to an omlette?" Sun asked.

"Yes, right this way." Melondy said, leading her to a pan of omlettes.

Tyrone walked over to Peter.

"Our parents are getting married in a few weeks." Tyrone whispered.

"I know. Whatever was between us... it can't be anymore." Peter whispered back.

"Right." Tyrone said, appearing sad.

"Anyway, last night when the Quantum Machine exploded, a noticed a small, very weak pulse that emitted." Peter said.

"Me too." Tyrone said.

"You think that could of done anything...?" Peter asked.

"I doubt a weak pulse like that gave powers to anyone. Don't worry. We've prevented the Metapocalypse." Tyrone said.

Peter smiled.

Irene overhead them and stepped into the hall.

Irene pulled off her gloves, as a black aura was seen in the palm of both of her hands. 

"Aww man..." Irene said, scared.

Tyrone walked over to Melondy.

"Hey, how is Lily?" Tyrone asked.

"I got her to a hospital on the other side of the city. She's in a coma right now. Thankfully she didn't die." Melondy announced.

"She was a hero, just as much as the rest of us." Tyrone said.

"Don't refer to her in past tense. She'll pull through." Melondy smiled, touching Tyrone's cheek.

Tyrone went over to grab an omlette, as Melondy went over to Peter.

"So, this was fun. This brunch party, not everything else." Melondy said, with a laugh.

Peter laughed as well.

"Wait, why does it sound like you're saying goodbye?" Peter asked.

"Because I am." Melondy said, saddened.

Everyone looked over.

"You're leaving?" Irene asked, walking back into the room.

"I am." Melondy restated.

"Why? You could stay here, and join the team. We'd love to have you." Peter said.

"That all sounds nice, but I am literally a woman forgotten by time. I don't exist." Melondy said, nearly crying.

Everyone understood where she was coming from.

"I have to make my peace with that." Melondy said.

"Does it have to be out of New Kelp City?" Tyrone asked.

Melondy flashed a somber smile.

"This was Melondy's home. I'm not her anymore. I need to find where I belong as Lady Quick." Melondy stated.

"I know you'll find a great new chapter in life. After all, what's past is prologue." Peter said, smiling at her.

"Or.. what's fast is prologue." Melondy joked.

The two speedsters hugged.

"And remember, you still have a family here. Us. So don't be a stranger?" Peter told her.

"I won't. See you guys soon." Melondy said.

Melondy speeded out of Kelp Labs, taking off for parts unknown.

"Is it strange to say I'll miss her? Considering she killed me in an alternate timeline?" Irene asked, slightly humorously.

Peter and Tyrone chuckled.

"Alternate what now?" Sun asked, confused.

"We have a lot to go over with you, mom." Peter said, grinning.

An hour later

Peter is seen outside in front of Kelp Labs.

Irene, Tyrone, and Sun are seen inside, at the computer.

"Alright, Sun... you're about to witness for the first time how fast your son can go." Tyrone said.

"I am quite excited!" Sun said.

"You hear that, Peter? Don't disappoint your mother!" Irene said, over coms.

"Yeah man! Top your old record!" Tyrone said.

Peter remembered his training session with Melondy.

He felt the energy in his veins and soared at insane speeds.

"Oh wow, he's all over the place!" Sun said, watching a graphic of him on the computer.

"He's already outputting faster than he ever has!" Irene said.

"GUYS! I THINK I CAN GO FASTER!" Peter shouted into coms.

"Do it." Tyrone said, curiously.

Peter pushed himself quicker than he ever has before.

"WOOOOOOO!" Peter yelled.

Ep.13  (Part 2)

New Kelp City

As the episode opens, we see news reporters, police officers, firefighters, and F.I.N agents at the barn house on the outskirts of the city.

Debbie is seen flying to the area, landing on the ground below. 

"BACK AWAY, WE'RE SEALING THE PERIMETER!" a firefighter said to reporters.

"Debbie?" Director Payne asked, seeing her land to the ground.

"Payne, I saw what happened on the News." Debbie said, walking over to him.

"The heroes were inside?" Payne questioned.

"Yes, they were following up on a lead. It lead here, but now I realize that it was a trap! They could be injured or DEAD!" Debbie said, out of breath.

"Debbie, calm down!" Payne said, trying to comfort her.

Debbie held in tears.

"SOMEONE'S COMING OUT." a firefighter shouted.

As the smoke settled, we see Katherine, Peter, Tomoya, Melondy, Tim and Marshall walking toward everyone. All six were seemingly unharmed.

"... You guys are okay?" Debbie questioned.

"I put up a telekinetic barrier before the blast occurred." Katherine said.

"Needless to say, we were all very shocked." Melondy said.

"But, we made it out." Tim said.

News reporters rushed up to get more statements.

The next morning, we see Kelp Labs filled to the brim with the heroes and F.I.N agents.

"It's sure getting crowded in here." Debbie said, walking over to Sandy.

Sandy was watching the morning News.

"Anything interesting?" Debbie asked.

"The media is getting suspicious. Within the span of two days there were sightings of a UFO above Bikini Bottom and a barn house explosion on the outskirts of New Kelp City - with six superheroes inside." Sandy said.

"You're right. That is pretty... suspect." Peter said, walking over to them.

"Yeah. Um, ya know I'm surprised that Katherine was able to so quickly put up a barrier and shield off an explosion she didn't know was coming." Sandy said.

"We knew something was weird the second we walked in. If you two were there, you would of understood." Peter said.

"Right." Sandy said.

"I'm gonna go to the Speed Lab. I need to practice." Peter said, speeding off.

"What was that about?" Debbie asked.

"Not sure yet... " Sandy said, mysteriously.

Jelliens' Mothership

On the mothership, we see Jarvix walking down the hall, as he bumps into Queen Liza and Seid.

"Auntie..." Jarvix said.

"Oh, sweetie... I'd been hoping to run into you. This is my associate, Seid." Liza said.

"Your associate is... terran." Jarvix said, confused.

"Yes, he is an Earthling." Liza said.

"An Earthling who has made all of this possible, boy." Seid said.

"I'm no boy, and what do you mean?" Jarvix asked.

"Seid here is the one who pointed us in the direction of the world we'll soon be taking over." Liza said.

"Speaking on that front... how are we doing?" Jarvix asked.

"We made excellent progress last night, actually. Let me and Seid show you what we picked up." Liza said.

Liza and Seid led Jarvix into the containment area - a large room hosting multiple pod machines.

Inside six machines, we see the real Katherine, Peter, Melondy, Marshall, and Tim. The six are hooked up to cords, which are placed around their heads.

"Oh my god." Jarvix said.

"Six of Earth's heroes captured." Seid said.

"For what reason? We already took that Analise woman as a way of leaving warning." Jarvix said.

"This isn't about warnings, it's about strategy." Liza said.

"What is the strategy here?" Jarvix asked.

"Last night, we tricked the heroes into coming to a barn house. After they entered, we set off an explosion. Before anyone could get to the scene, we switched their real selves out with fakes." Seid revealed.

"How is that possible?" Jarvix asked.

"For centuries, our species has been working on a technology that allows a person to assume the form of another." Liza revealed.

Jarvix looked at the cords around the heroes' heads.

"The Jelliens that are impersonating these six have a device implanted inside their heads that establishes a neuro-physical link with their hosts minds and bodies." Liza revealed.

"Genius, isn't it?" Seid asked.

"Why didn't I know about this technology, auntie?" Jarvix asked.

"Very few Jelliens do, except for the higher ups. In fact, your parents strongly opposed it." Liza revealed.

"What?" Jarvix questioned.

"They tried to leak the truth about the project, which... lead to their deaths." Liza revealed.

Jarvix shed a tear.

"You killed my parents? YOUR OWN SISTER?" Jarvix asked.

"I'm gonna step out now. Give you two some much needed privacy." Seid said, chuckling.

"Jarvix, please understand." Liza said, trying to touch him.

"Don't touch me." Jarvix said, stepping back.

"You think I wanted my own sister murdered? I had no choice! It was out of my hands. She got caught." Liza said.

"You're the Queen - you could of done something." Jarvix said.

"I'M DOING SOMETHING NOW! By conquering this new world, so that our people and our LEGACY can live on." Liza shouted, shedding tears.

Jarvix crossed his arms.

"Hate me if you want, but I will give you the world that I promised your mother I would." Liza said, leaving.

Kelp Labs

Sandy walked up to Payne.

"Director, do you and your agents wanna share with us what you have on the Jelliens? Or are you gonna keep scanning all over Kelp Labs?" Sandy questioned.

"We're checking this place out for evidence, miss Cheeks." Payne said.

"Well, we need info!" Debbie said, walking over to them.

"I'm afraid me and my agents are keeping all potential information tight lipped at the moment." Payne said.

"Why?" Sandy asked.

"Because we don't know who may be compromised!" Payne said.

"What do you mean?" Debbie asked.

"Last night was weird. All of those heroes walked out without a scratch." Payne said.

"It was weird to me too, but... Katherine can make barriers and Marshall can make himself and others intangible." Sandy said.

"Well, I don't trust all of you yet. Me and my agents will continue sweeping Kelp Labs, and we'll be out of here soon enough." Payne said, walking off.

"AND WHAT ABOUT INFORMATION?" Sandy yelled.

Debbie sighed.

Tyrone met up with Peter in the Speed Lab.

"Peter?" Tyrone called out.

Peter stopped speeding.

"Hey!" Peter said, sweating.

"I know this is a bad time, but we kinda have something to do." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, fighting aliens is gonna be no joke." Peter said, grabbing a towel.

"Uh, not that." Tyrone said, with a slight chuckle.

"Then what?" Peter asked.

"Tuesdays...?" Tyrone said.

"And?" Peter asked.

"We go and see Irene." Tyrone said.

"OHHHH, I totally forgot man." Peter said.

"Uh huh." Tyrone said, oddly.

Sandy enters the room.

"Hey, everything alright in here?" Sandy asked.

"We're fine. Welcome to the Speed Lab!" Tyrone said, gesturing.

"It's pretty cool." Sandy said, smiling.

"Me and Peter have somewhere to be, but we'll be right back." Tyrone said.

"I don't mean to be nosy, but what exactly?" Sandy asked.

"We're going to visit our friend, Irene Hart. She's being held at a mental institution for metafish." Tyrone said.

"She's a meta?" Sandy asked.

"Yes, her powers just developed recently. When she touches people, she temporarily absorbs their memories and powers - if applicable. If she holds on long enough, she could murder someone." Tyrone said.

"Wow, that must be difficult." Sandy said.

"It tore her apart. That's why she ended up in the institution." Tyrone said.

"You're awfully quiet." Sandy said, looking at Peter.

"Uh, well... we should be going now. To see Iris - I MEAN IRENE." Peter said.

"Dude, are you okay? Maybe you took more of a hit from that explosion than you think you did." Tyrone said, laughing.

Both of them exit, as Sandy looked suspicious.

The scene shifts as Peter and Tyrone arrive at Happy Dale institution.

"Welcome to Happy Dale, are you here to see a patient?" a nurse asked.

"Irene Hart. We're on the visitors list." Tyrone said.

Tyrone and Peter were led to Irene's room.

"Hey!" Tyrone said, giving her a hug.

"It's so good to see you guys." Irene said.

"Good to see you too." Peter said, very dryly.

"Well, get over here!" Irene said, opening her arms.

"Right, right." Peter said, hugging her.

"You okay, today?" Irene asked.

"More than okay. Cool gloves." Peter said.

"These gloves are so I don't accidentally touch people. Not for the aesthetic." Irene said, sitting down.

"Peter is a bit preoccupied this week. Sorry." Tyrone said.

"From your texts the other day, I pieced together something about aliens and superheroes?" Irene asked in a whisper.

"Correct." Tyrone said.

"Well, I hope you guys are okay." Irene said.

"I'm gonna get a drink of water out in the hall." Peter said, stepping out.

"Is Peter acting weird because you finally told him about your own powers?" Irene asked.

"Shhh!" Tyrone said. "I don't want him to know yet." Tyrone said.

"Why not?" Irene asked.

"He has enough to deal with, considering everything going on with you." Tyrone said.

"He's your stepbrother. Not to mention the guy you loved a year ago." Irene said.

"All of that means nothing. Especially since I'm very unsure that he's himself these days." Tyrone said.

"What does that mean?" Irene asked.

"When he comes back in... do you mind touching him?" Tyrone asked.

"What? Why would you suggest that." Irene asked.

"I need to know whats going on in his head. Please, Irene." Tyrone asked of her.

"Fine." Irene said.

Peter entered the room again.

"All good?" Tyrone asked.

"Yeah." Peter said.

"Uh, Peter... they've actually been working on a treatment for containing my power." Irene lied.

"Oh yeah? That's good. So, you can touch people now without harm?" Peter asked.

"Exactly. Can I... try on you?" Irene asked.

"Sure, yeah." Peter said.

Irene took off her glove, touching Peter's face.

Peter screamed in pain.

Irene let go of his face.

"I guess it didn't work, I'm so sorry!" Irene said, faking tears.

"It's fine, it's fine. Uh, Tyrone, we should get going now. I'm sure the others need our assistance back at Kelp Labs." Peter said.

"Yeah, you can start out. I'll wrap up with Irene." Tyrone said.

As Peter left, Tyrone turned to Irene.

"So?" Tyrone asked.

"It's the strangest thing... it's Peter, but also feels like someone else." Irene said.

"You saw Peter's memories, correct?" Tyrone asked.

"Yes, but there's a gap after the explosion at the barn house. From there, something feels different about him - about his thinking." Irene said, unsure how to describe it.

"I think something terrible has happened, Irene." Tyrone said.

"Get to the bottom of it. Find out how compromised our friend is." Irene urged.

Tyrone nodded, as he hugged Irene and then took off.

In the hallway, Tyrone and Peter see Sun.

"Peter! Tyrone! It's great that you're both here." Sun said.

"What are you doing here?... Uh, mom." Peter said.

"Are you okay, sweetie?" Sun asked, noticing his odd demeanor.

"Fine." Peter said, scratching his head.

"Uh huh. Well, I just came to visit Irene. They said her room was down this way." Sun explained.

"Well, we gotta go mom." Peter said, pulling Tyrone along.

"Boys, wait!" Sun said.

"What is it, Sun?" Tyrone asked.

"Tyrone, me and your father are getting a divorce." Sun revealed.

"What? Why?" Tyrone asked.

"It wasn't working. His long business trips, my own personal drives keeping me away... it just wasn't working." Sun said.

"For what it's worth, you've been a great stepmom." Tyrone said, smiling.

"Thank you. Now, I know you two are busy, so I'm gonna let you get going." Sun said, walking off.

The scene shifts, as Sandy and Debbie are seen in the Speed Lab.

"Hey, F.I.N just cleared out." Debbie said.

"And they left us no info, huh?" Sandy questioned.

"Not a lick. Said they'd check back in soon." Debbie said.

Sandy got a ring on her phone.

"A text message from that Tyrone dude." Sandy said.

"What does he want? I thought he and Peter were visiting a friend." Debbie said.

"He wants to see exclusively you and me. In private." Sandy told her.

Debbie and Sandy meet up with Tyrone in an alleyway.

"Tyrone... why did you have us meet you in an alley all the way across town?" Debbie asked.

"Because I wanted to make sure we wouldn't be heard or found having this convo." Tyrone said.

"I think I have a feeling what this is about." Sandy said.

"The six heroes, including Peter, who walked out of that barn house explosion last night - I don't think it's them." Tyrone said.

Sandy and Debbie looked at each other.

"Me and Debbie have noticed some oddities among the heroes as well after last night." Sandy said.

"I have noticed differences in Peter. He's not all there. He's spacing out, forgetting things, and hardly recognizing people he loves." Tyrone told them.

"So, what... do you guys think they were all compromised?" Debbie questioned.

"I think our super acquaintances were switched." Tyrone said.

"Switched? With fake versions of themselves... impersonating them?" Debbie asked.

"That's what it means, Debs." Sandy said.

"Kay, but we have no actual physical evidence of this. Odd behavior aside..." Debbie noted.

"Then we need to get some." Tyrone said.

"What are you suggesting?" Debbie asked.

"I don't know." Tyrone said.

"Guys, I have a plan. Listen carefully." Sandy said.

The scene shifts, as we see the "heroes" at Kelp Labs.

Katherine, Tomoya, Melondy, Marshall, and Tim are grouped together, talking about something. Peter walks up to them.

"I think Tyrone's onto us." Peter said.

Everyone appeared shaken.

"Why would you say that?" Katherine asked.

"When we returned to Kelp Labs, he took off - quite frantic might I add. Now, Sandy Cheeks and the Universal Guardian are missing." Peter said.

"Our mission here is to kill them. We cannot fail." Melondy said.

"Even if they did suspect something, they would still need to return to Kelp Labs. Their ally, Adam is here." Katherine.

At that moment, Adam walked into the room.

"Hey guys, guess who's all back?!" Adam said, as Sandy and Tyrone entered the room.

"Where did you guys go?" Peter asked.

"I treated Sandy and Debbie to a meal in the city." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, me and Debbie don't know a thing about New Kelp City, and we were starving for something good to eat." Sandy said.

"Fighting aliens shouldn't be done on an empty stomach!" Tyrone said, awkwardly.

"Where's Debbie?" Tim asked.

"Actually, she's in the science lab right now." Tyrone said.

"Yeah, she said she wanted to talk to Marshall in private." Sandy said.

"Why me?" Marshall asked.

"Well, I think she wants to reveal her true feelings to you." Sandy lied.

"Romantically?" Marshall asked.

"Yes! Yes, that! You remember how close you two have gotten over the last few weeks!" Sandy said.

"Yeah, I guess so." Marshall said, taking off.

In the science lab, we see Debbie awaiting Marshall.

"Marshall, hi!" Debbie said.

"What is this about?" Marshall asked, walking over to her.

"I just wanted to let you know... before we all die... how I feel about you." Debbie lied, caressing his cheek.

"Ya know, Debbie... nothing in my memory even suggests you have these feelings." Marshall said.

"I've had these feelings since the minute you first joined me on the Skyripper. Plus, you're really hot. I'm not blind." Debbie said.

Marshall put his hand around her waist.

"If you're telling the truth... show me." Marshall said.

As the two were about to kiss, Marshall was hit over the head with a pole.

"AND HE'S OUT!" Sandy said, rushing to lock the door.

"Perfect timing. I couldn't stomach faking all of that!" Debbie said.

"Yeah, it was getting hard for me to watch." Sandy said.

"Is Tyrone gonna get Adam out of Kelp Labs?" Debbie asked.

"He should be talking with Adam as we speak." Sandy said.

"So... what do we do about Marshall?" Debbie asked.

"This is a science room, so... I'll fashion some tools together and get a look into his brain." Sandy said.

"Great!" Debbie said.

"Help me get him up." Sandy said.

Meanwhile, we see Tyrone approach Adam in the kitchen.

"Tyrone, hey. Why were you and Sandy acting so weird earlier?" Adam asked.

"Adam, I don't know how close you are to Katherine and Tim, but you MUST have noticed that your friends are not themselves today." Tyrone said.

"... I didn't wanna say anything, because I thought it might be PTSD or something from the explosion." Adam said.

"Adam, you're a brilliant, smart man. Think about it." Tyrone said, grabbing onto his arms.

"... The people upstairs aren't our friends." Adam whispered, in fear.

"No! They've been switched." Tyrone whispered.

"Oh my god, how is this possible? What do we do?" Adam asked, panicking.

"Calm down, remain quiet, and come with me." Tyrone said.

"Where?" Adam asked.

"We're getting out of Kelp Labs!" Tyrone said, pulling him along.

As the two men take off down the hallway, they are intercepted by "Tim".

"You two aren't going anywhere." Tim said, pointing a ray gun at them.

Adam and Tyrone look at each other in fear. 

In the science lab, we see "Marshall" hooked up to a brain scanning machine.

"What the hell is that on the monitor?" Debbie asked, pointing.

"Oh my god. It's some kind of transmitter. Implanted directly inside his head." Sandy said.

Debbie bowed her head in shock.

"Going over the blood work now." Sandy said, reading.

"Sandy, is this our Marshall?" Debbie asked.

"No. The DNA is definitely not of this world." Sandy said.

"We need to get the hell out of here!" Debbie said.

"The Skyripper was parked in the basement last night instead of the storage facility next door. We can get on that, get out of here, and reach out for help." Sandy said, pulling out her phone.

"What are you doing?" Debbie asked.

"Texting Tyrone to meet us with Adam, on board the Skyripper." Sandy said.

At that moment, someone was trying to open the room door.

"We're busy!" Debbie called out.

A telekinetic force violently swung open the door.

"Katherine!" Sandy said.

"Katherine" appeared, looking sinister.

"What are you guys doing to Marshall?" Katherine asked.

"That's not Marshall." Debbie said.

"And your not Katherine!" Sandy said, quickly tossing a poison dart at her.

Katherine stopped it's motion using telekinesis, tossing it to the side.

"SANDY, GET TO THE SHIP!" Debbie yelled, flying at Katherine.

Sandy ran down the hall, as Debbie tackled Katherine onto the floor.

Katherine used a telekinetic blast to push Debbie all the way up to the cieling.

As Debbie dropped back down, she was rammed into by Peter.

Debbie's body went flinging across the hall.

"You can't beat all three of us!" Peter said.

"Three?" Debbie asked, standing up.

Melondy raced into the area.

"Oh, right." Debbie said, sighing.

Debbie shot at Melondy with heat vision, blasting her away.

Peter quickly grabbed Debbie, throwing her at Katherine.

Katherine used telekinesis to rip radiators out of the floor.

As Katherine sent them in Debbie's direction, Debbie slapped them out of the way with relative ease.

"I'm the Universal Guardian! DO BETTER!" Debbie said.

"I CAN! Katherine said, using a telekinetic blast to tear apart the floor under Debbie.

Meanwhile, we see Tim taking aim at Adam and Tyrone.

"Tim... I know you're in there. Even if it's not you.  The real Tim would never hurt me!" Adam said.

"You're talking to a brick wall, Adam!" Tyrone said.

Tim took the shot, as both of them jumped to avoid the beam.

"STOP!" Sandy yelled, running behind him.

Tim turned around, as Sandy kicked the gun out of his hand.

Tim throws a punch at Sandy, but she dodges and kicks him down by the legs.

"He's passed out, lets go!" Sandy said.

Sandy, Tyrone, and Adam take off.

Debbie crashes down to the Speed Lab, as Katherine and Peter follow her.

Katherine controls a chain, wrapping it around Debbie's neck.

Debbie coughs, as Peter speeds back and forth hitting him.

Debbie manages to kick Peter's leg in while he's running back at her.

"AHHH!" Peter screams, as his leg breaks in half.

"BITCH BROKE MY LEG!" Peter yelled, laying on the ground in agony.

Debbie rips the chain apart, as Katherine turns invisible.

Katherine takes punches at her, but Debbie uses her X-Ray vision to grab Katherine by the neck.

Katherine becomes visible again.

"You're NOTHING like the real Miss Appear." Debbie said, punching the impostor through a wall.

Moments later, Debbie is seen making way into the basement where she runs into Sandy, Tyrone and Adam.

"You guys made it!" Debbie said.

"Where's the ship?" Adam asked.

"Over this way." Sandy said, as they all ran.

Out of nowhere, an icy gust blasts Sandy and Adam across the floor.

Tyrone and Debbie turn around, seeing "Tomoya".

"You all forgot about me." Tomoya said, smiling.

Tomoya quickly shoots out a cold energy beam at Debbie.

"AHH!" Debbie screams, as the cold energy begins to harm her body.

"DEBBIE!" Sandy screamed, getting up.

"Enjoy turning into a statue, Universal Guardian!" Tomoya said.

At that moment, Tyrone produced a massive light beam from his hands, shining it at Tomoya.

Tomoya flinched in pain, as Tyrone kept up the beam.

Sandy rushed to Debbie's side, as the guardian fell to the floor.

"Debbie, come on, you can fight this!" Sandy yelled.

"YOU GUYS NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" Tyrone said.

"Adam's knocked out, and we're not leaving you behind!" Sandy said.

"I'LL WORRY ABOUT ADAM. DEBBIE'S TOO IMPORTANT TO LOSE. GET HER OUT OF HERE!" Tyrone said, still holding off Tomoya.

Sandy helped Debbie up, as the two made their way onto the Skyripper.

On the Skyripper, Debbie and Sandy came onto the bridge, as Sandy sat Debbie in a seat.

"I'm beating the chill..." Debbie said, as her body was calming down.

"If anyone could, I knew it'd be the Universal Guardian." Sandy said, giving her a smile.

"I still feel weak." Debbie said, nearly passing out.

"I'm gonna get you out of here!" Sandy said, strapping herself into the pilot seat.

Sandy activated the cannons, as the Skyripper blasted out of Kelp Labs.

Meanwhile, Tyrone increased the intensity of the light, as it began to burn the implant inside the fake Tomoya's head. 

The impostor soon turned back into his regular Jellien form, as it passed out on the floor.

Tyrone appeared out of breath, as he goes over to check on Adam.

"Adam, wake up!" Tyrone said, shaking him.

The scene shifts as we see the Skyripper enter the Stasis Zone.

"We're in the Stasis Zone?" Debbie asked.

"We'll remain here and reach out to F.I.N. Get them to send backup and finally some information." Sandy said.

At that moment, an explosion goes off on the outside of the Skyripper.

"WHAT WAS THAT?" Debbie asked, as the blast rocked the entire ship.

"LILLIAN!" Sandy called out to the ship's A.I.

"It would seem that an explosive was planted on the bottom of the sh- " Lillian started, as her voice slurred.

"Lillian?" Sandy questioned.

Alarms started going off, and the Skyripper began to fall through the Stasis Zone.

Sandy and Debbie screamed, as the ship went free falling.

"THE JELLIENS MUST OF PLANTED IT ON THE SHIP!" Debbie said.

"NO DUH!" Sandy said, holding on tight to her seat.

"THE EXPLOSIVE MUST OF AFFECTED THE SHIP'S SYSTEMS." Debbie said.

"YA THINK???" Sandy said, sarcastically.

The Skyripper continues to fall through the Stasis Zone, as it breaches through into some random universe.

The ship flies past a castle, as it crashes into the ground.

After some time passes, Sandy and Debbie awaken.

"Wha- what the hell?" Sandy asked.

"What happened? How long have we been out?" Debbie questioned.

Sandy looks at a wrist watch.

"About forty five minutes." Sandy said.

"Sandy... look." Debbie said, pointing to the windows.

"We're underground? Submerged underground?" Sandy questioned.

"The ship went free falling through the multiverse." Debbie said.

"Right, then there was a crash. We passed out on impact." Sandy said, wiping blood from her head.

"The entire ship is not likely submerged. We'll head out through a back exit and see if we can make it to the surface." Debbie said. 

Outside, we see the knights and guardians of Karmania, alongside Ranen.

"I'm worried about whoever is inside." Audrey said, clenching to Jake's arm.

"I'm worried about what danger they may pose." Ranen said, cautiously.

"They could be friendly for all we know." Madison said.

"Or they could be blood sucking aliens!" Nick suggested.

"I wish I could see that." Cameron said, smirking.

"Trust me, if they're aliens... be lucky you can't see them. They could be hideous." Cynthia said.

"Or hot." Tori said.

Madison looked at her oddly.

"What? It's a thought." Tori said, shrugging.

"Guys, listen. There's someone coming from around the back." Trent said.

Sandy and Debbie are seen.

"Woo, thank goodness for that back exit." Sandy said.

"Sandy, look." Debbie said, as they noticed the others.

Jake, Zero, Cameron, Trent and Nick pulled out their swords.

"Who are you two?" Jake asked.

Sandy and Debbie looked at each other in confusion.

"Sandy... where are we?" Debbie asked in a whisper.
