    3 NEW PERSIAN MOVIES COMING RIGHT AT YA

    SpongeBob In Iran/Bobby and Bobo in Iran: Save the Sibyl Gold

    Remember that trailer I showed y'all back last year? Turns out the movie DID get made, it's just even more bootleg for some reason. Instead of SpongeBob and Patrick, we now have... Bobby and Bobo. But other than that, it's basically the same. I did have a theory that this was an early version of SpongeBob in Tehran before Persian Toon(the other illegal Persian SpongeBob dubber) was shut down, so I guess it might have been remade to have legally-friendly SpongeBob characters.

    This movie got its rounds on twitter, but sadly, I never got the time to really pay much attention to this. Unlike the other movies, this one is mostly LIVE-ACTION. ...And it has the IRIB Pooya voices like SpongeBob in Tehran! Is this the sequel we've been waiting for? Maybe!

    Less than a minute in and I see Persian dubbed footage of Donald Trump. You know shit's gonna be good.

    According to a commentator, this is anti-American propaganda? I'm not gonna say too much since I don't speak Persian, but I wouldn't be shocked. But yeah, it's another "SpongeBob and his friends visit Iran" movie. Also this seems to have Persian Toon voices as well. I guess they gave up on being legally-friendly.

    Conclusion: That movie I showed last year got made, there's a possible sequel to SpongeBob in Tehran, and Donald Trump offically exists in the Persian SpongeBob universe.

    sadly no but its unironically fantastic! well not the two cursed seasons from what i hear(i still might watch those at some point on my own) but the revived seasons are pretty good imo.(well ive only seen 2016 in full so far lel) maybe not that impressive if you've never watched survivor before but if you're a survivor fan i'd highly recommend it.

    OH GOD DARKNESS WHAT ARE YOU DOING THIS TIME

    So last week me and Prez had this idea to start doing this. I've been infodumping for awhile now and now it's my time to force my special interest onto everyone.

    AUSTRALIAN SURVIVOR

    I already posted about how much I like it in the Obscure Interest Sharing topic but for those who don't know, this is the Australian version of the famous TV show Survivor. The revived version(I have to specify this every time, since there were two failed attempts in 2002 and 2006) first aired in 2016 and they have aired yearly since then, though an All-Stars season is going to air this year alongside the 2020 season.

    I will try to host watch nights every Friday at around 9pm EST/6pm PST. We will be watching 2 episodes per night, so it will be on average 2 hours of watching per week. There are 26 episodes per season though, so this will last 13 weeks per season.

    We will be starting with the first revived season that aired in 2016. I made a discord to avoid spamming it on Prez's discord and here on SBC. If there are problems with the link, let me know.

    Obscure Interest Sharing Thread!

    Not really THAT obscure, but I'm in a pickle where I can't talk to any fans due to how far behind I am and how much I want to avoid spoilers.

    It's the Australian version of Survivor! The history of this series is kind of a doozy. There was a season in 2002 and a celebrity season in 2006. Both of those seasons aren't looked at nicely by the fanbase, I believe it's because they're considered boring(I watched an episode of 2002 and yeah, I can see it). After 10 years of being stranded in limbo, the series was revived by Ten Network into the one I know and love today.

    Including the failed attempts, there are 6 seasons. They're going to have an All-Stars edition next month but I won't be able to watch that live, since I haven't even completed the first revived season yet(I skipped the 2002 and 2006 ones lel).

    If any of you are fans of Survivor, I highly recommend the revived Australian Survivor! I'm almost at the end of the 2016 edition, the first revived season, and I've been enjoying it so much! The season's are kinda long though, 2016 has 26 episodes which are 45 to 80 minutes long, but I know other shows that make that look tiny in comparison.
