  1. Interesting. I thought at least Squidward got a comeuppance in the sense that he never did get his fame and fortune.

He did, but it was just in a way that didn't seem right. Spongebob not getting his anticommeupance is what I don't like, as well as the lack of apology from Squid. Also, SpongeBob now has no creativity, thanks to Squid.

  2. Please welcome, your new Employee of the Month. So come a double (or triple) update!

I typed up 44, but it got lost because of lack of update, so I'll just say it...

    And for #43...

So, yeah, this is the only atrocity on Mr. Enter's list that I don't understand, whatsoever. I disagree with a couple personally, and I think a few others should be there, but out of ALL 100 and something, this is the only one I just can't figure out a reason for. Well, I'll try to keep the remainder of episodes up to #40 short, so I'll cut to the chase about why I like the episode, and let the video give the description.

The episode is one great thing. I think that the idea of the bobsled race gone wrong was a good concept to work with. Some things don't make sense, but that's part of it. I love Stop-Motion by the way, a reason why the Snow Monster was a real perk. Well, the Plankton plot was uninteresting, but it had some funny moments, like "time to get distractive-- I mean destructive!" But the rest of the episode is very action-packed, while still being well-paced. (this is exactly my problem recently with Band Geeks) Also, everything else was just perfect. The characters working together in this way was just great. Wasn't the funniest episode, but one of the more memorable ones. Any flaws are just outweighed by the good.

    Speaking of best specials...

Well, here we are, with my guiltiest pleasure in the entire show.

This episode is critically underrated, to the point where it's basically at the bottom of many pre-movie worst lists. But honestly, it never bugged me. EVER. I'm With Stupid? Liked it once, now I know it's one of the worst easily. Artist Unknown? Never liked it, but now hate it with a passion. IWaTG? That one I always hated but the reasons changed. And so on. The only reason this isn't higher is because there's better.

But why do I not hate this episode, let alone put it in my Top 50? Well, the episode IS really funny. But so is IWS. But really, the episode has enough gags to cover any cruelty. The cruelty I didn't mind. At all. Ever. It wasn't nearly close to Pet Sitter Pat or A Pal for Gary territory. It was just cartoony. If this kind of stuff is cartoony, I can handle it. I mean really, a pet exploding and acting like a hybrid car? That just isn't in the slightest realistic. And of course, SpongeBob apologized in the end, and the cruel training sequence was short and sweet. And I found that cruelty funny for those reasons. People don't complain about SCitS little flaws, because they're short. (top 20, by the way) And the episode just had plenty of good gags. To name a few...

"Thanks I know, he's got nerves of steel."

"The first place snail racing cup presented to Squidward, TORTELLINI!!!"

Yeah, and then some. The episode, it TRIED. And for me, it worked. My only real complaint is that they decided to scrap "Snellie" in a later episode, "Gary in Love," and replace it with some snail named Mary or something, can't remember. I don't mind the sexist joke because, well, he got comeuppance by Sandy.

I'm sure some people put it on their best list.

Oh, wait, look at #12 on Uncommon Reviews, that one's right there.

  3. So I'm making a new worst list, okay. But this time, I'll be ranking it specifically by atrocity points. How will I do this? I will simply list every one that I can call an Atrocity to some degree (Minus The Great Snail Race), and the ones with the highest score will get it. Tie-Breaking will be personal. The ones picked will be on this list as an atrocity scorecard, and maybe an extended review after the brief summary of why I dislike it. And who knows, maybe my Atlantis SquarePantis review will be here? The first update will be posted in something like a week, as it'll take a long time to exactly summarize every episode I dislike somewhat, which might add up to something pretty big.

Updates of the list will be posted as I do them.

So I'm including a link to watch the episode if the episode is available on YouTube, so if you haven't seen a Season 8 or 9 episode on here, you can see it, and so I can watch it to see if there are parts I don't remember. If it gets taken down by Viacom (which it was), I will find a new one.

This episode is a very simplistic one. And quite good. Somehow, even though you can classify it as a "SpongeBob torture and filler episode," how funny and cute Gary is makes up for it. The episode starts with a long repetitive commercial for Snail Bites. It's filler, but it is somehow entertaining. So SpongeBob decides to buy a box for his little Gary. After trying one, he can't get enough of them and will do anything for them. And I mean ANYTHING. Yet again, filler, but very cute. When he FINALLY runs out, he goes to bed, but Gary starts to meow. Eventually, out of urge to rest, Gary makes him go to the Pet Store hours early. But at opening, there are no more Snail Bites. But Gary continues by causing a scene at the Krusty Krab at work. And he makes him go to the factory. And guess what, not there!

    "C-S-L-O-S-C-E-D, closed!"

Or in the entire world. And filler comes, but somehow entertaining. When SpongeBob is just so sick and tired of it, Patrick tells him to learn to say "No."

"You have to No when to say know"

And he tries hard, but Gary shows him cute pictures. But SpongeBob finally says it, and, twist ending, Gary calms down and acts like nothing's happened! That was unexpected. Really great, too. It had a really cute and funny Gary, even though he did torture SpongeBob. And it kept my interest even though repetitive.

Oh, one more thing, Patrick eats the last of the world's Snail Bites, and then when he runs out, HE goes on meowing!

Current Hint for #44: "Where is all this litter coming from!!!"
