  1. This has to be the best special I've seen since "SpongeBob's Last Stand". Many funny moments, and the plot was pretty consistent :) My favorite part was the void scenes. It was funny how Patrick naturally turned his misery onto the donut's xD

    A~!

  2. House Sittin' fopr Sandy wasn't one of the best episodes from season 8, but it was nice :)

My mind went haywire until the part SpongeBob realized he wasn't wearing a helment /lmao'd and Patrick's starting to become more of an annoying-bother than SpongeBob...well, compared to SpongeBob at least xD

    I'd give this episode a B+ ~!

Smoothe Jazz was a charming episode, enough said c:

    A-

*Props to jjsthekid for explaining all his reactions :P

  3. These are the worst episodes I've seen so far:

    Suction Cup Symphony

    SpongeBob vs the Big One

    Choir Boys

    Squid's Visit

    Shuffleboarding

    Professor Squidward

    Pet or Pests

    Shell Shocked

    The Clash of Triton

    Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful

    A Pal for Gary

    Squidward in Clarinetland

    The Play's the Thing

    Enchanted Tiki Dreams

    The Abrasive Side

/the episodes in bold-text are the ones I can't stand to watch

  4. C'mon, person! Spongebob is getting better, at least! Wait a minute, if you don't like SB, why are you even here? :o
I was thinking the same, just as long as they appreciate the older seasons ^^SpongeBob's obviously bound to end just like everyone's bound to die (whoa, dark comment right there). I won't feel sad knowing SpongeBob's one of the longest-running cartoons of all time! He'll leave a permanent mark in history, or for many years to come at least. Just as long as he remains an iconic image like "Mickey Mouse", "Betty Boop", or "Hello Kitty", I'll be forever happy 8)
  5. Haha, sorta' late to the party when discussing about these episodes, but what the heck. "Barnacle Face" was an ok episode. I don't know how many times Mr. Krabs ordered SpongeBob to help Pearl in one of her needy situations, but this had to be the most bizarre out of them x'D The writers went creative when using barnacles for Pearl instead of pimples lol. A pretty nice episode :)

"Pet Sitter Pat" felt like one of those "relaxed" SB episode...not too much going on if you're catching my drift (like Gary Takes a Bath, Shanghaied, Pineapple Fever, etc.). I was glad to see SpongeBob's grammy again~! Patrick should have known better not to treat Gary like that, but it was pretty funny how he handled his pet-sitting obligations (knowing Patrick xD).

    Overall I'd give these episodes a B+ :P

  6. I have to say, these two episodes have to be the best I've seen in season eight thus far! The "Mermaidman Begins" episode was very nice to watch, especially the part were MM and BB are seen as younger adults. It felt like I was watching a different cartoon! So much human interactions right there xD Loved it~! As for "Plankton's Good Eye"...hilarious! I'll just leave it at that ^^

    Ratings for both episodes: A-

  7. I read it all.

In certain parts I really agree. When talks about building up a joke, I perfectly see what he is saying. A joke needs time to develop, has to have at least some coherence to the plot and needs build up to truly make us appreciate the punchline.

One part however that he really seems to love bringing up, I really don't see. He acts like the main source of humor comes from the fact that apparently every character is relatable. What is this, Seinfeld? The characters were good and had well-developed, timeless personalities. But I didn't "relate" to them. I can't think of a single joke where I meant "haha that's happen to me!" or "LOL I know a guy who acted just like that!". Unless I'm missing his point, it seems like an invalid point.

He's also too harsh. Unbearable, insufferable, unendurable, inexcusable, unpardonable, indefensible, unjustifiable, deplorable, reprehensible, awful, appalling, abysmal, atrocious abomination? Um, dramatic much? It's not very good nowadays, but I wouldn't even be that harsh on most of my most disliked shows.

Decent review, some good points, but far from perfect, and nothing TOO original said, mostly the same old stuff only much longer.

  8. Good Neighbors

    Squid Wood

    Boating Buddies

If anyone can't take a hint to why I think the episode hatred is unfair, its about the abuse a certain squid takes. I think all three of these episodes are some of my favorite post movie SpongeBob episodes. Anywho, Squidward abuse has to be the most overused reason to hate an episode on any SpongeBob site. If you are a Squidward fan, then lighten up and actually watch the episodes and don't keep track of all that bad stuff that happens to Squidward. There is witty writing and these episodes are actually pretty funny. Judging an episode and whining about how much Squidward gets wronged is just silly if you ask me.

Even though I hate one of those episodes, I still agree. It's insane how upset people get because something bad happens to Squidward. Seriously, do people really love him that much that nothing bad can happen to him? HE'S A CARTOON ANIMAL! That's like saying the Roadrunner/Coyote cartoons suck because the Coyote always loses. It's a part of his character, he's a loveable loser.

If you call yourself a Squidward fan but don't like Squid abuse, you're not a fan of his, because that has been a major part of his character since the episode "Reef Blowers". Of course I don't even need to bring up the MASSIVE double standard of how everyone is perfectly fine with Squid abuse pre-season.

P.S. I dislike Good Neighbors for many other reasons that Squidward abuse, that's one of the smallest reasons I consider it the worst ever made. Squidwood is one of the second half of Season 4's best, and Boating Buddies is one of Season 6's finest.
