of course face freeze has no substance but i can't imagine ranking it as high on the list as some people might have done otherwise so i can;t really comment on that.
on the other hand i feel like squidward's school for grownups is like a slightly less bad version of professor squidward so i'm surprised to see that it's ranked higher on the list. i feel like the hate for professor squidward has dimmed with time and the hate for these lesser-known episodes is becoming more common. i don't necessarily agree but its nice to see diversity of episodes on the lists.

the hate for pet sitter pat seemed like kind of a fad, tbh i didn't like it and still don't but a lot of the hate it gets seems to be overblown. sure patrick sucks but it isnt his worst appearance imo.
whatever happened to spongebob has much more warranted hate, i remember i didn't even like that episode when i was a kid lol. the plot is tin as an ice sheet and the cheap amnesia device isnt even used very well. plus wtf is up with the greasers and everyone hating bubbles out of nowhere, i get it's a cartoon but designing the city to shit on spongebob was so contrived.

gone is still one of my favorite episodes of the season sorry lads, the end is funny as hell and if i lived in bikini bottom i’d probably participate in no spongebob day too. lol

Hoo boy.
If it wasn't Patrick's character being reduced to a plot device existing solely to torment Squidward for his bodily fluids, Squidward shaking and hiding from Patrick like a literal abuse victim after roughly the third scare, or even the citizens of Bikini Bottom unknowingly consuming Squidward's ink, it was the absence of any semblance of plot, coherency, or engagement. Nothing pushed me to continue watching this episode outside of the cringe-hype from pretty much everyone else around me telling me how awful the episode was-- and yet, with all this preparation, I somehow was still not prepared for what I saw. I'm not really sure how to arrange my thoughts on this particular episode in a way any more coherent than the episode itself, so instead enjoy this stream of consciousness of random stuff that bothered me:
- If a character is to be defined by their characteristics, and Patrick's only characteristic is "literal sociopath," then is Patrick even a character at all at this point? SpongeBob in itself has morphed into this awful "let's stretch four minutes of plot ideas into an eleven minute slot by forcing in as many shitty visual gags as we can to keep the viewers entertained," which functions only to distract from the plot and add personality where there is not. If you just read this episodes script sans any of the visual-based humor, you'd somehow be even more confused.
- What was up with that desperate reversal at the end where they tried to paint Squidward as the bad guy because he had the nerve to want to profit off of his own bodily fluids that Patrick was selling? It was clear as day they were trying to add in some sort of "both sides were in the wrong, so it's okay that Squidward has literally been a victim of abuse for the past nine minutes" garbage but the forced conflict was simply not it.
- Drawing inspiration from One Coarse Meal nine years and twenty thousand negative Internet reviews later is not a good look for Kaz nor for the network nor for anyone else involved in this cesspool of shit.

wellll to be honest i tend to like spongebob-squidward buddy plots that don't involve patrick so the first couple minutes of this episode were alright by me. the jokes with the trash were at least creative but i didn't laugh once during this episode which is a bit unfortunate considering these kinds of episodes with minimal plots are supposed to be funny? i guess the concept of patrick not wanting to give up his trash could've been funny but it came in a bit late. if the episode had been built around that or not had it at all i think it would've been better rather than pushing it until the end. the doll thing was stupid and they wasted too much time on random stuff like that which didn't benefit the episode so it lost marks for me there.

well at least it was funny and never got boring, despite the plot being weird/not really a plot at all. concept worked and helped parts where other stuff felt short. not sure if the making fun of religion stuff was on purpose or incidental but it worked pretty well either way. kind of weird how they set up a plot about spongebob diving only for half the episode to be about trash? maybe im missing something. ultimately still engaging enough to be good.

the problem with bunny hunt and with season 11 in general is that the animators are trying so desperately to distract you with a bunch of shittastic visual comedy to distract from lackluster writing/plots/actual humor etc. at least bunny hunt is upfront about it by basically just being 11 straight minutes of visual gags and a way-too-hyper-but-at-least-hes-not-being-an-asshole spongebob being a little worse than usual with the same "new animal fucks a bunch of shit up" plot they've done enough times at this point to warrant it as a sub-category. at least gary made it out unscathed this time.
good things: patrick, spongebob's comedically stupid ideas for getting rid of the bunny, bunny mating joke
bad things: the bunny itself, not really having a plot besides "shit get's fucked up" which i guess describes a large portion of s11

definitely not a fan of the cent of money. sure krabs got what he deserved by the end but it doesn't make up a significant enough portion of the episode to excuse the rest of the episode, which was just really bad. i feel like it tends to be forgotten in the slew of gary abuse episodes but is among the more frustrating of them all.
a day without tears seems to get pinpointed as the "spongebob flanderization episode" and it definitely is, nor are any of the jokes funny sry sry BUT i do think that it features some of the best character interactions in season s e v e n, doing what restraining spongebob i think tried to do but did not. if spongebob had been characterized better i think id like the episode.
