    The reason why everyone cared about Ernest Borgnine's death is because he was an actor honored by the elders. They will remember all the classics he's been in.

    Tom Kenny, however, isn't truly honored by anyone that is above the age of 30, and he's only voiced minor characters in shows outside of Spongebob

    I'm not saying he won't be remember; of course he will, but it wouldn't really matter to anyone that has passed their childhood.

    Agreed. He will still be remembered but by not as many

    Though on the otherhand, both young and old know of Tom Hanks so that would be a bigger shock since most have seen a Tom Hanks movie here or there. (Ex. Forrest Gump)
