For over one third of his life, Tom has been lending his voice to some of our favorite characters ever that have brought so much joy and laughter to our lives!! And of course, Tom has voiced a vast array of other characters over his career, such as The Ice King in Adventure Time, Heffer Wolfe in Rocko’s Modern Life, Lumpus in Camp Lazlo, Eduardo in Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends, The Narrator and Mayor in Powerpuff Girls, Dog in CatDog, Spyro The Dragon, and so much more!! Hey everyone!
I have an important question for anyone here who has seen The SpongeBob Musical live on Broadway. The show looks absolutely incredible and I really want to see it, but here's the thing. I have a hearing condition and I'm not supposed to expose myself to very loud, sudden noises because it could be damaging to my ears, so can anyone tell me if the show has anything like that in it? Like I’m talking about things like gunshots, cannons, explosions, fireworks, stuff like that. Can anyone tell me if the musical has any special effects like that, or any other really loud noises? I'm fine with stuff like loud music and pre-recorded sound effects, it's only stuff like live explosions and cannons that I need to watch out for.
The entire show is on YouTube and I watched most of it, there are a few parts in particular that I'm concerned with. For anyone who has seen the musical live, can you please tell me more about the parts listed below and how they sound live? I will post the link to the video on YouTube and the exact times in the video that the parts are, so you can watch the, to refresh your memory and know what I'm talking about. 1. In the opening musical number, when they first introduce Sandy in her treedome, an explosion is heard right before Sandy sings. Is this just a pre-recorded sound effect, or is it like an actual explosion? How loud is it? At 5 minutes, 34 seconds into the video.
2. When SpongeBob throws the device into the volcano and the bright lights come on, what is the sound that is heard in the video? Is this just the sound of the lights turning on, or is it like an explosion? How loud is it? At 2 hours and 8 seconds into the video.
3. When they jump off of the volcano, the parachute is released by what seems to be an air cannon under the stage. How loud is this sound, can you compare it to something? At 2 hours, 1 minute and 30 seconds into the video.
4. During the finale at the very end, they release confetti and streamers through confetti cannons. How loud are these? Do you hear them loudly or does the music mostly cover the sounds up? At 2 hours, 12 minutes and 40 seconds into the video.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further clarification about any of these. Also, if there are any other parts of the show that involve loud bangs, pops, explosions, or anything like that, please let me know! I really appreciate it, this would be a huge help to me. HAPPY 18TH ANNIVERSARY SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!! That's right, as we all know, 18 years ago today, on May 1st, 1999, the very first episode of SpongeBob SquarePants premiered on Nickelodeon!! That episode, "Help Wanted" / "Reef Blower" / "Tea At The Treedome", is one we should all know... We see SpongeBob first get his job at the Krusty Krab, clean his lawn, and meet Sandy Cheeks for the very first time!! It's certainly a classic. I certainly cannot believe that this wonderful show has been on for 18 years... that's almost old as me, I was only a few months old when it premiered!! And I am very proud to say that I have been its biggest fan ever since then. This show has brought me hours and hours of laughter, fun times, good vibes, and uplifting positivity!! SpongeBob has gotten me through it all, and I know that no matter what, he and his everlasting adventures will always be there for me whenever I need to escape to the beautiful undersea world of Bikini Bottom. The memories have been countless, from reciting entire episode scripts and random SpongeBob trivia facts for my friends to meeting him in person lots of times to celebrating every moment of this franchise's energetic life!! And doing projects on this series has gotten me lots of high grades throughout my years of school, including college!! So as I watch the very first episode again for what is probably the thousandth time, I say, thank you SpongeBob SquarePants. Thank you and your amazing cast and crew for 18 glorious years of laughs, adventure, comfort, positivity, and pure awesomeness!! Hey guys! So as we all know, today, July 17th, marks the 17th anniversary of the original premiere of thr second episode of SpongeBob SquarePants, "Bubblestand" / "Ripped Pants"!! This date is significant because some consider this to be the "official" premiere of the show, even though it wasn't the first episode aired. I hope we all celebrated this day by BRINGING IT AROUND TOWN!!!! And the show is still going strong!! I have this wonderful show to thank for always helping me to stay positive and to just have fun with life!! So as we all know today was the 16-year anniversary of the premiere of "Help Wanted" / "Reef Blower" / "Tea At The Treedome, the first ever SpongeBob episode!! It's so hard to believe that this show has been on for 16 years! To celebrate I rewatched the first episode again today, did anyone else do anything special?

So as we all know, today marks 1 WEEK until the release of "Sponge Out Of Water"!!!!
So are you guys doing anything special to prepare for it? As for me, throughout the month I've been rewatching the whole entire series from the beginning! I'm also doing a playthrough of the video game of the first Movie on my YouTube channel (my YouTube name is stupidhead10001 if you want to look me up). And just today I went on a shopping spree for Movie merchandise and got a whole bunch of stuff, including the Hot Topic t-shirt with all the superheroes on it, which I will be wearing to the Movie! So what are you guys doing to prepare? Anything special? Either way, we only have 168 more hours until one of the BEST DAYS EVER!!!!
Wait, only 7 days... We gotta climb things, we gotta jump off of stuff, we gotta RIDE!!!! -

Hi guys,
So I turned 16 this past weekend and I want to have a SpongeBob-themed birthday party. I was wondering if anyone here has any ideas on how to make it an age-appropriate party while still being completely SpongeBob themed. I will be inviting a bunch of my friends from school (I'm in the 11th grade) so I don't want them to feel like the party is too childish or anything. So I was hoping some of you could give me some ideas on how I should put the party together. What kinds of decorations, entertainment, food, etc. should I have? What would be the best venue for this party? What should I give out as party favors? Please let me know your ideas on how to make it as awesome as possible. Also keep in mind that I don't have a huge budget for this party. And like I said, I'm trying to find ways to make it SpongeBob-themed but not too childish, and appropriate for teenagers. I know that earlier this year Pharrell Williams had a SpongeBob birthday party so I was thinking of ways to do something a bit like that, but of course I can't do anything nearly as elaborate on my budget. So let me know if you have any ideas for how I should go about doing this. Thanks so much, guys!

So yesterday I was eating one of those Go-Gurt tubes with the SpongeBob trivia questions on them, and one of the answers was really stupid. The question was, "According to SpongeBob, what is a fry cook's most powerful tool?" I thought the answer was obvious, it's a spatula, right? But their answer: "Raw Onions". What?! When did SpongeBob ever mention onions as a fry cook's most powerful tool? If anyone knows what they're referring to, please tell me, but I think that whoever made that question made a mistake. What do you guys think?

You may remember me if you were on the SpongeBob Wiki during the time when they actually had comment sections on articles. I always like to read what people think of new episodes, so I've been coming here for quite some time, but now that I have more time on my hands I will be contributing to the discussion for new episodes from now on. Anyway, here's what I thought of "SpongeBob, You're Fired!":
I LOVED this episode!!!! In my opinion, this is one of the best, if not the best, episode of Season 9 so far. The beginning was cute, I loved how SpongeBob split himself into tiny SpongeBobs to clean the dishes. The scene where he gets fired is very good because it just seems so... real. There isn't any dramatic build-up, Mr. Krabs just gives it to him straight. I do think it's a bit ridiculous that he got fired just for a nickel, but Mr. Krabs would sell SpongeBob's sould for 62 cents, so... maybe it's not too far of a stretch. I loved the "canned", "pink-slipped" and "axed" puns. When SpongeBob started to cry it made me genuinely sad. It literally broke my heart a bit to see him that way. I don't think I've seen anything as depressing on SpongeBobb since "Have You Seen This Snail?". This is a good thing, it means that the scene was very powerful and it touched my heart. So I think it was very well done, and representative of what happend in the workforce every day (not the crying part, the part where really good employees get laid off just to save some money). And to anyone who says SpongeBob cries too much: He just had his lifelong dream crushed before his eyes. You would cry, too!
The scene with SpongeBob coming home to Gary is depressing at first, but it was really heartwarming how Gary comforted SpongeBob. SpongeBob is right, there's nothing like the unconditional love of a pet! It was also really sweet how Patrick was upset by SpongeBob's crying. That is a true friend! And it was hilarious when SpongeBob couldn't say he got "fired" and Patrick started naming foods that started with F, especially when he said "I can't think of any more foods that begin with C!".
The "Early The Next Morning" time card looked really cool.
SpongeBob's appearance the next morning was quite depressing, especially his "Best Day Ever" mug... for some reason, this really pulled on my heart, probably the idea of SpongeBob making a slight attempt at cheering himself up, but failing miserably. Patrick trying to teach SpongeBob the joys of "fun-employment" was really funny, especially with SpongeBob trampling Squidward's petunias and trying to stick to Patrick's rock using Gary's snail slime.
It was cute how SpongeBob pulled off a piece of himself, dunked it in his coffee, then ate it, only to have it grow right back. I loved the scene with Sandy. Patrick's second head was hilarious, as was Sandy's "psychological experiment". I thought it was awesome how Sandy was concerned about SpongeBob and tried to cheer him up and get him back on his feet (Spandy Moment!), and how Patrick encouraged SpongeBob to follow his heart. It was really great to see SpongeBob revert back to his positive, happy self thanks to his friends' encouragement. This was really inspiring! It was so great to hear SponheBob's trademark "I'm Ready!" again, we haven't heard that in a very long time!
The scenes of SpongeBob trying out jobs at those fast-food places were well done, too. The Weenie Hut, Pizza Piehole, Taco Sombrero, and Wet Noodle were all very creative and I love how each owner wears a costume of his restaurant's primary menu item, and how each owner is named after this food item (Mr. Weiner, Pizza Pete, Señor Taco, and Noodle Guy). I also love how The Weenie Hut is a reference to Weenie Hut Jr.'s. It was funny seeing SpongeBob make patties out of each food item and then get fired for it, and then mistake each restaurant owner for Mr. Krabs and complain about getting fired. It was sad to see him cry so much but this was justifiable. I also liked the snarky comments SpongeBob made to each restaurant owner when he got fired.
It was realy nice to hear SpongeBob refer to the snail food by it's brand name, Snailpo, this was a nice nod to the earlier seasons. I like how SpongeBob made his own snail food, this scene showed that SpongeBob was able to become happy by making others happy.
It was hilarious to see SpongeBob get kidnapped by the fish in the hot dog costumes and kept as prisoner in The Weenie Hut. It got even more wacky when each fast-food restaurant owner tried to capture SpongeBob and almost ended up ripping him to pieces! This was a fantastic and hilarious scene. I loved how the Krabby Patty Man turned out to be Squidward... to be honest I really didn't see that coming! It was so touching and heartwarming how Squidward was the one to invite SpongeBob back to the Krusty Krab... he didn't want to admit it, but you could tell that Squidward really did care. It was also great seeing SpongeBob and Mr. Krabs make up, perhaps Mr. Krabs will try to be a bit less cheap from now on. I literally let out a cheer when SpongeBob exclaimed "My life has purpose again!"! It was great seeing SpongeBob restore the Krusty Krab, he's back and better than ever!
I do admit that this ending was sort of predictable, but it was still really well executed and quite touching and heartwarming, I felt. I knew The Krusty Krab couldn't last without SpongeBob! It was cool to see all the fast-food restaurant owners eating together at The Krusty Krab. The ending with the 5-cent fee to use the bathroom was funny as well, but I do feel bad for Old Man Jenkins! I hope he found his nickel.
If I could make one suggestion to the writers, it would be this: what they cold have done is have Mr. Krabs say, "Sorry, SpongeBob, but a nickel's a nickel. Besides, I just burned the last of the patties and now me customers are gone! I need to come up with a gimmick to get them back." At this point, SpongeBob would say, "I have an idea!" and the scene would cut to SpongeBob serving Hot Dog Patties, Pizza Patties, Taco Patties, and Noodle Patties to many happy customers including the fast-food restaurant owners. SpongeBob would then be hired back. An ending ike this might flesh out the episode and give some added meaning to SpongeBob's job hunting. But don't get me wrong, I still LOVE the ending we got!
All in all, "SpongeBob, You're Fired!" was a cute, clever, funny, original, deep, and powerful episode. From the wacky plot to the characters' personalities to the references to old episodes, this episode is one of mt very favorites, not only from Season 9, but of all time! I like how the episode promotes the power of optimism, friendship, and perseverance, while also teaching a bit about the economy. I absolutely LOVE this episode and I give it a 10 out of 10!

I'm not sure if this counts, but... in Yarmouth, Cape Cod, they have this park with a bunch of inflatable bounce houses, slides, etc. One of them is a giant SpongeBob ball pit! Here's a picture.

I love Spandy. There are so many hints, from the Survival Guide to the "SpongeBob's Secret Valentine" book to the show to the "Best Day Ever" short. It's very clear to me that they do like each other as more than friends. You can see the chemistry between them from the very first time they met. I truly think they are in love, even if it is just "puppy love" (which is still very cute). I think it would be awesome if they got together! A lot of people might say that it would change the show a lot and that it wouldn't fit the nature of the show, but I think it would work great if they handled it in a humorous, lighthearted way.
If done right, it would make for some very cute episodes and moments. They wouldn't have to have too many Spandy-centered episodes, in the beginning they would but after that it could be mostly in the background. This could really enhance the show, take ot to a whole new level and open many new doors for it. A lot of people are also concerned that it would ruin their characters, but this would not necessarily be the case. Sandy could handle a relationship, so it probably wouldn't be too weird for her, and SpongeBob is the one who would be in unfamiliar territory. However, this does not mean he would have to change.
Sure, we would be seeing a whole new side of his character, but he could still stay true to himself and make it work. Just as long as he stays his kind, humorous, funny, carefree self, he would be fine. Also, he could mature from the experience and become an even better character, and the same goes for Sandy. If handled this way, a more serious Spandy relationship on the show could be a great thing. For now, though, I'm good with the subtle hints. Maybe we'll get something more in the new Movie next year. I do think they will end up together. I will always be a hardcore Spandy shipper. SPANDY FOR THE WIN!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!!!!!!! Today, July 14th, is our favorite Sponge’s 37th birthday!!!! SpongeBob has given us an ocean of laughs for almost 35 years over the course of close to 300 episodes and counting, plus three feature films and a fourth on the way, and several spin-off movies as well as two spin-off series, a Broadway Musical, and countless video games, books, songs, toys, specials, and much more!! SpongeBob has had a worldwide impact, bringing smiles and laughs to everyone around the globe!! The Sponge is a one-of-a-kind cultural force for multiple generations, as can be seen through countless SpongeBob memes!! And for me personally, SpongeBob has been a constant force of light, positivity, happiness, and pure joy throughout my whole life!! Thank you SpongeBob, and thank you to everyone who has brought the world to Bikini Bottom to life over the years!! Thank you to the legendary Stephen Hillenburg for creating this beautiful show, and thank you to Tom Kenny for being the voice of SpongeBob and so many other characters (also a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tom Kenny yesterday)!! Thank you to all of the show’s voice actors, writers, animators, directors, producers, and to everyone who has ever helped make it so amazing!!
