...that looks beautiful? lmao. I doubt it's griefing. Isn't there just empty buildings over there anyways?

I agree, which is why I moved it elsewhere. And it definitely was griefing, I know what I built there lmao

Blue building was there on July 2nd when this photo was taken, I didn't go onto SpongeCraft on July 3rd, and then on July 4th it's completely gone and Steve is in its place. So, yes, somebody took it down.

  2. If I could vote (and I miss the election by about 6 months), I would vote for Jill Stein of the Green Party. I cannot stomach a Hillary Vote. I *hate* strategic voting, trying to figure out what other people are going to do. Vote your conscience and who you believe would be the best person to lead the U.S. for the next four years. We need to drastically alter the way this country does elections and rid ourselves of the "first-round-the-post" voting system because it makes it virtually impossible for there to be a viable third party candidate, and that detrimentally narrows the number of possible candidates to two – for a country of 320 million people across a vast political spectrum. That's ridiculous.

I definitely think Gary Johnson will get to 15% in the polls (I think he was at like 12% in one poll a few weeks ago?) but I don't think he can beat either Hillary or Donald. Hillary will most likely be the next president, and while I think much of the hate funneled towards her is unwarranted, she isn't the visionary leader we need at the moment. She's a realist (not necessarily a bad thing, but a bit complacent), more of the same, a typical politician of the Washington elite who constantly shifts her views – which, again, is not a bad thing. I think politicians should represent what their constituents want. But she runs on her "record" which is bullshit. Blegh. No thanks.

  3. In a massive political upset, the United Kingdom has voted to become the first state to leave the European Union in what could have devastating financial consequences for the UK.

a trip to London will be cheaper now tho :D

Scotland may also leave the UK itself now, as remaining a part of the EU was one of the major reasons it voted to remain a part of the EU in 2014.

It's also worthy to note that this referendum is not legally binding and the British government could still technically choose to go against it (very unlikely considering the Leave camp received over a million more votes than the Remains did).

The British pound has already dropped 9% to levels unseen since 1985.

Okay, are we really going to pull the cis white male argument?

    http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/attacks/attacks.aspx?Yr=Last30

2180 people in 32 different countries were killed by Islamic extremists. In the past thirty days. And notice how I'm intentionally leaving out the murders that took place a few days ago. Granted, most of these occurred in African or Middle Eastern countries, but that hardly changes anything. Now you name me acts of Christian terrorism that have happened in this time frame, because I highly doubt it'll exceed 226 (if it does I'll eat my hat).

Oh, and for all of you bitching about the Atlantis Slave Trade, keep in mind that the Arab Slave Trade lasted for five times longer, and enslaved both Europeans and Africans alike. Despite its legal status, it is still practiced in parts of the Islamic world.

    http://www.faithfreedom.org/Articles/SStephan/islamic_slavery.htm

    http://www.albawaba.com/news/middle-east-slavery-528324

Also keep in mind that the EEVIL cis white males were the first race to outlaw slavery, and the first to create a secular society legal freedom of religion (something most nations with an Islamic majority have a difficult time implementing, or otherwise retaining).

I'm not saying all Christians are innocent, or that all Muslims are guilty, as that would be an incredibly rash assertion. But blaming the white Christian male for everything is equally silly and unprovoked, especially when you consider that most of media outlet, such as CNN, are owned by Jews (who themselves have a beef with Muslims).

But then again, one of you has a profile picture of Bernie Sanders, so I'm not sure why I'm even bothering.

Who was blaming the white Christian male for everything? If you took time to read my post, you would see that I clearly stated:

I think in the post 9/11 decade, there have been Islamist extremism than that of Christianity, but as a whole, Christians (as far as I can tell) have been just as bad as Muslims...Being that Islam and Christianity share the Old Testament and are essentially brother religions, I'd venture to say they're both responsible for a majority of the world's anguish – not one disproportionately more than the other.

You are getting your information from a website called "The Religion of Peace," which appears to be dedicated entirely to discrediting Islam, so not sure how reliable that is. I believe the most recent act of blatant Christian terrorism in the United States was the Planned Parenthood shooting in late November of last year. One of the most devastating terrorist attacks in American history (I believe it's only second to 9/11) was the Oklahoma City bombing. Done by, guess who? A Christianist.

I don't believe any "race" is evil, so, sure, we can praise the whites if you'd like for outlawing slavery. That's irrelevant to me because I don't hold humanity's achievements captive by color. My argument with the slaveholders was that they justified their continued use of slavery in the United States long after Great Britain had outlawed it with (largely) economic and moral arguments. Beyond the fact that it was an integral financial structure in the South, it was also an indelible part of their culture and a lot of the support for the continuation of slavery stemmed from the Bible (Leviticus 25:44, Colossians 4:1, Deuteronomy 23:15, Titus 2:9 for a few examples).

White males were not the first race to outlaw slavery; the Qin Dynasty in China did that in 221 B.C.

While white males were the first to enshrine a constitutional right to the freedom of religion, India has been a very tolerant country for much of its history.

They aren't successful in maintaining religious freedom because their governments are either inherently based on Sharia Law and an Islamist foundation or they have a state religion. And has the United States truly been a role model in this area either? Since it was founded, the vast majority of people have been Protestant Christians. As minority religions have grown, we haven't exactly done a great job in incorporating Islam and Judaism and Buddhism into mainstream culture. The same could be said about Middle Eastern countries; their majority religion is Islam and fringe religions are not as prevalent. Additionally, perhaps the reason they have had so much trouble is because the United States and friends have fucked things up so badly in that region of the world.

Right, let's blame the Jews for everything.

A lot of conservatives think they're being courageous and bold when they ditch what's "P.C." when really they're just being assholes.

Alright @Halibutand @tvguy, try not to go too deep into the subject, we can discuss this calmly but no arguments against each other will be allowed.

There's extremists in just about every religion, there's even Buddhist and Jewish extremists but that doesn't mean they represent an entire faith. It sucks to learn that people like the gunman have to resort to violence over a certain point of view. If I had certain points of views i'd keep them to myself and not make other people pay for something they're not guilty of. Of course, there will always be those that generalize certain people groups but you shouldn't believe everything the media tells you, minorities are sometimes too vocal that they get more attention than the majority of one group, its sad but its what it happens in a lot of places. I can only hope this doesn't cause more islamophobia which is unfair to normal and peaceful muslims.

We were being anything but calm? This is a forum, for discussing things. Unless Halibut or I posted anything offensive, neither of us broke any SBC Rules bud.

Well that phrase might be a bit wrong, so if I can make it statistically right, we can do "There's obviously more Islamist extremists who commit attacks and kill a ton of people than Christian extremists who do it."

There are Christian nutjobs out there for sure, but statistically speaking, the amount of times they commit heinous acts in the name of their religion doesn't even come close to what the Islamic extremists do. The day we go out fighting Christian extremists is the day they're willing to bomb a bunch of crap all over Europe and the Middle East.

Can you consider these people true Muslims? Slaveholders in the US justified their system of bondage with their faith. I think in the post 9/11 decade, there have been Islamist extremism than that of Christianity, but as a whole, Christians (as far as I can tell) have been just as bad as Muslims. Historically, in Europe, Christians of different sects have killed other Christians at a huge rate. St. Bart's Massacre, anyone? Being that Islam and Christianity share the Old Testament and are essentially brother religions, I'd venture to say they're both responsible for a majority of the world's anguish – not one disproportionately more than the other.

That being said, the sensationalist media definitely plays up Islam as an evil religion more than it does Christianity, and I think that's because the western world is largely Christian. There is an East v. West mentality that they seem to like, an "us" v. "them" that is required to exist for whatever reason. I think that this has also inspired a lot of people to take up arms and commit acts of terror and put it arbitrarily under the banner of Islam.

I wonder if this attack had been carried out by a Christian – and it's very plausible it could have been – if the Republicans crying "radical Islam" would have similarly labeled it "radical Christianity."

Additionally, Islamic terrorists are in the minority. The overwhelming majority of terrorist attacks in the world are carried out by non-Muslims, which is not the message you'd be conveyed if you turned on the TV.

Yeah, if you look at history every religion has done heinous things, but it's just puzzling how radical muslims are doing these awful things. We don't hear about radical christians shooting up a nightclub, do we?

    18 minutes ago, Halibut said:

Yeah, but Islam obviously has a higher amount of people who follow their holy book word-for-word and do evil things as a result (which is evident by how many terror attacks are in the name of Islam), and that's essentially why eliminating extremism and fundamentalism with Islam should be a main priority.

    you're kidding right

Wumbo's post is fire and I see what you're saying but I think the Al Jean period was lowkey 9A, where the problems you talked about in the OP are there in spades

the background music is ridiculously annoying and every time I see SpongeBob, Patrick and Squidward outside their houses in the daytime like they have been for nearly 20 years now it does feel repetitive and annoying, but I do think that this newest batch has done a good job of keeping the environments fresh and the newer animation is fantastic imo.

The episodes you watched were some of the season's more average fare.

    is 9A pre-movie or what
