  2. I haven't re watched either episode (lazy) but I'll give my take on 5. SpongeBob You're Fired

wAtCh Me bE An aPoLoGisT aND thEn bASh cLoWns AnD faRMerbOb (the former now being my least favorite episode for now)

Now, SBYF has one of the most uninspired and stupid premises ever, its a bland idea, but even so, why would SpongeBob get fired from his job, da fuq...
The episode poorly (its the only way possible really) has this be done by having SB be fired over like a nickle Krabs can save. Its just stupid, and its obvious this episode was likely the result of executive meddling on the studio as WhoBob points out

so from that you're expecting me to hate this episode, as I do think it has a horribly uninspired premise.

Well the episode just kinda exists, the setup to it (if memory serves) is rather mediocre and dull. As the episode progresses, it actually gets decent, and while the events you see later only happen because of that dumb premise, I find SB trying to work at restaurants and failing, then squiddy saving him kinda enjoyable, it is in no way remarkable, but its serviceable.

Now I do not really remember this episode much, and my opinion could probably change on rewatch, but for now SpongeBob You're Fired is an episode that at least felt focused, and actually becomes a bit enjoyable, but it has an absolutely stupid premise, 4.5/10, for now.....

  3. 12. Keep Bikini Bottom Beautiful, this is currently my least favorite episode of the show... yeah its fucking utter garbage and I'm happy to see it to make a such a huge increase, but lets talk about it
So while this episode actually feels focused and coherent unlike FarmerBob and Don't Feed the Clowns, its insufferable. One of Squidward's character traits is that he is egotistical, which is present in this episode, it is his motive, but I do not know if the episode is trying to make you feel bad for him or not, his suffering makes sense but just feels forced and annoying, plus is what most of this episode is. The cop and his tickets is ironically funny (beat that season 11!), but unironically its baaaaaaaad, its more if I should feel bad for Squid and the joke is just annoying, padding out the episode. -1/10.

So this episode feels more focused but insufferable, maybe it'll drop someday but for now its the worst episode.

    11. Someone's in the Kitchen in Sandy, another horrible episode, its boring and goes nowhere, -1/10.

  4. 36. Waiting, has some bad spongebob characterization but it is honestly funny, 7.5/10 whatever.

    24. Fungus Among Us is now 5.5/10, I like the gross out, and it progresses fine, but the foreshadowing feels kinda weak because its pretty obvious but SpongeBob himself is the issue, his behavior is just uggggh. I do not mind Patrick or Krabs in post-movie, they are honestly fine, SpongeBob however gets some of the worst characterization during post movie.

    16. Slide Whistle Stooges, I tried to like this one but it suuuuuuucks, 2/10.

You know how Coffee_Lover questions defense for Face Freeze, yeah I'm like that with 15. One Coarse Meal, except the opposite, this episode is one of the best of the whole show's run and I do not really understand why its bad. While I think like this, at the end of the day, these are opinions, over SpongeBob, so I do not mind at all if you dislike this episode but here goes my take...

The episode starts with a very good set up, funny, and gives Plankton's conflict. I know people find Krabs to be an ass for scaring Plankton but it does not feel out of character. Krabs is crazy over Plankton, so this is not surprising, though extreme.

We also get why Plankton is scared of whales, and his dream, both pretty enjoyable. Yeah Karen does not care but shes always been like that to Plankton. Plankton going crazy is also something I find entertaining, I like the idea of a character going crazy, adds some interest into the episode. Plankton wanting to die is sooooo minor so yeah, funny tho.

As for SpongeBob backstabbing Plankton, he is the enemy, so I feel indifferent.

so yeah, a pretty funny and weird trip of an episode, I do not feel like the episode was overly edgy, not really edgy even.

10/10, this maaaay be in my top 25, at least 50.

now I'm hoping the episode with the authority and his huge set of tickets reaches some huge heights here in the bottom 10, only time will tell..... (have me commentate this episode)

  5. 18. The Splinter: Uhh..., booooring but with some good humor, Meh 5.5/10.

    17. Boating Buddies: SpongeBob sucks but its funny, Meh 5.5/10.

Some random things to note, I feel like SpongeBob is the only character who worsened as the show continued, and I think its for the worst, he becomes just a happy maniac with not much emotion save for crying, its funny but admittedly very annoying, as for Patrick's stupidity, Krab's greed, and Squidward's egotistical nature, I do not mind.

Post-Movie may not be as good as I expected but I feel like it is able to keep itself together unlike say, Don't Feed the Clowns, FarmerBob, and Patnocchio.

I should just watch a better show

  6. 24. Fungus Among Us: I think this episode has a creative idea, but the foreshadowing feels much to obvious and the plot points, SpongeBob also comes off as pretty stupid, with his behavior creating the poor foreshadowing, but... this episode is still enjoyable, the gross out, spongebob itching himself, and some other stuff, 7/10.

    21. The Main Drain: Might as well die. This one is just very average, I like the character interactions a bit though its a pretty slow episode and with a plot hole, only resolved with a dumb twist ending, 6/10.

    20. Little Yellow Book: This one oddly enjoyable, but it does not do much and eventually gets dull, 6.5/10.

Looking at the previous year's list, it seems like some certain episode I consider the show's worst (no, not FarmerBob or Don't Feed the Clowns) might've shot up really high.

Hint: it has a lot of tickets.

    • Thanks 1
  7. where's farmerbob

jk but I think I'll just post my opinions on the episodes once the list is over

    though

The Nitwitting: I like the concept but its your average Season 11-12 episode that goes all over the place, but its more coherent than the worst, such as FarmerBob and Don't Feed the Clowns, which makes episodes like Stuck in the Wringer and A Pal for Gary look tolerable, 3/10.

  8. 50. The Fish Bowl is a very odd episode, I honestly enjoy the conflict between SpongeBob and Patrick, yeah Patrick is a dick but idc, its fun and crazy, and I do not care about the ending because its just a gag and to the characters Squidward was annoying and deserves it, 9/10.

    49. Pineapple Fever is another fun episode, I like how stupid the jokes are and how everyone goes crazy, though it drags on at some points, 8/10.

    48. Gone, this one is hella surreal, I do wish the episode focused more on the fact SpongeBob is slowly going into a descent into madness, and yeah the ending exists but I do not mind it because I dunno, but I do see why to others it hurts the whole episode, 9/10.

    41. The Card, this one actually sucks, but unlike what most others think, its SpongeBob who I dislike here, I get he cares about this card and hes a nice guy, but he could had just asked Patrick for it or something, but instead you get SpongeBob being annoying. Also, Patrick is harmless here, he just acts like Patrick, its pretty boring. Also lame premise. 4/10

    I'll get to 47-42 eventually.

  9. 10/10 the whole way through

the episode doesn't even focus on spongebob yet its one of the best in the show

one of 4 episodes that should be inducted into the national film registry
