  1. I mean no offense to anyone here, but why do I have a feeling he's trying to attract the tumblr crowd with his newest videos?

If you're referring to his SU videos I wouldn't assume so. I mean tumblr loves the show but the show doesn't really pander to anything. He seems to be a fan of it, and he's already discussed so much of Spongebob already. Of course it doesn't hurt that it's a big fandom so he can use that but If he's doing it, it's not obvious in a mustache twirling kid of way.

  2. what was the one of the pc games that had robots to fight, that was the one I had, I remember most Patrick man throwing cans, spongebob at a magic shop, and mr krabs finding gold and boxing with robots, the sandy section's difficulty was from a different game. IDK loads of fun probably got 2000-3000 or so hours on it

    September 9th, 2015 - ??? PM ET/PT - 1?? - The Executive Treatment / Squid Plus One

Straight from Vincent's twitter, it looks like we have two new episodes September 9th. That is a Wednesday, so I have no idea what's happening that day unless Nick is doing weekly Wednesday premieres like Cartoon Network's New Thursdays. Just today however, he revealed the titles of both episodes, along with the synopsis of one.

The Executive Treatment: Patrick is mistaken for a business man.
    Squid Plus One: TBA

    Source: https://twitter.com/VincentWaller72/status/630751107770224640

Will update this when we get more information.

The first one has high risk/reward. I can easily see it hilarious or being another bust of a patrick episode.

I'll have faith because the Post movie premiere was good but we'll see.

The other one tackles squidward so lets see if crazy squidward becomes a thing in season 9 :D

    All I can think of.

This bothered me as it was a pretty darn funny joke in a boring episode.

edit: Sorry for not multiquoting im used to a few other forums that automatically combine posts if done by the same user

    MOD EDIT: Merged. :)

    23. Spongebob meets the strangler

While the previous " Darker episodes " make their humor well known in absurdity aka Nasty Patty, this one shines with slapstick. Spongebob being the well wishing follow the rules guy that he is narcs on a guy throwing trash onto the ground. This leads to the guy getting arrested and shortly escaping as the spongebob learns of his identity as a man who strangles tattletales and he's gonna be next. The Strangler puts on a cheap disguise and offers to be his bodyguard. What follows next is spongebob thwarting the guy with running errands and when the guy escapes spongebob chases after him until he goes to jail.

The slapstick and spongebob's trust in the bodyguard are hilarious to see. The plot is pretty entertaining as well as he have that " silly suspense " with not knowing whats gonna happen next and on the edge of are seats even though this dude obviously aint gonna kill spongebob. This is a very good episode.

Favorite moment: Patrick being accused of being the strangler, and then meeting him in jail.

    22. Wishing you well.

I liked this episode a lot when I came out. The idea and premise is a lot " safer " than a lot of season 3 episodes but it brings back some of season 1 whimsical-ness couple with great animation. I liked the goofiness of Spongebob and Patrick and how they interacted with squidward. Predictable as this may be it had laughs, was funny and dare I say a bit heartwarming. I also like the song.

    This was a good episode.

    Favorite moment: " I'm claustrophobic " - Squidward, " what does that mean " - Patrick. " It means he's afraid of Santa Claus. " - Spongebob. " Hohoho " - Patrick. " Stop it Patrick, you're scaring him"

    21. Plankton's pet

This was a post season 5 episode that I knew would get on the list, albeit a little higher than I would have guessed. You have plankton having a lot of care for this pet and it's nice to see that even evil can love. The pets adorable and it's a cute little episode.

    This is a good episode

Favorite moment: Spot scaring off all the other animals by growing. Didn't see that coming but well done.

20 and 19 already reviewed thanks to wumbo!

    18. Idiot box

I like this episode but the humor doesn't grab me as much as the others who watched this got it. In the same way this is an evolution of " the paper " and I merely had that as ok. The gags are good but I think a lot of it is due to me just being a visual and word humor guy. I don't know what to say here.

    It's a decent episode.

    17. Welcome to the Chum Bucket

OK everyone loves the song first of all but the rest of this episode ain't too shabby. It has a good amount of jokes such as Spongebob being spoiled and freaking out about being in a new place. This show obviously helps krabs character as it shows he lost a someone like a son to him. It's very amusing and didn't make my top 25 buts it a good episode.

  5. Updating my old one since it felt lazy.

Squidward deserve his abuse most of the time. One of  the fee times he didn't deserve it were Giant Squidward, Boating Buddies, Celaphod Lodge, and Squid's Visit. There may be more but that's all I'm gonna list.

Most season 6 episodes weren't bad but they were flawed.

Season 8 was a step-up. I don't understand where the hate is coming from. (it's getting more hate lately compared to 4 years ago where post movie haters even liked it)

    Choir boys?

  6. S1: I was a teenage gary: Just so weird, a bit uncomfortable to see they never change back even though continuity doesn't matter in SB.

S2: Dumped: For many of the same reasons as 1, not a lot of jokes, a cliched " let the pet decide" and the plot twist was lame.

S3: UGH: I dont know why this episode doesnt get more hate, it's really stretched, the Patchy segments do nothing, huge lack of jokes.

S4: The thing: Squidward abuse for no reason, in a lot of episodes it is still funny, this is completely boring.

S5: Goo goo gas: Spongebob goes out of its way to make babies disgusting and its cliche Krabs - Plankton. Boring.

S6: Choir Boys: As someone who is a singer, this episode takes no advantages of the humor available. Spongebob is also a huge jerk.

S7: Pal for Gary: Spongebob deserved gary to run away from him after this episode. I cant believe him in it.

This took a while to figure out while some may say season 6 is the worst, there are like 10 episodes I hate here

S8: Demolition Doofus: Character assassination, what puff is doing to spongebob and what the writers did to puff here.

S9:Little Yellow Book: Hate everything this stands for and its a snoozefest.

  7. Missed a lot hot damn

    28. SB-129

This episode I'm surprised is so high. It was sort of interesting to see squidward and Patrick and Spongebob in different eras and I liked the time machine idea but it's pretty vanilla IMO.

    This is an OK episode.

    Favorite moment: The alone sequence.

    27. Life of crime

This episode is a very funny one. It's got a lot of humor in the first part. It's story is very simple but the jokes are killer. Spongebob and Patrick breakdown about their supposed crime is hilarious. You got the opening with Krabs lying about stealing things, Patrick freaking out as Spongebob eats the chocolate bar, the scene when their running to the cops. Heck even the covering their footsteps with paint and the street performers got laughs.

This is a elite episode. This will definitely rise in my next list.

Favorite moment: " We're not talking about a hijacking or a mail fraud scheme, we stole a balloon and their gonna lock us up forever.

    26. Big pink loser

This ranked in my top 5 and then for some reason I miscopied it on my list when I turned it into wumbo...

The whole episode was great. It's probably the closest thing to a Patrick feels episode and still is done funny. The whole trophy closet gag and the ajr scenes are done very well. Then Patrick copies Spongebob to a creepy extent as he tries to get one award. The one he does at the end isn't really a shock but it's set up well an a good nice ending for Patrick. This is a elite episode.

Favorite moment: " At least I'm safe inside my mind " scene where Spongebob is trying to get Patrick to stop copying him.

    25. Sandy spongbob and the worm.

This episode is an early one that while it has good humor relies on plot and character development to get most of it's attention. The worm chase scene is very well done. It has good action for a Spongebob show, and it gets you excited in a " real men sweat Gatorade " kind of way.

The townspeople are funny when they are discussing what to do. The Whole scene where there debating what the town people should do besides the " take bikini bottom and push it somewhere else " iconic meme, I like the two ones before and after it. The knight saying we should build a moat Is random for even Spongebob. Squidward's response is some chuckle-worthy biting humor "that idea might just be crazy enough... to get us all killed! "

Also this shows us a bit of Sandy's flaws such as her cockiness and brashness. I like how Spongebob gets her to apologize , even though it's super dangerous he's concerned about her character development. Lol.

Favorite moment: Krabs unwilling to part with money rather than save the town. My god, this is krabs greed done right. It's so over the top and ridiculous.

" No you'll never get a cent outta me. I'd rather the worm come here and eat everyone of you alive. * breathes hard* "

    This is a great episode.

    24. Imitation krabs

Plankton gets a robot that looks like krabs and pretends to be him in order to get the formula.

I can't believe how many funny parts I missed in this. The animation and voice acting blend spectacularly. Even with trophy saying all the funny parts there's 2 other ones that I liked " the gasp " when real Krabs enters the scene and also mr krabs passing.

Favorite moment: Plankton leaning slowly with the joystick as he reaches for the formula.

    Elite episode.

  8. 31. No free rides

A neat underrated little piece about Mrs. puff finally giving into the temptation of giving Spongebob a license he didn't deserve. However she can't live with the decisions and plans to make things right by stealing his boat.

Mrs Puff is an underrated funny character. Her deadpan about the 6 hundred points was funny. Then her sweating frequently. She also is very funny when she's filled with maniacal glee at the thought of not having to deal with Spongebob.

Her faces are hilarious here. This is underrated simply because many people forget that pre-movie puff could be quite hilarious. This is probably her best episode in terms of laughs and it's all because of her varied emotional reactions to SB. This is underrated simply because many people forget that pre-movie puff could be quite hilarious. This is probably her best episode in terms of laughs and it's all because of her varied emotional reactions to SB.

This is a very good episode.

Unappreciated quirk: near the end of the episode Spongebob is hitting mrs puff in ski mask and gets ready to punch said thief. That's something that wouldn't fly nowadays but was a nice touch. Even though he was weak he wasn't exactly afraid to fight for what was his.

Favorite moment: " There's a new driver in town and his name is Spongebob squarepants. " Flash to mrs puff imagining Spongebob singing while driving recklessly and hitting pedestrians like a GTA game.

    30. Ripped Pants

Spongebob rips his pants and becomes the clown prince of the Goo Lagoon. However after pushing the gag to far he has find a way to apologize to his pal, Sandy.

This episode was a but slower so I'm recounting the jokes more than the basics really.

It has a lot of jokes around his pants ripping so I think younger audiences like young me would find this a bit funnier.

The song is heartwarming and all. Not to mention actually catchy. Who sung that? Kenny?

There's not a lot you can say about this episode so credit to the guys reviewing this episode.

Odd quirk: A guy is roasting marshmallows in the middle of the day of a beach.

Favorite moment: The lifeguard scene all for the sake of the lifeguard. His " are you bleeping serious mate? " face kills me.

    29. Algae's always greener

Sick of all the heartache from his failure to steal the Krabby Patty, Plankton wants to swap lives with Krabs himself. However after living a day in his life he realizes this have been too much for him to chew.

This episode goes to show that just because some guys seems to have it made, their responsibilities might be too much for you to handle in a funny way. I love how they make fun of krabs being naked, and try to clothe him.

The whole swap situation is more ridiculous than almost every other episode on this list so far.

Examples include victory speech!!!, spongebobs face after plankton tells him to put less sauce on the patties. The telephone gag, pearl crying about running away. Etc

All in all a very good episode.

Favorite moment: the "and the next day " gag as mr krabs backs away from the Krusty Krab in a bra.

  9. A few things about this.

Mr. Krabs being nervous is always funny to me. His voice and explanations are just funny to hear. It's like you can see the squirming in his voice.

The double roundabout was quite funny and well done

" To your starboard you yield, and to your port they yield to you and when your in the middle it's Every man for himself and the devil take the rest "

    And

"I thought you were just using Gary as a colorful example" - Spongebob

"Oh he's colorful alright but he's also gonna teach you how to drive" - Krabs

The car crash into the Krusty Krab was a bit repetitive but the one were the other cars crashed in an effort to avoid Spongebob was funny.

Also this old man rant which writers evidently remembered krabs is GOAT level in this.

    Spoiler

Wipe that boating school malarkey out of your mind son. It's all a racket. And that goes for every kind of schooling. Why there aint nothing truly important, you can't learn on the streets with half a jigger of common sense and your own two claws.

Spongebob's Naivety and Krab's Old fashioned attitude clash brilliantly when the writers don't make the situation all about money.

  10. The animation with the sunrise was so beautiful. Infact, this episode has some of the best animation in the whole series. Hell, this episode IS one of the best episodes in the series. I haven't enjoyed SpongeBob this much in like 4 years. The jokes were hilarious, the plot worked well and the whole thing was just perfect. Every second of it worked so well and i love this one to death. This gives me tons of faith in the new episodes! 11/10

I loved it too, it was a breath of fresh air and if you and I are too hyped by this episode it's only because of this can be a normal episode than we could have the good episodes of the season be really funny and great ones the quality of the premovie aka Chocolate with Nuts, Band Geeks, Hooky ETC. I'm hyped because if this is average, it's an average pre movie episode and that means I can look forward to gems in the future.

I loved this episode's music, and like the others said, the visuals were excellent. I didn't think it was as good overall as Tutor Sauce, but I thought it did a good job making the most out of a simple plotline, and it had really wonderful moments like Squidward's "straight line" talk and of course the whole thing with Scott and his version of Uber. Episodes like this where nobody's out of characters and things don't go too off the rails are exactly what the show needs to bounce after Yeti Krabs, and I'm excited to see what's coming next. 7/10

Glad you mentioned the music. It felt inspired, hell even the background noise felt a step up from recent times. I think someone pointed out they had been slacking a bit.

Well, I was disappointed with this episode. It has some funny parts but most of them are spoiled by Nickelodeon and SpongeBob was an idiot in this episode. Yes, he is naive but not stupid. He acted like Patrick in this episode. I gotta give a credit for the animation tho. It's pretty nice. Nothing amazing but still. Also the last minutes cracked me up. I gave it a B-.

    You go Scott.

Spongebob may have been an idiot but I can forgive that because he wasn't an idiot that was ruining someone's day and he wasn't obnoxious in his stupidity, also the voice was kept sounding the same. He didn't sound like an infant or anything, he just sounded like he was trying to reinvent the wheel or eh... straight line.

  11. 33. Pranks a lot

This episode is a pretty wacky one even for Spongebob standards. It seems like normal where they start off at some random place and advance the story which has a lot of rapid fire jokes. But the invisible spray takes the plot into pure silliness. I mean look at krab's armor. The measures Spongebob and Patrick go against to scare him. Classic Patrick lines like " the nerve of that guy and his driving eyeballs. " The hilariously lame pun war. Also the comeuppance is probably one of the best in the series. This is a very good episode.

Favorite moment: Mr. krabs pretends to be nice to them and let it go so we expect a heartwarming end right? Spongebob certainly did.

Wrong!!! He flips the script on them and exposes their naked bodies to a full house of patrons. Hilariously done

    32. Squids Day off

Squidward has a day off. Well actually he pretends he does and tries to leave Spongebob with his duties. This guilt trip he has becomes an acid trip.

He imagines everything Spongebob could do wrong such as burning the place down or giving money away. He freaks out so much, he can't get any advantage of his free day. He keeps going back and forth and starts hallucinating that Spongebob is out to spy on him and tattle.

    " I'm sure you are. " - SpongeBob

    " I don't like your tone. "

    - Squidward

    Spongebob in Soprano

    " I'm sure you are. "

The episode ends with a naked squidward giving up and wanting to return to work. Spongebob mentions that the sign was backwards "so it's almost like they could have taken the whole day off" and laughs. Squidward deflates. This is a very good episode, and another underplayed one.

Favorite moment: His constant running and the music played in the background as Spongebob keeps asking did you finish those errands. It's like it's own little music video.

A rad Guitar playing, squidward running and breathing hard as " did you finish those errands " repeating in the background adds up to make this beautiful piece of hilarity.

  12. 34. Friend or Foe.

I'm sort of with wumbo and nuggets on this one. The emotional connection is the last moment of classic Spongebob. The unreliable narrators gag, Karen telling the real story. Everything was very good except patchy. If you could have an abridged episode without Polly and Patchy I would have definitely put this on my list. But as a self identified Patchy hater, and this being one of this worse apperarances... I have to drop this off my list and only to a good episode.

Still worth watching though although it's hard to find.

Favorite moment: Finding out the Krusty Krab secret recipe has a pinch of chum in it, that was brilliant.

  13. 38. Club Spongebob

This episode is a nice little episode for me. Squidward and Spongebob & Patrick get stuck in a forest and we get a funnier version of the episode where Spongebob and Patrick get stranded in a cave. Squidward's reactions are quite funny and I liked the conch gag.

Favorite moment: The end joke where they appear to be saved but the savior calls the conch and it tells them to do nothing. After this squidward gives up and says " All praise the magic conch " in a exasperated tone. This is a good episode.

    37. Jellyfish Jam

Without the famous Electro Music that I actually have on my running playlist, I doubt this episode makes the list because it's what draws attention. It's still is arguably top 50 and the ending is interesting because it's one of the few where Gary saves the day. Also Spongebob getting tired of the Jellyfish and them rebelling is pretty funny. It's a good episode.

Favorite moment: " Spongebob is the only person I know who could have fun with a jellyfish for 4 hours. "And so on....

    36. Squidville

I liked this episode a lot as a kid and though it's probably fallen in respect to others I still like it. The Patrick TV gag is a classic. Squidward getting tired of paradise and turning into Spongebob was genius. A very well crafted episode that can afford to be relatively light on laughs. This is a good episode.

Favorite moment: Squidward turning into a delinquent and using a leaf blower for Chaos.

    35. Something Smells

When I first started making this list I thought it had a case for my top 5. Evidently there were a few other ones that overtook it on my list as mine ended up at top 15. We all know the ugly barnacle story which is funny no matter how many times you see it but there are lots of other funnier ones forgotten.

    Such as

    The "Deaughhh" Fish

    Giant piles of bubble gum

    I'm ugly and I'm proud!

Spongebob playing the organ whole wearing Groucho Marx glasses

    Hey squidward we stink!

Spongebob jumping on a dudes car's windshield and asking the guy if he's ugly who screams my eyes and crashes.

    LOOK AT IT!!!!

This is a great episode. The first one on the list and this is just gangbusters on laughs consistently. I probably should have put it top 10 in retrospect but man there are so many good ones it's hard to drop one. Let's just say this is the first on my great tier.

Favorite moment: The whole bathroom scene, when Patrick is believing he's ugly.

    Spoiler

Patrick: [says It In Shock] Oh… OH!! I CAUGHT THE UGLY!!! [spongeBob walks in]

SpongeBob: Patrick, is everything OK in here? [he hears Patrick sobbing. He opens a stall door and sees Patrick sitting on the toilet with a bag over his head] What are you doing in there, Patrick?

Patrick: Wouldn't you like to know?

SpongeBob: And why is that bag on your head?

Patrick: Why? Oh, no reason. Except you gave me the ugly! [he whips the bag off. SpongeBob recoils and gasps. Patrick walks out] What am I gonna do? I can't go out looking like this!

SpongeBob: Just remember what we talked about. There's power in pride.

Patrick: That may be fine for you, but I was one of the beautiful people. Now look at me! [his breath reaches SpongeBob and he holds his nose in disgust] I'm almost as ugly as you! I always thought if I was as ugly as that guy, I don't know what I'd do.

    SpongeBob: Patrick...?

Patrick: What's my mom gonna say?

    SpongeBob: [plugging his nose] Patrick??

Patrick: Oh my gosh, if my sister finds out, wait, I don't have a sister, if the bank, I mean it's one thing if you have bad shoes, or even bad hair, but… [spongeBob screams at Patrick]

  14. 39. The great snail race

I like this episode. Wasn't on my list but it's a good season 3 episode that's underplayed on television. I love Spongebob being competetive against Squidward here, and although he's a jack-rabbit it's kind of funny. The Patrick interjection scene was funny. The squidward's last name gags were funny. There were a bunch of gags in here that were wonderful.

Also the sandy kicking spongebobs butt because she detected his demeaning of girls was a great touch that a lot of people pick up years later.

This is a very good episode.

Favorite moment: Nat: Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to our live coverage of this year's annual spring classic, the 102nd Running of the Snail. And what a beautiful day for this sport of kings, of which I am a huge fan. Seriously, I'm just a fan. I was on my way to my seat, the door was open.

Perch Perkins: Hey, what are you doing?! [Nat runs away as the announcer comes and sits down] Heh, sorry about that, folks.

  15. 40. Dunces and Dragons

A later season that combined a pretty good amount of laughter with an interesting plot. Once in the past, things get pretty funny. The prophecy and Squidward being the fool were nice touches. This also had a bunch of funny one liners, and one off jokes. Spongebob and Patricks cluelessness to their situations is played perfectly here. It works great because their in an odd situation. This is a good episode and I think overlooked it on my list. It would be in my top 50.

Favorite moment: SpongeBob: Knights, jesters, dragons, medieval bowling alleys, 12th century? Don't you see, Patrick? We really are in medieval times!

Patrick: Oh no, I think I left the water running at home!

  16. 42. F.U.N

This is the first episode where I didn't really find it that funny or fun to watch. This episode kind of drags when I see it and it's a little too normal for my tastes. The heartwarming aspect is kind of undone by the ending. It's an Ok episode but I didn't consider it for my list.

Favorite moment: Krabs breaking into the movie theater and ranting.
