  1. I have no idea how Justin Long's make-up as the walrus-man in Tusk didn't even get a nomination for Best Make-up and Hairstyling. It's not like it would be unusual for a movie like Tusk to get the award, The Fly had similar effects and won the Oscar in 1986.

  2. Neill Blomkamp is a very good director in my opinion. I absolutely loved District 9, and I enjoyed Elysium too despite the criticism aimed at it. The premise of this one didn't really intrigue me too much when I first heard of it, but I still have faith in the director to make this good. Plus, it's officially been given an R-rating, so he's not watering anything down from his previous films.

  4. 1. South Park

The main reason this made it to number one is because of how experimental this season was compared to others. The fact that there were so many homages to continuity...something South Park rarely does; made this season a golden one in my eyes. Even the weakest episode of the season Handicar has actual replay value. Just ten solid to spectacular episodes that really makes this one of the best seasons of South Park ever. Eighteen seasons in and this show just continues to amaze me in ways that I didn't expect.

Seasons 6 and 8 also experimented with continuity, with the Kenny death and Cartman-swallowing-Kenny's-ashes theme spanning across the whole of the sixth season, and the first few episodes of season 8 all were loosely connected by references to Cartman's viewing of the Passion of the Christ.

  5. Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld - Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld

I actually honestly like this song. It's got a killer riff and a pretty cool-sounding chorus. Also, it's pretty much impossible to resist "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of... TIMMY!".

A lot of South Park songs I actually really enjoy musically rather than just humor-wise, the Lemmiwinks song being one of my favorites too.

  6. Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Holy shit, everybody needs to see this movie. The action scenes are amazingly choreographed and insanely violent, and one scene involving Colin Firth, an umbrella, and a bunch of Westboro-type fundamentalists will go down in history. I will say no more.
