[186b. Plankton's Pet]

One of the best post season 4 episodes. I rate everything after season 4 on whole different scale because the show is just so vastly different writing wise after season 4. So I give it a 5/5 for this poll.

It's nice to have an episode on Plankton where he's not just trying to steal the formula again and we get to see him really be himself and and get to know his character. And this has to be one of the few times Plankton has a happy ending although I really doubt we'll ever see Spot again. There were a few jokes like the random fish "aweing" at Plankton and Spongebob telling Plankton how he got lost from Gary for 8 minutes, the only lame joke was the man finding his gum he was looking for under his shoe. It just seemed like the easiest cliched joke to make which is a problem of the show nowadays. Otherwise a very good Spongebob episode for something after season 4.

[188a. Kenny the Cat]

Nothing awful here but nothing great. I did like how Spongebob took the news that Kenny was a fake, normally he would have just cried a whole lot or something stupid but he listened to Kenny and understood where he was coming from. I did not mind Sandy accidentally outing Kenny as it was inevitably going to happen in the episode, her and Spongebob acted a bit more mature in this episode I noticed. Something like that is note worthy to me as the characters have gotten more and more childish and annoying over the years. Also Biz Markie did a good job voice acting here, it's kinda cool to hear such a different voice in this show.

Well I came here because I recently started watching Spongebob again as I complety stopped after season 6, although through the years I watched some episodes after that. But I recently realized that after like halfway through season 4 the show really wasn't awful it was just another children show where they don't really try to make it good and it has the occasional awful episode. Anyways I'd say season 8 and 9 it at least seems like the show is some what more decent.
