  1. Little Yellow Book wasn't bad but It wasn't good either. There were some funny parts in this episode but Squidward was mean in this episode. I would like that episode, If SpongeBob read Squidward's diary. Even though I felt bad for Squidward sometimes, I hate Squidward now. I hated him in this episode more than in "Whatever Happened to SpongeBob?".  #2 is SpongeBob Meets the Strangler?

It's not Spongebob Meets the Strangler. Another hint: You are afraid something is going to EAT you!

  2. I'm also one of the few who liked Stuck in the Wringer. I'll never understand why so many people thought the "moral" was meant to be taken seriously...it was just a joke.

Well, if it was a joke, then I don't see the humor within it.

I think I didn't like Stuck in a Wringer too. #3 is The Great Patty Caper or Patty Caper?

The Great Patty Caper was bad, but not really bottom 20 worthy. And Patty Caper at the very least, had a good ending.

    Number 3: Little Yellow Book

Alright, to kick off the final 3, we have Little Yellow Book.

In this episode, Spongebob is hiding something (at work) and Squidward is curious to know what it is. After quite a few attempts, Squidward eventually finds what Spongebob is keeping secret; his diary!

Upon seeing this, he sneaks the diary to the cash register and he starts to read it. And the entries seem so hilarious to him that he starts laughing out loud. And soon enough, Squidward starts reading the diary to everyone, I mean EVERYONE at the Krusty Krab.

Eventually Spongebob finds out and he is very upset, so upset that he starts shedding tears. And, the citizens of Bikini Bottom start shunning Squidward because of it. And, you know how Squidward reacts? Huh? Instead of feeling guilty or feeling the slightest bit of shame, he actually starts laughing and smiling at Spongebob’s misery! Ok, I knew Squidward was a bit mean, but I didn’t think he was THAT mean!

After this, Squidward starts experiencing unfortunate events. He doesn’t get to ride the taxi. No one wants to talk to him now (who would?). And he even loses his own house! When Squidward sleeps on a bench, the police come and they recognize him as the diary reader. So, they lock him in the stocks where people can throw tomatoes at him.

When Spongebob sees Squidward, Squidward tries to apologize for reading his diary. Spongebob replies by saying that he forgives him and that the diary he read was only his work diary (if Squidward read his personal diary, which Spongebob brought with him, then that would be REALLY embarrassing). Apparently, the work diary was so comical that Spongebob decided to publish it.

The townspeople continued to throw tomatoes at Squidward. And, when Spongebob tried to tell them that he forgave Squidward for his actions, one of the townspeople point out that Squidward is actually reading Spongebob’s personal diary! Spongebob starts to tear up again, but Squidward laughs hysterically, saying this: “I don’t care! This is sooooo worth it!”

Now, in Fools in April, Squidward played a very mean prank on Spongebob, which caused Spongebob to cry and run home.  After that, Squidward actually started to feel guilty, even ashamed of himself to the point where he tried to apologize. In that episode, Squidward actually showed remorse because he made Spongebob very upset. In this episode however, Squidward acts like a heartless jerk who doesn’t give a darn whether Spongebob sobs or not. This upset me (as well as other Squidward fans) because Squidward is way out of character. He’s not the cynical, realistic guy who, at least, has a heart. Instead, he’s this evil, heartless jerk who shows a vast amount of sadism (because he laughs at Spongebob being sad). This isn’t the kind of character we all favor and admire! The writers should really be ashamed of themselves for making this episode and I hope that they don’t make another one like that again.

Hint for next episode: Fear of an attacker

  3. Number 4: Stuck in the Wringer

The first time I watched this episode, I knew that it was one of the worst!

The episode begins with Spongebob getting out of his shower before accidentally dropping the soap (don’t laugh), slipping on it, and getting stuck in his wringer. Patrick visits because he wants his lost rubber ducky back. And, not surprisingly, HE is the cause of this conflict! When Spongebob asks Patrick to get him out, Patrick stupidly misunderstands and decides to glue Spongebob to his wringer (with forever glue).

This proves to be a problem for Spongebob, as he has to get to work (for one thing). While at the Krusty Krab, Spongebob tries to work his way around the wringer but it proves to be a bigger obstacle than he thought, since it only causes mass chaos.

Once he gets kicked out, Patrick tries to cheer up Spongebob with some ice cream, but it turns out Spongebob can’t swallow the ice cream with his wringer in the way. So, Patrick decides to take him to the carnival to cheer him up, but that only makes him more miserable (because of the wringer again).

Here’s where it starts to fall downhill! Spongebob sees that Patrick is getting all the joy (I.e. getting a 1st place badge, a plush seahorse, and even some cotton candy. Patrick is really excited.), so he snaps at him.

Patrick: Hey pal, want some of my cotton candy? They gave it to me when I won the dart tournament. I got this too! [shows off his ribbon] Check it out!

SpongeBob: That's nice, Patrick, but I don't want any cotton candy.

Patrick: Well, have some. It'll make you feel better.

SpongeBob: [his patience has run out] I said I don't want any! [turns and knocks it onto the ground]

Patrick: You ruined my cotton candy!

SpongeBob: Good! Maybe now you know how I feel about you ruining my life!

Ball Toss Vendor: Check it out! Public fight!

Other Vendor: Working at the carnival sure has its perks. [crowd gathers around SpongeBob and Patrick]

SpongeBob: I have never felt so ashamed.

    Patrick: What do you mean?

SpongeBob: If it wasn't for your Forever Glue, I wouldn't be stuck in this thing.

Patrick: I was only trying to help.

SpongeBob: [shouts] Help?! I think you've helped quite enough today. [This is the exact same thing Mr. Krabs said earlier]

Patrick: Okay, if that's how you feel... I won't help you anymore! [runs off sobbing]

Okay, as good as it felt to see Spongebob slap some sense into Patrick, the good feeling goes away when this happens. After Spongebob chews out Patrick, the crowd then chews out Spongebob for being fierce towards Patrick. Wait. Patrick disables Spongebob and selfishly puts his joy before his best friend’s pain and Spongebob is not allowed to yell at him for that? Butt out townspeople!

Later, Patrick tries to give Spongebob the cold shoulder but he can’t resist. He hurries towards Spongebob’s house only to find that he’s sitting at the TV (staring at static), hearing things in his head. Patrick feels ashamed of himself and he sheds a tear. His tear then rolls down into Spongebob’s wringer, allowing Spongebob’s arm to be let free!

    ·  SpongeBob: Patrick! Your tears! They're melting the glue! Keep crying! I'll do the same and maybe I can slip out of this thing! [both start crying, and all of the glue melts off. He then pulls himself out of the wringer] Look! It worked!

    ·  SpongeBob and Patrick: All right! [spongeBob throws the wringer up in the air]

Once they both get the wringer off, we then get yet another one of the worst endings in Spongebob history!

    - SpongeBob: I guess crying does solve your problems after all. Come here, buddy!

That’s the message they are going for. WHY?!

[spongeBob and Patrick hug. The wringer falls down, trapping SpongeBob and Patrick in it]

Patrick: Well, at least we're together! Heh. Hey, should I get the glue?

Crying solves almost none of your problems! I’ve cried a lot as a kid and that did NOT solve anything!  Honestly, this would’ve made a really good episode! But that (Spongebob saying that crying solves your problems), that just MURDERED IT! Let’s move on before I put my fist through my monitor. Yes, it’s THAT bad!

Hint for the next episode: Secrets will be revealed

  4. Plankton's regular?

    I think #5 is Plankton's Regular

    Both of you are correct!

    Number 5: Plankton’s Regular

You know, when episodes like this show up, we start to look at the main antagonist, Plankton, and we actually start to really feel sorry for the tiny cyclops.

One day at the Chum Bucket, Plankton is lamenting about how much of a failure he is when a fish named Nat Peterson comes in. Plankton tell him to go away and Nat replies by saying that he only came here because he wanted to try one of Plankton’s chum sticks. Surprised, Plankton gives him one of the chum sticks.

He’s even more surprised when Nat compliments his food. He seems to like Plankton’s food so much that he decides to come to the chum bucket on a daily basis, as Plankton’s regular (just like the name of the episode)! So, Plankton goes to the Krusty Krab and he rubs it in Krabs’ face, which is pretty amusing to watch.

Mr. Krabs doesn’t believe him at first, but after seeing that one of the townspeople likes Plankton’s food, he becomes upset. And then, he becomes paranoid because he thinks that his restaurant will probably fail because of this. Come on! You have almost every person in Bikini Bottom eating at YOUR restaurant! At least feel happy for Plankton that he finally has someone who likes his food!

But of course, he doesn’t do that. Instead, he tries his hardest to get Nat to eat at the Krusty Krab. After many, many, MANY failed attempts, Krabs decides to try and steal Plankton’s secret formula (he brings Spongebob with him)!

Soon enough, Plankton catches Krabs and Spongebob in the act and laughs at the irony of the fact that it’s KRABS that’s trying to steal Plankton’s secret formula (since it’s normally in reverse)! And then, Nat comes in. And this is where it REALLY starts to fall downhill.

Plankton thinks that Nat is coming for another meal, but it turns out that Nat actually hates chum. He hates it and now he is being carried away by two paramedics (since he has to get his stomach pumped, twice).

Plankton asks what’s going on and Karen jumps in to explain. Basically, Karen paid Nat to eat Plankton’s food (and pretend he likes it) so that Plankton would quit lamenting so much. Because of this, Plankton starts sobbing at the fact that it was all a lie. And the episode ends with Krabs laughing at Plankton’s misery.

Mr. Krabs: Well, this irony is pretty good stuff! [laughs]

This is yet ANOTHER example of how selfish Mr. Krabs can be. First, he spends an ENTIRE episode searching for a penny. Then, he abuses Gary just to get his hands on some loose change. And now he tries to make sure that his sad, miserable rival can’t have one customer, not ONE customer? Plankton was so miserable that it probably meant a lot to him that one customer would finally like his food! It’s really upsetting for him to see that this whole thing was an absolute lie. I really felt sorry for Plankton in this episode. If only this was the last “Mr. Krabs is a jerk” episode on this list. And if only Plankton would just find something else to do other than try to sell chum or try to steal the formula.

  5.

    Gone.png

Demolitition Doofus was creepy seeing how bloodthirsty Mrs. Puff was.

Oh yeah, next episode is either Gone, Club SpongeBob, or SB-129.

The Cheese and Bender, you are both correct.

    Number 6: Gone

If I could describe this episode with just one word, it would be backstabbing.

In this episode, Spongebob wakes up and goes about his normal day. Since he doesn’t see anyone during that day, he simply thinks that maybe everyone’s busy or tired (I don’t remember which). The next morning, Spongebob sees that Gary hasn’t touched his food at all. After looking, he realizes that Gary is missing so he tries to find Squidward. After looking, he finds that Squidward is missing as well. Then, he goes on to look for everyone in Bikini Bottom and soon, he realizes that he’s the only one there!

When the others don't return, SpongeBob then decides to live out everyone's lives for them. He makes a bubble version of himself in his front yard, then runs to the top floor of Squidward's house, pretending to be Squidward yelling at SpongeBob for making too much noise. SpongeBob then runs to the Krusty Krab, imitating Squidward and Mr. Krabs. He imitates Sandy at the Treedome and Patrick at the Rock respectively before running to the boating school and pretending to be Mrs. Puff. In the classroom, Spongebob realizes that living out everyone's lives won't work, and he breaks down crying on Mrs. Puff's desk. SpongeBob's mood quickly changes when he discovers a stack of blank driver's licenses. He takes a picture of himself, and prints out his own license. He then takes off with the student driver boat, naming it "Boaty," and joyriding throughout the city.

After this, Spongebob and Boaty become inseparable, so much that Spongebob actually sleeps with Boaty and parks it inside his house and the Krusty Krab! But, Boaty seems to unnerve Spongebob as time goes on and even starts following him (makes no sense but okay). This is all happening because Spongebob is slowly being driven to the depths of insanity. Soon enough, Spongebob even tries to run away from Boaty and he starts losing his love for boats!

Eventually, he comes across a bus and then everyone from Bikini Bottom hop off of it. Spongebob asks them where they were this whole time, and Mr. Krabs says that they were simply celebrating National No Spongebob Day; the day where they can finally get away from Spongebob for a day (it was actually weeks).

This is why I hate this episode. While it had a nice premise for Season 6 (my second least favorite season), the ending just ruins it! I can’t believe that every one of the Bikini Bottomites would just ditch Spongebob so that they can celebrate a day where they don’t have to be around him (they make a giant effigy of him and burn it to the ground)! That is just insulting and cruel. And, to add insult to injury, even Patrick, his BEST FRIEND, said he had to get away from him!

Now, I realize that Spongebob can be immature and annoying in some episodes (i.e. Choir Boys, Gullible Pants, and Slide Whistle Stooges), but for the most part, he never means to be annoying. And what makes this whole thing even worse, is that Spongebob would never do anything like that to anyone else. In fact, he has spread joy and even helped everyone in big situations! In “Christmas Who?”, Spongebob tried to spread the joy of Christmas throughout all of Bikini Bottom. In “Can You Spare A Dime”, Spongebob did what he could to take care of Squidward when he was jobless (and homeless). In “Texas”, he tried to bring Texas to Bikini Bottom so that Sandy wouldn’t feel homesick. In “Big Pink Loser”, he tried to help Patrick finally get an award. And in “Band Geeks”, he encouraged the people of Bikini Bottom to form an awesome band to help Squidward beat that smug rich guy, Squilliam. Did everyone just forget all of that? Spongebob didn’t deserve anything like this. This episode was cruel, backstabbing, awful, and very, very insulting.

Hint for the next episode: I am your Number 1 fan!

  6. NN was decent

THIS next one is Demolition Doofus

    And you are correcto!

    Number 7: Demolition Doofus

What were the writers thinking when they made this?! This episode takes “disturbing” to a high extent that it’s unbelievable!

In this episode, Spongebob injures Mrs. Puff so badly that he ruptures her inflation sack, meaning she will never be able to puff again. While at the hospital, Spongebob and Mrs. Puff learn about a nearby demolition derby, where people risk their lives “for other people’s amusement”.

Upon learning this, Mrs. Puff hatches a very dark plan, which is to get Spongebob killed in this demoltion derby! Right away, that rubbed me the wrong way. Either it was because that’s pretty twisted for a kids’ show, or I’ve been reading too many Spongebob creepypastas lately!

Anyways, Mrs. Puff enters Spongebob into the derby (as The Squish) and tells him that this is just a bit of “extra credit”. And, due to his bad driving, Spongebob actually does very well in the derby (so well that he pretty much beats all of the other competitors)! This shocks Mrs. Puff to the point where shes yells this:

Mrs. Puff: WHY ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?!

That’s right. She’s wondering not how he’s okay, not how he’s still standing, but how he is still living! That’s pretty screwed up for this show. It was actually kind of disturbing how bloodthirsty she was! Even though she couldn't stand SpongeBob, Mrs. Puff never wished the worst for him; she just wanted him out of her sight. She knew that if she passed SpongeBob before he was actually ready to drive, he would be a danger to himself and everybody else. She doesn't want him to get hurt, so she goes out of her way, and endures all the damage, because she doesn't want a reckless driver to graduate. The way the writers portrayed Mrs. Puff (in a murderous, bloodthirsty way) is absolutely horrifying!

So, angry that Spongebob is still standing, Mrs. Puff decides to enter the derby herself (as a competitor) and she calls herself “The Huff”. After chasing Spongebob for a few minutes, they both crash through the derby wall and eventually crash into the boating school. And the episode ends with everything getting back to normal and Mrs. Puff getting her puff back.

Again, even though I felt sorry for Mrs. Puff, I don’t think that’s an excuse to try to kill Spongebob. Turning a sympathetic character into a bloodthirsty monster who actively tries to MURDER someone is extremely messed up! This was way too dark to be on such a happy show like Spongebob. That’s all I have to say about this.

  7. Nautical Novice

    BINGO!

    Number 8: Nautical Novice

My god. This was one of the most disappointing episodes I have ever seen!

In this episode, Mrs. Puff decides to organize a field trip to the Bikini Bottom Museum of Navigation, which is that large vessel to ever be driven (and it’s also a museum!). Noticing what a bad student he is, Spongebob spends the whole night reading the big book of boating history, so that he can impress Mrs. Puff and hopefully get his boating license.

When SpongeBob wakes up, he barely misses the bus, so he almost missed his chance to make it to the field trip. Once everyone is at the museum, Spongebob begins to display his new found knowledge of boating. This starts to irritate Mrs. Puff, as Spongebob has basically taken over her job.

Soon, Spongebob is revealed to have reached the main cabin of the vessel. By mistake, he activates the behemoth of a ship, causing it to head straight for Bikini Bottom! Mrs. Puff hurries to the main cabin, telling Spongebob that if the vessel doesn’t stop, then it would crush all of Bikini Bottom.

Mrs. Puff tries to disable the ship herself, but it proves to be too advanced for her, so she leaves it up to Spongebob, which actually proves to be a very good idea! Spongebob is able to disable the behemoth, in a pretty awesome way, stopping the ship was flattening the city!

Once Mrs. Puff and Spongebob get off the ship, Mrs. Puff is so proud of Spongebob that she finally gives him his license! Hey, maybe this will end well after all! Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen.

It turns out that there was a fish who was already pulling the vessel towards Bikini Bottom and that’s why the ship was moving. Ok, two things wrong here! One, how can the fish (who’s on a regular sized boat) pull such a monstrous vessel half the size of Bikini Bottom? And two, how was he the one even pulling it? Neither he, nor his tiny boat were anywhere in the previous shots! Don't believe me? Well watch the episode here and see if you can find him in any of the previous shots. http://spongebob.nic...ll-episode.html

And because of this, Mrs. Puff glares at Spongebob and then rips up his license. This was just a real slap in the face because many of us fans have all been waiting for Spongebob to FINALLY get his license. And when he’s about to finally get it (in an awesome way), his license gets ripped up at the end! What kind of episode is that? I really hate episodes that lead up to something amazing but then end up a disappointment by the end! This was just a pure disappointment. That’s all I have to say about this episode.

Hint for the next episode: Wheels of the destroyer

  8. I haven't seen Gullible Pants in a while but I think I didn't like that episode too but SpongeBob dancing was kinda funny, I guess. The next one is The Cent of Money.

Yup it's the Cent of Money

    Both of you are correct!

Number 9: The Cent of Money

Oh no. Not another bad Krabs episode! This one just shows how selfish Mr. Krabs is and that he will do anything, ANYTHING (even if it hurts others) to get his hands on some money.

(Disclaimer: I don’t remember the episode by heart, but I do remember the meat of it.)

One day while Spongebob is taking Gary for a walk in the parking lot, Mr. Krabs notices that Gary seems to be wiggling in a strange way. Krabs asks Spongebob what’s happening, and he replies by saying that that’s what Gary always does when he attracts loose change.

This excites Mr. Krabs so he decides to make Spongebob do some nearly impossible tasks (like paint the entire Krusty Krab, from floor to roof), so he can use Gary as his money making tool. And Gary seems to be attracting more money than Krabs had thought.

But, this makes Gary extremely uncomfortable as this money attraction causes him pain. Krabs eventually notices and guess how he reacts. Instead of taking this seriously and stopping this money attracting scheme (which would’ve been the right thing to do), he thinks that Gary is perfectly fine and he even tells him to quit acting like a baby.

Have I ever mentioned how unlikeable Mr. Krabs is nowadays? He’s become flandarized (from his greed) beyond belief to the point where he will do anything, ANYTHING he can to collect money, save money, touch money, etc. He pretty will do whatever it takes, even if it involves hurting others (even animals), which really makes many Mr. Krabs fans lose all respect for him.

Anyways, Mr. Krabs finds out that a nearby arcade is where many coins are spent. So, he goes there, disguised as a pregnant woman. Eventually, Spongebob hears about Krabs’ money making scheme and he looks for him. Once he’s at the arcade, he catches Mr. Krabs in the act and is deeply ashamed of him (and rightfully so).

Then, a huge argument ensues between Spongebob and Krabs. While this is happening, Gary starts attracting so much money (pulling coins out of all the arcade machines) that this causes a huge avalanche of money. Mr. Krabs becomes excited and he runs towards the money avalanche (stupid!).

For the ending, Mr. Krabs, Spongebob and Gary are at the hospital. The doctor tells Spongebob that the thing that’s causing Gary to attract all this money is a Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy refrigerator magnet that he apparently swallowed at one point. As for Mr. Krabs, the bill that would lead to fixing his injuries seems to be so high that Krabs doubts that he could possibly pay for it. But, the doctor resolves his problem by saying that because of all the coins that he had cruelly collected, Krabs would be able to pay the bill just fine. And the episode ends with Krabs yelling “Nooooooo!” in defeat.

This episode was just downright awful. I really hate animal abuse and I hate how Mr. Krabs treated, no, ABUSED Gary for his own horribly selfish gain. As good as it felt to see Mr. Krabs pay the price in the end, unfortunately it wasn’t nearly enough to take this cruel episode off of my list.

Hint for next episode: We are riding the behemoth.

  9. I hate both episodes 10 is WhoBob WhatPants

I hate The Splinter so much. Thanks to Patrick, this episode is gross. #10 is "Whatever Happened to SpongeBob?" or "WhoBob WhatPants".

Number 10 is not WhoBob WhatPants. Number 10 is...

    Number 10: Gullible Pants

Welcome to the depths of the underworld! If you thought the last ten episodes were the worst episodes to ever hit the air, just wait until you see the next ten that made it on here, starting with Gullible Pants! This is an episode that does nothing but show how incredibly stupid Spongebob can be sometimes!

It starts off one day at the Krusty Krab with Mr. Krabs counting some money. He accidentally gets one of his nails bent in the process, so he has to call in for an appointment to get his nails fixed. Well, I guess if squids can have toenails then I guess crabs can have nails, too. Anyways, before leaving for his appointment, Krabs puts Spongebob in charge of the Krusty Krab for about 15-20 minutes. Little does he know that a lot can happen in just 15-20 minutes…

Squidward can't believe that Mr. Krabs would trust Spongebob more than him, so he decides to give false instructions to Spongebob, to make “an improvement” on the Krusty Krab. Some of these instructions include serving the food with his feet, hiring a stranger to cook the Patties, and turning the Krusty Krab into a total pigsty. And of course, Spongebob goes with it.

Blah, blah, blah. Bogus Instructions. Blah, blah, blah. Chaos ensues.

Near the end of the episode, Mr. Krabs gets back and he finds SpongeBob dancing and the customers cowarding in fear, the Krusty Krab a filthy mess, some stranger cooking the patties and Squidward sleeping on the job (which is normal according to Mr. Krabs).

    ·  Mr. Krabs: Me customers cowering in fear?

    ·  [all the customers are huddled in the far back corner of the building]

    ·  Evelyn: Help... us...

    ·  Mr. Krabs: The Krusty Krab a filthy mess?

    ·  [Frank holds a tray of food with a Krusty Krab hat]

    ·  Frank: Order #20 ready for pickup.

    ·  Mr. Krabs: [anger rising] And some stranger cooking Krabby Patties??!! [squidward is asleep in the ordering boat] Squidward sleeping on the job??!! Ok, that's actually normal.

When Krabs asks Spongebob what he has done with the Krusty Krab, Spongebob replies by saying that he did what Squidward told him to do, and that he told him all of Krabs’ secrets.

SpongeBob: I was just following Squidward's advice, Mr. Krabs. He told me all your secrets!

Mr. Krabs: All me secrets...? [stares at his newly-polished nails and then nervously hides them behind his back, sweating and chuckles nervously] So, is there anything else I can do for you, acting manager SpongeBob?

After that, we get to see Mr. Krabs doing the dishes (accidentally splitting his nail again), the Krusty Krab still a pigsty, and Spongebob dancing weirdly in front of a bunch of scared customers. And that’s it.

Dear writers, there is such thing as naivety and stupidity. Learn to tell the difference!

Hint for next episode: The Money Magnet (this should be an easy one)

  10. Number 11: The Splinter

And now… written by the writers of Best Day Ever, comes the kid-friendly gorefest of the summer… The Splinter!

One day at the Krusty Krab, during one of Spongebob’s patty flipping routines, Spongebob accidentally gets his spatula stuck in the ceiling. He stacks a bunch of boxes on top of each other and climbs the boxes to get the spatula out. Once he releases the spatula, he falls off and he’s about to fall into a bunch of swords, which fell out of one of the boxes. How interesting that the Krusty Krab, a FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, keeps a box full of big, sharp, deadly swords.

But, instead of killing him, he catches his spatula on one of the swords that had not fallen out. Upon landing, Spongebob slips on some tartar sauce (which spilled out of one of the jars that also fell out of the boxes). And then we get to see a gruesome shot of one of his fingers accidentally being jammed by a wood spike (for lack of a better word) sticking out of the ground.

Once Spongebob sees that he has an injury in his finger, he tries to pull it out, to no avail. Squidward comes into the kitchen and he wants to know what’s happening. When he sees Spongebob’s splinter, he puts a scare into him, saying that if Mr. Krabs were to find out about this, then he would be forced to send him home early. Because of this, Spongebob tries to seek help immediately.

And then we get reintroduced to… DR. PATRICK (who was first seen in “Suds”)! But instead of making us laugh, he prefers to nauseate us even further. First, he… you know what? I’m just gonna put a link as to what he does because it’s too painful to describe it. DON’T WATCH IF YOU’RE SENSITIVE TO DISGUSTING AND/OR VIOLENT CLIPS!

For the climax, Mr. Krabs finds out about the splinter and he wants to see it. Spongebob finally gives in and he shows him the splinter in its infected state. Mr. Krabs pulls out the splinter and –you know what- spews out.

This episode was so disgusting that I almost got sick watching it. This has got to be the most vile, repulsive episode I have ever seen. Yes, the toenail scene from House Fancy was gruesome, but at least House Fancy had its moments. And at least Squidward won in the end. This was simply the most nauseating episode I have ever seen.

Number 10 will be available tomorrow! Be prepared, because the terror continues in Part 2…

Hint for next episode: The Sponge Without a Brain

  11. Number 12: Choir Boys

*sigh* Yet ANOTHER episode with Squidward chasing a dream and featuring Spongebob at his worst. Is anyone noticing a trend here?

The episode begins with Squidward preparing to sing at the town men’s choir. Upon leaving the house, he stumbles into Spongebob, who’s curious to know where he’s going. Squidward tries to shove him off but he still wants to come. But, of course, Squidward won’t allow it.

But, instead of taking no for an answer, Spongebob makes several attempts at proving to Squidward that he’s worthy of joining. When Squidward has had enough, he ties Spongebob to a coral branch in Jellyfish Fields so that he can head to the choir without any interruptions.

This is why many people hate Spongebob nowadays. He’s not the innocent child at heart we all grew up with. Instead, just like MoBros’ said, he’s the mind-numbing antagonist who’s very appearance is unsettling!

[Cut to “Gary Takes a Bath”]

Spongebob: Sorry you had to see that.

    [back to my review]

Anyways, Spongebob all of a sudden gets the voice of the gods and sings, which gets him released from the seaweed rope. Then, the Jellyfish start to carry Spongebob to the men’s choir (where Squidward went to). Apparently, Spongebob’s singing voice amazes the members of the choir so much that they make him the lead singer! Spongebob wants Squidward to take part in the choir as well. So guess what Squidward’s job is. Yep. Squidward’s job is to turn the pages in the music book.

Although I love Spongebob, there are times where I would rather root for Squidward instead of what they call the “cubic creeper”. And this is one of those times! The biggest reason I hate this episode? It’s that face! All because of that face! It will haunt me forever…

Hint for next episode: The next one looks like it was inspired by Happy Tree Friends!

  12. Number 13: Cephalopod Lodge

My goodness… This has got to be the ultimate Squidward torture fest I’ve ever seen! How this evaded either of MoBros’ countdowns will always be a mystery.

In this episode, Squidward is extremely secretive about, a secret. Spongebob and Patrick are curious to know what it is Squidward is hiding. So, they follow him in the middle of the night to this lodge that allows only cephalopods in.

After watching an initiation, Spongebob and Patrick cheer, which raises awareness from Squidward and the other members of the lodge. When Squidward reprimands the two, the other members of the clan hold Squidward responsible for all of this, and so they ban him.

At first, Spongebob and Patrick try to get Squidward to forget about that club and join their own club, which is called “the feather friends” (And members of the club get to dress like chickens too!). But, once they see how miserable Squidward is, they try to find a way to get him back in.

Spongebob and Patrick disguise themselves as an albino eel (by hiding in a giant sock) and “attack” the cephalopod lodge so that Squidward can “defeat” the eel and look awesome in front of the other members. And apparently, all the members of the clan think that that thing really is a giant albino eel (again, it’s just a giant sock). And Squidward manages to “slay” the “beast”, which makes him look awesome and gets him back in. Huh! Maybe this will end well after all!

And then, Spongebob and Patrick take off the disguise, a little too early, which gets Squidward banned, for GOOD this time. No, no, no. I was wrong. And guess what? Spongebob and Patrick try to make Squidward feel better by making him pass the “feather friends” initiation again (which is getting his tongue stung by a Jellyfish).

And this is what Squidward has to deal with all day. No wonder he’s so miserable! First he can’t a relaxing Sunday (Good Neighbors). Then he can’t host his own TV show (Tentacle-Vision). And now he can’t do the one thing, the ONE VERY THING that makes his day any good?! patrickomg.gif This really made me mad! I've never felt so bad for poor Squidward! squidx.gif*sigh* Let's just move on before I go crazy.

Hint for next episode: This one involves a choir (this should be a big giveaway).

  13. Number 14: A Day Without Tears

Spongebob cries so much in the newer episodes that I can’t say I didn’t see this coming.

The episode starts off with Spongebob crying over almost EVERYTHING as he’s going through his normal routine. He cries when he stubs his toe. He cries when he accidentally tears his favorite shirt. He even cries when he hears sad songs on the radio. Just change the station!

During the Krusty Krab routine, Squidward gets fed up with Spongebob’s incessant bawling that he bets Spongebob that he can’t go until midnight without shedding a tear. If Squidward won, then Spongebob would have to do Squidward’s yardwork for a whole year. If Spongebob won, then Squidward would have to visit Spongebob for a one night sleepover.

Does anything really happen from here on in? Not really. The rest of the episode is just Squidward looking for ways to make Spongebob cry (i.e. making him watch the sunset, making him watch sad TV programs, and even playing some sad music with his clarinet). And, wouldn’t you know it? Spongebob wins the bet and Squidward cries about it.

This episode simply comes off as lame and extremely annoying, mainly because Spongebob wouldn’t stop crying for the first half of the episode! At least “Funny Pants” (a much better episode) tried to be comedic. The writers of “A Day Without Tears” just try to make this episode as sappy and weepy as possible! I really got nothing else to say, so let’s move on.

Hint for the next episode: This one involves a secret club.

  14. Number 15: I’m With Stupid

A lot of people may not have been expecting this to appear on the list, and I’m aware that this episode came from the Pre-Movie Era. Regardless, this episode really irritated me to the point where I just HAD to put it on this list!

The episode starts with Spongebob going over to Patrick’s house, only to find that Patrick is going crazy trying to clean it up. Spongebob asks what the whole commotion is about, and Patrick says that he’s preparing for Starfish Day, the day when his parents come to visit him. He gets upset because he thinks that his parents will think he’s stupid. So, to make him look smart in front of his parents, Spongebob offers to act like a dummy for when they arrive.

The next day, Patrick's parents arrive. Patrick shows them inside his house, and then Spongebob visits, wearing a red helmet so he would look like a dummy. Spongebob introduces himself to Patrick’s parents. And, just as planned, Spongebob pretends to be stupid to make Patrick look smart by comparison.

And this is where it really starts to take a turn for the worst! Patrick starts to believe that Spongebob really is stupid (seriously) and starts to make fun of him (his parents do this as well). Annoyed, Spongebob decides to have a talk with Patrick in the kitchen (to talk some sense into him). However, this fails as Patrick can’t seem to recall that Spongebob was only pretending to be stupid (since that was part of the plan).

Upset, Spongebob tries to convince Patrick’s parents that he was not really stupid and he only pretended to be so they would appreciate Patrick more. This also fails, though, because Patrick's parents think that Patrick "taught" Spongebob on how to talk, eat, and do the basic things in life. And then, Patrick and his parents go on to make fun of Spongebob and laugh at him. Because of all this, Spongebob screams in frustration and runs out of the house.

After Spongebob runs out of the house, Patrick’s parents tell Patrick how smart he is.

    ·  Marty: You know, son, I've always known that when it comes to brightness, well, you're about a three-watt. But this guy! He's a wet match in a dark cave. He makes phone operators seem smart! But more importantly, son, he's shown me what a sharp, quick-witted boy you've become. [Hugs him] I feel like I'm really meeting you for the first time. Isn't that right, Janet?

    ·  Janet: You bet, Marty!

    ·  Patrick: [His eyes widen] Janet? Marty? Who are you people?!

That’s right, these two aren’t Patrick real parents. After that, Squidward (with Patrick’s real parents behind him) opens the door (or rock) to say “Excuse me. Does this lovely couple belong to you? They've been standing outside my house saying "Where's Patrick?" all day! It's driving me nuts!”

Patrick is happy to finally meet his parents.

    ·  Patrick: Mom! Dad!

    ·  Herb: Wow, son! You actually recognized us this time.

    ·  Margie: And you remembered to get dressed today! [Patrick, Herb and Margie laugh]

And then Patrick’s fake parents suddenly recall that they don’t have children and walk away. And the episode ends with Patrick and his real parents laughing together.

Although I liked the beginning and the ending of this episode (which is why I ranked it fairly low on the list), I put it on this list because I hated how Patrick (who is one of my favorite characters) was being such a jerk to Spongebob.  The first time I watched this, I was really surprised (and a little mad) when I saw Patrick treating Spongebob (his BEST friend) like he really IS stupid! It upset me a bit because I never saw Patrick that way before. To me, he was always the big, lovable sea star that was nice and hilarious. This episode certainly portrayed him as the exact opposite! Again, although I liked the ending to the episode, it was (sadly) not enough for me to take it off of this list.

Try to guess what Number 14 is!

Here's a hint: Quit being such a crybaby!

  15. Number 16: The Main Drain

About halfway through Season 7, there was a Spongebob mini-series called Legends of Bikini Bottom. THIS was one of the episodes in this mini-series and easily the worst one!

This one starts off one day at the Krusty Krab when Spongebob tries to get some Krabby Patties out of the freezer. On the way there, he slips on a puddle of water that seems to be coming from the kitchen sink. Also, I forgot to mention, Patrick walks in to greet Spongebob (but he slips). Once Spongebob gets up, he goes to pull out the drain plug when Mr. Krabs stops him.

Spongebob is confused why Mr. Krabs doesn’t want him to pull the plug, so Krabs decides to tell him (and Patrick) the story of The Main Drain. The story tells of two kids who found a drain somewhere in Bikini Bottom. Out of curiosity, they pulled the plug, which caused them (plus everyone else in Bikini Bottom) and the entire sea to be sucked into the drain. And Mr. Krabs ends the story by saying that no one, and I mean NO ONE was ever heard from again. Okay, two things wrong here. One, if everybody died, then where did the story come from? And two, if pulling the drain caused an apocalypse of all of the sea, then how is everyone still alive? Already this doesn’t make sense. Let’s move on.

Despite the warnings they are given, Spongebob and Patrick set out to find this drain. They try to get some information from Old Man Jenkins and Plankton, but to no avail. Eventually they find the drain, but Patrick doesn’t want to leave yet. Instead of leaving the drain alone, Patrick wants to unplug it.

    Patrick: Let’s pull it!

Spongebob: No! We came to see if it was real!

Patrick: Well, how do you know it isn’t a fake? If we don’t, then we’ll never know…

So basically, Patrick is willing to risk ending the world just to prove a point. *facepalm* Just as Patrick is about to pull the plug, Mr. Krabs and Plankton jump in to stop Spongebob and Patrick. Upon stopping our two protagonists, Krabs and Plankton say that they were the kids who pulled that very drain plug. Wow. That just makes even less sense than before! Anyways, everyone is relieved, until Patrick does this:

Patrick: Whew! We almost messed up BIG time! (accidentally pulls the plug as he’s wiping the sweat off his forehead)

And because of this, everyone in the sea is sucked into the drain (thanks to that big pink idiot), which causes an apocalypse of the sea! But guess what? It turns out that it was all just a story that Spongebob was reading to Patrick! Are you people serious? Not only is that the most cliché twist ending to ever exist, but now it makes even less sense than before! What a pathetic way to excuse your lazy writing!

So yes, that is the story of the Main Drain! There’s not much to say about this episode. It’s just boring, convoluted, and utterly pointless!

HInt for next episode: It's an episode in Season 2 and it's a Spongebob and Patrick episode.

  16. Number 17: Yours, Mine and Mine

As many fans know, there are episodes where Patrick is so unlikeable that you just want to smack him upside the head!

(Disclaimer: I have seen this episode a while back, so I may not be able to remember exactly what happened here. Although, I do remember the meat of the story.)

    Here’s the scenario:

Patrick whines about not being able to afford a Krabby Patty. That's your fault you lazy pink blob! So he forces SpongeBob to buy him one, because HE can't afford it. Not only that, but he also cries because the Krabby Patty came without a toy inside. Hearing this, Mr. Krabs decides to make a toy out of junk and food... but he's not just gonna hand it over. Patrick has to pay for it. But, since he can’t pay for it, he takes Spongebob’s wallet and pays for the toy… with Spongebob’s money. Wow.

So, because it was SpongeBob's money that paid for the toy, SpongeBob decides that they should share the toy. Does Patrick do that? Nope! In fact, he does the exact opposite and decides to keep the toy to himself. At first, Spongebob and Patrick try to take turns with the toy, but Patrick can’t bear to part with it for even a SECOND. And, of course, he refuses to let Spongebob have the toy and he even complains about how the whole thing is not fair.

Have I ever mentioned how unlikeable Patrick is nowadays? He either acts stupid (because he is), he acts like a smart aleck, or he acts like a bratty infant. He’s worse than he was in “The Card”. He’s worse than he was in “Smooth Jazz in Bikini Bottom”. Heck, he’s even worse than he was in “Toy Store of Doom”! Why didn’t Spongebob yell at Patrick like he did in Stuck in the Wringer?  That probably would’ve slapped some sense into Patrick!

Anyways, sick of SpongeBob wanting to share, Patrick eats the toy. Because "if he can't have it, nobody can." *sigh* This episode just keeps getting worse by the second.

Mr. Krabs realizes that the toys were a big hit, so he makes them a normal addition to the Krusty Krab. He offers Patrick and SpongeBob more of these toys... as long as they pay for them (they have to pay 13.50 each). Patrick says he'll pay for the toys, but he pulls out SpongeBob's wallet. And when Spongebob points out that Patrick was taking his wallet, Patrick actually has the nerve to say this: “Have you learned nothing about sharing?” Honestly, I wanted to punch him in the face for saying that.

This episode was just awful. This episode tries to go for the message that it’s good to share, but it does it poorly. This episode made one of my favorite characters look like a jerk (yes, Patrick is one of my favorites). If it had ended with Patrick learning that it’s good to share (especially with your friends and family), then this episode would’ve evaded my list. And unfortunately, this is isn’t the only “Patrick acts like a jerk” episode that made it on this list.

Hint for next episode: Don't pull the drain plug! (This should be really easy!)
