    • Narrator: Ah, springtime in Bikini Bottom. All sea creatures have an innate sense of the seasonal changes... [Patrick's jumps out of his rock with a purple sweater on] ...like the starfish. A quick survey of his environment... [scratches his back] ...and he knows that.
    • Patrick: It's spring!
    • Narrator: The starfish then sheds his winter coat [takes his sweater off] and stores it away safe for winter. [buries the sweater in the sand]
  1. As an amateur artist, I like the product in which I have poured my emotions into to be expressed. Because it's one of the things that defines us as a living being -- expressing just about anything.

Forgive me that all of these are Stick Figures, I'm still working on human anatomy.

  2. I have a MAL account, but I only use it to update my list. Still, I have plenty of friends over there.

Yeah, me too lololol. Add meh if you'd like: Maroon1

  3. Wolf children and Kyousogiga are my top favorite. Watamote might join in if it continues it's main character development, impressive writting and dat visuals.

While we're on this boat, any of you have a MAL account? I have like 0 friends there lol.

  4. I'm just going to get this out there before saying anything else: SpongeBob is a jerk in this episode. He's a meanie bo beanie who works his snail half to death so he can do what? Prove to Squidward that he can win a stupid contest? I've always had a problem with that aspect of the story, and that's one of the reasons this episode isn't in my top 20. However, the things this episode does right outweighs the things it does wrong, and that's why I couldn't have the heart to leave it off my list completely.

For one, this episode was chock-full of gags. Its writers knew how to keep me laughing, and keep me laughing it did. Also, the ending wrapped everything up perfectly. It not only redeemed SpongeBob and gave him a well-deserved kick to the seat of his pants (literally), but it brought Gary together with his first love interest in the series. After seeing him get tortured so badly, it was nice to see everything work out well for the old snail. All in all, I'd say that this episode, despite its faults, was a worthy member of Season 3.

This doesn't make sense. If it's what the plot intended, then it's not a flaw at all. On the contrary for this context, you should be liking it a hell of a lot more since the writting manage to give those excessive emotions.

  5. It seems the group that shows defiant towards this episode has a stronger point in the argument, thanks to Kaos94. Those who shows affection have only shown more subjective matters in theirs.

  6. The ending was unsatisfying, but the rest of the episode is good.

"A strike? Yeah! You mean you're gonna picket signs? Yeah! And you're gonna make protest speeches? YEAH! AND YOU'RE GONNA DEMAND ME RESPECT?"

  7. Being a a fan since the early 2000s I've always kept my criticism of the Spongebob franchise to myself, no access to a medium that can serve it on a corroded silver platter. Today, the Neptune above has given me the opportunity. I hope there aren't any rules about bumping an episode discussion thread.

I hope you're all nice people and not human decimating nematodes.
