    German SpongePedia Contest: Create a "Hallo Bikini Bottom" title card!

    Hi there!

    I don't know how important this contest will be for you but it can't be a bad idea to involve you here. :D

     

    The German SpongePedia starts a contest today.

     

    The episode "Hello Bikini Bottom" aired in Germany on March 9, 2013 but a German title card was never shown. We want you to create one with the text "Hallo Bikini Bottom" of it which is the original title.

     

    You can edit the real title card or create your own one (I think the second option is much more cooler). Here's the original:

    There are two ways to send in your title card but the first one includes posting it on a German SpongeBob forum.

    You should prefer the second option and send an e-mail: The address is spongepediawettbewerbe@gmx.de.

     

    I will post all title cards on the German SpongeBob forum. The users there could give you helpful tips how to change your card. If that happens, I'm sure to write you a response.

     

    You can participate until December 1, 2013 (11:59 pm). That's more than a month.

     

    After that time, the SpongePedia admins will choose the best title card.

     

    The winning title card will be put in the German SpongePedia "Hello Bikini Bottom" article ( http://de.spongepedia.org/index.php/Hallo_Bikini_Bottom_%28Episode%29 ) and the winner will receive a spongetastic price! But you must give me your name and your address if you want the price. Don't worry if you just want your title card to be shown in the "Hello Bikini Bottom" article and/or don't want to give me your data: Giving me this kind of information is not required! If an anonymous user wins, the price will be sent to another participant who gave his or her data to me.

     

    Attention: The German SpongePedia doesn't care about your data! All e-mails will be deleted immediately after the contest!

    Different countries/forums, different opinions

    I'm a member of a German SpongeBob forum and I've noticed that opinions about certain episodes are totally different in the USA (to be more detailled: this forum) and Germany.

    I think it's fun to tell you the episodes which have the most noticeable differences between these two countries. :)

     

    The Cent of Money: Got many B's here but the German users gave 6 B's, 5 C's, 2 D's, 2 E's and 6 F's. Mostly due to Mr. Krabs being mean to Gary.

     

    Trenchbillies: Got some average scores here but many D's, E's and F's in a German forum because the Trenchbillies were disgusting.

     

    Sentimental Sponge: Average and bad scores on SpongeBob Community Forums but maaany A's and B's in Germany. I like this one too.

     

    Frozen Face-Off: The majority here really likes this special but the German users gave 5 A's, 4 B's, 6 C's, 4 D's and 1 E. I gave it a D- because I didn't enjoy it at all.

     

    Face Freeze!: Most people here like it but it's one of the most hated episodes in Germany. A lot of D's and F's and only 1 B as a good grade yet.

     

    Demolition Doofus: Only A's in Germany so far. The users really liked Mrs. Puff and the demolition derby scenes in this episode. But people here think that Mrs. Puff was too creepy because she wanted to kill SpongeBob.

     

    I know that the statistics aren't totally accurate because they are based on a few people but there are tendencies nonetheless. What do think about it? :D

    I LOVED Mrs. Puff in this episode - it was amazing to see her freaking out!

     

    I also liked the demolition derby scenes. They were action-packed and it was creative how SpongeBob took out the other drivers.

    The background music was cool too!

     

    Grade: A

    I don't know if there's a topic for that already (sorry if there is one).

     

    Someone on another forum asked which episode contains SpongeBob cooking his Krusty Krab hat for Gary and it takes fire.

    I don't remember it... do you have an idea? :)

    It's finally time to post the first five episodes of my next season!


    #327 Rawr, I'm a Dinosaur! / Water You Doin'?

    327a: SpongeBob and Patrick visit a museum and learn many things about dinosaurs. SpongeBob gets really interested, wants to see a living dinosaur and uses the time machine from MermaidMan and BarnacleBoy in order to go back in time. He actually sees some real dinosaurs but when he travels back, a small Apatosaurus steps inside the machine and enters the present age, causing many problems.

    327b: Some very important persons visit the Krusty Krab and there are special meals and drinks for them. SpongeBob thinks that a glass contains water but after he emptied it he feels very dizzy (which means that this wasn't water)... can he still work like that?


    #328 Belly of the Beast / The Sound of Silence

    328a: The citizens are very annoyed by Patrick because he eats a lot of food without paying for it. SpongeBob has to be an independent mediator and tries to change Patrick's eating behaviour.

    328b: SpongeBob has enough of loud sounds and jams corks in his holes but now he can't hear his friends or alerts anymore...


    #329 Lazy Workers / Clam's Claims Complains

    329a: Mr. Krabs and Squidward accuse each other to be lazy and switch their jobs in order to see if they are right.

    329b: SpongeBob stumbles when he tries to catch a jellyfish and his net lands inside a clam. The sponge tries to get it out but the clam doesn't want to give the net back. Can SpongeBob fool it?


    #330 CPU Teaches You / Boat From the Future

    330a: Mrs. Puff refuses to teach SpongeBob anymore. She orders a computer which teaches SpongeBob alone while the rest of the class is still teached by her.

    330b: A family above the sea level loses control of their car and jumps out of it before it drives into the ocean and sinks. The car lands in front of SpongeBob's pineapple and he thinks that it's a boat from the future. And because it's such a new vehicle, he doesn't need a driver's license and drives it...


    #331 Kidward / SpongeBlob

    331a: SpongeBob provokes Squidward to such a point that his bones melt and he shrinks to a kid. SpongeBob didn't notice that, sees the small Squidward and calls him Kidward. The true horror begins.

    Note: This idea was created on September 30, 2011 - before Squid Baby was known. It also parodies Conan Edogawa of the series "Case Closed".

    331b: SpongeBob is the helping hand for Sandy's new invention, the "Shape Changer". But SpongeBob misinterprets his task and steps inside the machine instead of putting objects in it. He ends up with wobbly limbs and has to do work and freetime activities like that...

    However, here are my last ideas until the season finale:

     

     

    #321 Boring Day / Our Sorrowful Sponge

     

    321a: Patrick is bored and SpongeBob tries to entertain him because he remembers how his friend destroyed half of Bikini Bottom last time due to boredom.

     

    321b: SpongeBob's parents visit him at work and see how he gets blamed by Squidward and Mr. Krabs. They think that he has a terrible job and try to keep him away from the Krusty Krab.

     

     

    #322 Boomerang / Tentacle Feints

     

    322a: SpongeBob buys a boomerang but it seems to be a boom-erang because it has a timer. The sponge tries to throw it away but it comes back every time. However, he doesn't know that the timer is just part of the toy and is in panic...

     

    322b: Mr. Krabs calls Lars Liefish, a fish who can reveal if a person lies or not because he wants to find out why Squidward doesn't go to work so often. SpongeBob hears that and puts Squidward in dangerous situations in order to create real stories why the squid can't work.

     

     

    #323 + 324 World of the Castaways (Special)

     

    323 + 324: A big special in which SpongeBob wants to know where all persons are which he met only one time in his life (like the TattleTale Strangler, Sergeant Roderick or Madame Hag). When he takes out the trash behind the Krusty Krab, he sees that Lars Liefish, the fish from the previous episode steps inside a portal and discovers that the series creators ban them from the show. Unfortunately, he can't go back to Bikini Bottom because he knows too much...

     

    This episode idea is muuuch longer in my German version but I think that is good enough to see the point. It's 323 + 324 because it's similar to "Truth or Square" which has the numbers 123 + 124.

     

     

    #325 Genius Grandma / Ready for Reading

     

    325a: An old lady notices that Plankton is depressed (because he failed to steal the formula again) and wants to cheer him up but he ignores her and walks away. Later, he says to Karen that he failed and an old lady talked to him. Karen responds that the older generation is wise and he should respect it. Plankton thinks about her words and has a new plan: He visits SpongeBob's grandma and pretends to be a workmate who is new in the Krusty Krab but doesn't know the formula yet. He hopes that she knows more but before it gets interesting she prefers to talk about the past... will Plankton be patient enough?

     

    325b: A book becomes popular in Bikini Bottom and everyone reads it exclusing Patrick because he can't read. He asks SpongeBob to be his personal reader but things get stressful when Patrick follows him everywhere just to hear more.

     

     

    #326 Full House / Gary's First Owner (Season Finale)

     

    326a: SpongeBob forgets to close Sandy's treedome doors and floods her house. The sponge wants to apologize and as an excuse she can live with him in his pineapple. Will they live together peacefully?

     

    326b: SpongeBob brings Gary to boating school because today's lesson deals with animals in traffic. Mrs. Puff is beside herself as she thinks that Gary is her old pet which she had to give up due to private reasons. But is it really a reunion or just a major error?

     

     

    Don't worry, I have old ideas until episode 362. There will be a lot more. ;)

    #316 Popularity Overdose / Miscalculation Situation

    316a: SpongeBob saves Old Man Jenkins and becomes a hero for all retirees which gets on his nerves soon.

    316b: SpongeBob must count the number of buns in the Krusty Krab but gets interrupted numerous times.


    #317 Feng Shui Squid / Strange Customs

    317a: Squidward finds a book about feng shui and buys it. Later, he reads the special chapter "bang shui" without noticing the title. After following the instructions, he ends up being more grumpy than before.

    317b: A tour bus stops before SpongeBob's house due to a bad tire. A French fish steps out if it and asks SpongeBob about living in the pineapple until the bus is repaired. The sponge lets him in, ignoring the fact that snails are a delicacy in France - causing danger for Gary.


    #318 Don't Look in a Bull's Eye! / Thank You!

    318a: A longspined bullhead breaks out of the Bikini Bottom zoo and SpongeBob hides in his pineapple.

    318b: It's "Thank you day" in the Krusty Krab and the employees have to say "Thank you!" to each other. SpongeBob has no problem with that but Squidward's lips stay closed. Mr. Krabs threatens to fire him but the squid just can't say it...


    #319 A Lesson in Coolness / SpongeBob SpainPants

    319a: SpongeBob raves about MermaidMan and BarnacleBoy again and Pearl and her clique can hear everything. They mock him for liking old and lazy people which SpongeBob can't take. He tries to style his idols but it doesn't work too well...

    319b: SpongeBob watches TV and finds a Spain channel. Despite being unable to understand a single word, he keeps watching the whole night because he likes the pictures. Next day in the Krusty Krab, he somehow talkes only in Spanish and can't communicate properly anymore.


    #320 Squilliam's Hour of Humiliation (Special)

    320: Squilliam goes too far when he pays Mr. Krabs enough money to be the new owner of the Krusty Krab and commands Squidward. Squidward refuses to quit because he doesn't want to give up in front of his rival and works together with SpongeBob in order to outsmart Squilliam.

    Upcoming Season 9 Episodes

    I don't see how Greeks should have more information about the production numbers than us. It's not like you can see the numbers directly on your TV monitor when the episodes air. Me as a German wouldn't find out the numbers too if I wouldn't have internet.

     

    My opinion is that the uploader just guesses the numbers. Hopefully, ToonZone or a similar site can deliver us more details soon. :)
