    SpongeBob UK Marketing Guide Fall 2014

    Nickelodeon UK recently updated their marketing guides for their more prominent properties, one of which is SpongeBob! The guide has several new things about what's coming up for SpongeBob, including the roll-out of the Movie, most specifically in the United Kingdom, which also includes an Official Movie App! Nothing much is currently known about the app, but it will presumably be a game-type app. Perhaps developed with Heavy Iron Studios? We'll see.

     

    There's also quite a bit of information on the next couple of years, including "Rebranding Funny" and the 200th Episode. Three new episode titles have been included and they are "Best Day Off Ever" (too close to the episode in Season 4 name-wise, dont'cha think?), "SpongeBob Surf Shorts" (for Summer 2016) and "SpaceBob InvaderPants", of which has been mentioned previously on this forum.

     

    The theme for 2015 is "Everything is Better with Friends!". What kind of SpongeBob events will be happening in 2015? We'll just have to wait to find out!     SpongeBob Squarepants: The Yellow Avenger

    Some of the directions can be really specific for a SpongeBob game. :P Also it's kinda funny how Officer Nancy's (heh, they said her name in the game) design looks like herself but the talk screen shows her with dark purple skin and red hair like the other female cop in the show has. Just found a little mistake up there. I also saw the Skodwarde face in one of Squidward's portraits. This is the second time I've seen this. (I think the other time was for that fan made DoodleBob game or Battle for Bikini Bottom?) Once for the millionth time, they reference Scooter's name. <3 I like the music too. Overall it's pretty decent even only being an hour into the game.

     

    "The Yellow Avenger" was a pretty good game to me, at least better than "Plankton's Robotic Revenge". Totally agree that the music was great! :)

    Season 9 Discussion

    Just watched a couple recent episodes, and they were all either dull or bad, or both.

     

    Totally Agree. Come to think of it, most of the later Season 9 episodes are much worst than the episodes from Season 8, which was quite disappointing.

    So far, so bad. I don't care for all the arguments coming from "THE SHOW IS GOING BACK TO ITS ROOTS!!!!" or, more importantly, "YOU'RE JUST A HATER". The vast majority of the episodes (counting the Greek ones) are just plain dull. Where the inventive humor went, I don't know, and shows that the Sponge needs to be put out of its misery already. 

     

    The best (so far) is Jailbreak!, and it doesn't even crack the Top 75. 

     

    The worst is Little Yellow Book, with Spongebob, You're Fired not too distant away. 

     

    I found Little Yellow Book much better than Jailbreak!, specifically because Jailbreak!'s all about another lame plot to steal the Recipe, which ultimately fails, as we always expected. Little Yellow Book at least has some creativity to it. Nonetheless, we all have our opinions right? :)

    New SpongeBob App: "SpongeBob Moves In"!

    have had it for a few days. I LOVE IT. yea its slow but the game just came out I expect a while before things get jumpy and fast but I love making food n building stuff

     Me too! So glad they actually released this game. Looking back at all the other SpongeBob Apps, I have no doubt that this one is the best so far!

    New SpongeBob App: "SpongeBob Moves In"!

    The app that was indirectly announced a few months back, actually in August last year, is finally coming to an iDevice near you! The new app entitled "SpongeBob Moves In" allows players to build their own Bikini Bottom and play various games along the way. There seems to be quests/jobs for players to complete as well. 

     

    Here's EW.com's take on the game: 

     

     

    SpongeBob Moves In is a city-building app that attempts to make those old dreams of living in a pineapple under the sea more of a reality by allowing players to build their very own Bikini Bottom. The best part? The game will allow players to unlock background stories on all the characters — so it’s your lucky day if you ever wanted to learn all about Sandy’s pre-ocean life. The app also contains a bunch of random short videos featuring Squidward, Patrick, and all the rest.

    While learning more about Plankton, users also have to strive to keep the residents happy by fulfilling wishes and racking up “Jellyfish Jelly.” To keep spirits up, it might be time to break out some Slimy Dancing à la SpongeBob.

    SpongeBob Will No Longer Dominate Saturday Mornings!

    How disappointing is that? Still, i've been expecting this to happen since the start of the year. Considering that there are only so many episodes for Season 9, and that it has to be spread out over the rest of the year and next year as well, I find that it's quite reasonable. The Fairly Odd Parents cannot last long. It will soon end so, FOP haters, you are in luck! :)

    Actually, are you referring to the LIVE Show or the Soundtrack? If you're referring to the LIVE show, I must say that it was really good. It came to the country that I am living in in 2007 for 2 weeks. They actually had a competition to find the child who had the biggest SpongeBob collection ever and I entered! Guess what? I got the 1st Place prize! That was 4 VIP tickets to the show. Ahhh, good times...In fact, at a celebration in a mall for the same show, I was on national television in an advertisement promoting the show. Awesomeness!! If only they had such an event again.

    It's great that Nick is finally doing this, considering the fact that they are spreading out the episodes. These shorts are just for fun and to provide new content to viewers, which I think is Great! Plus, it had the word "Diary" in the title!!
