On August 17, 2014, SBC Manager [[Aquatic Nuggets]] announced that a rethought and reevaluated version of SpongeBob Universe had secretly been in the works for a few months already. While the launch wouldn't be released as quickly as with SpongeBob Universe, the first event in preparation for it was announced as a Logo Contest. The contest asked members to think of and create a logo for the partnership. The contest closed on September 7, 2014.
