The Quickster

The Quickster was a spin-off by teenj12. The show centers on Peter Chang, who becomes a superhero known as The Quickster. The show is set in The Teenjverse. On April 24th, 2018, teenj announced its cancellation.

Plot -

"Peter Chang is an 18 year old college student who has recently developed the ability to move at supersonic speeds. Though initially using his powers to make his own life easier, Peter becomes inspired to fight for a greater good after the death of a loved one. Along the way, Peter uncovers the shocking truth about the origin of his powers, and a dastardly plan that could potentially threaten all of New Kelp City."

Conception -

Teenj12 originally created I.J.L.S.A to tell the story of the members and their efforts to safeguard the world, but decided to instead tell each of their stories separately and retool I.J.L.S.A after. The first show intended to build to I.J.L.S.A was Miss Appear, which premiered in 2016. Captain Magma followed during the same year. Teenj decided that The Quickster would be the third character in line to headline their own show, with Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy coming last.

Main Characters -

Peter Chang / The Quickster - Peter Chang is an 18 year old college student, attending Shale University. Blessed with incredible super speed abilities, Peter eventually comes to use these powers to protect New Kelp City from other metas after the death of a loved one.

Irene Hart - 18 year old college student who is Peter's best friend and grew up in foster care. Irene encourages Peter to be the hero she believes he's meant to be.

Tyrone East - 17 year old high schooler whose father is dating Peter's mother, Sun. Tyrone is a self proclaimed hacktivist with a free spirit.

Professor Seid - Peter and Irene's college professor who runs Kelp Labs - a failing research and technology wing in the city.

Sun Chang - Peter's mother, who works for Beldon Dime at Paradye Industries.

Beldon Dime - The CEO of Paradye Industries who isn't what he appears to be.

The show has recieved positive reception since it premiered.
