Rodessance was a forum event, which started August 17, 2018 and ended August 31, 2018. It was announced by jjsthekid on August 8, 2018, although Loyal Customers first got a sneak peak of it on August 3, 2018. The event name was coined by Homie, referencing the Third SBC Renaissance.

General

During the event, the group names changed to general Western/SpongeBob Western related names. All groups kept their original colors.

Fry Cooks --> Cowboys

Retired Employees --> Coffin Jockeys

Loyal Customers --> Idiot Friends

Customers --> Pecos

Nematodes --> Varmints

Events

SpongeBob Jeopardy!

Two games were held during Rodessance. The first game on August 18th, 2018, "Western Duel", was a SpongeBob western episode themed game which was won by Wintermelon43. The second game on August 25th, 2018, "Discord Cowboys", was a mixed game which was won by sbl.

SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune

One game was held during Rodessance. The game on August 24th, 2018, "The Last Rodeo", was a SpongeBob western episode themed game which was won by Honest Slug.

Dunces & Dragons

Two games were held during Rodessance. The first game, "Outlaw Stand-Off", on August 19th, 2018 was won by Patty Sponge. The second game, "Western King" on August 26th, 2018, was won by Hayden.

Krusty Kantina iFish Contest

Another iFish contest. Users had to submit a western themed fish. Whoever had the best was judged by jjs, Cha and OWM. The winner was magic the veemon's fish, who received 1,500 doubloons and a half off a store item of choice.

Western Story Contest

Another story contest. Users had to submit a western-themed story. The judges were OWM, JCM and teenj12. The winner was Fa, who received 2,000 doubloons, 20 reputation points and a free store item of choice.

Western All-Nighter

Another all-nighter, which place on August 25th. The three winners were Trophy (EST), HawkbitAlpha (CST) and Honest Slug (PST), each receiving 1,000 doubloons.

24 Hour Posting Contest

Users had to post as much content as possible under 24 hours. It took place between August 24th - 25th. The winner was Wintermelon43, who received 2,000 doubloons.

Pest of the West Trivia Contest

A trivia contest focused on the SpongeBob episode Pest of the West. The winner was Wintermelon43, who received 1,000 doubloons and an exclusive badge.

Nick the Bandit

Users had to search through the posts of a fake user named Dead Eye Plankton, and see if any of his posts violates 5 made up rules. Whoever found all 5 examples would receive 500 doubloons and an exclusive SpongeBuck Trophy.

Minigames

Western Draw

Users pick another user to fight in a duel, with the winner chosen depending on the generator's outcome, receiving 100 doubloons. You can only play once a day, as well as the user that you picked.

Horseshow Throw

Users toss a horseshoe, and depending on how far it landed, will win doubloons or nothing. You can only play once a day.

Bullseye Target

Users shoot at a target, and depending on what target is hit, will win a SpongeBuck character icon, doubloons or nothing. You can only play once a day.

Seahorse Rodeo

Users are to round up wild seahorses using lassos, and depending on how many are caught, will win a Peco Patrick character icon, doubloons or nothing. You can only play once a day.

Dead Eye Desert Maze

Users had to navigate through a maze. There were many hidden traps related to Western SpongeBob that would slow down progress. The first three users to make it to end would receive 1,000 Doubloons, 500 Doubloons and 250 Doubloons respectively. The first place user was sbl, the second place user was Patty Sponge, and the third place user was Wintermelon43.

Store

26 new iFish items were added to the store during the event. These items were created by Patty Sponge and Cha. Here is a list of what is available:

An exclusive item, SpongeBuck Trophy, was also given away for those who completed "Nick the Bandit!".

  • During the January 2018 forum event poll, a western themed event was one of the options. Despite not winning, it was later used for Rodessance.
  • This was the first forum event to use the dubtrack room for SBC Music.
