International Village is the largest village in the world of SpongeCraftia, as well as the most densely built-in area. It straddles three countries, Historic SpongeCraftia, Unknown SpongeCraftia, and British SpongeCraftia, which is where its name is derived from. International Village features a large villager population, and an eclectic style of architecture. The International Village River is featured prominently north of the city, with IV Forest and Lake Chickenleg to the east. A network of canals and rivers also run throughout the city, with a variety of areas completely surrounded by water. International Village Square is the historic center of IV and is the city's commercial center. While technically part of three different countries, IV has historically acted as its own independent country. It is known for its long rivalry with Squidville.
Major Landmarks
Big Brick Tower - A large brick building on International Village Square. It is the tallest structure in IV and serves as the city hall of IV. Built by tvguy347. Previously named Historic International Village Building.
- International Village Square - A stone-and-quartz plaza on which a variety of shops and buildings are located. It is the first public square built in all of SpongeCraftia. Built by tvguy347.
- SBL Bakery - A bakery shop owned by spongeboblover in IV Square.
- The Villagers' Inn - One of the most popular places for villagers, the Villagers' Inn is a stay-the-night hotel for villagers on IV Square. Built by Crushingmayhem.
- RFX Movie Theater - International Village's only movie theater, and the third in all of SpongeCraftia. Built by OneFlutterWay.
- The Sitting Wolves ("Zoo of Wolves") - A area where a large number of wolves for no apparent reason. The area is prohibited from being built upon out of respect to the historicity of the area.
- Kentucky Fried Pizza 2.0 - A black-and-red restaurant on the USC-side of International Village. Built by MDPP.
- Twin Buildings - Although not exactly twins and without an actual names, the twin buildings are two tall, similar stone buildings in central IV.
- International Village Bank - The first bank in SpongeCraftia. Built by TheBigOcean.
- International Village Library - The largest library in SpongeCraftia. Built by tvguy347.
- The IV River - The first river in SpongeCraftia. It sits on the Historic SC side of IV. Built by tvguy347.
- Lake Chickenleg - A lake on the USC side of IV. Built by tvguy347.
- Lake Chickenleg Way - A lit-up walkway to Lake Chickenleg. Built by spongeboblover.
- CNF Village Court - A quartz court built on IV Square. It remains incomplete. Built by ClassicNickelodeon Fan 1.
- Villager Crossing - The all-glass containing wall that protects a railway that passes through IV. Underground stairs travel below the crossing.
- Villager's Supermarket - A supermarket for local villagers. Built by Crushingmayhem
- SpongeCraftia Customs Office - Located roughly in the center of International Village, the Customs Office allows passage across the USC and HSC border. Built by Crushingmayhem, it was one of the first buildings in IV.
- The International Village Canals - A network of small canals and waterways that run throughout the city. They were added in by tvguy in November 2015.
- International Village School - A school on the USC-side of IV. Built by crushingmayhem and OWM.
- International Village Airport - An airport on the British SC-side of IV, it serves as the main airport for IV and British SC. Built by crushingmayhem
- International Village Post Office - The main post office of IV.
- Church of the All-Seeing Eye - The branch of the church on the USC-side of IV.
- Church of Magius - A branch of the church on the HSC-side of IV.
- IV Creation Park - An art park on the northernmost part of IV. Also the site of a March Madness 2016 building contest.
- Drastical HQ - The IV branch of the Drastical Headquarters.
- Glove World - The main amusement park of IV. Featuring all different kinds of rides. It is the 2nd largest amusement park in SC.
- USC Maximum Security Prison - A prison shared between IV and USC for the worst of criminals. It is the largest prison in all of SC.
- One MDPP Tower - Previously called One IV Tower, this tall blue tower was named to honor MDPP after it was mysteriously destroyed (likely by More) and was restored by MDPP. It is the tallest building in the IV Financial Center.
- University of International Village - A center of higher education located just outside International Village. It is the first university in SpongeCraft.
Incidents
- During the founding of IV, tvguy accidentally blew up Crushingmayhem's Customs Office. It was rebuilt and remains one of the busiest areas of IV.
- Following the construction of the International Village River by tvguy, OneFlutterAway constructed a large lava tower that burned the ground around it. Water put out the lava, turning it into stone - Flutter used TNT to destroy the stone, causing damage around the river and causing the water to pour out of the river.
Villager Population
IV features the largest villager population of any village or city in SC. Well known residents of IV include -
- Pastor John - The pastor of the First Methodist Church in International Village. He can usually be found bouncing in the fountain outside the church. The First Methodist Church is the only church in IV, and one of its original buildings in the historic village area. He was killed in a mass wipeout in the area.
- Villager Rodney - The masculine owner of the Meditation Place. Status is currently unknown.
- Villager Joe - An outlaw, wanted for the robbery of the IV Market. Report him to the police if you see him!
- CHEEZE BITES! - Previously a large group of villagers who populated IV. They were all killed during a mass kill caused by an influx of sheep spawned by Zaid.
- Council of Elders - A group of villagers that were a part of IV's government. They were killed in a mass kill command.
- Donald Trump - The 45th President of the United States also happens to wander the streets of IV.
