Timeline
January to March
Metal Snake became a new Cashier on January 6, 2017, after tyeamwork stepped down from her position. A mini forum-event was held from January 20 to January 22, 2017, called Missing Identity. A brand new music themed event called Fab Beats February started February 13, 2017 and ended February 28, 2017. SBC Music 4.0 was released during the event. March Madness 2017 started March 1, 2017 and ended March 31, 2017, which the Band Geeks won. On March 13, 2017, SBC reached 1,000 members. On March 14, 2017, horrible news struck the SpongeBob community. Stephen Hillenburg was diagnosed with ALS. Many users, even those who did not watch SpongeBob regularly anymore, posted their respects. The ALS Fundraiser was started as a result of this.
April to June
A mini teams forum event called May Mayhem started May 1st, 2017 and ended May 14th, 2017, which the Drasticals won. JCM resigned from his admin position on May 15, 2017. Spin-Off Festival 7 started May 26, 2017 and ended June 19, 2017, which was a massive success.
July to September

Snowcember Ball 2017 began December 8, 2017 and ended December 29, 2017, which the Band Geeks won.
