Plankton 16 is the 16th version of SBC, released on July 18th, 2025. sbl was the lead designer of this version. It serves a tie-in to Plankton: The Movie, which was released a few months prior.
Foreshadowing
In the weeks leading up to the release, Plankton kept posting on the forum that he had changed his evil ways and offered improvements to the community. Sneak peeks were also posted for Loyal Customers weekly, and then daily leading up to the release.
New Features
- Three new skins: V16 Plankton, V16 Plankton Dark and Computer W.I.F.E. Each with a unique glow around the forum!
- V14 Jellyfish, V14 Jellyfish Dark and Steppin' on the Beach! became Loyal Customer exclusives. Neptune's Castle is now only accessible using King Neptune for a Day.
- One skin added to the Skin Store: The Owl House Community (Loyal Customer exclusive)
- One new Community Store item: Cashier for a Week.
- New 15 Year Anniversary badge. The other anniversary badges also received updated designs.
- New Recent Achievements widget.
- Achievement level points adjusted.
- Official release of QueUp for SBC's new music room. A party was held on July 19th to celebrate.
- Rules page overhaul.
- Discord server upgraded to Community. Other Discord updates:
- New Weather Bot with a dedicated channel: #weather-channel.
