  3. (Notice: Loyal Customers have already seen this topic, this is just a general topic for everyone.) Yeehaw, greetings partners! Y'all will be learning what our August forum event is, which is called... "Rodessance"! Rodessance will be a western themed event, mostly based on Pest of the West and other western themed episodes. The event name was coined by Homie, combining the "rodeo" and "renaissance". Given the events of SBC's Third Renaissance, it's only fitting we end the summer with an event named after it. After everything this summer, it's only right we end it with a nice, relaxed event like this. Our past August events such as Camp SBC, Summer Knights and Jellyfish Festival all have a relaxed, fun, end of summer vibe to them, and Rodessance will continue that tradition. This will be a great event that really brings the community together and also give a boost to activity. Grab your cowboy gear and get ready for awesome wild west skins and games this month! Rodessance will start August 17th and conclude August 31st. Here's some things to expect during the event: • Western Minigames: There will be a few western minigames during the event allowing you to earn some great prizes, which include: Western Draw, Horseshoe Throw, Bullseye Target and Seahorse Rodeo! • SpongeBob Jeopardy!: The Season 11 premiere of Jeopardy will be a western SpongeBob episode themed game on August 18th. Get ready for one heck of a western showdown in this game! • SBC Music Hoedowns: After Wheel of Fortune every Friday, get ready for one heck of a wild west SBC Music party! • SpongeCraft Tournaments: SpongeCraft will have two tournaments on August 18th and 25th, using the location Dead Eye Gulch for some wild west shenanigans! • Dunces & Dragons: There will be two western themed D&D games during the event on August 19th and 26th. • iFish: There will be new western themed iFish items, created by both Cha and Patty! We'll be also having another iFish contest where these will be useful in, so start saving up on doubloons! • Western Story Contest: Here's another chance to show off some of your creativity. Write a western themed story and see if you can impress the judges with your writing talent! • All-Nighter: The All-Nighter makes a return during the event! See which brave cowboy can stay up the longest on a certain day! • 24 Hour Posting Contest: This will also make a return! See who can post the most on the forums on a certain day! And obviously there's a lot more to come, but there's a taste of what you're in for, partners. Feel free to practice your western accents or western personas in general, because this is going to be one wild event! We hope this will be a fun way to end SBC's summer season! Note that this is not a teams event, this is just a free for all event similar to past one-off events.
  4. Given recent events across the community, I'm sure many of you expected staff changes, given how shorthanded we've been since the events occurred. The time has come for staff changes: We have a new admin and moderator to help bring balance back. Here is a list of changes: As you're all aware, @JCM is an admin again and now has complete control of SBC's servers and databases! He is our big tech guy for now. Just please don't bug him too much. Next up, @TJ12 is now an admin! Teenj has had quite a loyal and dedicated history at SBC, serving as a mod for quite a few years. But he is now coming out of retirement to evolve into an admin. He has the experience, passion and is someone I trust a lot to help lead the site. And last but certainly not least, @Homie 🎀 is now a moderator! Homie is someone who truly deserves this position, not just because of her actions during recent events, but how she has handled herself in general on the site. Give Homie and teenj a special round of applause! SBC has entered a new era and regardless of wherever that era goes from here, I have faith it will go well thanks to our current staff team. (Seriously tho, let's hope we keep a stable staff for a while!)
  5. Yup, I've teased this for a while now, but here it is! The Sponge Cup (credit to @TJ for coining the name) is our next big teams event for the summer! Based on the FIFA World Cup, from July 1st to July 31st, we're having our own site cup! Once again, the site's teams: Band Geeks, Drasticals, and Independents will face off each other to see who can get the most points by the end of the month. This time around though, in addition to the normal competition, we'll be incorporating more posting in these games, which will help activity a lot! Here's a few games you can expect during the event... Shootouts: A brand new minigame, with a fitting soccer theme! See who can score the most soccer goals throughout the month, and how many points you can rack up for your team by the end! This is a game that will allow every team member to have a chance to participate and help their side. SpongeBob Whodunnit?: Whodunnit returns with another mind boggling case! See if you can work together with your teams to figure it out! SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: Every Friday during July, be prepared for some competitive wheel spinning! SpongeBob Jeopardy!: Every Saturday during July, there will be an intense Jeopardy game. Also, special notice: the 300th Jeopardy game (wow) will be July 14th, so especially tune in for that grand game! SpongeCraft Blockball Tournaments: Yup, every Saturday during July after Jeopardy, SpongeCraft will be having intense Blockball tournaments to really fit the FIFA theme! Dunces & Dragons: D&D will continue throughout July every Sunday! Be prepared for an intense survivor match, a soccer game, a hunt, a mystery, and yet another race! Wiki Write-Offs: Every Monday in July, see who can dominate the wiki with the best editing and knowledge! SBC Music DJ Showdowns: Every Friday in July after WOF, get ready to play some epic songs to ensure victory! The Fry Cook Games VII: The Fry Cook Games returns for a 7th edition. See who can be the best in an intense eight rounds, with several new types of challenges! And of course, as you're used to by now, that's not every event! We hope most team members from each side can participate (of course we understand if you cannot attend every single event, that's physically impossible), but it would make your team happy if you at least tried in a few events. You may plan with your teammates in private PM's, the Discord group chats, or the team clubs. This will be a fun and intense event for everyone, even if you aren't competitive. There will also be team skins and new iFish items to show your team spirit! You don't have to be on a team to play, but if you want to join, team sign-ups are here. If you have further questions, ask me, or one of the team leaders (Fred Rechid for the Band Geeks, Hayden for the Drasticals). Here are the current team rosters, but remember, there is still room to join!: Band Geeks: Drasticals: Independents: Anyone not listed above. Good luck to all, and may the best team win! Hopefully nobody gets a concussion!
  6. If you haven't noticed, we have a "new" staff group: Fry Cooks! If you aren't aware, Fry Cooks (aka GFX Designers) were once our graphics team. It was discontinued at the end of 2012 when MDPP became the only active one ( ), but since we have several artistic and graphical members now, it's back! These users will help serve nice graphics fresh off the grill to the site on their own time. They aren't actual moderators nor do they have their powers, so it's a stress-free job for them, but they can still participate in staff discussions. Our current team consists of @Cha♡, @Patty Sponge and @JCM! Yup, two former staff members have risen from the ashes to rejoin us, along with Cha who has made several great graphics and artwork herself in the past. I look forward to what they bring for future SBC graphics, whether skins or store items or badges or anything else!
  7. @OWM is our newest addition to the Cashiers! That's right, the Hall Monitor himself, the Open Window Maniac, is now moderating SBC! He has taken the torch from crushing, who has earned a break. Crushing served a good two years. That being said, he will remain an OP on SC and a moderator of Discord, so he'll still be with us in other capacities.
  8. While you are enjoying the last few days in the future and traveling in space, here's our next forum event! That's right, our sixth annual March Madness is coming, and it will be our best yet! For those unaware, this is our largest yearly team event. From March 1st to March 31st, our three forum teams, the Band Geeks, Drasticals, and Independents (the side if you don't want to be on a team) will duel across the site to see who are the kings. Whichever team wins the most events by the end of the month will receive glorious prizes. This will be the fourth March Madness to have the Band Geeks and Drasticals face each year, and the second to have the Independent side playable. The Band Geeks won lat year 32-25-3. Who knows which way it will go. Here's a preview of several events to expect... 1.) SpongeBob Jeopardy!: All four Jeopardy games every Saturday in March will count on the scoreboard. 2.) SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: All five Wheel of Fortune games every Friday in March will count on the scoreboard. 3.) Dunces & Dragons: All four Dunces & Dragons games every Sunday in March will count on the scoreboard. 4.) SpongeCraft Tournaments: There will be SpongeCraft games every Saturday in March after Jeopardy counting for the scoreboard. 5.) The Fry Cook Games VI: The Fry Cook Games returns for the sixth edition! Who will be the ultimate champion this time? Each round during this will count for the scoreboard. 6.) Whodunnit?: The hit game from Octerror Fest and Snowcember Ball returns, with a sporty twist! Solve a mystery and gain points for your side if you guess the correct culprit! 7.) SBC Music DJ Showdowns: Every Friday night after Wheel of Fortune, there will be music tournaments on SBC Music to see whichever team member can get the most liked song by the end of the hour, which counts on the scoreboard! 8.) Wiki Write-Offs: Every Monday night in March, we'll be having a competition to see who can contribute most to the wiki in a given timeframe, and the team member that contributes the most (that isn't spam) will get a point for their team. 9.) Capsule Champions: *Thursday nights in March, we'll have a competition to see who can add the most episode capsules. Whoever wins gets a point for their side. (*Note: I'm aware not many episodes are left to add, so we'll see how many of these we do.) As you can see, almost every aspect of the site will be involved in one way or another. There are more games and surprises coming I did not talk about. We hope most team members from each side can participate (we understand if you cannot attend every single event, that's physically impossible), but it would make your team happy if you at least tried in a few events. You may plan with your teammates in private or the team clubs. This will be a fun and intense event for everyone, even if you aren't competitive. There will also be team skins and iFish items to show your team spirit! You don't have to be on a team to play, but if you want to join, team sign-ups are here. If you have further questions, ask me, or one of the team leaders (Fred for Band Geeks and Hayden for Drasticals). Current team rosters: Drasticals: Band Geeks: Independents: Anyone who isn't listed in the teams above.

A lot of people have been asking, and yes, we have a Discord! It was unofficial until now, but we've decided to make it official. Hooray! You can find the link in the navigation under "Things to Do". To prevent spammers, you'll have to confirm yourself on SBC before you can talk. Just put in the shoutbox "Hey, I joined Discord and my name on there is _____" and one of the staff members will give you talking permission!
  10. (Note: Loyal Customers have already seen this, this is for everyone.) Yup, this is our next event, voted on by the community! Get ready to blast off into the stars (and buy candy bars) in Futuristic February...IN SPACE! Due to the high popularity of both space and future, we combined elements of them together into one out of this world adventure! Futuristic February: In Space! will start February 12thand end February 26th. Watch as SBC gets flung into space and the future! Here's a rundown of some games to expect: 1.) SpongeBob Jeopardy!: Jeopardy returns as an intergalactic game show on February 17th and 24th! 2.) SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: The new and improved Wheel of Fortune will be apart of the event on February 16th and 23rd! 3.) Dunces & Dragons: Roll the dice into space for some futuristic and galactic shenanigans for D&D on February 18th and 25th! 4.) SBC Music Galactic Parties: Jam out to your favorite beats in the futuristic SBC Music room on February 16th and 23rd! 5.) SpongeCraft Tournaments: Futuristic and Space Spongecraftia will both get some love on February 17th and 24th! 6.) The Space Race: Compete in this high speed race across the stars against fellow users in a brand new roleplaying game! 7.) iFish: Dress up your iFish with some cosmic outfits, including robots, aliens and astronauts! There will be even be a contest to judge who is the best fish! If you're a big sci-fi fan then, you'll enjoy this event a lot. If not, this will still be fun for everyone. No big team competition for this, just a relaxed event for everyone. You'll see if everything truly is chrome in the future, blast some asteroids, and maybe even avoid some alien abductions! Credit to @Hayden and @SpongeOddFan for coining the event name.
  11. Updated: February 12th, 2018. Welcome to the Ultimate Doubloon-Making Guide! Prepare to be educated! First, we must start with the basics: doubloons are a virtual currency that we have on SBC. You can use doubloons to purchase virtual goods in the SBC Store (link in the navigation) or even, perhaps, a commission from someone. There are many things you can buy with doubloons such as clothing for your iFish or even King Neptune, which allows you to become supreme overlord of SBC for a day. How do you get doubloons, you ask? Well, that's what this guide is all about! Below is a list of ways that you can earn doubloons on SBC. 1. The fun way: Chatting on Discord You can rack up doubloons by joining our Discord server (the link is under "Things to Do" in the navigation at the top) and chatting. The Karen bot will keep up with how much you've earned, which can then redeem on here! It's certainly a fun way to earn doubloons 2. The fastest way: play games such as "SpongeBob Jeopardy", "SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune", and "Dunces & Dragons" For the huge majority of these hour-long games, the winning prize is 2,000 doubloons and a badge. This is perhaps the easiest and most fun way to earn doubloons on SBC; however, there are only three opportunities a week and only one person in each game wins (in most games; some games will allow for multiple winners, so be on the lookout!). WOF also has prizes where you can win doubloons even if you do not win the game - the lowest prize being 100 doubloons. WOF is on Fridays at 7 PM ET, Jeopardy is on Saturdays at 7 PM ET, and Dunces & Dragons is on Sundays at 7 PM ET. 3. The normal way: posting on SBC! For every post, you get 1 doubloon. For every topic, you get 2 doubloons. This changes if you are posting in the Spin-Off forum, where you get 10 doubloons for every post and 20 doubloons for every topic. Retired Employees have special undisclosed amounts (they're seeeeeecret), so if you're one of them, message me and I will tell you. 4. The cool way: jamming it up on SBC Music For every like you get at the end of every song on SBC Music, you get a doubloon! How easy is that? 5. The game of luck: SBC's Lottery The lottery is one of the easiest ways to gain doubloons. If you win, you get 500 doubloons! The way it works is that you pay for a lottery ticket in the SBC Store and, at 2 AM ET, the lottery is drawn. The person who has the closest number to a preselected random number is the winner! This means that there is usually a winner every day. For 10 doubloons a ticket and up to 5 entries a day, why not try? 6. Participating in forum events SBC has forum events all the time that gives doubloons! Participate in them and you'll win doubloons. 7. The desperate way: volunteering for SBC If you ask me if you could volunteer for doubloons, I will almost never say no. If you do some things for me, then I will surely give you doubloons in return! Depending on the task, I might give a good amount. Some things I might ask you to do is gather information on the newest SpongeBob episode or type a wiki article. I hope this guide has been funducational. Now make some doubloons!
  12. Yup, our holly jolly forum event returns! The Loyal Customers ave already seen this, but I'm posting this for everyone. Our sixth annual winter/Christmas/whatever holiday you celebrate event will begin December 8th and end December 29th! Here's a sneak preview of what to expect during it... For starters, this forum event will be another teams tournament between the Band Geeks, Drasticals and Independent users, competing in the "Snowcember Cup". The Drasticals will gain one point via default due to winning Octerror Fest 2017. Almost every activity during the event will count on the scoreboard. Whichever side wins by the end of the event will receive grand prizes. If you want to be a part of the Band Geeks or Drasticals, then feel free to sign up in "Teams Sign-Ups". Here's several jolly games to expect: 1.) SpongeBob Jeopardy!: Jeopardy will have three holiday games on December 9th, 16th and 23rd! 2.) SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: Wheel of Fortune will have three games during the event on December 8th, 15th and 22nd! 3.) Dunces & Dragons: Dunces & Dragons will have two games during the event on December 10th and 17th! One of the maps will be a sleigh race! 4.) SpongeCraft Tournaments: SpongeCraft will have three games on December 9th, 16th and 23rd. Arctic Spongecraftia will be used again for the winter SC games. Even if you don't want to play in the events, SpongeCraftia will become a winter wonderland with beautiful Christmas decorations! 5.) SBC Music Snowcember Parties: Music parties will occur very Friday during the event (December 8th, 15th and 22nd). We'd like people to play holiday themed music, and whoever has the most liked song by the end of the hour will receive prizes! 6.) Secret Santa Program 2017: Yup, this yearly tradition returns! Buy gifts from our Store for other users anonymously. Make someone happy this holiday season! Note this won't be something you can "win" for the Snowcember Cup, it's just a fun little side activity where you can be nice to others. 7.) SBC Christmas Trivia Contest 2017: Our sixth annual Christmas trivia contest will also be occur, with new and old themes to it! Play in several rounds of Christmas trivia to win grand prizes! 8.) iFish: Many old items from Snowcember Ball 2012, 2015 & 2016 will return, along with brand new ones made by @Cream! As usual, there will be another jolly iFish contest to mix and match your favorite designs for. 9.) Whodunnit?: Holiday Edition: Yup, the popular Octerror Fest game returns...with a holiday twist! 10.) Stop What You Are Doing: Holiday Edition: Just like the past two years, we'll be doing another winter SWYAD during the event! Sign-ups will go up soon. ...and of course, that's far from everything being revealed! There is a lot more to expect I haven't mentioned but much like presents, it's best to keep them a surprise. I can say there will be cool new skins during the event, with two designed by Cream and I. This will be our coolest and hopefully best Snowcember Ball yet, ending the year with a breezy bang! It may hopefully go down in history as one of our greatest forum events ever. Even if you're not into the competitive scene for it, there will still be lots of content for people to do and explore. It will really be a nice event for the community as a whole.

    Browsers

I decided to give SBC a nod to our past: the browser that you're using shows up in your posts now! Before: After: Note that for space issues, browsers do not show up on mobile right now. I'm going to eventually revamp badges on mobile because it's kinda weird. Currently, the browsers only work for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, Opera, and Android. If you use any other browser, you won't have a browser show up. Don't sue me: Font Awesome doesn't support any other browser. Ask them to support your browser! Do you like the new browser feature? Let us know.
  14. Yes, you read that title correctly. @Cream is now one of SBC's admins! A lot of you are probably surprised by this, but Cream has shown herself to be a mature, dedicated, and helpful member over her past year on SBC, along with great graphical skills to provide for the site. We believe she will be helpful to the team in the graphical department, especially with future skins and more.
  15. Yup, to close out SBC's summer, here's our next new forum event! This is a jellyfishing themed event. The site will be transformed into a jellyfish paradise. Jellyfish will appear all over SBC, and your goal is to see who can catch the most through games! Each game will reward you at least one jellyfish as a prize for winning it, but there will be a few other secret ways to find jellyfish. Whichever user has the most captured jellyfish by the end of the event will receive several mysterious and epic prizes. The event starts August 18th, 2017 and concludes September 4th, 2017. Here are just a few games to expect during the event: SpongeBob Jeopardy! SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune Dunces & Dragons SpongeCraft SBC Music Jelly Parties 24 Hour Posting Contest Club SBC Competitions This will be a more chill event in the vein of Camp SBC and Summer Knights, but there will still be some competition to it! May the best jellyfish hunter win!

    TV.com Archive

As an attempt to preserve SBC history, I have created a complete archive of the SpongeBob SquarePants forums on TV.com that is accessible to the public. This topic will be pinned for your convenience. ACCESS IT HERE: https://www.thesbcommunity.com/archive/www.tv.com/shows/spongebob-squarepants/forums/index.html If you would like to know why the archive was made, TV.com decided to remove all of their show forums from their website, despite people protesting against it. Since SBC would not exist today without TV.com's SpongeBob forums, the removal of the forums feature destroys a significant portion of SBC's early history. The archive was made in an attempt to preserve SBC's early history so that we will always have a copy of SBC's history. I will be working on a search engine throughout the week so that you can search the archive. In the meantime, if you need to search, the SpongeBob forums is still available on TV.com currently. You can still search there.
  17. (Note: Loyal Customers and Drasticals have already seen this, just posting it for everyone.) ...Huh? Could it be? Yes, it is. I know a lot of you have been waiting for news on the July event, and here it is! Here is everything about the July event in-depth, called...the July of Justice. If that image isn't a sign, July of Justice is a SpongeBob superhero and super villain themed event...and it also involves teams! Yup, this is our summer team event, but with a twist. For the first time ever, this event will have two new limited edition SBC teams: The Heroes and Villains, who will face off against each other in games for control of SBC City. Everyone who is active will be randomly transformed into either Heroes or Villains the day the event starts by Karen, so there will be no draft. Only she will decide if you will be a goody gumdrop, or pure evil! There is no Independent side either: you're either going to be a hero or a villain. If you aren't active for the picking, no worries, we'll manually add you later. Don't be upset if you are selected into a side you don't want to be on, as they are temporary anyways, and maybe some team members from your regular teams could be with you, who knows? If you don't want to play, that's perfectly fine. You don't have to, this is just to make the process easier for us. If you don't want to play in the games, you can also roleplay as your favorite SpongeBob heroes and villains around the forums, such as Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy, The Quickster, Man Ray, Dirty Bubble, Kelp Thing, and more! If you are playing in the games, then gear up your superhero or super-villain powers, gadgets, clothes and all those fancy doohickeys, because it's gonna be a slobberknocker. Whichever side has conquered the most of SBC City by the end of the event will receive powerful prizes. The July of Justice starts July 10th and concludes July 31st. The Band Geeks and Drasticals will be temporarily disbanded during the event, but don't worry, they will return after the epic battle between Heroes and Villains. (this explains why May Mayhem happened, since you won't be on your regular teams again for some time) Here's a few games and features to expect... 1.) SpongeBob Jeopardy!: On July 15th, 22nd and 29th, play in several superhero themed Jeopardy games for control of the Jeopardy room. 2.) SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: Wheel of Fortune S4 will start during the event, and will have games on July 14th, 21st and 28th counting for the event. But who is the true villain? The wheel or the actual villain group?! 3.) Dunces & Dragons: Three games on July 16th, 23rd and 30th will count for the event, all superhero themed. One game will have a Mermalair map! 4.) The Super Games: Heroes vs. Villains: A spin-off of The Fry Cook Games, that has been transformed through radioactive waste! But this one has many differences, such as a roleplaying aspect, along with other new games and formats! 5.) SpongeCraft Tournaments: SpongeCraft's territory is up for grabs too in this scuffle on July 15th, 22nd and 29th. 6.) SBC Music Super Showdowns: Jam out for control of SBC Music on July 14th, 21st and 28th! 7.) iFish: Dress up your iFish characters with clothes of your favorite SpongeBob heroes and villains, created by Cha! There will be even a contest to determine who has the best clothing during the event! And much, much more you'll have to wait until later on to see! This will be a very intense and different kind of event, one I've been looking forward to for a long time. I know a few people have wanted a superhero themed event forever, so we finally delivered. It's okay if you don't contribute much to your team, but there will be ways for every team member to have a chance to do something, even if minor. We figured this would be fun way to shake up the teams formula, and let everyone have a chance to help out a (temporary) team even if they aren't a regular player, along with letting you work together with users you may not have before for teams. Special thanks to @Daria Fredgendorffer who coined the event name. Who will prevail in the end? Heroes or Villains? Find out soon, true believers!
  18. Peekaboo! Yup, our annual event celebrating Spin-Offs & Literatures is back once again! What is the Spin-Off Festival, if you have no clue what I'm going on about? The Spin-Off Festival, or SOF (), is an event where we honor people's well-written spin-offs and literatures ("Spin-Off & Literature Festival" is a bit awkward, you feel?), whether past or present, with games, events and more! This is a cool event that sparks activity in the spin-off/lit section, and might even get some newer members interested. Going from May 26th, 2017 to June 19th, 2017, we're going to have our best Spin-Off Festival ever! What will it have? Expect lots of things from 5 & 6 to return, but with other new activities to make it stand out on its own. Here are just a few activities to expect... * Spin-Off & Lit Trivia Contest: This is back again like the previous two years, but the difficulty spike is much higher this time around. Do you think you truly know everything about spin-offs & lits? If so, then try out your skills in this game. * SpongeCraft Tournaments: SpongeCraft will get some cool carnival themed games during the event. They will be every Saturday night during the event at 8:30pm ET, after Jeopardy. * SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: There will be three Spin-Off & Literature Wheel of Fortune games on Fridays (May 26th, June 2nd, and June 9th) during the event. * SpongeBob Jeopardy!: There will be three Jeopardy games based on Spin-Offs/Lits counting for SOF7 during the event on May 27th, June 3rd, and June 10th. * Dunces & Dragons: D&D S2 starts June 4th, just in time for the event, with a few spin-off/lit related roleplaying games! * Spin-Off/Lit Games & Stores: Just like the past two years, for a limited time only, we'll be allowing users to bring back stores to sell some merchandise related to your creations, along with spin-off/lit games! If users want to make their own games, go ahead, because we want to give users as much freedom as possible during this, as long as they make sense. We'll also be doing official Best & Worst Spin-Off/Literatures countdown lists during the event! * SOF Tickets & Prize Store: SOF Tickets will be returning for the third time in a row. This is a temporary sub-currency, like Doubloons. You'll be able to earn these from winning a multitude of games during the festival, and other ways which you'll see. You can use these to buy special prizes at the Prize Store, a temporary new Store category, giving it a legit carnival fair. There will be a ton of new and unique prizes this year, and we want to make sure everyone gets a chance to buy 'em. Don't cry if you think you won't get any, as there will be a ton of new ways to earn them (including new minigames). If you gained any SOF Tickets from the previous two years, those are all gone, and you cannot transfer them over; everyone is starting fresh. And no, the tickets don't have SOF's face on them. * Stop What You Are Doing: For the first time ever, there will be a fitting SWYAD for this Spin-Off Festival! Starting tomorrow, you will be able to reserve the names of Spin-Off/Lit Characters of your choice (credit to teenj for this idea) to use during the event. As an added bonus, anyone who participates in the SWYAD gets free 30 SOF Tickets the day the event starts! Sign-ups here. * ...and many more surprises you'll have to wait for! If you don't write or read any spin-offs/lits, that's cool man. You don't have to read or make any to participate in some of these events, but again, participating in this is optional anyways. If you do want to participate, feel free to start brainstorming new creations, new episodes, read other people's stuff, or whatever else you want to do during the event. Or you could just be the chill person who plays in the games for fun without writing anything, that works too. Also, Glovey is staring into your soul on the banner.

    Beta: Club SBC

I am pleased to announce the beta release of Club SBC! Club SBC is our very own Club Penguin private server. Because this is a beta, this means that there will be bugs. Please do not report bugs at this time. All bug reports will be immediately closed and locked. Everyone will start out with 500 coins. If you have ads enabled, you will also receive 25 coins for every day that you have ads enabled in addition to your 25 doubloons. You'll receive them automatically just like your doubloons! This took me almost a month to complete, so you all better be appreciative! More features to come. I do have some ideas for what I want to do with Loyal Customers, but we'll have to wait to see what comes up. You are also allowed to have as many penguin accounts as you want. If you have ads enabled, you'll receive 25 coins for all of your penguins daily. Access it here: https://www.thesbcommunity.com/clubsbc/
  20. As I stated a while ago, there is a smaller scale teams forum event coming in May. And this is it! May Mayhem is basically a diet March Madness. It will last from May 1st to May 14th. There will be a collection of random games (SpongeBob Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Music Parties, SpongeCraft, Cards Against Humanity, etc.) every day for 14 days. Whichever side wins the most in those 14 days (Band Geeks, Drasticals, or Independents) will receive interesting prizes, one of which is a sneak peek at a summer forum event. This won't be super huge like March Madness, but it's a nice mini team-event to pass the time, giving them another chance to do something. This is still an official teams event. Hopefully at least some team members from each side help out, even if this won't be that huge. If you feel you may have sucked at March Madness 2017, here's another chance to win some stuff for your team. If you forget who is on each side... Band Geeks: Drasticals: Independents: Anyone not listed above. If you want to be on either the Band Geeks or Drasticals, see this topic. I know, you may still be confused, wondering why this is even happening at all, or so soon. Well...there is another reason, but I'll keep that secret for now...
  21. That's right, we haven't forgotten about this! Even though Fab Beats February has a week left, it's time I announced the return of our biggest yearly team event, which is our fifth March Madness! From March 1st to March 31st, our three forum teams, the Band Geeks, Drasticals, and Independents (where you go if you don't want to be on a team) will duke it out for superiority across the site. Whichever team wins the most events by the end of the month will receive very special prizes. This will be the third March Madness to have the Band Geeks and Drasticals face each year, and the first to have the Independent side playable. The Drasticals won last last year 29-24. Will they win again, or will the Band Geeks end their curse, or could the Independents make a surprise victory? I'm not a fortune teller, but it could go either way. Here is just a sneak preview of events to expect... 5.) The Fry Cook Games V: The Fry Cook Games returns, with new features and rules to it. Each round during this will count for the scoreboard. 6.) SBC Music DJ Showdowns: Every Friday night after Wheel of Fortune, we'll be doing music tournaments on the new SBC Music (which was updated just in time!) to see whichever team member can get the most liked song by the end of the hour, which counts on the scoreboard! 7.) Wiki Write-Offs: This is back again. Every Monday night in March, we'll be having a competition to see who can contribute most to the wiki in a given timeframe, and the team member that contributes the most (that isn't spam) will get a point for their team. 8.) Capsule Champions: A new game for this March Madness. Every Thursday night in March, we will have a competition to see who can add the most episode capsules. Whoever wins gets a point for their side. There will be a few more things coming I did not talk about, along with there being more to the games listed above. We hope at least most team members from each side can participate (We understand if you cannot attend every single event, that is physically impossible), but it would make your team happy if you at least tried in an event. You don't have to be on a team to play in this March Madness (making it the first one where everyone can play), but if you want to join, team sign-ups are here. If you have further questions, ask me, or one of the team leaders (Trophy for Band Geeks and Hayden for Drasticals). Current team rosters: Drasticals: Band Geeks: Independents: Anyone who isn't listed in the teams above.

Some of the highlights; You can now move around a brand new dance floor with your iFish! 8 brand new turntables THE RETURN OF LINE CUTTER A fresh new look Some much needed bug fixes I hope you all like the new update.
  23. As I have teased to some for a while, yes, there is a brand new forum event coming in February. The Loyal Customers have seen this all already, but here it is for the public. What is "Fab Beats February", you may ask? It's a music themed event! Yes, this may appeal to the music ehnthusiastics on SBC. But this event will be a lot different from past events. A lot of the events will take place on SBC Music (barring stuff like Jeopardy, SpongeCraft, WOF and D&D). There will be new activities we host there, not just the music parties. We figured this would be a fun way to revive interest in SBC Music. But there's another twist (!). This event has a competitive edge to it, because there's an end goal to it. Each game and activity during it will give users music discs to collect. Whoever has the most music discs by the end of the event will be SBC's Music Master, receiving super awesome and mysterious prizes! Here's a few things to expect, but obviously I'm not going to say all of them... 1.) Music Trivia Contests: There will be several music trivia games held during the event, on various bands and musicians. They will take place on the SBC Music room. 2.) Music Parties: But of course we can't have a music event without our SBC Music Parties! Yes, these will occur February 18th and 25th after WOF. There will be special themes to both. 3.) Music Mini-Games: Several other mini-games will be held on SBC Music at certain times. Stay tuned for more info on those. 4.) SpongeBob Jeopardy: There will be two music themed Jeopardy games on February 18th and 25th. 5.) SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: There will be two music themed WOF games on February 17th and 24th. 6.) Dunces & Dragons: There will be two music themed D&D games on February 19th and 26th. 7.) SpongeCraft: There will be two SpongeCraft games on February 18th and 25th, after Jeopardy. 8.) Stop What You Are Doing: That's right, SWYAD is back again, this time for musicians! Start thinking of a musician you want to be during the event, because sign-ups for that will start next week. We think this will be a cool event. It's not too long, but not too short, either. The music discs quest also gives it a unique feel, along with most of the games taking place on SBC Music. Even if you're not into the competitive part of the event, we think it'll be fun enough for everyone. There will be lots of other surprises to expect during it. It will last from February 13th to February 28th. Credit to Metal Snake for the title of this event.
  24. @Metal Snake, aka CloudMistDragon, aka LukeJames, aka Metallic Serpent, whatever names you want to call him by, is our newest SBC moderator! Give him a warm congratulations: You may be surprised to see another staff change so soon, when Fred was promoted not too long ago. The reason for this is because tyeamwork (@Tamatoa) has unfortunately decided to step down from her position. Much like Patty, this was nothing personal, but she felt she had no time to be an active staff member anymore. While I wish she could have stayed longer, we respected her decision, and chose someone we felt was best to take her place for a variety of reasons. I know a lot of members are confused or upset by her resignation, but this was her own choice. She even recommended us promoting someone, as she felt someone else more active should take her place. We'll miss her love for Plankton on the staff, and wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors. This will hopefully be our last staff change for a while. (unless strange things happen, which they hopefully won't)
  25. Loyal Customers have already seen this, but they can read this again if they are daring, or ignore it, whichever works. I am posting this for everyone. Yup, it's coming, if you didn't predict it... Our fifth annual winter/Christmas/whatever holiday you celebrate (we won't discriminate) event will begin December 9th and end December 29th! Here's a sneak preview of what to expect during it... For starters, much like Octerror Fest 2016, this forum event will be a giant teams tournament between the Band Geeks, Drasticals and Independent users. You do not have to be on a team to play in this, you can be Independent, as we don't want to exclude anyone. The Drasticals will gain one point via default due to winning Octerror. Almost every activity during the event will count on the scoreboard. Whichever side wins by the end of the event will receive some cool (heh) prizes. 1.) SpongeBob Jeopardy!: Jeopardy will return for Season 8 during the event on December 10th and 17th! 2.) SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: Wheel of Fortune will have three games during the event on December 9th, 16th and 23rd! 3.) Dunces & Dragons: Dunces & Dragons will have two games during the event on December 11th and 18th! One of the maps will be the Frozen Tundra from Frozen Face-Off! 4.) SpongeCraft Tournaments: We'll be using Arctic Spongecraftia again for winter SC games. Even if you don't want to play in the events, SpongeCraftia will become a winter wonderland with Christmas decorations! 5.) SBC Music Snowcember Parties: We'll be hosting Music parties every Friday during the event (December 9th, 16th and 23rd). We'd like people to play holiday themed music, and whoever has the most liked song by the end of the hour will receive prizes! 6.) Secret Santa Program 2016: It's back again! Buy gifts from our Store for other users anonymously. Make someone happy this holiday season! Note this won't be something you can "win" for the scoreboard, it's just a fun little activity where you can be nice to others. 7.) SBC Christmas Trivia Contest 2016: Our fifth annual Christmas trivia contest will also be happening, with new and old themes to it! Play in 10 rounds of Christmas trivia to win the grand prizes! 8.) Stop What You Are Doing: Just like last year, we'll be doing another winter SWYAD during the event! ...and that's not all yet! There is a lot more to expect I haven't even covered, but much like Christmas gifts, it's best to keep them a surprise. I hope this will be our coolest and biggest Snowcember Ball, ending the year with a bang!
