Today is the big day! Thousands of teachers are currently at Kentucky's capitol, Frankfort, to protest the government to bring back pension. Current KY teacher benefits: Teachers have to pay for their own supplies Teachers have to pay for their own training, degrees, and certifications Glorified teaching babysitters with crappy pay Not eligible for social security Summers off with no additional pay Decreased education funding Any retirement plans that did exist are gone with no backup plan Over 36 counties closed school today in Kentucky to allow their teachers to go protest, including my own county! Teachers deserve better than this.....

Due to the sheer amount of badges that we have now, @jjsthekid and I thought it would be for the best to limit how many badges you may have showing on your post. Instead of just assuming, I have given the ability to choose which badges you'd like to show! In the navigation, under "Forums," you should see a new link called "Badges." When you go there, you can click up to six badges and click the shiny green "Save!" button. This will immediately update which badges will show up. Stop What You Are Doing: Cartoon Characters Edition! For those who do not know what a SWYAD is, it's a special time where SBC members change their names and avatars to match a category. This time, the category is cartoon characters! e.g. MDPP => Bugs Bunny Any form of cartoon, such as anime, is accepted. To sign up, go here: https://www.thesbcommunity.com/swyad/ What will happen is Karen, our server, will now automatically change your name at the beginning and the end of the SWYAD so you do not have to worry about changing it back! I'm just glad nobody died this time. The motive is still undetermined, but the common opinion is that she shot up YouTube HQ because she was very angered by the new policies.

Earlier today, the Kentucky government snuck a pension bill onto the back of a SEWAGE BILL with only a few hours to vote and it got signed into law. What did the pension bill say, exactly? The defunding of pensions for teachers. What does this mean? The teachers here are completely without retirement and they're not eligible for social security. Millions of teachers in the state of Kentucky no longer have retirement. So.... stuff like this is happening: Yay it's Toronto all over again! Thank you Matt Bevin for messing everything up.

Too bad it died due to lack of interest. I'll have to check out ep 1 when it comes out!
