Old Man Jenkins Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 And with that, NXT is looking to be fucking UP this year with the most stacked roster they have yet 1
Aya♥ Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 So after thinking this over some tonight, I, and I've seen quite a bit of people agree, that that was probably the best wrestling show WWE has ever produced. It's a huge compliment, and One I'm willing to stick with. I truly believe that was the best of the best. Mania is going to take a miracle to beat what NXT did last night. Big props to everyone, every match on the card delivered and more. Everyone stepped up their games and brought it. Gargano and Ciampa and the Ladder Match in my book were 5 star matches. And the title matches were for sure all 4 stars and above, all excellent bookings, all the right people won, and it made sense. Wow, fantastic. Thank you Triple H. 2
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Brother Lawrence, I KNEW YOU'D COME Somebody get The Man some Denny's Holy shit dudes, another streak ends in NOLA Well hopefully Rusev sticks around so I can see that singles feud with Jinder that I've personally been waiting for for quite some time now that's a lil too much motorcycle for me to see American Badass returning, hopefully I'm wrong. Gotta admit that was a pretty entertaining mixed tag. Can't wait see more of Ronda when she's out there on her own. happy for the Bludgeons. Long overdue tag team title reign for those two. holy shit, there's gonna be a King of the Ring tournament with the UK wrestlers? And the Greatest Royal Rumble is gonna be aired AND Edge & Christian Show is back, fucking A. epic freakin troll by Elias. Looks like I was right earlier, the dead has risen again. He's looking to be in much better shape this time around. Well that was something. Honestly wasn't expecting that much of a squash, but respect to Cena for doing that for the Dead Man. This certainly doesn't seem like the last we'll see of him. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! Welcome back, D-Bry. It's been too long. Props to Shane too for taking that kind of punishment during a bout with diverticulitis. Much deserved win for Nia. Nice payoff. of course Styles vs Nakamura isn't the main event NO NAK DON'T WANT NONE! Damn good match between these two (at least I thought it was, judging from some of the reaction I'm reading online. Are they capable of better? Definitely, but this is WWE). SHINSUKE NOOO! DOES HE HAVE NOT HEART? DOES HE HAVE NO CONSCIENCE?! DO YA HAVE NO SOUL, YOU SON OF A BITCH?! Post Mania season just got hella more interesting. Certainly shakes shit up, something that Smackdown has been needing for a while. happy Bardi Gras everyone! THE MONSTER AMONG CHILDREN! NICHOLAS IS LEGAL! Not quite what I expected, but that's pretty damn cool of WWE to do that for a kid. Should really be something to see how they roll with this. 4 Mania main events in a row. Gotdamn, Roman. 3 F5s and still alive, ROMAN LOOKING STRONGER THAN EVER! I can hear the BORING chants! FOURTH F5 THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE NOW! FIVE F5S AND STILL ALIVE! MY GOD THIS MAKES JOE AND BRAUN LOOK LIKE CHUMPS! THE SAMOAN BLOODLINE IS LITERALLY POURING OUT! ONE SPEAR! TWO SPEARS! SIXTH F5 AND...Brock wins...WHAT?!?!? Well, that was certainly shocking. Awww shit, Roman's gonna retire now if that ending is anything to go off of. The buildup for this felt like it was for nothing now. I mean, I was already willing to accept Roman winning, but if Roman ain't gonna be the guy to take the belt off Brock even after all that, who else believably can at this point fingers crossed for Demon King Finn because he's an entirely different and better wrestler than regular Finn who wins all his matches. If the Demon King competed tonight, Finn would totally be IC Champ by default right now all in all, I liked the show as a whole. NXT definitely still wins the weekend tho. Good matches for the most part, most of the right people won, had some genuine surprises (for better or worse), leaves off with some interesting developments heading into the post-Mania season. 3
Aya♥ Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Good take on Mania. Thought the Mixed Tag Match was the best match on the show. Ronda killed, looked good, was well protected. The other three played their parts in the match perfectly. It was like a match that was meant to be, and I'm glad it was Ronda's first. Roman and Brock was interesting to say the least. I legit do not see anyone beating Brock, I don't even know if the Demon can beat him. I felt it was a lot slower than their previous Mania match, which imo was a far supeior match compared to this one, even pre-cash in. Roman's face covered in blood was a nice visual, but it did nothing for me after having seen him kick out of the most protected finisher in the past 2-3 years 5 times. I've also some gripe about AJ and Shinsuke's match, as I felt it was underwhelming. You made a good point OMJ about WWE not letting these guys let everything out. I agree a lot with that, and how this match was being booked, just killed it for me. It had me believed it was going to be better than their WK match. Shinsuke turning heel added so much to this feud that it isnt funny. Best part of the two main events. Big Dog Nicholas was another highlight. The other really good matches on the show were the IC and SD Women's title match. The triple threat was everything it needed to be. All three men worked hard, busted their asses, and the right Man won. Asuka and Charlotte lived up to everything I wanted it to be. I'm not mad at all that Charlotte was the one to end Asuka's streak. It's believable, unlike a few people I've seen online complain about it. Those two women killed it, and deserve the world. I'm curious as to where Asuka goes from here. I hope she doesn't flounder and lose steam from this, get wins back and challenge Nia eventually, or a rematch against Charlotte. Just for these 3 matches alone, I give this Mania a solid 6/10. Should have been better. 3

Old Man Jenkins Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Holy shit, WWE referring to TNA by name (in probably the best way possible). Truly the Raw After Mania. Glad to see Booby Lashley finally make the trip back home. Dude really came into his own in TNA and I can't wait to see him finally live up to all that potential now, 10 years later. 1
Aya♥ Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Just now, Old Man Jenkins said: Holy shit, WWE referring to TNA by name (in probably the best way possible). Truly the Raw After Mania. Old Man Jenkins Posted April 16, 2018 Posted April 16, 2018 So it's been shown that the winner of The Greatest Royal Rumble ever will officially get a trophy. I kinda wish there were more storyline ramifications like a main event title shot at Summerfest or something but a trophy's good too. 1
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 Holy fucking shit dat McIntyre return! While it'd be nice to see him get a proper singles run, joining his fellow scorned peer is pretty good too and actually makes a lot of sense. Hope they both get a strong push coming out of this. This is definitely the shot in the arm that Ziggler needs.
Aya♥ Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 EL IDOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 1
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 Nikki Cross ain't getting called up with the rest of Sanity? But gotdamn mang. Styles, Bryan, Nakamura, Joe and Almas all on the same roster. Hopefully now with The Bar on Smackdown, The Revival will be allowed to let loose on Raw as the top guys we know they can be.
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 I can't believe I'm this late in finding out about Bruno Sammartino's passing no words of mine can do justice to the huge contributions this man made to wrestling. Rest in power, Bruno. Legends never die. 1
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 That makes me so fucking happy. The more shine and exposure Penta gets, the better.

Old Man Jenkins Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 been personally waiting on this guy to make a proper debut for what's felt like years now. I'm always down to support a fellow Hawaiian, but idk bout this gimmick mah bois. Maybe he'll end up owning it and making it his own like Dream did with his. Then again, maybe not lol beats having a more stereotypical gimmick I suppose, but idk if John Morrison lite is the way to go.
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Hey, there's women actually attending. I feel like that should be a big deal since all the sheets were reporting that they would all be barred and shit. and I see braddah Reeves has a sign in the audience. He's got fans in Saudi already! so has Rusev officially surpassed Cena in power level since he put up a much better fight against Taker? Power scaling, mang, THE OG DAIVARI!!! The 'E actually being culturally relevant with their foreign heels for once. Poetic since OG Daivari once played the role of an Arab-American. ITS YOKOZUNA! BAH GAWD YOKOZUNA IS BACK FROM THE DEAD! Bryan vs Angle, the dream match of the century taking place right in the middle of this orgy! Elias picks Bryan's scraps! Gulak going for Bryan, another match I'd personally love to see! Scott Dawson going after Gulak now! You'd think they'd be on the same page but I guess not! BAH GAWD IT'S BRODUS CLAY! BRODUS CLAY IS BACK WITH THE COMPANY! i don't care who ends up winning, Titus wins it for me. BAD GAWD, SIMON FROM WHATCULTURE MAKING HIS PRO WRESTLING DEBUT AT THE GREATEST ROYAL RUMBLE! WHY? HERE'S WHY! damn. Bryan looking all sorts of fucked up. So did Bryan finally break Rey's rumble runtime record? I'm sure he has by now. Cold really trying to channel JR for a second there at the obligatory Shane defying life table spot. BRYAN ELIMINATED BY BIG ASS! Aya at least got that part right. Down to Ass and Strowman. Big Ass is about to get a rim job by these hands! BRAUN WINS! McMahon's out loving him this big, sweaty man now and he's giving Braun these prizes! Looking like a green and red Cruiserweight title, but a nice touch tho I guess. Wonder if he'll actually wear it around. pretty good show for what it was. Was expecting some major title changes, there weren't any so it kinda came off like a larger scale house show. Universal Title match in particular had a whack ass finish. The announcers couldn't even explain clearly the circumstances as to why Brock won. At least Roman losing makes his match with Joe at Backlash less predictable. The ladder match finish cracked me up. Finn looked awfully peeved and I can only hope that he turns heel from here. Was hoping for a show that had stronger storyline ramifications, but w'ever. I guess that's what Backlash is gonna be for. Hopefully AJ and Shinsuke will have a competitive match with an actual finish then. Some sort of gimmick match, I'd presume. 1
Old Man Jenkins Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 First it was Daivari, now it's The Great Hassan Too bad he couldn't make a surprise appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble but on the subject of Smackdown tho, if you told me ten years ago that Samoa Joe and AJ Styles would be so much as cutting promos on each other in WWE one day, I'd say you were as crazy as Super Eric Young. AJ better be wearing a goddamn cup this Sunday, please for the sake of not making him look like a dumbass.
