70s Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 PLOT: After Squidward's arch-rival Squilliam Fancyson's band is unable to perform at the prestigious Bubble Bowl, he gives the opportunity to Squidward. So Squidward, ready to prove himself, gets together a band, hoping to make a big impression at the Bubble Bowl, and not to be humiliated by... SpongeBob and Patrick A pretty good episode, though a little overrated. Discuss it here.
Blackout Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Overrated, but worth it. It's hilarious. "Is mayonnaise an instrument?" "The owner of the white Sedan, you left your lights on!" rofl. overall, 9.5/10, perfect, but overrated for the song and of course being a Season Two episode. :cat:
Rap Critic Posted March 3, 2010 Posted March 3, 2010 Great episode. It was awesome to see Squidward win for once.
Minty Car Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Overrated? Yes. Funny? Yes. Another favorite of mine? yes
Steel Sponge Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 Overrated, but deserves likeness, and it's pretty original. 7.7/10.
storytime7 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Overrated but I still love this episode and not just cause of Sweet Victory. 10/10
Karen Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Simply put, one of the best episodes in the whole series. It has the best ending, and is overall one of the funniest. 1
TJ Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I think it was the song, "Sweet Victory" that made this episode overrated. Grade:9/10
Rap Critic Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) Can everyone please stop blaming the song for why people like this episode? The song is not the only reason why this episode is good. Squidward finally wins, and it was funny as hell. Edited March 12, 2016 by jjsthekid

Squidward finally wins, and it was funny as hell. I thought the episode had lots of good humor. The song WAS the best part, but that's not the only reason I like this episode.

Rap Critic Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 I think Squidward winning was pretty cool, but I found the jokes to be pretty standard for Season 2.But Season 2 as a whole was funny as hell.
70s Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 But Season 2 as a whole was funny as hell.Exactly. It was great, but that's pretty standard for Season 2, which is why I find it overrated.
Rap Critic Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Exactly. It was great, but that's pretty standard for Season 2, which is why I find it overrated. You can find it overrated all you like, I'm just sick of people saying "WELL EVERYBODY ONLY LIKES TEH EPISODE 4 THE SONG SO ITS OVERATED".
TJ Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 You can find it overrated all you like, I'm just sick of people saying "WELL EVERYBODY ONLY LIKES TEH EPISODE 4 THE SONG SO ITS OVERATED". The evidence lies for itself. Go on youtube and check how many countless Spongebob vids have sweet victory incorporated into them.
Minty Car Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Band Geeks is awesome. I definitly think Sweet Victory is the best part of the episode, but I still find it great with the other parts of the episode.
Rap Critic Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 The evidence lies for itself. Go on youtube and check how many countless Spongebob vids have sweet victory incorporated into them.If you're talking about the various "replace Sweet Victory with another song" videos, then that means nothing. It's a big band scene, so of course it's going to be incorporated into these types of videos.
