crushingmayhem Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 A few of y'all really need to lighten up. It was just a silly prank. A harsh one to say the least, but I understand why they did it.
Elastic Dawg Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 This was pretty douchey and uncalled for, but I have better things to get worked up over. 1
PatBack Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I hate the SBC mods. I'mma spam, it's at least fun.
SpongeOddFan Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 A few of y'all really need to lighten up. It was just a silly prank. ^what she said. 1
Old Man Jenkins Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 I hate the SBC mods. I'mma spam, it's at least fun. You don't hate me, do you?
PatBack Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Nuggets, don't feel bad about it. Everyone still likes you (well, except me, but I've always hated everyone).
ClassicNickelodeon Fan 1 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Good thing I only played a minor role in this, I knew from the start people would get pissed over it. >___>
Young Nug Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 Hey. I've been thinking. And I think I get it now. This wasn't the greatest idea. "Yo activity's low so let's super troll to kick it up/cause we're bored!" In the beginning, it actually seemed like a good idea. But now I realize that it wasn't. I wasn't paying attention to how this would make anyone feel. This ruined Cha's vacation, it made PatBack leave, and it made most angry. And while a few of you blew it way out of proportion, a lot of you are right. What I did tonight was a gross misuse of power. Even worse, it's my fault because I could have stopped it at any time I wanted. I really didn't want any of this. I just wanted to kick things up because SBC's collective blood sugar was getting low. But I went about it the wrong way. Terminoob is right; we could have just made an announcement or asked for people to get on the xat. But I decided to do this because it seemed funny. But that was wrong. I've tried to go the whole time without saying the word "sorry". Because "sorry" doesn't fix anything. It's all just words. It means nothing. And yet, it's all I have to say. I'm sorry for staging a hack. I'm sorry for leading you guys on all night, and I'm sorry for breaking my own rules. I'm especially sorry that I was dumb enough to do this. I don't expect you guys to forgive me. Like I said, it's all just words. I don't think I'm fit to be forgiven. I don't even think I'm fit to be staff, much less, after this move. But I hope you guys can forgive me and Dylan, staff or not. But I just wanted to let you guys know how I felt. That's all. Good night. 7 1
Guest ssj4gogita4 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 In what way was this a misuse of power? Had we done this on April Fools Day, Friday the 13th, or around a holiday, nobody would've cared. However, doing it on April Fools Day blows the prank because it's too flipping obvious. What differentiates us doing something like this randomly, and us doing something like this near holidays? Nobody was banned; I created a different usergroup and called it "Banned." You'll notice those people could still post, even if they were "banned." SBC was never in danger, I simply hid the files. It was just an event for people to experience in the way we've experienced March Madness, Octerror Fest, and the various other events we hold. Not power abuse, but a planned event that definitely gave users something to do tonight. I think the problem with this is that everyone thought this was really happening and were literally frightened for SBC. Had you done this on a holiday, the end result would be that everyone was happy enough to let it go. Doubloons wouldn't of mattered to them because it was a harmless prank and they actually had fun with it. Doing it on a random day, everyone seems to be upset about it. Sure, it was fun for the staff that were involved but you also must think of the members in every situation. Doing it on a holiday is just more fun. Yeah, random days can be fun, too, but not something like this type of prank, imo. :\
ClassicNickelodeon Fan 1 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Nuggets, I forgive you very much. You're a great staff member. We all make mistakes in life, we aren't perfect. It's all in the past now, so let's just forget it, and return to our normal forum lives.
Metal Snake Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 Nuggets, don't feel bad about it. Everyone still likes you (well, except me, but I've always hated everyone). Enjoy the company of the many friends you are about to gain from that clever, clever little comment. 4

Cha Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 All is forgiven as long as these silly hacking pranks don't happen again without a warning.

And we've done pranks before, even stupid ones that lowered activity, so... sbc was hacked and taken over by a group called "s". The forums were deleted and everyone was panicking. However it was only Dylan, nuggets, and cnf doing it. No one was happy.
