Popular Post Rap Critic Posted January 11, 2013 Popular Post Posted January 11, 2013 Do not double post, or triple post, or anything above that. That is all. EDIT: That is not all. This is the sort of post that happens when your fingers move faster than your brain, and I'm appalled at myself for not fixing this sooner. Multi-posting is permitted under certain circumstances. These circumstances are as follows: 1. You are posting episodes of a spin-off or literature. 2. You are updating a personal, blog-like thread (e.g. Sharing Time, a music-sharing thread) 3. You are posting countdowns (within reason, if you can fit multiple spots into one post, we would prefer you do so). Any other time, multi-posting is against the rules. Please use the Edit button for all other circumstances. Fortunately, I haven't been seeing much multi-posting outside of the guidelines, but just in case, remember: The Edit Button is your best friend. Thank you. 21
Macseed Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 YES (There are a couple exceptions, read the rules for more info) 2
SpongeOddFan Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 just read the the rules BEFORE you post you could edit your post, just saying 2

JCM Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Or quadruple post or quintuple post or post at all if you have nothing to add to the discussion. 1
crushingmayhem Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 True that Wumbo. Some users have to learn that is wrong, it sometimes appear like they're spamming but glad that you guys are handling it. 1
SG19 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Double posting should only be applied to bump threads. That is all. 1
crushingmayhem Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Not only is spamming unethical, it floods the forum. 1
Rap Critic Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 Double posting should only be applied to bump threads. That is all. Well, this isn't the whole truth. Like Max said, check the rules for exceptions. But if in doubt, just don't do it. 1
Macseed Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 If somebody double posts, the posts can merge. But think of all the merges they'd have to make. They'd have to dig in multiple topics. 1
Guest Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 But think of all the merges they'd have to make. They'd have to dig in multiple topics. I mean the automatic merge.
Guest Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Automatic? Some forums do have automatic merges.
ClassicNickelodeon Fan 1 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 We don't have that here. We could install it here though since SBM has it. 1
Macseed Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Some forums do have automatic merges. But as we've said, there are exceptions, so I don't think it's needed. 1
