I mean, post-movie and post-second-movie, I can admit that the humor was feeling less and less dynamic, but the two character never really bothered me. Dil isn't the most interesting character on Rugrats because he doesn't talk at all, but at the very least I could say he does have reasons to exist. Also, I'm willing to bet that some of the detractors for Dil were some of the same people who thought "Oh my god! The Rugrats Movie was darker than you thought it wasn't! Tommy tried to kill his brother by attempting to pour mashed bananas all over him!" ....And after all's said and done, I'm also willing to admit that Dil is one of the best characters from the spin-off series: All Grown Up!. There's a couple Simpsons episode names that are references to things that have been used several times. One off the top of my head is The Man Who Knew Too Much (The Boy Who Knew Too Much, The Dad Who Knew Too Little, etc) but even then it doesn't bug me all that much. It'll be a big shame if the reboot retcons her out. Dil, on the other hand, was kinda annoying. Also useless, considering he couldn't talk or walk.
