What is your reaction? I personally think it's a bit scary, how reliable we've become to the internet. It';s also a bit sad, as I'll lose SBC and SBM, Why would they want to get rid of internet, I bet you they use their smartphones all the time to get info. :/

Thanks to BP11 for the info on SBM

I don't buy it. It seems like every year, something else is threatening to kill off the internet. I highly doubt this will happen.

It's just the internet version of 2012, on 2012.

2012ception.

BP11? You got this information through the British Petroleum company? With all seriousness, this is pretty much like one person with Powerpuff Girls Z and that it's very much unreal.

if this does go through, I can't imagine the anarchy that would erupt. Like said, nobody owns the internet. Neither does the government. It's only a short transition from free speech to communism.

The Internet is like it's own country with its own culture (memes is something the Internet has contributed to the world lol)... you simply can't kill it off because it's an intricate network that's owned by MILLIONS of people. In order to take down the internet, you'd have to kill every laptop, tablet, and phone in the world, take down every single cell tower in the world, crash every server, cause companies like Google and Apple to collapse, and THEN move it behind closed doors in order to ever make the Internet cease to exist. lol

WHAT IS SOPA????

Are you serious?

a failed bill that the government put up to make copyright a jail-able offense or whatever. it would close down file sharing sites (which is exactly what happened in the case of Megaupload...)
