Spin-offs. Spin-offs aren't just forms of fanfiction, there's some stuff around their parts that make it really important. Creativity...and short-term activity. You know what I'm thinking. Spin-Offs are and never dying art. As our awareness and acknowledgement will progress, do society a favor: read. It's a freakin' excellent idea! What would make things better that way is when you vote in the Spin-Off categories for the Golden Community Awards! Vote, read, and save a life for SBC's original agriculture. Now for Steel's Q&A : Q: How's it going for your spin-offs lately? A: Really great, it's hard to juggle in-between a lot of projects, even with Lits, but hey, it's the summer! The drought shall not rise anymore! Q: How about dat Pisces Moon? A: I'm currently in writer's block. Figures. I haven't lost any substance, especially with the TV Movie. If my loafing is holding things up, the TV Movie would end up rescheduled. Q: OF COURSE, HOW VERY PREDICTABLE OF YOU! Back on-topic, what's going around with your new Spin-Off project? But seriously, I ought to stick with giving every Spin-Off category nominations than just a blank fill-in. That way, anybody would be able to vote for the other Spin-Off categories. Q: Hey, tvguy! A: Hi. Q: So, you've recently re-entered the spin off game after a long hiatus. How does that feel? A: Weird. It feels weird to not be writing Down Under; I mean, I wrote on that show week after week after week for an entire season of 20 episodes, and that's not taking into account deleted episodes, rewriting, editing, deleted scenes... Q: Speaking of Down Under, why was it cancelled? It still is the second most viewed spin off on SBC. A: The plot, really. I never planned anything. Actually, towards the end of Season 1, I started to resolve some things, and the movie was intended to tie up loose ends, but that never happened. I still may eventually release the movie. Q: You were one of the big guys in terms of spin offs in 2010-2011, but after this hiatus, where do you see the spin off industry, which has obviously been affected by the dip in activity? A: Well, with activity healing, I think as SBC is going into a new era, so will spin offs. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be at the forefront as I was in 2010. In 2010, it was myself and 70s really leading the pack. That's no longer the case. Q: Who is at the forefront, as you say, now? A: I'd say Clapmaster and OMJ. Q: Why? A: Skodwarde was already a huge hit, and with Wumbo and Clappy now writing for it, I think it can single-handedly turn spin offs around. Not to mention OMJ's new spin off, The Killer Krab, which has become a runaway hit. I haven't seen something get that many views since Bikini Top and Down Under. Q: Where do you see yourself fitting into this new era? A: I don't. I think at this point, comedy spin offs are becoming the new thing, except they're being done correctly in that they actually make you laugh out loud. Before, you'd see things that made you smile in a spin off, but rarely did a spin off that was intended to make you laugh, make you laugh. I think the thrilling/mystery genre that 70s and I pioneered will still be relevant, but not as relevant. There've become so many spin offs in that category that it's difficult to gain a readership. The Killer Krab, for example, does this beautifully in that it sort of combines the two in a weird way that obviously works. Q: Your current spin offs, Superheroes, Korporate Krabs, and Toxic are your new lineup, correct? A: Yes, and I'd say I'm happy with all three of them, but particularly Toxic. I feel like it's Down Under reborn. Q: 'The Trident Supremacy', the pilot episode of which received nearly 50 views, is nominated for a Spinny, yet it was cancelled; why? A: Because it wasn't Spongey enough. I wanted something that was Spongey if I was going into the IJLSA sub-category, and The Trident Supremacy felt like a lit rather than a spin off. Q: Superheroes matched the readership of Trident Supremacy, but has considerably dropped off since that first episode; anything to say on that? A: The first episode flopped, and the second episode was more of the same thing. However, I feel the third episode really explored further into the characters and into the plotline. Q: What about Korporate Krabs? Is your attempt at trying to combat Skodwarde? A: No, I suck at comedy spin offs. Q: Thank you. A: Thank you.
