WhoBibbles Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Adventure Time is definetly a great show. It has a great humor, great characters, interesting plot and emotional scenes. The best thing about this show is the backstories and character delelopment. This show has the strongest continuity, I've ever seen (Thanks to season 4 and 5) since Doctor Who. There's a lot things that I want to know in this show so much; more about characters' past lives, the Mushroom War (especially that one), Finn's dad and mother and Lich. Also all seasons of this show are pretty good, even season 5 (I was a bit unfair to season 5 before) and so far season 6 is amazing. The lastest episode, The Tower, is one of the best episodes I've ever seen in this show.
SpongeOddFan Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 Whoa, sorry for the bump but... ^AT just renewal for season 9 thoughts?
CyanideFishbone Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Jesus christ, how many seasons is this show gonna run for?
Young Nug Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 While I haven't seen much of Seasons 6 and 7, from what I've heard, the creative juices are still flowing pretty heavily so I can't say I'm mad at this. At the same time though, I wonder if by the time Season 9 rolls around if I'll still feel the same way. Regardless, good to see Kent Osbourne is still there.
Hayden Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 Hope Season 10 comes after that. Unlike Spongebob, it isn't struggling for episode ideas because it builds off past concepts one after the other.
WhoBibbles Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I have to say this, season 5 and 6 are really flawed seasons for me but season 7 has been really good and for most part, the show is back to it's roots but honestly season 9 is a bit too much. I'd like to see this show getting wrapped up in season 8 honestly because I still feel like they are dragging some mysteries and I'd love to learn more from the show. I just want this to end before my enjoyment from the show fades away again :/
Slippin' Freddy Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 I really need to catch up more on this show. I used to watch it religiously back in 2011 and 2012 along with Regular Show and Gumball, but since 2013 around when Season 5 was airing, I sorta lost interest in watching it. The only episode I watched that I haven't seen was Sad Face, but that was when I couldn't find anything good to watch. That episode was pretty meh, but I'll try to do a marathon of Season 5 through present episodes to see if I still like it.

WhoBibbles Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 I'll miss this show but it's about time tbh. Thankfully season 7 brought back some enjoyment of the show and now we have two more seasons and a movie to wrap up stories and give this show a proper ending before it gets sour. With Gumball, RS and now this show ending; I'm so pleased to hear CN is letting it's shows rest in peace unlike FOX and Nickelodeon. RIP Adventure Time 2010-2018 You had rough times but I'll always remember you as a good show.
NegiSpongie Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Well, I'll always have Steven Universe. That and Adventure Time are the only shows I watch on CN

Young Nug Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 I still have my agenda from 6th Grade where I wrote down my homework and things I had to do that night. It falls from the top of my closet sometimes, and when I flip through it, "Watch Adventure Time" is scrawled on the page, every Monday following April 5th, in the shittiest handwriting you can imagine. I remember hyping the shit out of Adventure Time to all of my friends in Middle School, even though that was the year (where I lived, anyway) that cartoons started to become uncool. I remember laughing incredibly hard at some Season 1 episodes when they first came on, particularly Ocean of Fear and Dungeon, as I took Karate lessons that summer. I remember that fall when Rebecca Sugar's episodes involving emotions and music taught me a lot about love and gesture, and really instilled in me a desire to write, draw, animate, to understand emotion and understand music theory. I remember distinctly getting chills all the time, whether it was watching Finn and Jake use their father's sword to complete his dungeon while Jake was beat boxing, or just Finn beating the Lich with a love sweater. I definitely remember the show getting weirder and deeper, going Simpsons and focusing on very little of our main characters, doing things like that. The bigger plot stuff always roped me in when I was younger, moreso than the individual episodes. Always tuned in if an episode was about the inter-dimensional conflict between the Lich, or Finn's dad, or Ice King's increased psychosis, or the Mushroom war, or... Lemongrab. But as I got older and started to get different, Adventure Time did too, and started focusing on Finn and his journey through adolescence, dealing with things like the loss of love, abandonment, the feeling of emptiness and discovery of hope, and the journey from carefree adventures into a world much darker but perhaps more enjoyable than anything you would've imagined at the start, and after a while, I realized that this was a journey that I had unknowingly been taking alongside with him for the past half-decade. This show ending is going to be hard for me. (this the closest you'll ever get to a sharing time post from me tho) 4
NegiSpongie Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Since it won't be ending till 2018, at least it'll have plenty of time to give a satisfying conclusion.
WhoBibbles Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 (edited) http://www.avclub.com/article/adventure-time-solve-some-mysteries-backstory-heav-247349 now that Adventure Time is ending in 2 years, the crew does have to wrap up stuff about the Land of Ooo and we'll get that from the new miniseries that is coming in January 30 called Adventure Time: Islands, this was set up in season 7 two parter finale btw. It's gonna explore more about why humans disappeared so many years ago and give us more detail on Finn's backstory too. Honestly I have been waiting this to happen for years, same as other fans of the show. Finally we are getting more detail soon and honestly I can't wait. I was so impressed with what they did in Stakes. This new miniseries sound even cooler. I'm so excited. Edited December 13, 2016 by Santa Klaus 2

NegiSpongie Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I loved the Islands miniseries. I thought it was really great way to end Susan's arc. I never used to be too fond of her, but learning about her past and seeing her develop in the miniseries made me appreciate her. I was also surprised to see Martin get a backstory and I loved seeing Finn interact with his mother, I thought it was really touching. I'm curious as to how they will end the main series now.
