Elastic Dawg Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Discuss Kevin Smith's films here. Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, etc... I personally love them. My favorite is Clerks. Plus, me and him were born in the same month. (week, too) So yeah, discuss.
ExKizuna Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 I've officially seen all of them! Yay! Now I just need to get the 2 Clerks movies on DVD
Elastic Dawg Posted August 17, 2011 Author Posted August 17, 2011 I've already given my opinion of them, or at least the professional opinion. I saw. wat. Just because a critic doesn't like it doesn't mean you have to. For example, I like Roger Ebert. Roger Ebert hates the Beyond. The Beyond is one of my favorite movies of all time. That doesn't mean I would dislike it just because Mr. Ebert does.
ExKizuna Posted August 17, 2011 Posted August 17, 2011 If the most reputable critic in the world doesn't like them, I doubt I'll like them, but I'll try to check one of these out before forming a solid opinion. It's debatable if Ebert is the god of judging movies as a critic, so just check 'em out, or atleast one of them. I suggest Chasing Amy, one of the more light-hearted ones.
Elastic Dawg Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 I know Ebert liked Clerks and i'm pretty sure he liked Chasing Amy, but i'm not sure about the others. Except for Mallrats. He hated that one.
ExKizuna Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Okay, screw Roger Ebert. Anyway, Clerks II is very offensive. I suggest checking it out.
Elastic Dawg Posted August 21, 2011 Author Posted August 21, 2011 Finally watched Clerks II. It was awesome.
JCM Posted September 4, 2011 Posted September 4, 2011 Finally finished Clerks I. It was hilarious at some parts, terribly stale at others. But whatever. It's a lot better than most comedies I've seen.
Elastic Dawg Posted October 2, 2011 Author Posted October 2, 2011 Watched the tv version of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Pretty lulzy. Gonna check out Chasing Amy soon.
