so what's wrong with that? i mean if you're a kid or teenager, that's part of enjoying life. you don't have to worry about managing and maintaining a life and using money to pay for bills, rent, mortgage, car, food, clothes, kids, etc because you already live in your parent's house for free and they provide you with everything you need.

that's one of the reasons why they give you rules to follow like curfew, dating, etc. but one of the rules that they can't give you or control authority over is how to spend your own money. they may give their opinion on whether they think what you're spending it on is a good idea or not, but the final decision is really up to you.

so when you get money from whatever source, whether it be from a job, an allowance, or birthday or christmas money, you can spend however much you want on whatever and as much stuff as you damn please. i mean at that age, money is all about entertainment and luxuries, not necessities.
