sbl Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Requested by @King Zaid, here come my top 10 favourite* gadgets—late! *SUBJECT TO CHANGE.PROBABLY IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. 10. Spoiler A microwave. Sometimes a microwave is really good at what it does all the time, and sometimes it's absolutely piss-poor. But sometimes a liiittle bit of poor reheating turns your meal or whatever you're microwaving into something a liiittle better. 9. Spoiler A computer. Or, maybe more specifically, Any random 2009-2015 laptop/desktop running Windows with enough power. Computers like these are where I got my introduction to technology from a really young age. Tinkering around and breaking things and trying to fix them to varying success will turn you into an interesting person. 8. Spoiler The Oculus (Meta) Quest 2. Right before the onslaught of better headsets, and before AR became more popular that VR, but not too bad for things like Beat Saber (FUN!) and watching videos. AND mine still says Oculus on it! 7. Spoiler The iPod touch (5th generation). Probably the first device I owned that made me feel a little more independent. And it was basically a phone without the phone part. Surprised I didn't go iPhone after having one of these...perhaps I will in the future! 6. Spoiler A smartwatch. Fun to track fitness and other metrics and try to stay healthy. Also, it's a watch, but it's more functional! 5. Spoiler An electric toothbrush. Better than a regular toothbrush. Like, seriously. Up your dental game! 4. Spoiler The base M1 Pro MacBook Pro. I had a MacBook Pro before this one, but man. Apple silicon is such a good invention, and I've been able to be more creative and innovative on a good laptop like this. Pretty futureproof...but mayyyybe I upgrade when the M6 Pro comes out! 3. Spoiler My smartphone. Don't know if I can live without one at this point. All of this info at your fingertips (AND at the sound of your voice)...don't know if I can go dumbphone! 2. Spoiler The PlayStation 2. Specifically...because of Battle for Bikini Bottom!!! 1. Spoiler Really good wireless earbuds or headphones, with noise cancellation and transparency modes. The freedom to soundtrack your environment without wires is powerful and necessary in a busy world. 1
