50. Thanks But No Thanksgiving

Plot: Patrick's family celebrates Thanksgiving with his mother's side of the family.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like the show introduction for this episode played a little bit slower than it has for the other episodes that have aired so far. In any case, we finally get to learn a little bit more about Bunny's side of the family. For instance, her mother is named Agnes; and Bunny also has a squid sister named Miranda! And while Miranda fancies herself as the far MORE successful sibling; she DOES use magic to make herself APPEAR to be more successful than she ACTUALLY is! And Miranda ALSO has kids of her own, a dimwit squid counterpart to Patrick, and a smart sea star counterpart to Squidina! Poor Cecil, all he WANTS to do is to impress his step-mother, but Agnes just won't LET him! Meanwhile, Agnes decides to send GrandPat on a WILD turkey hunt just to get HIM out of HER house; while Bunny and Miranda get into a little sibling rivalry! Meanwhile, Miranda's kids CONVINCE Patrick and Squidina that it's also TAKESGIVING, where you take stuff from OTHER people's houses! Naturally, Squidina finds this suspicious, while Patrick just wants to do something interesting! Eventually, Agnes gets SO fed up with Cecil TRYING to be useful; that she BLATANTLY BREAKS her promise to Bunny to be NICE to Cecil, and she turns him into a SEA Turkey, and GrandPat tries to hunt him down! Needless to say, Squidina looks WORRIED when two Klopnodian cops bust into Agnes' house...only for them to reveal that TAKESGIVING actually IS real in Klopnodia, and they TAKE Agnes' latest EX-HUSBAND who has been turned into a couch, in order to prove it! Meanwhile, Agnes THINKS that Thanksgiving is ruined, when all SHE has to show for her efforts is a COOKED Sea Turkey Cecil...causing poor Squidina to faint! But wanting one last chance to prove himself, Cecil tears off one of his OWN Sea Turkey legs to give to Agnes to try, causing Squidina to faint yet AGAIN!!!! While Agnes DOES find it dry, she DOES admit that it's not bad; meaning that Cecil FINALLY got the compliment that he had been WANTING for so long! And as for all the side dishes, it turns out that Patrick's HUGE appetite came in handy, as in a "Brick Joke", all the food that Patrick packed WITH him, ended up being all the (somehow fancy) Thanksgiving meal that the family all got to eat! I'd give this episode a 9.4 out of 10. (It lost points due to Agnes actually taking a bite out of Cecil's sea turkey leg, and NOT turning him back to normal). Enough said, true believers!
