Song Writing Contest

Here's a contest for Anthemic Anniversary to flex your song writing abilities. There are no specific guidelines for how your song needs to be written, as long as it sounds like one. It does not need to be a full song and can be a small snippet. It can also not be an already existing song or the submission will be tossed out. Otherwise, go wild, as long as it doesn't sound like Squidward's clarinet.

A panel of staff members will choose the best song, who will receive 1,000 doubloons, DJ Sponge badge (if not already obtained), Pineapple Guitar collectable (if not already obtained) and 200 experience points. You have until August 31st to submit your song in this thread.

Here's one that I LITERALLY thought up of just now! /

"A Quick One to Pass the Time" / "I don't always have time to do what I want to, and sometimes; I even feel blue. All I know is that I feel better when I spend time with you. Even with all the time in the day, so much of it just passes away. Sometimes I wish the time just wouldn't go away, but then I wouldn't get to spend more time with you. I know it's not a lot, and I wish that it was more; but I just really want to say I love you, and hear you say it to. It's just a quick one to pass the time, I wish I didn't always have to sing in rhyme; but I know I'll always feel in my prime when I spend my time with you. There are so many places we can go to, there are so many things to do; but first, I will say I love you; and you know that it will be true. It's just a quick message to send, I wish it wasn't already near the end; but when we get to have more time together, I know we will always be with each other forever." /

(Note any relation to any pre-existing song that I don't know about is purely co-incidental and should not be inferred). I hope you enjoyed listening to that song as much as I did writing it! Enough said, true believers!
