4EverGreen Posted February 23 Posted February 23 I finally saw the first "Austin Powers" movie for the first time! While it's definitely the cheapest of the trilogy, it still manages to be quirky and funny in its own right! I also saw "Migration" on Netflix for the first time; it's a pretty great animated movie! Enough said, true believers!
Aphrodite Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Wicked: Part I. I think I have a new favorite movie. 1
4EverGreen Posted March 2 Posted March 2 In movie theaters, "Love Hurts", and "Becoming Led Zeppelin". Both were a lot better than I thought they would be.
4EverGreen Posted March 30 Posted March 30 The live-action "Snow White" Movie Remake...YES!!!! A GREAT live-action Movie Remake, that FINALLY justifies Snow White's love (who is NOT a Prince this time), and gives her a BETTER, more realistic personality...among other things! It gets a 10/10! Now, if the "Lilo And Stitch" live-action remake can PLEASE be as good as the "Snow White" one...that would be great! Enough said, true believers!
Old Man Jenkins Posted March 30 Posted March 30 (edited) The Woman in the Yard: A surprisingly heavy, loaded lil horror movie I think I’m in the camp that likes this movie and respects/appreciates what it was trying to do with its themes. At the same time, I feel maybe I shouldn’t’ve watched it because of what it tries to tackle. Death of a Unicorn: Funny A24 joint. Predictable asf but I appreciate the violence and gore thrown in. Will Poulter did some heavy carrying for this imho. EDIT: had to delete a repeat post that strangely posted hours later, probably because of something to do with my tabs Edited March 30 by Old Man Jenkins
4EverGreen Posted April 3 Posted April 3 On TV, "Happy Halloween, Scooby-Doo!" for the very first time! And "Lego Disney Princess: The Castle Quest" for the very first time! Both were very good in their own rights!
4EverGreen Posted April 9 Posted April 9 On TV, for the very first time; the original 1933 "King Kong" Movie. While the story and the special effects for that film are really great (especially by 1933 film-making standards), the depictions of ANY character who isn't white; hasn't aged well at ALL!
