Deli Posted January 10, 2011 Author Share Posted January 10, 2011 hm, ok, here's a topic I relate to quite a lot. I'm straight, but I don't ship that many hetero couples, you see. I know its weird, but I'm a sucker for slash, and not every kind of slash, just mainly SpongeBob and..(I know this one may be VERY weird for most) but Beatles slash is one of my favorite...pastimes *u* Now, I can't really tell you WHY I'm too fond of taking the men I admire the most and think they're gay for each other O_o. But it did start when I started to have an "internet life" and found out that there are people that like pretty much any thing you can think of. I completely agree with you when you say that slash fanart and fanfics tend to be too sexual. That's why I try not to make my slash drawings too sexual because I do not draw porn to begin with, but from the many slash fanfics I've read, I can tell you that the "lime" makes its appearance in many of the ones I like =/ But, not to go that much off-topic, those kids are crazy calling people homophobes for liking a het couple. WTF. I acknowledge I am the founder of the first SpongeBob Slash group in DA, but we never bash on Spandy or any other het pairings. They wanted to affiliate with my group but I didn't accept it, since I do like Spandy, so @_@ Yeah, I encountered a lot of extremely weird shippings when I started to get an internet life, but I grew to love them somehow. But I didn't know you founded the first SpongeBob slash group, I knew you were a founder, but I didn't know you were the main founder. Yeah, now there's another SpongeBob Slash group (in which I'm a Contributor) founded by General-Kel that has become more popular than mine mainly because she has spent a lot of time inviting people, task that I have no time or dont feel the need to do. I've noticed that that group is more strict to slash, they affiliated with Anti-Spandy too, so that should tell you something. I'm also co-founder of a Spandy group so I would be contradicting myself to be part of that group. I thought of commenting on his journal but I dont have the energy to put up with someone that is SO wrong, but good to see that some people are putting him in his place. I don't mean to intrude, but I'm a member of DA, and I know the creator of the anti-spandy group, she's a really nice person, she just hates homophobes. The main reason she made it was that the SB slash group created by General-Kel was getting so many flames by people who thought it was sick, or they didn't understand why there would be SB slash. It was getting out of hand, she and some other members got really ticked because a lot of people wouldn't keep their opinions to themselves. Point reached; she made the group as revenge to those people. She specifically said in a journal she posted that it was not against all Spandy fans, just the homophobes. I do agree somewhat, she did go a bit too far, because she's offending more people than she intended to, but she didn't mean to. I'm not telling you that you should like her, I'm just trying to convince you that she isn't bad, there's a lot of people hating on her. She said that she likes everyone, and respects their opinions as long as they aren't haters. I personally do not like Spandy, but I didn't join the group, I don't like it either. It's just sending the wrong message, and I have a lot of friends that really like Spandy Once again, sorry for intruding, I'm just trying to defend her, I hope you understand a little. It's just that ''insaneforinvaderzim'' or whatever was acting like a total douchebag to some friends who asked her about the group. That made me angry.
