(Credit to Patty for the logo) This will be the first March Madness and team event in general with our brand new teams, the Krusty Krew and the Chum Buddies! And if you do not want to be on either team, then the Solos as well. (Note that while Solos will have their own scoreboard slot, they still are not technically a team, and are only being grouped together for space.) If you want to be on the new teams, be sure to sign up here, you have until Friday night at 6pm EST. Krabs and Plankton will then draft their first recruits, ready to go for this event. If you want to be on a team but miss the initial draft, you can still sign up for the event, so don't worry if you miss it. March Madness 2020 will begin March 1st, 2020 and conclude March 31st, 2020. Every day will have a game to do. This will be our most interesting one yet due to the brand new teams. Watch as the Krusty Krew, Chum Buddies, and Solos face off in an intense month. Whichever team is victorious at the end of the month will receive 1,000 doubloons, 30 exp points, and a team trade. Here is a run-down of every single game that will be at this year’s so you can plan accordingly: SpongeBob Pictionary: The last four Season 1 games will be every Saturday in March, leading into an exciting season finale! This will be the first March Madness Pictionary is a part of. SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: Every WOF game on Friday will be a part of the event! Dunces & Dragons: Five D&D games every Sunday will be a part of the event. The first game on the opening night of MM2020 will also be its 100th game! Wiki Write-Offs: Every Monday during the event, compete to see who is the best wiki editor! Cards Against Humanity: CAH will now be at a new day and time during this event, occurring every Friday night after WOF! The Fry Cook Games IX: It returns for the 9th edition! See who rises to the top this year! Weekly Quizzes: Compete against other team members in a quiz every Thursday night! Flash Game Tournaments: They’re back for March Madness! Compete against others in JCM’s flash game archive every Thursday night after the Weekly Quiz! Weekly Surprises: Play in a unique, special game every Tuesday night! Shell Shockers: For the first time ever, Shell Shockers will be a weekly event! Get ready for some high stakes egg action every Saturday night after Pictionary! Whodunnit?: Solve this year’s Whodunnit mystery together as a team! Basketball Hunt: Hunt for basketballs together as a team! Basketball Dunking: This mini game returns from last year. Try to score as many basketball dunks as you can throughout the month, and stack those points up for your team. Whichever team has the overall highest score wins! As I explained in the Teams 4 announcement thread, this will also be the first event where you obtain experience points (Whacky Bucks for Krusty Krew, Root Beer for Chum Buddies, and just “Exp Points” for Solos) for playing in games. The more you win events, the more points you will receive and you may level up. Each game will give out differing exp points. For winning Pictionary, WOF, and D&D, you will get 30 experience points. Second place will receive 25 exp points, third place gets 20, and fourth 15. Every other game during the event will give 20 exp points to the respective winners. Even if you do not come in the top 4 in an event, you will still get 5 exp points for trying, so everyone will get their share of points. Here is how “leveling up” will work from here on out, it will increase by 50 exp points needed to advance per level: Level 1: 50 points Level 2: 100 points Level 3: 150 points Level 4: 200 points And so on. Everyone is set to level 0 by default when the event starts. There will be threads in the team clubs and leaderboards on the Discord team channels to keep track of which level every member is at. On the graphical end, there will also be brand new skins and iFish items for the teams during the event to show your team spirit. We hope this will be a fun event.
