Clappy
Restraining SpongeBob has a great premise but is just squandered potential, which is the most disappointing aspect of all to me. Hasn’t made my list any of the times since this tradition has started because it doesn’t outright bother me, but I can see why other people would place it on theirs. Best Day Ever on the other hand, should not be here. The most I’ve ever seen people complain about it is because of it not living up to the hype Nickelodeon gave towards it. Seriously throw that nostalgic disappointment out the window because this is a decently executed episode that has one of the most mind numbingly happy songs this series will ever have. Also it’s 2018 and it is ridiculous to hate something this innocent and ridiculous for over ten years.
RD Rockruff
Restraining SpongeBob is one of those episodes that isn't one of my favourites but at the same time I can't exactly tell what's up with it. It's a rather frustrating episode that has little purpose. Best Day Ever... I don't think it deserves to be on the list. Sure, it was overhyped but bottom 50 of the whole series? Not even close. It was definitely a bit boring but was it really that bad? Nah, there's far worse out there.
Wumbo
Best Day Ever ain't an episode worth hating, but it's not really worth defending either. C'mon guys, save your pitchforks for when Pranks a Lot gets on the list again
4EverFreeGuy
If it's any consolation to any people out there; now that I have seen the episode segment "Ink Lemonade", I'd replace "Best Day Ever", so "Ink Lemonade" would be on the list instead. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

Ash Ketchum
For "Restraining SpongeBob", I completely forgot of its existence until today. And then I remembered how braindead annoying Patrick was being in this episode, which is something I never liked the new episodes to do. I would've liked the premise better or give it a tentative pass had it not been for Patrick's behavior in this episode. News flash: Stupidity doesn't automatically equal funny. He may have been that way in other episodes but it's this episode that ups that trait to 11, and not in a good way. As for "Best Day Ever", I agree with the others saying that it doesn't really deserve a spot on here. Especially if it's one spot below freaking "Restraining SpongeBob". If anything, it's more of a disappointing episode but not really a bad disappointment either. Really, this episode and "Karate Island" are both episodes I just don't get the hate for.
President Squidward
I can't wait for ya'll to see my controversial choices. Restraining SpongeBob is eh, but Best Day Ever is not even a bad episode. That shit's harmless.
BeachBob95
Best Day Ever was on my list as well. In my country there was no hype for it. I just think the story is really lame and uninspired. Also it wasn't very funny. It's not the worst, since it is only on the edge of my list. Restraining SpongeBob was just meh for me. Not that bad, but kinda boring and annoying.

Popular Post Jinjo
Enjoying the discussion so far, everyone. Now then, here's our next two episodes on the list: 48. Plankton's Regular 53 points. 4 out of 25 lists. Highest Ranking: #5 - @Clappy Summary: Spoiler Plankton is once again complaining about how he has no customers, with Karen being annoyed by the constant whining. Nat Peterson instantly comes in and asks for a chumstick. Plankton at first thinks he is kidding, then Nat says he was serious, then Plankton gives Nat the chumstick. After Nat eats the chumstick, he says it is so good, he would come back the next day. Plankton is overjoyed at the fact and brags to Karen, who is barely shaken by the fact (A possible clue that Karen is actually paying Nat). Plankton decides to wait with a chumstick for Nat. Eight hours later, Plankton wakes up by the clock and realizes it's closing time and concludes that it was not true that Nat was coming back. However, at that moment, Nat appears. Plankton gives him the chum he had been saving, which Nat thinks is perfect after he looks like it was a very appalling meal. Nat says he will come back the next day and the next week, telling Plankton he has a regular customer on his hands. At the Krusty Krab, Mr. Krabs is bowling, using his money as the bowling balls and pins. Plankton appears, and Mr. Krabs tries to squish him with a spoon. Plankton assures Mr. Krabs that he doesn't need to compete with the Krusty Krab anymore since he now has a regular customer. Mr. Krabs laughs at him and shows off all his customers eating Krabby Patties. Then Nat appears asking Plankton for another Chum Stick in front of Mr. Krabs. Nat carries Plankton back to the Chum Bucket, with Plankton mocking Mr. Krabs and insulting him. Mr. Krabs explains the situation to SpongeBob and orders him to get Nat to eat food from the Krusty Krab and not at the Chum Bucket. Every attempt is unsuccessful, first when SpongeBob simply shows Nat a Krabby Patty, which Nat immediately doesn't like just by smelling it, secondly, SpongeBob fakes a trip off of a rock holding Nat and pretending the Krabby Patty is coming straight for his mouth, thirdly, SpongeBob transforms into Karen and pretends to give Nat a chum stick which is a Krabby Patty, he ties up and gags Karen so they won't notice him, fourthly, Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob trick Nat into going into a shortcut leading to the Chum Bucket which really leads to the Krusty Krab, they make chum Nat doesn't like. Mr. Krabs bursts into tears, saying that he cannot afford Plankton to have even just one customer. SpongeBob says that if he wants Nat to eat at the Krusty Krab, he will have to make chum as good as Plankton. This gives Mr. Krabs the idea to steal the chum recipe. That night, Mr. Krabs sneaks into the Chum Bucket trying to steal Plankton's recipe but Plankton catches him with the spoon security system. SpongeBob then grabs Plankton and starts talking about the irony of the situation, but Plankton then uses the spoon security system on SpongeBob. After Plankton reveals the name of his system, Karen shows, on screen, that Nat is heading for the Chum Bucket with a fortune. Nat comes back telling Plankton that the Chum made him sick twice since Nat only pretended to like the food so Karen would pay him so that Plankton would stop complaining. Because of this, Plankton feels miserable again and realizes that he never had a regular customer. SpongeBob tells Mr. Krabs to escape, but Mr. Krabs decides to stay and laugh at Plankton's misery. Nat was later took to the hospital and went in a ambulance with ambulance drivers after he becomes sick once again. Jjs: It feels like the more we do these countdowns, Plankton's Regular keeps getting lower and lower. Seriously, it went from #29 to #26 to #37...all the way to #48 this year. But I'm not surprised. I remember back in the old days, this was considered a problematic episode amongst the fandom, especially with how Krabs acted, the ending and some questionable gross out gags (like Nat's face getting ripped off, yeaaah). However, certain episodes that came along later did its issues much worse to the fandom (sup One Coarse Meal), and as a result, Plankton's Regular has kinda slowly became irrelevant. I'm aware some still don't look at this one favorably, after all it did make the list. Despite this one's many problems (and believe me, it is problematic), I...actually don't dislike this one? I don't know. This episode is by no means good or anything, but other than the ending, which I will admit is shitty of Krabs, the rest is inoffensive to me. If there is one thing I'll give the episode credit for, it's for at least trying something different. In the era of S6 where not many risks were taken at all, the fact the episode chose to focus on a minor character like Nat was pretty different for its time. It didn't go too far, as later seasons would try this experiment to better effect, but at its time I'll take any attempt at creativity I could get. I also did like the irony of Krabs having to steal Plankton's formula for a change, even if it leads to the shitty ending. If there is one thing I would charge the episode with however, the way Nat is abruptly written off and taken away by the medics is pretty lame. Overall, not one I dislike as I find worse in S6, but I think #48 is an alright position for it. Who knows though? Next time we do this, maybe Plankton's Regular won't be on the countdown at all, and I could see it happening tbh. Here is something interesting to consider though: if One Coarse Meal never existed at all, I wonder if this episode would get the same amount of hate OCM does in 2018? Somewhere out there, there may be an alternate timeline with this answer. Honest Slug: A part of me is surprised this episode is so low, another part of me kind-of expected it. I remember this one being one of the most hated episodes for awhile due to its treatment of Plankton and the ending, I guess more hated episodes of similar veins have taken its spotlight. To be fair this isn't one of the absolute worst of season 6 for me but I still don't like it. It's a pretty dull execution of an interesting idea, the ending is played seriously enough that it feels much more sad than the comedy ending I think they were going for and the gags are pretty groan-worthy for the most part. I can see people hating this (I don't like it myself) but I wouldn't call it atrocious, especially considering other episodes to come in the season. 14 hours ago, More said: What's next? Are past long-loathed episodes like Dear Vikings or Professor Squidward coming back to haunt us and remind us of their existence? ....oops. 47. Professor Squidward 53 points. 5 out of 25 lists. Highest Ranking: #6 - @BeachBob95 Summary: Spoiler Squidward is disdainfully watching Squilliam play his clarinet at a concert. When Squilliam finishes, Squidward leaves. He also hears someone say "He's so good, he doesn't even have to play to be good!" As Squidward walks out of the recital hall, a music school headmistress mistakes him for Squilliam. Although Squidward tells her he's not Squilliam, she ignores him and offers him a job to teach a college music class. Too tempted by the offer to correct her again, Squidward accepts the job. Later, he comes to the music class wearing a wig, posing as Squilliam. He prepares his desk, and a kid asks him if he is going to write his name on the board "like most professors do." Annoyed, Squidward tells the kid to write his name on the board. Shortly after that, Squidward discovers that SpongeBob and Patrick are in the music class he is teaching, which annoys him even more. SpongeBob and Patrick are then told that they are allowed to stay just as long as they behave themselves and keep quiet about Squidward's real name. Squidward starts teaching, but is interrupted by SpongeBob's laughter. When asked about it, SpongeBob claims that Patrick was tickling his foot, but shortly after he claims that he was tickling his own foot. In order to avoid any more distractions, Squidward moves SpongeBob away from Patrick, but he keeps on laughing anyway. When SpongeBob is told to stop tickling his foot, Patrick claims that it really was him that time, much to Squidward's surprise. Squidward starts teaching about musical scales by drawing lines on the chalkboard. Patrick then explains how they remind him of a railroad track he saw at a railroad convention last week, where he bought himself a conductor's hat. Soon after, he starts riding a mini train, only to get trapped in the trash can, though he comes back inside a minute later. Then, Squidward starts teaching the class about metronomes, much to the interest of SpongeBob and Patrick (though SpongeBob mistook it for a garden gnome). They start making a ticking noise and a news reporter suddenly comes in, wanting to do an interview with "Squilliam Fancyson," although he is soon more interested in SpongeBob and Patrick and how they are in a trance. Squidward then angrily kicks him out after talking about possible paranormal activity. SpongeBob and Patrick stop ticking and exit their trance when the bell rings. They forget where they are and start calling Squidward by his real name, which upsets the rest of the class, causing them to leave. Squidward desperately blocks the door with his body to no avail, as the police come in along with the music headmistress and Squilliam Fancyson himself. The music headmistress mockingly points out how easy it is to distinguish the two (despite the fact that she offered Squidward the job after he said he wasn't Squilliam). After noticing that Squidward does not have a unibrow, he is quickly arrested for "impersonating a genius," leaving SpongeBob and Patrick alone with the metronome ticking. Soon after, they are in a trance again, imitating the metronome as the episode ends. Jjs: I know some don't think this episode is worth hating anymore, and while I agree there are worse, I'm still not a fan of this one. For an episode about SpongeBob and Patrick annoying Squidward, this episode sure is boring as heck. That's my biggest issue with it. It's just so goddamn boring. I can never click with this one. I still don't find any of the jokes funny. And yeah, SpongeBob and Patrick can be pretty annoying at parts here. Maybe this is personal taste, but the style of this episode also feels really dry and slow at points, and it doesn't work for me. Squilliam was pretty wasted here, too. Another problem for me is that episodes like Artist Unknown and to a lesser extent New Student Starfish do everything this episode does much better and funnier. The episode just doesn't add anything new for me unfortunately. That being said, it is pretty low on my list (it was only #22), so it's not one I dislike that much. I am perfectly fine with it making this spot on the list, but much like Plankton's Regular, I wouldn't be surprised if this disappears entirely in future countdowns. Trophy: May as well preface this by saying More, I'm absolutely not sorry that this is still high on my list at number eleventh and that I'm shocked that it keeps getting lower and lower every year, because this one still haunts me to this day to the point where I'd at least keep it top 25. I can get not being as hated, but nothing has changed about just how utterly annoying nearly everything in this episode is. The episode starts out fine enough but when SpongeBob and Patrick get in literally everything is indefensible for me, they do nothing but act annoying, repeat the same gags with the clock and tickling feet, and it's such a drag the entire way through until of course the ending, where it is justified but still....come on. There's nothing positive for me to find in this episode besides maybe liking the mini Patrick as a train conductor in terms of design, but even that joke falls flat due to the rest of the episode having nothing positive to hold itself up with at all. It's a waste of my time, and I'll say that it and Shuffleboarding combine for the worst production pair of the entire series. WinterArcanine
48: Plankton's Regular I agree is bad, for an episode with an original concept it's surprisengly boring and i feel like the concept wasn't executed well. Mr Krabs shouldn't have cared so much about Plankton having one customer, and the plot twist might have been too cruel for Plankton. 47: I simply find this episode meh. Honestly it's not a squid abuse since Squidward impersonated Squilliam to teach the class anyway so it was all justified, and the episode has a few good jokes. JCM
An ending, in my eyes, can ruin an episode just as easily as it can make an episode an all-time great. The ending to Plankton's Regular is problematic not just because of how it treats Plankton in contrast to Mr. Krabs, who honestly acts worse throughout the episode but is given his moment of triumph because of course he does but because it effectively renders pointless everything that came before it. All of the buildup to what might have been an interesting conclusion with SpongeBob trying to get Nat to eat a Krabby Patty and Mr. Krabs trying to steal Plankton's formula for once leads to some of the worst writing I've seen in a season packed with horrible writing and an ending that I feel cheats the viewer. They might as well have done the standard "it was all a dream" ending and it probably would have frustrated me less. The episode I can most easily compare Plankton's Regular to when discussing what I think about it is Plankton's Pet. A PR-like ending to Plankton's Pet would involve Spot not coming back, Plankton getting mauled by the animals in the shelter, and Mr. Krabs showing up to laugh at him for good measure. An ending can define an episode, and while PP's ending propels it from being just a good episode to being one of the all-time greats, PR's ending sinks it from being just a bad episode to being one of the worst I've ever seen. Yeah, OCM is a worse Plankton-Krabs ep all-around, but I'm not giving Plankton's Regular a free pass just because it's not the worst Plankton-Krabs ep, and I don't think the rest of the community should, either. Professor Squidward I don't remember much at all, and how forgettable it is is probably its best aspect.
RD Rockruff
Plankton's Regular was... not great. It was boring and Mr. Krabs was greedy as heck here. That's all I can say, as there's little substance to this episode otherwise. Professor Squidward on the other hand is an 11 minute waste of time. It's borderline unfunny and it's among the most boring episodes of the show.
Turo
Plankton's Regular is the only Plankton episode in s6 I find it bad. It's no longer as terrible as I thought it was but it had bad gross out jokes and a shitty end. Just like what JCM, said, If this episode had tried harder, It would have been a great role switch episode. As for Professor Squidward, I always thought Squidward deserved punishment in this one but that's not enough to make this one good. It was just boring and tedious to watch.
