So I started watching SpongeBob season 3 on DVD the other night, and when I got to this episode it was like re-living being really little again. Every joke had me laughing and I was shocked at how much more I enjoyed it now (it's been so long since I even sat down and watched SpongeBob). Anyway, I went to school yesterday and spoke about it with my friends and suddenly all my love and passion returned for the series, thanks to this episode. So yeah, I like it a lot more than I did, especially since it helped to rekindle my love for SpongeBob.

"Boating school? I thought this was Spanish class!"

I loved this episode. It's another funny season 3 episode. It's not one of the best episodes of this season because there were a lot of better season 3 episodes than this one. SpongeBob and Patrick were both good in this episode but I think Roger was the best character in this episode, even though he only appeared at the end of this episode. SpongeBob's "I thought of something funnier than 24, 25." line is funny but It's very overrated in my opinion. Patrick drawing Mrs. Puff and then Mrs. Puff saying "As if I really look like this!" really cracked me up. The fight part was very funny. Roger's part at the end was hilarious. 10/10 again.

In this episode, Patrick goes to boating school with SpongeBob, and unsurprisingly, the starfish turns out to be a horrible student. I like how the episode explored SpongeBob and Patrick's relationship by putting them in a setting where the differences in their personalities would really show. SpongeBob loves school, and he has 74 good noodle stars to show for it. Patrick couldn't care less about school, and he acts like your typical underachiever, drawing unflattering pictures of his teacher and shooting spitballs at the nerd in the back. When these personalities clash, they go from being friends to being enemies, and their differences culminate in what is probably the least exciting fight scene in history. Overall, it's a solid episode, and my only complaint is that Mrs. Puff wasn't as interesting here as she was in No Free Rides and Krusty Love. But, since she didn't play as big of a role in this episode, it didn't really affect the episode's ranking.

I loved this episode! These are my favourite parts:

(Patrick shows a bad drawing of Mrs Puff as Big Fat Meanie)

Spongebob: Patrick! You can't do that! She's the teacher!

Mrs Puff: What about the teacher? (Sees the drawing and gasps, showing herself like the picture)

As if I really look like this!

Patrick: 24. (He and Spongebob laugh)

Spongebob: Hey, Patrick. I have thought of something funnier than 24.

Patrick: Let me hear it.

Spongebob: 25! (Both laugh again)

Mrs Puff: Come on now, tell the class your name. Don’t be nervous. (Patrick gets nervous) We just want to know your name. (Patrick gets more nervous)

Patrick: 24? (class laughs hysterically)

Mrs Puff: (sarcastically) Oh great, another genius.

Patrick: (sits back down) Why are they laughing?

SpongeBob: I guess it’s just in the timing.

Patrick: Oh. (Patrick laughs after a brief pause)

SpongeBob: (takes Roger) I’ll keep him warm and you get a light bulb from the supply closet.

Patrick: (opens the door to the supply closet) Light bulb!

(there is a pile of light bulbs but Patrick is looking at

the one that is already plugged in at the top) But why does it have to be so far away? (begins to climb the pile of bulbs. SpongeBob tries warming up the egg by sitting on it, huffing and puffing on it, etc. while Patrick is still climbing the pile of light bulbs. Patrick finally reaches the top, blows a horn, then runs down the pile with the light bulb)

This is definitely a very good season three episode segment, but for some reason, it doesn't air a lot in the area where I live. Or...maybe it does, and I just don't catch it when it airs. Still, I'd give this episode a 10/10. Enough said, true believers! ;)
