terminoob Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 I would rather be in every Saw movie than listen to rap.
Wumbo Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 For the people who say "OMGZ YOU CAN'T SPELL TEH CRAP WITHOUT TEH RAP!!!111", don't. I guess if you've truly listened to all rap, it would be fine. But most people who proclaim this think rap means T-Pain (no), Akon (no), and Soulja Boyyyy (HUGE no). Go back and listen to Run-DMC. Beastie Boys. The people who crack me up the most are the ones who "hate rap" and praise bands like Linkin Park. *headdesk* Listen to Somewhere I Belong. What is Mike Shinoda doing? THAT'S RIGHT, HE'S RAPPING! So go past mainstream rappers today, and listen to other rap. Then you can judge it. 1

Wumbo Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 ....Are not rap. Try hip-hop. Yeah, I knew you would call me out on that. I'm kinda surprised that you didn't call me out on K-os though. Anyway, after I made that post I realized that both of them are not rap. *edits* Also, the comment wasn't directed at you terminoob. It was directed at ignorant people who dislike rap because of Soulja Boy, T-Pain, whatever...

Ron Posted February 12, 2010 Author Posted February 12, 2010 Jeez! You guys are all rap haters! Give a reason why you hate it.
Karen Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I'm not a fan either. I do respect the talent of rappers, but I would much rather listen to a song with a good melody, instrumentation, etc.

Ron Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Why? IMO, rap is awesome! You can't just start rapping. You need air and vocals...
terminoob Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Why? IMO, rap is awesome! You can't just start rapping. You need air and vocals... Rap: Rhythm and poetry. Yes, at first, not everyone can do it. But come now; at the pace rap is going, it's child's play. Write a poem that doesn't need to make sense at all, put it to a beat, and say it really fast. Other music: Actually need a drumbeat, a bassline, guitar riffs, a catchy tune so people will actually LISTEN to your music, good lyrics (again, so people will actually LISTEN to your music)... ect. That's what I think. 1
dragiiin123 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I could rap. And I lack in melody and harmony completely.
