Disney's Current Schedule for 2015-17

Here's the teaser trailer for The Good Dinosaur:

I think the designs for the dinosaurs generally look really good but the color palette seems weird to me. I think there's too much of a contrast between (what I assume is) the main dinosaur and the background, but at the same time if that is the main dinosaur then the contrast works because it's so obvious that that's the main dinosaur. I feel like it could've worked just as fine if his green skin was toned down just a smidge.

My immediate thought is that it's a shockingly uncreative premise for Pixar, but I'm sure they've got something big planned. I'm really hoping for a good tear-jerker of an ending. We haven't had one of those from Pixar in a while.

Jeez, Frozen 2 is coming out in two years? That's crazy fast. They must've started working on it like the weekend that Frozen opened.

Assuming it'll come out in December, that's a good four years after the original film was released. That's hardly "crazy fast". In fact, it's actually pretty late especially for the cash cow Frozen has managed to become with only one film and a short.

To be fair, I think he's referring to crazy fast for Disney theatrical animated movie sequel standards.

I guess that's true enough. I think it's weird to me because they announced it so late. I would've figured they'd've announced it when they started working on it.

oh hey, this is

BURGER'S LOOKING BACK AT HOW STUPID HE AND OTHER PEOPLE (NOBODY IN PARTICULAR) WERE

so, uh, let the painful memories begin

retrospective thoughts below:

Spoiler

Tomorrowland was decent, if nothing spectacular.

Avengers: Age of Ultron was... extremely disappointing. I mean, considering the high standard the first one set, I should've expected it to not outshine it, but...

I adored everything about Inside Out at the time, but it's growing off me at an alarming rate.

Ant-Man was a great movie, but I believe it could be one of the best in the MCU if they just let Edgar Wright do what he'd wanted to do.

The Good Dinosaur just seemed to come and go, didn't it? Didn't strike me with anything interesting from the trailer, frankly.

Star Wars Episode VII was great. Not much more than that.

Zootopia, similar to Inside Out, quickly descended to "meh" for me.

Did anyone actually demand a sequel to the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland? That needs to be addressed.

Civil War was some great fun.

Finding Dory made for a decent way to waste a hour and a half. Otherwise, it's nothing really special.

Doctor Strange turned out to be one of the weakest MCU movies I've seen, but it's still decent.

Rouge One didn't really leave an impression on me, honestly

GITS is... apparently good for remake standards? Refused to give a watch after learning about the bullshit they added to defend whitewashing (which, mind you, isn't even something I care about most of the time)

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is currently shaping up to be one of my favorite movies of this year, such a blast.

I'm hopeful for the new Star Wars, discard what I said earlier.

Toy Story 4 is kind of a "I'll see where the fuck this goes" kind of deal.

Pirates 5 is better than the last one, but I still hesitate to call it good. It is, at the very least, not boring like how On Stranger Tides was.

Tomorrowland (Seems cool. Don't know if I'll be seeing it though.)
Avengers: Age of Ultron (Never really been interesting in these weirdos.)
Inside Out (Eh. The trailer was pretty funny but I'm not sure this will be able to sustain a whole film.)
Ant-Man (Seems cool. Don't know if I'll be seeing it though.)
Bridge of Spies (ew history)
The Good Dinosaur (Sounds interesting.)
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (If it's not a sequel to the Phineas and Ferb crossover, I'm not interested.)
The Finest Hours (boo disasters films)
Zootopia (I like the logo?)
The Jungle Book Remake (Didn't Disney already do a remake of this?)
Alice Through The Looking Glass (who cares)
Captain America: Civil War (I don't care about this weirdo either.)
Finding Dory (YES)
The BFG (Why the hell is the title abbreviated?)
Pete's Dragon Remake (What's a Pete's Dragon?)
Moana (This sounds like a Disney Princess porno.)
Doctor Strange (All doctors are strange.)
Star Wars: Rouge One (BUT IS IT A SEQUEL TO THE PHINEAS AND FERB CROSSOVER)
Beauty and the Best Remake (I don't care)
Ghost in the Shell (ew anime)
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 (Didn't see the first movie.)
Star Wars Episode VII (WHAT ABOUT PHINEAS AND FERB)
Toy Story 4 (I like Toy Story but if it's gonna be a rom-com...Yeah, I don't know about that.)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (Indeed.)

I don't know what happened to this man, but I want him back.
