    It's been a while huh? I've been sick (I'm doing a lot better now than I was for a while and seem to be recovering pretty well) and been a bit busy with other stuff .... and I had the thought about embracing myself with a lot of self-love and care. So I decided to post some of my sb related doodles from last year.

    I've been wanting to seriously draw more especially recently, so I'm hoping I can start building up a habit again to do so. But first old doodles cause they still make me happy tbh.

    It's the costumes for me! Second place choice for me is the candy. Really sad that I can't dress up or do anything this year but I plan to try and enjoy Halloween as much as I can regardless.

    Your SpongeBob Spinoff ideas

    Yeah most of my ideas for spin-offs involve a lot of ideas from Creature from the Krusty Krab and a little bit from other games like Lights Camera Pants and Employee of the Month

    I think my ideal for a spin-off would be one that focuses on areas beyond Bikini Bottom or on characters that aren't just Spongebob or Patrick

     

    Like the ideas of a Squidward or Sandy spinoff sounds like cool ideas to me because those two have interesting stuff going for them like Sandy doing more marine biologist stuff or hanging out with the Gal Pals more

    And then the idea with Squidward having something beyond him being fodder to Spongebob and Patrick's shenanigans or being at the Krusty Krab also sounds nice. There's a lot that can be done with that

    Yeye! There was a lot of wild ideas that went into CFKK that I would have loved to see actually as a special or a spin-off like especially all that was related to Starfishman 

    I would definitely watch a tv show based on the goofiness of Patrick as a super hero. I think it would still definitely be a comedy of course but one with a lot more action-ny fun attached to it with maybe even a tiny bit of story... Maybe even with a bit of use of the Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy villains since there's a lot of room for potential there with some of them even without it being exactly about MM and BB with newer super heroes taking on the duties of defending the sea from evil... Or at least attempting it 

    OR one based entirely on Diesel Dreaming where its all about hot rods and racing complete with the wild style and everything....  Which honestly to me sounds like the potential for something VERY WEIRD BUT KINDA EXPERIMENTAL AND COOL? With the way how animation is nowadays I could picture it either 2d or 3d doing pseudo-2d... Do I think it could hold up alone as a full show? Probably not... But I think it would still be an interesting watch.

    Why Creature from the Krusty Krab needs more love

    The game still remains to be my favorite Spongebob game's out of the main console releases and I still stand by it even though I love a lot about the other ones like BfBB (the original and rehydrated), movie game and even Revenge of the Flying Dutchman. I think the main thing that sticks out for me when it comes down to CFTKK is just how incredibly weird the game is compared to the others. The entire vibe of the game strangely darker and feels honestly like a fever dream... which is probably what they were going for too considering how the levels get later down the line (especially the final one). It never scared me as a kid, but it definitely was a huge inspiration art and music wise for me.

    The music, which by the way is also on the top of my most favorite video game soundtracks ever, is fantastic and works extremely with the fever dream like aesthetic the game got going for it.... and it also contains REALLY GOOD VERSIONS OF GRASS SKIRT CHASE.

     

    This game is also why my entire presence here is based around this guy-

    SO yeah 100% I'd recommend playing through it, especially now! I feel like it's a good October kind of game! (Maybe not the wii port due to the poor motion controls with the wenches.... but the ps2 and gamecube versions are fine) I haven't played through the gba/ds versions and I still haven't touched Nighty Nightmares yet (but will probably soon)

    so u h.... I've thinking a lot on the silly little comic I made and I wanna continue it and I kinda already plotted out some stuff

    I'm gonna be super honest:

    I KINDA SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THE ANNOUNCEMENT AND I'M ALSO VERY HYPED.

    That being said I will try to keep myself very calm because man I don't wanna make my expectations way too high. But god... GOD I'M EXCITED. It's been too long when it comes to notable original spongebob game content and I'm here for it! :plankton2:

    also bonus thing that isn't exactly drawn art but I don't know where to put it so I'm just attaching it here like a moron, but I made a little cover of downtown bikini bottom from yellow avengers and later on I might make a little animated video attached to it bc that would fun. I've done it before with Mrs. Puff's boating school before too- actually let me post that too-

    Things/Shows That Scared You As A Kid

    I really absolutely did not like "Bump in the Night" as much as I actually liked claymation and stop motion even as a little kid. I found the main character absolutely creepy and probably was the source of a couple of nightmares and made me not even want to look underneath my own bed.  I didn't want to even see the opening. Once it was on I was out of the living room and in my room covering my ears. Looking at the opening to it now, I somewhat understand where my fear came from but I also find it kinda silly that I was afraid of it. It's strange looking, but not quite as scary as I remember it.

     

    Now I'm actually more curious to watch it though and see what exactly childhood me refused to see o.o

    231b. Ink Lemonade

    So I'm probably going to end up repeating what everyone has been saying here but, I decided to watch the episode because I kept seeing all the harshness towards it... and my curiosity kicked in and here I am.

    ....and its the first episode of s11 (I think) that I watched so far... and I probably shouldn't have because that's a weird start but  well...

    Boy did this episode made me kinda speechless. It was just weird for me because I was expecting a spongebob episode but the way how it presented it self with it's animation and entire atmosphere and even the background music  felt like a cartoon like you all said like Ren and Stimpy.

    and while that wasn't bad by itself and I actually like the animation too.  It just made the whole thing more jarring that funny really. I really kept asking myself "what cartoon am I watching again?"

    And from the start to finish I didn't like Patrick at any given moment. The likability points went down the drain today folks as not only was he incredibly dumb acting but also a deceiving horrible person!!  

    I always didn't like the meaner characterization of Patrick and I probably never will, and this episode was just down right Patrick knowing EXACTLY what he was doing and I really just baffled me on Patrick actually using what he knew (and what I thought Patrick would never actually know or bring up) about Squidward's fears? The whole idea of Patrick setting all of that up, knowing exactly what scares him and everything sounds... really ridiculous. I'm probably looking into things way too much but this whole epsiode didn't feel real to me.

    Uh what else...

    Spongebob felt like he was just there to be there. He was pretty much there to run the shop and give the excuse to allow Patrick to run back and start torturing Squidward and doesn't offer anything else really besides the megaphone screaming. 

    The joke of the fish throwing up in Squidward's house wasn't funny to me at all, just adds more salt to the already bad wound that is is Squidward abuse.

    The whole thing was sort of predictable to me in terms of the whole plot of "Spongebob and Patrick do a dumb thing that gives them success in something and when Squidward finally caves from the insanity he tries it and ultimately gets punished for it instead of the yellow and pink idiots who did it in the first place." Works in some episodes, wasn't very good here.

    The ending was....ok? It was predictable, gross out humor the entire episode had.

    This....wasn't absolutely horrible. It was watchable, and I could watch it again for sure.... but it wasn't a "good bad" kind of thing either. 

     

    It was just weird in tone and in plot. This was probably one of the worst episodes to start on the latest season.

    in which I revive my art thread with a doodle after I've finally had time to calm down from horrible life drama and pain (or at least distract myself enough) to draw a starfish with way too many offshoots of himself.

    ..... plenty actually. A whole town and more. Most of which aren't Dreaded patricks though.

    " None of you are in my will!"

    ..... I never said it was a good or important message, but nevertheless it's a message.

    Once said, he disappeared wherever hermits go when they die by fishermen.

    Hi yes I'm totally not dead from college and life problems. They haven't killed me yet! I'm still alive and somewhat trying to kick. Hopefully life isn't trying to be an angry squirrel with a trombone.
