    I got a old HP Pavilion dv7 on and running. Just that it shuts off every time. Stupid fan.

      Well, my laptop clearly got moved around today by someone, so that's probably why the charger fell out. As for the fan, it never fell out of the USB or messed up or whatever.

      For some odd reason; when my laptop gets unplugged from the charger, it can only last 1-2 hours tops. :P

      yep its USB powered. So far it's been working fine; the only time my laptop shut off today was when the charger accidentaly got disconnected.

      They sell external fan-pads you can put under your laptop. I'm using one right now.

      My laptop is only like 4 years old, and just shuts itself off all the time now; it doesn't even "shut down", just switches off.
