i still find it absolutely hilarious looking back at posts from that time (pretty much none of which familiar with trap) declaring Harlem Shake as the worst thing ever, considering how prevalent trap is on the charts now

• i actually didn't even realize that was actually a jar of pee on my first watch, and if i did i would probably make jokes about it very loudly in the theater
• by the time of the martha scene, i got so detached from what i was watching i just sat on my seat thinking "wow, there are writers who actually got paid for this".
• haha, i admit that was pretty good
• yeah, jesse was fuckin awful in this weirdly fascinating way... but he was also the only thing in the movie that kept me watching, otherwise i probably would've left sometime in the middle of it

I've always kind of been especially disappointed in Calvin Harris, because I actually really like "Acceptable in the 80's". Maybe his other stuff isn't really bad per say, but I've never really forgave him for switching his style to the indistinguishable muck that's apparently here to stay. (Seriously, is house the only genre of electronic music the pop industry think exists?)
