Hey. My name is Amphitrite, and welcome to my profile! As you may know, I love the most popular Nickelodeon show ever: SpongeBob SquarePants. I immediately became hooked onto the show when it first came out.

What I Think of the Show Now

In 2004, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was released for the first time. I asked my mom to take me to see it, and I ADORED it. But, at the time, the show was going to be put to rest, and I was highly depressed to see my show go away so soon. But... in 2005... something happened: SpongeBob was revived! I was so happy to see this day and more adventures of the yellow sponge come. I caught the airing of the first post-movie episode "Fear of a Krabby Patty/Shell of a Man". And, I loved it. These great episodes would later be followed by some more great season 4 episodes. Unfortunately, as the season progressed, I noticed a decline in quality of the show with some untolerable and contemptable episodes like "The Thing", "New Leaf", and "Wigstruck", which showed how unlikable the characters were becoming as the series went on. When the mixed bag season 5 came, the episodes ranged from good to bad, especially near the end. And, when season 6 came, the show hit rock bottom at this point. SpongeBob became even more dumber than he usually was, and became a psycho-stalker toward Squidward, who gained an unnecessarily large number of Squidward-abuse episodes. Along comes season 7, where the show has been said to have gotten better, but in reality is nearly no better than the awful season 6. More mean-spirited episodes like "A Pal for Gary", "Yours, Mine and Mine", "One Coarse Meal", and "Stuck in the Wringer" arrived, and are unbearable. At this point, I was about ready to give up on the show. But, then... we got season 8. When I saw the first two episodes of this season: "A Friendly Game/Oral Report", they were a real facelift from the horrible season 6 and 7. Nearly every episode in this season is season 1-3 quality, the character became likable again, the episode plots were creative, and the old humor came back. We are now in season 9, and at this point, the show is getting even more interesting as it progresses. And, I heard that there will be a 10th season and a second movie. I pray, with all my love for the show, that SpongeBob SquarePants will be the sponge we all know and love, again.

My other interests

Along with the popular sea sponge, I'm also a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda series. My most favorite games from the series are "Ocarina of Time", "Twilight Princess", and "Skyward Sword". Of course, many of my favorite video games come from Nintendo, and I have over 50 of them, now. And, in the future I'm hoping I finally when "A Link Between Worlds", soon. And, my favorite channels are Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney Channel. I watch just about every show from those channels during my off time, and always hope for great new shows from each of them.
