Wanted to say thank you all for the Honorary Staff Member induction. It was my honor to serve SBC for all the time that I did, and I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.
And @Renegade the Unicorn congrats on your win, my friend, it's clear you deserve it.

Oh man, did not think you'd bring Storm Racers back, but I'm happy you decided to take us on one last drive through their world. I've missed these characters and this last team-up/send-off felt like the perfect way to pay homage to them and their world. Great moments, engaging action, fun easter eggs, and a sense that these characters go on to continue living their best lives. Once more, and for the last time, it was a great ride.

I know I said it earlier, but once more, I wish you a happy 10th! I feel all the moments and events you chose were fitting, and it was fun to see what your top 10 S/O's have been (much love for the TS shoutout).
I just have to say that you've been such a wonderful friend to me over these years, and like OMJ said above, it's hard - no impossible - to imagine any version of SBC without you. You're the rock that holds this community together, through your invaluable leadership and untradeable friendship. When you look back on your decade here, I hope that you see just as we all do that it's been one of camaraderie, hard work, and passion. Love you <3.

By now, the rest of staff already knows this, but at this time, I'd like to inform you guys - the members.
Effective today, I am resigning as a Manager on SBC. It's been such a joy to serve you all and to have helped coordinate our successful projects this Spring, including the ninth Spin-Off Festival and the implementation of V13.
At this time, I'd just like to explain a little bit of why I'm stepping down. Over the past year, alongside getting the amazing opportunity to be an SBC admin, I have also started a career in publishing. And more recently over the last few months, I have begun to make significant strides in this field, so I am going off to explore this avenue full-time. Unfortunately, this conflicts with my duties as a Manager on this community. So despite how hard this might be, I see no other choice but to step down.
In that same manner, it's probably safe to say that I will not be as active here anymore either. And this doesn't mean I'm just disappearing forever, because this wonderful site means so much to me. I'll still drop in from time to time for sure.
SBC was a second home to me through a somewhat turbulent adolescence (whose teenhood wasn't the slightest bit chaotic, amirite), as I'm sure it was to a lot of other veterans, and what it is now for the modern day userbase.
However, I think there's something to be said about leaving "home" and getting a little lost out there (in a good way ). And on that note, I am reminded of this beautiful quote:
"Where we love is home. Home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts."
So to this site, I say "Thank You."
To my good friends here, @Jon Snow, @SOF, @Hayden, @WhoBob, and so many more. To my fellow staff members, truly a stellar team, @JCM, @OWM, @PEPSI✭MAN, @smashmouthfan99, @Cha, @Patty Rose, @Aquatic Konquest. To all the members here, thank you for letting me be your admin, your friend, your colleague.
I'll never forget the memories I've made here, the experiences I've had (in leadership especially), and the lessons I've learned. And I know Spin-Offs aren't as popular anymore, but it was through them that my writing style grew and I become even more confident as a storyteller. So wherever I go next in my career, I will always be held forever in this site's grace for pushing me there, for being a stepping stone.
Alright, I've rambled enough. Thank you, and take great care of this forum for me until I get back from where I'm going .
Much love, teenj12.

Following up on the first announcement from our Direct...
(Credit to Patty for the beautiful logo)
Our annual event celebrating Spin-Offs and Literatures returns once more!
What is the Spin-Off Festival, if you don't know? The Spin-Off Festival, or SOF ( ), is an event where we honor people's well-written spin-offs and literatures ("Spin-Off and Literature Festival" doesn't quite have the same ring, does it?), whether past or present, with games, events, and more! Going from May 24th, 2019 to June 17th, 2019, we're going to have our most game-changing Spin-Off Festival yet! What will it have? Well, for the first time since the implementation of SOF Tickets in 2015, we're introducing a brand new concept: Festival King/Queen! The user who posts the most written content over the course of the festival will be awarded not only the title of Festival King or Queen, but:
- A custom badge (denoting your royal status)
- "Rose Gold" colored username (so that you can flex on all the peasants)
- 10,000 Doubloons (get rich quick, amirite?)
- 1000 Reputation Points (I mean, c'mon, you definitely don't wanna miss out on this title!)However, there is one important rule:
- All written material must be at least four hundred words long (just the equivalent of two paragraphs), so spam/joke-offs won't be eligible work. And of course, aside from writing, there will be several more exciting things to do. Here's what else you can expect:
SpongeBob Whodunnit? - SOF Edition: Whodunnit returns once again! Solve the impending mystery and rake in those SOF tickets!
Spin-Off & Lit Trivia Contest: Do you think you know your spin-offs and lits? Test your skill and let's find out!
SpongeCraft Tournaments: Spongecraft will get two cool carnival themed games during the event.
SpongeBob Wheel of Fortune: There will be four Spin-Off & Literature Wheel of Fortune games on Fridays (May 24th, May 31st, June 7th, and June 14th) during the event.
SpongeBob Jeopardy: There will be four Jeopardy games during the event (May 25, June 1st, June 8th, and June 15th), all counting for SOF tickets, though only the May 25th game will be Spin-Off/Lit themed.
Dunces and Dragons: D&D returns for the event, with several spin-off/lit related roleplaying games!
SOF Tickets & Prize Store: SOF Tickets will be returning for the fifth time. These are a temporary sub-currency, similar to Doubloons. You'll be able to earn these from winning a multitude of games during the festival, along with several other methods. You can use these to buy special prizes at the Prize Store, a temporary new Store category. There will be several cool new prizes this year, and we'll offer many chances for you to rake as many tickets as possible to get them. Even if you think you suck at the regular games, there will be a ton of new ways to earn them.
Spin-Off/Lit Games & Stores: Just like the past four years, we'll be allowing users to create spin-off/lit themed games and make their own stores! In addition to the existing mini-games, users can make their own games. As for stores, you can continue an existing store or make a new spin-off/lit themed store in the Glove Universe club.
And more to come!
If you don't write or read any spin-offs/lits, that;s okay. You don't have to read or make any to participate in this event. You can either only focus on writing your spin-offs, only focus on the games, or reading people's spin-offs... go wild. If you loved the past few SOFs, then you will love this one too. Now, let's see who will become our Festival King or Queen!

Aquatic Avengers: Unite!

I have to say, for your final work, you went out on the highest of notes. This show encapsulated exactly why I love you as a writer. With every work you do, you're always reaching for the stars in a way that feels very much within the confines of what you do best. Action, adventure, heart, all words that can describe anything you've done from Storm Racers to Aquatic Avengers.
For this work in particular, I could see all the best parts of the influences you took to make this thrilling new corner of the Jjsverse. The Boys is obviously one of the influences, and I appreciate the way you kept the spirit from that but twisted it into something slightly more lighthearted and hopeful. That signature Jjsverse heroism greatly balanced the darkness out.
I enjoyed all the characters, the old, the remixed, and the legacies from Jjsverse-past. I squealeddddd when Mighty Max showed up on the scene, as that was a character that I definitely wanted in the mix for this. I didn't expect him to have such a meaty role like he did, so I enjoyed getting to spend an extended amount of time with him, possibly more than we got on Mystic Guardians.
Thank you for allowing us to go on one last ride through the Jjsverse, a world that I find hard to believe began over a decade ago. Since then, that world has not only expanded, but you've also expanded as a writer, and it's been a joy to watch how much. Perhaps your writing career here on SBC has come to an end, but I don't believe this is the last thing I'll ever read from you. I'll be anxiously anticipating the next time I get the privilege of being mesmerized by your words.
