With 2019 list season coming closer and closer, I'd like to state that it's been awhile since a song shrunk faster on me than "Please Me" did. And it's been awhile since a song grew on me as fast as "Going Bad" did.

The Weeknd’s new song is already a contender for best hit song of the year just for this line alone:

Netflix ended this year on a strong note with Bird Box. I think the movie could have been so much more than what we ended up with. But Sandra Bullock without a doubt carried this movie with one of the best acting performances she’s ever given.

The real "Worst Hit Song of 2018" is "broken" by lovelytheband. Let's just get that out of the way now before I start working on the actual music lists for this year. The most uninspired half assed piece of shit to crossover from the alt rock charts of the last ten years. It's the best example of everything that I hate that a genre I adore so much has become.

It pains me to say this because I love the Harry Potter franchise so much. But the Fantastic Beasts franchise is already pissing me off after two, with many more movies to come. The second one is at least ten times worse than the first and I had no idea what the hell was the point of anything more than half the run time. Such a confusing disaster of a movie series.

Why should I be told to go back to 1999 by two singers who weren’t even in elementary school when the 90s were over? And here I thought Ready Player One would be the most shameless plugging of properties without any actual substance I’d see this year.
Also this song is a bop...if your name is Todd Phillips.

A Star is Born is so freaking excellent that it feels super real. Honestly haven't been this blown away by a movie in awhile.

Just heard someone on television say that Cardi B and Offset are the newer, better Beyonce and Jay-Z. Let's see if this absurd hot take lasts the test of time. I give it less than a year, if even that.
